In XX/XX/XXXX I went to the hospital and in XXXX debt collections are trying to collect an amount for {$1600.00} they called me from different numbers and told me I owe them for medical bills. I said I do not recall these bills and to send me itemized statements. The first man refused because he said it was too much to send over email so I told him to mail it to me and I gave him my address and email and he said okay but it never came. I got more and more calls and I asked them to send me a letter explaining what it was they wanted and how they came to the conclusion I owed them XXXX. I had called the hospital billing department myself and they did not show me oweing them money. This company still had not showed me why I was being harassed ( they called me from multiple phone numbers, asked me why I can pay other bills but not them, different people called me it was not one collector from the company ) then I was sent a letter serving me saying that I was being sued by the collection agency for a certain amount and when my court date would be I mailed the court its self which is a small claims division court saying that I could not make that court date because I had a doctors XXXX scheduled. The court rescheduled the date but I continue to have back to back doctors appointments so I asked them to shove it off into XXXX at this point I still did not receive any paperwork as to why I owe the money but when the court was scheduled the debt collectors called me and asked me to pay the fine before we went to court so they did not have to deal with legal fees I said I still dont understand why you are suing me and they just kept repeating it was for medical bills I said I need something more specific than that I do not recall this debt they said you did not get our letter? I said what letter and they said we sent you a itemized statement in the mail I said no you did not I did not get it and he said well we sent it to you. I said no thats not correct I did not receive it and he said well I will send you another copy and will market down as you received it I said I did not receive it so do not market down as received send me a copy of the itemized statement and he goes OK I marked it down as received and I said but I did not receive it and hes like well its fine I marked it down as received and I was confused but he ignored me. The new court date was XX/XX/XXXX and I asked for the the time off with my work but was declined so I could not go to the court hearing after the court hearing I did not receive any phone calls any mail anything like that to determine what the verdict was a couple of weeks later I got a phone call from the debt collector company an older gentleman he said that they favored the debt collection and that he would be contacting me to set up a payment arrangement. I told him I did not have any money and could maybe do XXXX $ a month he said XXXX look into it. That was the last time I heard from him or their company. Today XX/XX/XXXX a gentlemen from phone number XXXX called me and said I owed them XXXX and said that we would need to have that paid in full today because he does not want to have to send the sheriff over here. I said I do not have the money and could maybe afford XXXX $ and he said no that would not work and I said thats all Ive got to give i lose my job after this week and will have no income. He said we would need my routing number and account number to my bank and I said no I can give a debit card but Im not giving you my bank information and he said thats the only way we can do it and I again said no I can do card only he said they do not accept cards because it charges them a fee to use one. I said thats all I have he said what about check or cash? Can You mail in something every month? I said I do not have checks and I do not have cash and he said we do not accept cash anyway. I said okay ... so all I have is card and he kept saying no and that he needs my bank account number and routing number and that he didnt want to have to have to seize assets. I said I do not have a job after this week and all I have is my card and he said fine Ill make an acceptation this one time to take a card and you can pay XXXX $ for only 6 months after that we need it in full. He then asked if I still lived at my address and if Im still paying my XXXX $ in rent ( basically saying if I can pay rent I can pay him ) and I said my roommates are covering my rent as I do not have any money and I will not have a place to live after the end of this month. He said Ill put you down as {$50.00} next week but it will only be temporary and then we will need the rest in full. when we hung up I looked at my call log and they have been calling under different phone numbers and the caller ID has them under spam or spam risk. They all start with similar or close area codes. I have talked to six different people since the debt collection phone calls started in or around XXXX. They said they had tried to call previously but did not get a hold of me ( it was probably because theyre calling under spam phone numbers and my phone is marking them for not allowing it to come through ). I have contacted a lawyer already and theyre currently looking into the unnecessary harassment.

I had an outstanding medical debt that was turned over to Credit Collections Bureau. I only received 2 mailed notices ; once these were received I responded to Credit Collections for validation of the debt, I did not receive substantial evidence to support the amount of {$210.00}, looked like a duplicative bill.

I agreed to a portion of the debt ; however every time I called, I received contradictory information from Credit Collection representatives stating there was an error or the amounts continued to change.I advised them I would be more than happy to set a payment arrangement once the account indicated the accurate amounts that were owed. The last notice from Credit Collections was dated XX/XX/XXXX, and was still inaccurate.

