I purchased a car from either XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX or XXXX financial. I do not know who sold me the vehicle at all, the reason why i say that is because not one of them would tell me directly. I went to XXXX XXXX of XXXX which is located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, IL XXXX. XXXX who is the Manager at this location advised me that he would not be able to finance a vehicle as " pay here buy here '' but he would be able to talk to some one at a finance company he had ties to. He told me he was going to show me a vehicle a XXXX XXXX which would be the only vehicle i would be able to finance through the company XXXX. at this point XXXX requested a down payment of XXXX dollars which I in fact paid with a debit card was given to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, the car seemed fine for the first couple of hours then the check engine light came on. I contacted XXXX and he said that the car was sold to me by the finance company and that he would not be able to fix the car since he wasn't the owner of the car. I called XXXX XXXX and told them of the problem on the car which they replied that they would not be able to change the car for me but they would be able to let me borrow XXXX dollars at 35 % interest to fix a car that i already agreed to pay XXXX dollars for which seems excessive for a XXXX car with XXXX miles on it but I needed a car and with my lack of knowledge of other lending institutions and a very persistent and very charismatic sales person knew I was going to say yes to any car they would show me. after a couple of days of buying the XXXX XXXX I was out of close to XXXX dollars out of my pocket and close to XXXX on parts. the finance company agreed to pay for the mechanical work but I had to pay for any and all parts that NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. To add insult to inury the people who fixed the car stole everything that was in my car tools, cds, stereo, cologne, work boots anything of value was removed from the car and I was never to see them again. the car was with them for about three weeks and it was sitting in my drive way for about 2 weeks before the agreed to pay for the work. after it was fixed i used the car for about 2 months and unfortunately was lcense was suspended do to not being able to pay for some parking tickets and my car was in pounded with no money to get it out I called the finance company to let them know of the situation I was in. and they told me its fine we ( XXXX ) will pay to have it released well they did not tell me when they where going to do so. As days went by I called multiple times to find out if they where going to take the car out and was told repitedly that they did not have a tow truck to get the car out legally. They made it seem like they repo the car and gave it back to me but not after I was being charged XXXX to take the car out and the original price was XXXX I wonder if it was done so i could pay more interest on the balance I owed. well after this it happen XXXX more time and they did the same which added more debt to my initial XXXX dollar investment again I asked them to please take the car since I was way over my head with this loan and the finance company said that they didn't care about the car that they only cared about me making the payments on time. well the car finally gave up due to a timing chain misalignment which was supposed to have been fixed with the original XXXX dollar investment because the engine mounts where bad so they had to be replaced which where not according to my mechanic. I'm paying close to XXXX dollars for a car that was valued at less than XXXX by XXXX all because of a car loan that originally was XXXX with a XXXX dollar monthly payment. If this is not predatory lending I do not know what is, because I did not have a choice on the car I was being qualified to purchase nor was I working a steady job but I was on XXXX and this was the only place I found that would work with my income regardless of ability to pay. I regret it every single day I wish i could have bought a beater that would have probably lasted longer I keep on telling them that I can not pay for something that is broken and I ask them to change the car since they did not want to change it on the first day I had it but they keep on telling me that " if you buy a used tv and it wont work, you wouldn't ask the credit card company for a refund. You would ask the used tv shop to change the tv '' But i tried to change it and neither of the companies listened to me just hours after i bought the car. I know that they lied and deceived me and probably lied on their paper work to lend me the money. I need help to deal with this company and their ways of making money on poor people. XXXX would often call me to make payments but her approach is make a payment or we will sue you and make you pay. now they are telling me that I owe them an extra payment and where trying to make my mother make an extra Payment because supposedly I was in the rears I am not this feels like a loan shark instead of a financial institution

