I signed on with Credit Expert LLC in XXXX of 2020. I have been charged {$39.00} monthly since then, for a total of {$190.00}.
Credit Expert LLC has a full copy of my credit report, but also requested access to my XXXX XXXX profile and XXXX login, which I did not feel comfortable with.
They stated that they have filed two " rounds '' of disputes. I have not had any deletions, and therefore, to my understanding, this company is in violation of the Credit Repair Organizations Act which prohibits Credit Repair companies from charging upfront fees prior to delivering deletions.
Additionally, in a recent CFPB action against a similar Credit Repair company " XXXX XXXX '', the Telemarketing Sales Rule restricting upfront fees was also invoked.
I have requested a full refund from the company which they have refused. They mention the " work '' they've done and the rounds of disputes, but there are not any results.
They created a client portal and requested that I fill out a creditor sheet, but I did not have time to do this nor should this have affected their ability to effectively dispute on my behalf.
If they aren't able to accomplish deletions, I accept that, but I should not be charged or denied a refund if they have not been able to accomplish any meaningful benefit for me whatsoever.
They did agree to refund {$39.00} from the previous month, which I had requested that they not pull 3 days before the due date, and they pulled anyway. But, they have declined to refund the payments since XXXX.
This still leaves {$150.00} that I am owed.
If they had accomplished even one deletion, I would not be requesting this. But they have charged me upfront before any results were delivered. I believe that they were just trying to string me along with monthly payments.
I am requesting that this company refund the payments that I've made since they were charged upfront before any results were delivered. I felt that 5 months was long enough to at least see some kind of accomplishment, or even one deletion, if they were able to do what they claimed.