I was later served with duplicate XXXX XXXX XXXX small claims judgments. I filed a response to the county requesting a court hearing. At the hearing the attorney for the creditor stated that a duplicate claim was filed against me from an error on the XXXX system and they had dismissed XXXX of the cases filed against me, and also reduced the claim for the judgment but the {$210.00} dollars that I was questioning, stating this was requested to be sent back to clinic by the client.

A judgment was entered in XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I received the notice from the court dated XXXX of XXXX, XXXX for the amount of {$470.00}. I filed a complaint with the South Dakota Consumer Protection, in hopes they would be able to resolve this issue from the amount of the final judgment to the amount that Credit Collections was stating was owed.

The final judgment included the following items : {$170.00}, for a service date of XX/XX/XXXX {$13.00}, for a service date of XX/XX/XXXX {$200.00}, for a service date of XX/XX/XXXX Interest of {$62.00}, the judge reduced the interest ; they were claiming interest from the date of service verses the date the bill was turned over to their office.

On the response received from the South Dakota Attorney Generals office dated XX/XX/XXXX Credit Collections was claiming the XXXX system somehow filed a duplicative claim against me, and once this was recognized this was corrected, I do not feel that this is an accurate and truthful statement, I have an understanding that if I would not have requested the court hearing both judgments would have been entered against me.

In addition they did and are still claiming a different amount is owed then what was presented in the ligation at the court hearing. Credit Collections claims the amount of {$210.00} was turned back to the clinic XX/XX/XXXX, prior to the court hearing and the claimed amount was reduced from the small claims judgment, and later sent back to their office on XX/XX/XXXX

At this time Credit Collections is trying to recover this amount from me stating that this was sent back to their office for collections, after the court hearing and I do not agree that this amount is owed.

I also fail to believe that XXXX filed a duplicative claim since I have proof from statements received from Credit Collections which provided XXXX different account numbers.

I would also question, if other consumers, whom did not dispute the claim had a duplicative judgment filed and entered against them.

I did not try to make a payment arrangement with their office because they still to date have failed to correct the account.

I now have a wage garnishment against me. This firm uses small claims judgment 's and wage garnishments as a means of collections and fails to contact consumers, I think this would fall under a UDDAP violation and this firm needs to be investigated.

In addition, the wage order that was placed against me was in the amount of {$520.00} the final judgment, was {$470.00}, claiming that interest had accrued on this amount, which according to federal regulations, you can not collect interest on a final judgment that was filed and entered against a consumer.

I respectfully ask that the CFPB take the responsibility for the protection of consumers to investigate this company You will find all the supporting documents attached to my complaint.

In addition, I have contacted other consumers on regards to this where not notices were sent for any debt owed and all the sudden, a mall claims lawsuit was filed against them. They will also be filing a compliant.

I reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX to pay a debt that I was told I owe to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was given the number XXXX to make arrangements or my current services would be disrupted. I called this company several times without any reply. I then went to the following website link XXXX XXXX XXXX to set up payment arrangements, leaving all my contact information along with dates I would begin to pay and called XXXX XXXX back to inform them, but still received no callback or mail correspondence from this collection agency. I was finally able to reach a person after calling and stating a was now recording the calls to prove that I was attempting to pay off a debt. Upon calling the next time a live person, not a voicemail answer, and I spoke with my account rep, because my services had been disrupted for none payment of this debt. I called them on XX/XX/XXXX and attempted to pay online, but did not have enough information regarding the debt to pay online. I stated that I could pay {$100.00} a month on or around the 8th of every month without it causing financial strain, The account Rep XXXX to my card information, stating he needed permission for the payment plan, and I asked to be called back because they never return calls. He stated he would process that payment, but needed management approval of the future payments, he then never returned my calls. On XX/XX/XXXX, after already paying my current XXXX bill of {$220.00}, I came back home to find my current home services disconnected for failure to pay the debt to XXXX Collections on XX/XX/XXXX, a date I never agreed to in my arrangement. XXXX XXXX refused to put my services back on, even after being told they made an error and I felt harassed about this debt. I am a XXXX student and only had their services for the internet and home phone for my children, which I stated, but none of my pleading help. I felt then and still feel today that they tried to bullying me and took no ownership of the lack of communication between their debt partners and department of Accounts Management at XXXX XXXX. After being treated so horribly, and having nobody take ownership or apologize, I ended my relationship with XXXX. I proceeded to pay as agreed my {$100.00} on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX, and still to date have not received a return call, receipt, letter of repayment agreement, or anything information regarding this debt I am paying on, although I have asked several times. I would like something in writing regarding this debt, the remaining balance on the account, a working number that is answer or returns calls, and an apology for losing services that I needed to complete my schooling. XXXX refused to put my services back on saying I must pay in full when I did everything they asked me to do and was not in a breach of agreement by any fault of my own. XXXX and XXXX have used unethical and unfair business practices while dealing with me and I am owed an apology an a consumer. They say that all the calls are recorded, so if they review these calls they will find where the misunderstanding took place, and which agent failed to note my account properly, or return my calls. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Please reference previous complaint XXXX. XXXX advised CFPB that itemized bills would be supplied to me, but they were never sent or received. We have been making automatic payments. I advised XXXX that they were not to contact my husband 's phone number XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I contacted XXXX in order to obtain the remaining balance and to find out if a settlement offer was available. I contacted them from my phone number XXXX and provided that same number as the call-back contact number. I did not provide any other number for follow up communication. Therefore, the " do not call '' order for XXXX was not lifted. Unsuccessful attempts to speak with XXXX representative XXXX XXXX happened on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX, and XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX. I received missed call with messages at XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX which I did not return that same day. Received a missed call but no message on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX. Also at XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX XXXX representative contacted phone number XXXX and left a debt collector message. This number does not have permission to be contacted and is still on the " do not call '' list for their company for my debt and this matter. This is the matter for which they have violated CFPB and FDCPA do not call regulations for debt collectors. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX I returned their call from XXXX and left a message to call me back at XXXX. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX me at XXXX, and we were able to speak. I asked what the procedures were to obtain a settlement, to which she advised that I just needed to make an offer and she would discuss it with the creditors and let me know. I advised her that I would need to discuss this with my husband and would follow up with her. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX am, my husband called XXXX XXXX from XXXX from his phone number XXXX and spoke with her. She said that she had already talked to me and then proceeded to request final payment from him. He is not named on this debt. This is the second violation that I am filing as she is discussing and providing debt information to a relative without my written or verbal authorization. During that discussion, my husband did say that he would offer {$1500.00} to settle the debt which is currently {$2300.00}, which total was given to my husband over the phone. She immediately advised him that this would not be an acceptable offer and she countered with {$1800.00}, which my husband refused. I have yet to be given the opportunity to review the full accounting of the debt they are collecting. I fully admit that there might be some funds due for medical bills that I did not pay, or for which insurance was not correctly filed. I have been denied my rights in disputing this debt due to the fact that we have at no time been provided with an opportunity to view all of the charges.