Thank you in advance for your asstiance in this matter. I apologize in advance if I ramble on as this is the first time I have done a complaint like this. My complaint is on Consumer Financial Services XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX FL XXXX I started doing business with Consumer Financial Services in XXXX. I purchased a vehicle and they where the fiance company. I eventually paid that loan in full and took a personal loan. I was having some life issues and was told I could borrow more if I put the title of my vehicle up for collateral. For each loan I took if I was going to be late on a payment I was cohearsed into refinancing the loan for cash anywhere from 50 to 1000. Each of the 25 times I did this I was told it was mandatory that I purchase life and disability unemployment insurance. So to get the loan I accepted it each time as it was a mandatory condition. On XX/XX/XXXX I had to place my XXXX year old son in a XXXX and it caused me great XXXX and XXXX. I was out of work from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX I called consumer finacial o. XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with a XXXX XXXX and she told me she was unaware on how to do the form and would get back to me. I was the emailed a form on XX/XX/XXXX from a XXXX XXXX and it stated on the bottom of the form that all claims need to be submitted to the creditor which leads me to believe as the consumer that the creditor makes the decision of the claim. I asked XXXX if the collections attempts could be on hold until the claim is resolved. I called XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX maybe earlier and was told that XXXX and XXXX where paid and my next payment would be XX/XX/XXXX. During this time frame I was not called. I was contacted around XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX and told my XXXX payment was all that was due. OnXX/XX/XXXX I contacted CFS to see if I could refinance my XXXX payment at I was still recovering from the lack of money thru the disability I was told that I owe for XXXX and XXXX. I asked for a manager and spoke to a man who identified himself as the owner of the company. XXXX stated to me that XXXX was no longer employed at the company and that she was wrong the disability insurance that I was told that I had to purchase only covered one month even though XXXX told me it already covered XXXX and XXXX. XXXX stated that XXXX should not have told me that and he was not honoring it. XXXX also told me the insurance that I was told 25 times that was mandatory is not mandatory. If I knew it was not mandatory I would not have purchased it 25 times. XXXX stated to me that he in fact credited me the XXXX payment so it would not effect my credit as a courtesy. He stated " he credits the payment for long term customers and goes back in the next month and voids the credit ''. I don't know if this is illegal or just unethical. I think there could be a bias there. XXXX stated that he was going to call the insurance company and research this and call me back. I askeed XXXX if he could hold the collection process while we handle this dispute and he told me he would get back with me that day this was XX/XX/XXXXI believe. From then to now I have recived three calls a day and a email in regards to my account. I have emailed asking for XXXX to call me and have been unsuccessful. Today I spoke with a XXXX and she stated that The notes say that XXXX was not covered. I have aske d for XXXX to call me as I recived no correspondence to this matter. XX/XX/XXXX.

ISSUE # 1 I received a car loan from Consumer Financial Services ( CFS ) back in 2009, based on the terms of my contract I was to pay every XXXX of the month for my monthly car payment. later in the term of my loan I had some hardship and lost my job, as I do admit I was behind on my payments I quickly came back and made the loan current again. During and after this time XXXX began to change the due date on my payment from the XXXX to the XXXX of the month, according to the person in charge of my account it was to " help me out and to not obtain any late fees ''. As I told the rep I do not need assistance, I do not agree to these terms & I did not verbally or physically sign off agreeing to these terms with CFS, she would not do anything about it anymore. when I paid off my contract I obtained a ledger summarizing my account, the first thing I noticed was that CFS continued changing my account due date from the XXXX to the XXXX and back to the XXXX whenever they wanted. So when I made payments on the XXXX ( on time ) it was already late and incurred a late fee on the account ( without knowing ). I told the rep why was this happening and all the information I got was " the system changed it from time to time, there is nothing she can do. '' ISSUE # 2 when I got my account ledger after I paid off the vehicle I noticed that there were some mechanic fees included in the beginning of my loan, more than {$400.00}, I requested my account rep to provide me with an invoice or supporting documentation to what was done on the car that I had to pay for ( since I never serviced the vehicle when I got it and never took out a loan to service it either ) the only response I got was " the car dealership i purchased my vehicle from told them to include this amount in the account, with no invoice or nothing to show what was paid for and since the dealership went out of business there 's no way in obtaining any information ... but I do have to pay it or they wont release my title and send the repo & account to collection '' ISSUE # 3 at the end of my loan term I was completely current with all my payment, paying the normal amount every month. One day I received a phone call from the security desk at my JOB, they told me someone is here to see you, when I went down to my surprise it was a repo wanting to take my car. I explained to the guy that I was current on my loan and they sent him in mistake. After contacting my account rep she told me that CFS wanted the entire sum of my payments all at once and will not accept monthly payment anymore. I owed about {$1400.00} left on the car and they wanted it all that day. As there was no negotiation accepted I went to the company to pay the full amount all at once. Once I got there and gave them the cash, CFS told me there is still missing about $ XXXX- {$400.00}. I asked what for and to my surprise they included the repo fees on my account since they had to send the guy to get my car. as I explained that they sent him in accident, that I was not late in my payments, the rep was not willing to work out anything and told me to pay the repo fees or we will continue to send the repo until we obtain your car or the full payment amount. So i had no choice but to pay up the repo fees as well.

