Over 15 years ago I lived in California with my girlfriend, XXXX XXXX and her XXXX children, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. While I would be at work XXXX would take her children to various doctors for unknown reasons, and instead of putting herself or the children 's father ( XXXX XXXX, he lives in XXXX Texas ) as the " RESPONSIBLE PARTY '', she wrote down my name and my address. She would then access the mailbox each day and intercept any bills that arrived for her children and discard them so that I had no knowledge of them. Eventually XXXX stole my car, filled the trunk with the most expensive electronics in the house, and drove to Texas with her children to be reunited with her ex-husband. The last I heard XXXX had XXXX XXXX. ( XXXX : XXXX ) I first learned about the medical expenses for XXXX XXXX and XXXXXXXX XXXX children after the bills had been consolidated into lump sums and given to The Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo County , XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX , CA XXXX, ( XXXX ) XXXX. I immediately called the Bureau and explained the situation, and I was told that although I was not technically responsible for the medical bills that the Bureau had already spoken with XXXX, and she did not care about her credit - but, by the fact that I was calling about the debt, it indicated that I DID care about my own credit score, and therefore the Credit Bureau would be taking action against me to damage my credit until I paid the medical expenses for XXXXXXXX XXXX and XXXXXXXX XXXX children in full. I did not have the money to the expenses, and I also thought it odd that a company could legally take action against me for debt that is not my own. Sure enough my FICO dropped from the near XXXX to the XXXX. I could not even get a job as employers check FICO scores and use it as a determining factor in the hiring process. Over 15 years later I am still receiving notices that new and additional actions have been taken against my credit score by The Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo. My score is still in the high XXXX after all these years, solely because of actions taken by The Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo. Last night I searched on them for a contact number and I came across a TON of articles claiming the " Credit Bureau '' is actually just a privately-owned business owned by a local area man who purchases debts from the county and then attempts to recoup the money through all legal as well as illegal means. Basically two things happened here - I was the victim of a form of identity theft, and then I became a victim of a corrupt business called The Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo. I am married these days with a XXXX year old daughter now. I still can not find a job because my FICO has not risen in the past 15 years because of The Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo. I 'll be XXXX years old this year and am concerned that this company will keep my credit damaged until the day I XXXX unless someone intervenes and stops them. What they are doing should be illegal in my opinion, and the amount of money and stress this has caused me and my wife and our daughter is beyond estimation. My family and I have suffered on welfare because of The Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo and their actions taken against me on behalf of debt that I have absolutely nothing to do with.

This started as a billing error at the hospital. I went to see XXXX XXXX XXXXbecause I literally felt like XXXX. My Uncle had recently been hospitalized for XXXX XXXX and I had been to visit him at the same time he contracted the virus. I fell illshortly after and went to my primary care because I was afraid I had it too. XXXX XXXX coded this visit with him as a " routine visit ''. My husband is a XXXX veteran and I have XXXX insurance. XXXX denied the claim becausethey told me the claim was coded wrong. I informed the hospital. Not only did I bring acopy of my explanation of benefits to them in person, but I made over 10 calls to variousoffices trying to get them to code the visit properly. This was anything but a " routine visit ''. Feeling like I have west nile virus is not a " routine '' thing. The hospital and XXXX XXXX 's office sometimes were polite about the matter. They evenclaimed two times they changed it, but they kept submitting the same medical code toXXXX who kept denying the claim because they do not cover " routine visit '' claims. Then I got a nasty call from a collections lady saying this would be going to collections. Afew months later I got a letter from " The Credit Bureau of XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX Counties ''. The letter is dated XXXX/XXXX/2015 and it says I have 45 days to pay in full orthey will report this to the Credit Reporting Agencies. I do not owe this amount. This is a billing error. The hospital has failed repetedly to correcttheir mistakes. They even told me in person it was a mistake and that they would fix it. Thishas been dragging out for almost a year now. I want this to end and for them to bill myinsurance properly. This is no way to treat the wife of an honorably serving XXXX veteran.

I had reviewed my credit report and noticed I have XXXX medical bills on my credit report unpaid. I called my medical insurance company to find out why these XXXX bills have n't been paid. the hospital did n't summit the claims for these bills. i understand the hospital is not responsible for billing your insurance, how ever when they assume the assignment it is there responsibility, to bill the insurance and follow up with the billing process. the hospital had another company handle there billing process where the hospital later had issues with the billing process. this hospital turned this matter over to collection. I tried to excercise my rights with a debt validation requests, and received to print outs from the collectors on the print out the XXXX bills state paid. the collection agent state these bills are n't paid I know they are n't paid by me but why do my bills state paid on them. by the way the collection agent sent me information for another client they are attempting to collect on medical bills by mistake and told me to throw them away.

I had a set of dentures made and they did not fit properly, I returned to the dentist and explained the problem. After several unsucessful attempts to correct the improperly made denture, I was toldthey were unwilling to repair them and the dentist admitted there was a problem but they were unwilling to make any further attempt to correct them and I would have to live with the improperly made denture. I was unable to swallow or eat with them in my mouth. I finally went to a different dentist who told me to NOT wear them because they would cause damage to my mouth because they were not made properly and did not fit in my mouth correctly! I had an unpaid balance and contacted the office and told them I was unwilling to pay anymore for teeth that did not fit. I asked for a full refund of what I had already paid and they refused and sent the bill to collection. I still have the teeth which i am unable to use. I paid almost {$2000.00} for something that was made wrong

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and The Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo have violated my rights under the Health Information Portability Act and released my information without my consent which is now damaging my ability to obtain credit for personal reasons. I requested my itemized bill several times from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX after receiving a bill ( not an invoice for charges ). Reporting this information to the Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo and then mailing it without any privacy security has caused undue harm to me personally. This mail was received first by my next door neighbor, the Credit Bureau of San Luis Obispo and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX did not ensure my privacy at all in this matter.

Credit Bureau of Santa Maria is reporting multiple collection accounts to my credit report, without notifying me with a notice in accordance with 15 United States Code section 1692g ( a ). I have contacted them with a letter to remove these accounts because of their failure to abide by the law and they have refused.
