In XXXX of XXXX I suffered an injury at work that was covered by worker 's comp. Since that date, I have been receiving notices from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , indicating that I owe them {$290.00} for a consultation while I was in the hospital. This should be covered by the worker 's comp company. I have contacted the worker 's comp company and they have assured me that they have been trying to reach the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX without success. Meanwhile, the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has continued to send me letters, despite multiple calls to try and clarify the situation. Now, I have begun to receive letters from Credit Associates , Inc., attempting to collect what the XXXX XXXX reported as a debt. As of this morni ng, Credit Associates left a shredded note taped to my front door at approximately XXXX , in regards to the supposed debt. Not only is this in violation of the California State Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practic es Act for contacting me well before XXXX , but I believe it also constitutes harassment ; not only for coming to my home to post a shredded notice, but also for potentially revealing information to persons other than my attorney and my sp ouse ( i.e. my neighbors and roommate ).

On XX/XX/XXXX I sent 31 requests for validation of collection accounts to Credit Associates Inc. by USPS Certified Mail. I have the mail receipts and the USPS tracking verification that all 31 letters were received by Credit Associates Inc at their mailing address on XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX, Credit Associates Inc has not responded to any of the my written requests for account validation and for proof that they have authority or right to collect the debt for the original creditors, and also that they are legally authorized and licensed to collect debts in the state of Washington. Additionally, of the 31 accounts I requested validation for, they did not update 10 of the accounts to disputed status with the credit bureaus within 30 days as required by law. By not responding to my letters within 30 days of receipt they are guilty of 10 separate violations of FDCPA Section 807 ( 8 ) ( they did not update 10 of the accounts to dispute status within 30 days of receiving the validation letters ), 26 separate violations of FDCPA Section 805 ( c ) ( 5 of the accounts were previously paid by me to try to avoid negative credit ) and 26 separate violations of 809 ( b ) for continuing to try to collect a debt that has not been validated after receiving a validation request.

Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX a sheriff showed up at my place of employment and also at my husband 's place of employment. The sheriff served us papers from Credit Associates for a debt we owe of XXXX to XXXX XXXX. I had made payment arrangements with to credit agency of XXXX. I made XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX 's paymenst. My husband was diagnosed with XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and we had a deductible of XXXX per-person. We have many doctor and hospital bills and it 's been very difficult to keep track of them all. That being said, I missed a few payments. My last contact with XXXX XXXX was XXXX XXXX to which I told them I would try to get a loan but because of poor credit we were unable to get a loan. We were still trying to come up with the money when about 49 days later a sheriff comes to our place of employment serving us papers. This was the most humiliating, scary, and embarrassing thing that has ever happen to me and my husband. Now I 'm in fear of loosing my job over this. I 've tried to settle with this credit agency but they have refused.

The amount reported on my credit report by was paid in full ( {$830.00} ) to the XXXX XXXX XXXX. Below is a screen shot of the credit report and the Money Order sent to their po box Address. This Money Order per US Postal shows that it was received and cashed by them. This my final notice to you and the collection agency. I will file official complaint at the Consumer Financial Bureau against XXXX and the Credit Agency. My right is being violated under the fair credit report by continued failure to update this account despite the evidence. The collection agency -Credit Associates Inc. in XXXX XXXX , Montana has decided to report {$750.00} as amount received however, the reported debt to the credit bureau {$830.00} was paid in full to them. They claim {$87.00} owed despite evidence that {$830.00} was paid to them as full payment owed and as reported to the credit bureaus.

The bill that the XXXX is trying to collect is for services that I did not authorize. The animal shelter in XXXX MT took an injured cat to the XXXX. The XXXX chose to due major XXXX on their own accord and at their own expense on this cat they assumed to be a stray. Well after the XXXX was done it was discovered that it was my cat and they want me to pay this bill and have turned this into Credit Associates for collection. I did not authorize these services, especially XXXX for {$980.00} I was not even aware of the services until after the fact. The collection law firm that represents Credit Associates, XXXX, refused to take the account as it is not a valid collectible debt. However Credit Associates still reports this collection on my credit report. I have disputed this account previously however they refuse to remove the reporting.

In XXXX I had refinanced my car which included a {$440.00} addition to my loan to pay off a collection. The check was sent out and cashed. It was negotiated by my bank for a pay for delete. I have spoken to my bank and the check has been cashed over a month ago. I disputed online with XXXX twice and included a copy of the check. The company has twice verified it as accurate. The company had already cashed the check. The debt has been paid off in its entirety. They collection agency has said it has t been paid when it has. My last dispute that was completed was XX/XX/20 and it was verified by XXXX as not being paid.

My husband had medical debts that went to collections. The collection agency went after me and reported these debts on my credit report only. I objected to them reporting it on my credit. I objected to to the fact that the collection bills come only in my name. We do not live in a community property state. The collection agency insists that the debt is my legal responsibility and that I have no recourse in this matter. This has damaged my credit score making me unable to buy another vehicle at a decent rate.