On XX/XX/2021 I received a vague threatening letter from CCB ( Credit Collections Bureau XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, SD XXXX ph # XXXX XXXX XXXX ) saying that I owed them money. There was a vague charge listed on the back of the bill of an amount of a supposed medical bill from a hospital with no date of when these supposed charges occurred. There was also a separate charge of " interest '' with a huge amount, almost as much as the principle, supposedly owed. ( Medical bills do not accrue interest and the hospital doesn't charge interest on medical charges. I called the hospital and asked. ) The hospital didn't know what charges I was referring to, and said they don't charge interest on medical bills. ( I didn't pay any medical bills on credit cards the supposed medical bill charge came right from the hospital. ) I called CCB on XX/XX/2021 and was hung up on multiple times by CCB reps when I asked where and when the charges originated from and where and when the supposed interest charges came from. The CCB rep hanging up on me is CCB admitting guilt of making up charges and trying to scam me. I finally did get two scam reps to speak with me, one quite threateningly, who I spoke to lastly. The first scammer rep of CCB I spoke to described how CCB 's scam works. The CCB rep admitted to me that CCB makes up " charges '' and then " assesses '' fraudulent " interest charges '' to every " account '' and then CCB reps try to collect on it. The CCB rep then tried to collect the fraudulent " charges '' from me, and when I refused he hung up. I called back and talked to a different rep of CCB. The scammer rep of CCB on the phone then threated to sue me if I didn't pay the whole " bill '' by phone right away. He then thre ated me, saying he would add more " interest '' to the " bill '' if I didn't pay the full amount " owed. '' The CCB rep then stated that CCB will ruin my credit if I don't pay. When I refused to pay, the CCB rep hung up on me. Both CCB reps I spoke to said that managers " were busy '' and refused to transfer my call. I called CCB again the next day ( XX/XX/2021 ) and was hung up on. CCB reps hanging up on me is CCB admitting guilt of making up fraudulent charges and trying to collect them. It is an admission of guilt on CCB 's part. I called CCB again the next day ( XX/XX/2021 ) and spoke to a CCB rep who confirmed this is how CCB operates and when I said that CCB is ruining my credit, the CCB rep stated on the phone about CCB, " it is always their fault. '' " It's always their fault. '' This CCB rep openly admitted twice that CCB scams victims all the time and ruins the victim 's credit. When I asked to speak to a manager the CCB rep said he would " place notes on my account '' and then he hung up on me without transferring me to a manager.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I had XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX of Colorado XXXX and was charged an additional {$250.00} by a contracted Surgical Assistant ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) who identified himself as the Doctor 's assistant and not as a member of a separate organization. He had me sign an agreement I would pay {$250.00} and if my insurance declined his service, I would have to pay no more than {$250.00}. As my insurance had already informed I would be covered, I knew this would be returned. I emailed this contractor asking about my refund and received no response. I called the number on the emailed receipt, the number went to a realtor, so I disputed the charge. He contacted me and became defensive, verbally abusive and threatening. Weeks later, I received a collections notice from " Credit Collections Bureau ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) '' for {$1800.00} ( {$1800.00} for service and {$19.00} for interest ). I called Monday XX/XX/XXXX and left a message for my case worker with CCB and still have not received a response. I called Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to a general agent there and requested a " verification of debt ''. He instructed me to fill out a form online in lieu of sending mail, which I did, I also included the agreement which stated I was to pay no more than {$250.00}. I have not received an email or letter with " verification of debt '', per legal guidelines I am to receive this within 5 days. I called on XX/XX/XXXX to request this again and ensure my case was closed as if there was any collectable amount, it would be {$250.00}. They instead told me they had requested the " verification of debt '' from the contractor, meaning they took me to collections without proof I owed any money. They continued to tell me, that despite a less than legal contract ( I signed this moments before going into XXXX when I was certainly not thinking clearly, thereby under duress ), that the agreement stated I owed everything he was requesting not just the {$250.00} the agreement stated. This collections company is not providing a " verification of debt '' as required by law. They are also requesting to collect an amount that is contractually not what I owe.

The options above do not really describe my situation fully so I chose the best option. The CCB does not have the correct address for me on file. They continued to deliver mail related to the matter to a family member 's house and other times had someone serve me papers at my employment. They knew I did not live there but made no attempt to get a correct address, therefore incurring more fees for a process server, and making it difficult to follow what was going on with the case. I would get served, but other times, important letters would go to a different address. I am a single mother and I receive no child support from the other party. I am responsible for all monthly expenses, daycare costs, preschool costs etc.. with XXXX income. I incurred some medical bills that I just could not afford and therefore the collection company was involved. These medical bills were incurred XXXX. I was served with the judgment and when I tried to work something out with CCB they were just downright nasty to me. The first time I called them, the amount to satisfy judgment was XXXX. I asked if there was any negotiation or to work out a settlement as I wanted to take responsibility and pay this in full. The next day when I called them to follow up, the amount to satisfy judgment was now over XXXX. Later that same day it was back down to XXXX but then they were going to add process server fees to the amount. They knew that I had the amount of cash that was stated in the judgment papers in hand to resolve the matter and refused to work with me. They would not lower the interest rate to make the amount more manageable. They have been very rude and difficult to work with and basically have given me less than XXXX hours to get the judgment paid in full and get the papers to my place of employment to stop the judgment before it hits payroll at my job. I am requesting a refund of the interest that was charged in the amount of {$420.00}. These people screamed at me on the phone, hung up on me, when all I was trying to do was find out if they would lower the amount just a little and work with me. And they refused..

