We began using Credit Recovery Consultants in XX/XX/2018. We were shown blacked out credit reports of people with bankruptcy that improved from low 500 scores to high 700 scores. We were told that since we didn't have any bankruptcies or judgements we could probably get the credit fixed within 60 days. XXXX XXXX charged us the $ 800+ dollars to tell us to pay off our credit cards ( {$8000.00} ), get a secure credit card ( {$300.00} ) and a few other things. While the credit card pay off improved MY credit some it did not improve my husband at all as he was not on the cards. We continued through the process to the end and did everything asked of us. In XX/XX/XXXX, yes ... way beyond the 60 days quoted, I tried calling XXXX multiple times to see why our credit had taken a dive. No answer. When we finally got ahold of him two weeks later he stated it was because a line of credit had been closed ( although, he was the one who submitted the information to the credit bureau to have it closed ). He then, without my permission used my credit card he had on file to charge a credit monitoring service for {$49.00} each for me and my husband. At the end, my credit showed little improvement and my husbands had shown no change. When we would call to ask XXXX what steps to do next, he literally had no idea about the file, what had been disputed, etc. PLEASE save your money and don't waste your time and hope with this man. This is a total scam.
