I received a summons from Courtney and Camp in XX/XX/XXXX regarding an unpaid student loan from XXXX XXXX University. I responded immediately to arrange an affordable payment plan. I explained to the representative that I would only be able to send what I could afford and it was never disputed. I was told that any payment would be better than no payment at all. From XX/XX/XXXX to the current month of XX/XX/XXXX , I ha ve been making XXXX dollar monthly payments by check. Once again, this has never been disputed by this particular representative or anyone working at the firm by phone call, mail, or any other form of communication. They have been accepting my payments and I have the bank statements to prove so. I made a phone call to the firm and spoke to someone by the name XXXX this past Monday about a writ of garnishment I received in the mail. It confused me because I have been making my payments on time monthly. My issue is that there was a paper inside stating for me to appear in court on XX/XX/XXXX , XX/XX/XXXX and the postage on the mail is dated XX/XX/XXXX . XX/XX/XXXX was on a Thursday. How would I have been able to make an appearance in court to plead my case when the papers were sent late by the firm? It did n't arrive in my mailbox until the end of that week. It just makes me feel as if this was done purposely just so my wages could be garnished. When I tried to explain this to XXXX , she was unbelievably rude and dismissive of the situation as if there was nothing else left for me to do except accept the garnishment. She made excuses by stating that I have n't spoken with anyone at the fi rm since XX/XX/XXXX . If the onl y acceptable payment is by check and the payments are being made monthly, then why do I need to speak with anyone? How is it okay for this representative to tell me that XXXX dollar payments are not acceptable, yet they are still being withdrawn from my account? I do n't have anything to hide and my bank statements prove so because I 've been making my payments on time. No one ever stated to me that a certain amount had to be mail in to avoid garnishment. If what she says is true about them getting fired due to the amount in payments I 've been sending in, then someone needs to be fired immediately. This matter was poorly handled by XXXX and I want an explanation. I should not have to risk my wages being garnished and not having a place to stay because this firm failed to send my court papers on time. Not to mention, I have been making my monthly payments on time. I need answers from anyone that is willing to assist me with this problem.

I have been making payments on my student loan through Courtney and Camps XXXX XXXX in XXXX, MS for years. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called to request my account balance and was told that it was {$340.00}. I submitted a check for {$290.00} that was withdrawn from my account on XX/XX/XXXX and I submitted another check for {$55.00} that was withdrawn from my account on XX/XX/XXXX, with a note requesting a letter verifying that my student loan from XXXX has been paid in full. I made another call on XX/XX/XXXX to verify if the last check was received and was told that it was received on XX/XX/XXXX. When I inquired about receiving the verification letter that my loan is fully paid, I was told that they have to wait for the check to clear. I have been checking my mailbox for weeks and have yet to receive anything and I am livid. Both of my checks went through, so I dont understand why it is taking so long to mail a simple letter. I need it for my personal records and to retrieve my transcript to register for school by XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX is almost over and I dont have much longer to continue waiting.