I was served papers to appear in court on XX/XX/XXXX regarding a request from a company called credico inc to revive a judgement from XX/XX/XXXX, 14 years ago. I have never at any time been contacted by this company or any other company regard this amount they say is owed. I have received no phone calls, no mail, no other attempt to contact me at all. I tried to contact the company but found little to no information about the company online. I attempted to contact the lawyer from the served papers and left a message but ncall back. In the past 14 year and before that I have heard nothing about this dept or from this company. I could not dispute the debt prior to what they say was a judgement in XXXX because I never was contacted or given any information. I have no idea what this debt is for. I have spent the last 12 years working extremely hard to pay off credit card and medical debt so I check my credit report and credit score weekly on 3 different sites, I open and read every peice of mail, and answer phone calls so I am not only aware of what I owe and to whom but also make arrangements with them to pay the debt in full. Had I gotten information from this company or about this debt I would have requested information to very the debt and made arrangements for payment if the debt was proven to be mine. I never got that chance or opportunity over the last 14 years to do any of the things that are my right under the fair debt collections act to do. My information including my phone number and address and employor were never hard to find with a simple search online or my credit report. Every other debt collector I had debts with had no problems contacting me, which made it easy to verify the debt and make arrangements for repayment. I do have debt I am paying off and had paid off debt because unfortunately I am a type XXXX XXXX and medication and medical help is expensive so I have had debt in the mast but I have made a good faith and legal effort to repay every debt that I owed. Please investigate this matter immediately. I have not been contacted by this company or about this debt at all.

I keep getting calls from XXXX XXXX of Credit Collection Bureau, repeatedly calling up to 3+ in a row daily. I have received a letter in mail from XXXX on XX/XX/19 with a copy of old invoice that clearly states {$0.00} balance owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, CA. The balance was paid several months ago directly to XXXX XXXX XXXX. It should never have been given to any collections agency. Even a monkey could tell that the invoice they mailed reads {$0.00} balance. It is verifiable with a bank statement and directly can be confirmed with XXXX XXXX XXXX. The medical facility was paid in allocated time allowed before any debtor is notified. XXXX XXXX of Credit Collection Bureau is inflicting harassment with malicious intent. I have answered a call without speaking and she starts talking to me as if she knows me personally. Neglecting to state who she is or reason for calling. Then ends the call by saying I will trying again tomorrow, good bye. I am XXXX and feel this is violating not only FDCPA, but also my rights under ADA. Providing no form of accessible communication to inform either company of the issue. Other then a phone number to call or to answer the annoying repeated phone calls. I can not speak clearly or for long on phones without pain because I have XXXX XXXX. The business, Credit Collection Bureau, and XXXX XXXX personally, is strongly in violation of FDCPA and ADA. In consideration of the several months time span between paying directly to XXXX XXXX XXXX the remaining balance on account and receiving letter from XXXX XXXX of Credit Collection Bureau. I am now suspicious that it is a scam to collect money from myself, potentially others that do not actually have a debt owed to any business. In the attempt to fraudulently collect funds already paid.

First and foremost, the gentlemen that I spoke to was kind, courteous and professional. My compliant lies with what may be a poorly created policy or maybe the agents were trained to deliver the policy. When I spoke to the agent, I asked what could be done on mine and my husbands accounts regarding payment. I was provided a three month payment plan for both accounts. I stated I was unable to make those payments, but could pay {$100.00} a month on both accounts and pay off in five months or less. I was advised that the system is only set up for three, six, nine, or twelve month payments so that the balance would pay off in full accurately. I was then asked to complete an application to see if I was eligible for one of these payment options. I agreed. When it was time for payment, I was asked if I had my checking account information, I did not, I had my debt card. I was then told since I was paying with my debit/credit card, I could pay however much I wanted today, but would not be able to set up automatic payments. That automatic payments are only possible with checking accounts. I was able to pay {$100.00} on my husbands account, but due to system processing, I was unable to make a {$100.00} payment on my account at that time. This was deceptive. I was lead to believe that I HAD to complete an application to see what other payment arrangements were available. I was lead to believe that these would be the only options. The truth was, I was able to pay {$100.00} a month, but I would have to call in each time to make the payment because the systems are not set up to process debit/credit cards. I provided information that was not necessary to process payment/s that I had already stated I could make.

The Credit Collections Bureau ( CCB ) sent me an undated notice stating that as of XX/XX/2022 I " owed '' {$320.00} to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, with now XXXX XXXX interest. They advised to dispute the debt by XXXX. I did and requested verification of the debt they believed was owed. In response, on XX/XX/2022, XXXX sent me a statement that " enclosed is the information you requested. '' Enclosed was an unambiguous statement from XXXX that they had failed to bill my insurance on time which otherwise would have fully covered all costs ( the VA, I am a veteran covered by the Mission Act ). The document states no debt is owed by anyone : You owe {$0.00}, Patient owes : {$0.00}, Insurance owes : {$0.00}. '' I am also in possession of the XXXX XXXX XXXX " Service filed after time limit. Veteran responsibility {$0.00}. '' XXXX has never tried to collect on this " debt. '' CCB 's own documentation shows they knew or should have known no debt was owed and were fraudulently trying to collect a non-existent debt by taking advantage of someone they knew ( or had reason to know off the one page document ) was a veteran. Despite " evidence '' on its face showing no debt is owed, CCB has not stopped their attempt to collect this non-existent debt. XXXX has also engaged in fraudulent behavior as they failed by their own error to bill my insurance on time, then closed the account showing no debt owed/liability as they legally had to BUT then inexplicably and fraudulently sold the non-existent debt to a debt collection agency. I learned of this entire matter only when I received the collection agency notice as my first and only notice of anything.

First they tried hitting our bank account too many times but thankfully our bank stopped it from unlimited withdrawals. Then we entered into a payment arrangement with them and they were taking {$200.00} out every month for many months now. But today " XXXX '' called me at work and tried to tell me I 'm 2 months behind ( our last payment was on XXXX XXXX. Today is XXXX XXXX. How is that 2 months behind? ) so I told her to just start up payments again and she insisted that the only way to start it was to put {$400.00} down today or they were going to garnish my wages. Why??? We are n't late!!!! They also have " Miscellaneous '' charges listed for us and have yet to tell us what they 're for. And finally, we have not received monthly bills showing our payments, how they 're being applied and our new balance. So after she hung up on me at work today, I had my husband call her and they managed to bully him into making even higher monthly payments than we were already making! By $ XXXX/month! Why? Our bill is lower from our repeated payments and we were n't late so why did it go up? This is a hardship for our family! My husband is on Social Security ... We have XXXX kids still at home and we are struggling to make ends meet. We were trying to get this debt paid and yet they insist on getting more money out us! Our bank records will show the monthly automatic withdrawals. This is just not right!

XXXX garnished my wages from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX of this year. In XX/XX/XXXX, I asked this company to verify the debt and they sent me a letter on XX/XX/XXXX stating they were unable to do so, and that collection was removed. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a garnishment notice from this company for the same debt. I sent a certified letter XX/XX/XXXX requesting debt verification, on XX/XX/XXXX they sent me a copy of a judgment which is not what I asked for. I requested the name of the original creditor, or company, what it was for, copies of any information or signed documents, ect. They failed to provide me with any information that I requested and violated my rights. XX/XX/XXXX I sent the same letter to their attorney via certified mail, she refused to sign for it. XX/XX/XXXX, I sent another letter certified mail tell the Credit Collections Bureau that since they failed to verify the debt they must cist and desist all garnishment until they are able to do so, they never responded and they did continue to garnish XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. This caused me great hardship. I was unable to pay bills, or rent due to this and was charged many late fees which caused my finance situation to become ever worse.

I received a the first notice from Credit Collections Bureau dated XX/XX/XXXX . Upon receipt of the notification, I called and left a message for a return call. I never received the return call. One week later I had a notice for certified mail. Within the certified mail was a notice of a small claims lawsuit. The deadline to respond to the denial is XXXX XXXX 2017, which I intend to do.

I was not given enough time to respond and dispute the debt ( 15 ) days from the first notice received to the date of the Notice of the small claims lawsuit being served.

The amount of interest that has been charged is {$440.00} and the total amount of debt was {$530.00}. How long has this been in there office without trying to reach me? I believe this could be from an surgical operation back in XX/XX/XXXX , How long is the statute of limitations on these debts within my state?

I am aware of the collection practices of this firm and to my knowledge this is a collections tactic they use. Placing a small claims judgment against a consumer whereby it is entered and then they place a wage order on the consumer.

How is this practice not a violation of UDAPP?

I had a wage garnishment with CCB in XX/XX/2019 ... after learning that XXXX was not going to work with me because he felt I was withholding information about my income I agreed to the amount of XXXX every two weeks to fulfill the amount which was approx. {$2400.00}. The payment was fulfilled based on the order I received and my job stopped the garnishment. Sometime In XXXX, XXXX with CCB called my current employer and stated that he wanted payment for another {$2800.00}. My employer then complied because he faxed an altered document with a written amount. I NEVER received any type of paperwork nor did I agree verbally to this account as the XXXX every two weeks has put a strain on my finances. I have called my payroll department and they are not educated in the South Dakota laws concerning garnishment or wage assignment. It is very concerning that XXXX was able to call my job and STATE this info without any judgement or court order. Also that I have tried several times to call and he sends me to his voicemail and calls maybe 3-4 days later or only after I have talked to my employer and they contact him ...

was making payments on a monthly basis. I included the last 3 months, XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. If you see the dates the checks were written, and deposit data, some months when we wrote a check, the previous check hadn't even cleared our bank account yet. Turns it over to collection in XX/XX/XXXX. I may have made the bare minimum that we could afford, why except payments at all? There is absolutely no reason he turned it into collection. I was, and am violated, humiliated and harassed by his actions. See all the documents enclosed, check issued dates, deposit dates. Example, check # XXXX was issued XX/XX/XXXX and deposited XX/XX/XXXX. This happened numerous times in the year XX/XX/XXXX alone. Again, the humiliation was, and is very stressful, along with the harrassment I am now receiving from the collection agency. I was literally violated and embarrassed. I was making payments on a monthly basis and all of a sudden turns it over to the aggressive collection agency. See documents enclosed

I been dealing with a XXXX XXXX. Every time I have talked to her she was very aggressive and mean. She has threatened to take me to small claims court. I have been trying to make payments online but will not let me. And she kept saying I can pay over the phone if I give her my card information or banking information which I am not comfortable doing that because I dont know who this person is. I got a letter in mail asking to set up a payment plan. Which I already did but they only pulled two payments. Every-time I have talk to her and I asked her if I can talk to a manager and she refused and would not let me. I even asked her to email me for communication which she does have my email. But refused to do that and still tries to call me. I asked if she will stop calling me and email instead because its a lot easier when I am at work. I cant be answering personal calls when I am working.

My complaint doesn't fit the predefined categories. I have medical debt that I owe and there was a judgement sent out they garnished my wages. An amount I couldn't afford. An attorney stated I can go bankrupt or offer a wage assignment. I opted for the wage assignment, {$150.00} out of every check. Last year I paid over {$3300.00} and this year {$750.00}. The debt started at {$6000.00} and they still say I owe {$6000.00}. I asked them to send and itemization of everything they have taken and what they applied it to. The rep said they do not have to and will not do that. I asked for the supervisor and received the same response and that more debts have come in. I said that's fine if you can justify it but I still want copies and they refused to send me anything.

They contacted me anyway and are trying to coerce me into paying debts I do not owe according to the law. In addition, the debts in question are invalid because 1 ) the original providers sent me bills more than two years after I was seen and therefore missed the six-month Good Filing Deadline, and therefore according to regulations these charges MUST be written off ; and 2 ) I was under XXXX and was taken involuntarily to XXXX XXXX Hospital on XX/XX/XXXX, 2013 and therefore the state is responsible for paying the bill, not me ; that is an established fact of law.

Credit Collections Bureau is attempting to sue me on a debt that is my father 's debt. I called the original creditor and they confirmed this. When they went to file suit they did not provide any documentation that the debt was mine. Only the legal assignment to the courts. I am infuriated. XXXX, the account rep, was very rude when I figured out that I may not owe this. She told me that there is nothing that can be done until they hear it from the original creditor. Credit Collections Bureau is not a nice place to do collections. They are very rude when you try to settle or tell them they need to wait while I figure something out. I am looking into an attorney because the way they are treating me is not okay.

A medical bill was sold to a collections agency and they are charging over 45 % interest for one month on their first bill to me. My original bill was from an emergency room visit for my son who was in an ATV collision on XX/XX/XXXX. Payments were made monthly of what I could afford. The debt was sold to Credit Collections Bureau on XX/XX/XXXX. The bill I received from the Credit Collections Bureau stated that I had a balance principal of {$1200.00} and an interest charge of {$570.00} for the one month that they had the debt. My mother, spoke to the collections agency and offered to pay the bill of {$1200.00} and {$19.00} interest at 18 % of the principal for one month. They refused the offer.

I have had a different situation with this company where they tried to sue me for someone else 's debt and we were going to court on this and they dismissed it.