I included Consumer Finances ( Auto Loan ) in a Chapter XXXX bankruptcy in XXXX of XXXX. I was successfully discharged from the bankruptcy in XXXX of XXXX with all accounts paid in full. After nearly 3 months of not receiving the title of my vehicle, I contacted my attorney. My attorney confirmed that the account was paid in full and that I should have received my title already. He then advised me to contact Consumer Finances directly. I called Consumer Finances located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, IL XXXX in XXXX of XXXX and was told that the branch manager, XXXX XXXX, was in charge of my case and she was not in. I left a message for her and was told that she would contact me later that day or early the following day. A week passed and I continued trying to reach XXXX for nearly a month. Finally, I was able to speak with her and was asked to provide proof of the discharged bankruptcy via email. I complied immediately, yet XXXX did not confirm receiving the document until nearly two weeks later. After she confirmed receipt of the information, she said that she would reach out to me after reviewing my account. When I did not hear from her after a week, I called again and was told that she never received the document. So, I sent them again and the cycle of stone walling antics began again. I continued to reach out to the office but my calls were either being ignored or someone would pick up the call and we would mysteriously get disconnected. At this point I was frustrated beyond measures, and began communicating my experience with Consumer Finances with my bankruptcy attorney. My attorney continued to advise me to talk with Consumer Finances directly, so I continued the overwhelming process. It was now the end of XXXX in XXXX and I had not gotten anywhere. Feeling defeated I tried one last time, only for XXXX to blatantly disrespect me with her nasty demeanor. She basically yelled at me stating that, She was not sending me the title to the vehicle, because her account reflects that I still owe a balance approximately {$4000.00}. The document that you provided is not a sufficient record that your bankruptcy was discharged and i should not even be communicating with because the account is in bankruptcy! XXXX than abruptly hung up the phone in my face and ignored my calls there after. I contacted my attorney again and insisted that he correspond with Consumer Finances to resolve this issue. Eventually, my attorney complied and reached to the finance company in XXXX of XXXX. My attorney was able to secure my title from Consumer Finances and he mailed me the vehicle title two weeks later. Receiving my title solidifies that my account was paid in full, yet to present date Consumer Finances continues to report to the credit bureau that my account is delinquent and I owe roughly {$4000.00}. I disputed the account directly with the credit bureau and was told that the information has be changed directly through the financial institution that the account is under, because they were reporting the information. I reached out to Consumer Finances a week ago, and was told that XXXX XXXX is in charge of my account and will give me a call. I have yet to hear from XXXX.

Back in XX/XX/XXXX myself XXXX XXXX and my friend XXXX XXXX the cosigner agree to get a loan and split it in half. Payments as well. He went M.I.A and later on I heard he left to XXXX for good. I got stuck with the payments which I had no choice since it's my credit too and I can't really do anything about it. But I struggled to make the first payment/s since I got laid off from work. Had no phone at the moment since I had no money so I could not contact anyone. I had finally thought I got my job back in XX/XX/XXXX. Until the owner talked to me. But first my supervisor talked to me before and said he heard that they didn't want me to work here anymore because the loan place was calling and harassing my employer nonstop. Received to much mail from them too. And they were not stopping after my employer let them know I was working their anymore. Finally talked to the owner of the small company I work for and he didn't want to give me work. He gave me different excuses. But at the end he had no reason to fire me because I'm a good worker and never had a complaint against me and he also didn't admit to my personal loan situation. So on the same day. I called Consumer financial Services located on XXXX XXXX XXXX. A operator answer and gave my info and she ask why I'm calling and I said I'm calling to make a payment arrangement and to talk to someone to see if maybe they can't stop calling my job because they got me fired. She transfer me to the manager. A XXXX who didn't introduce herself, but didn't give me a chance to say anything because she decided to insult me right away by saying I know who you are. You are a dead beat with lots of child support. You are irresponsible and I know you got fired and do you think I care because I don't and I don't feel sorry for you. You stoled money from my family and your boss said he ain't giving you your job back because he don't want to deal with us. If she would of listen like the operator she would of know I was calling to make an arrangement to pay them back since I got my job back. Sometime this week of XX/XX/XXXX they contacted my company again and harass them. And same situation from XX/XX/XXXX I'm having with my boss. I'm now just working 20hrs instead of 40hrs. I know it's because they really don't want to deal with my problem that I'm having with consumer financial services. Please advise.

This complaint regards Consumer Financial Services, the lender of my auto loan XXXX hereinafter " CFS '' ), and XXXX, one of the credit bureaus responsible for maintaining accurate information regarding my auto loan. According to my most updated credit report from XXXX, I owe {$4100.00} as of XXXX XXXX. This information is patently incorrect and I have several different forms of proof to show the falsity of the information currently reflected for my auto loan. I initiated two different disputes with XXXX regarding my auto loan through CFS, one dispute was without supporting documentation and the second was with supporting documentation. Both times, XXXX denied the disputes, citing that CFS certified to them that the information currently reported was correct. XXXX, as the credit reporting agency, refuses to update this portion of my credit report even though I have provided them with unequivocal, verifiable proof of incorrect information being shown for the auto loan account originated by CFS. It should be noted that the correct balance and payment history for my auto loan through CFS is reflected on my TransUnion credit report and no dispute is required for TransUnion. I have not been able to check what Equifax shows for my auto loan account, but I am fairly certain the information is correct. I firmly believe this is an issue with XXXX blatantly refusing to update my credit report with the correct information that I have provided as proof of a valid dispute, and that their misbehavior is adversely impacting my overall credit score and credit file. Basically, it gives the appearance that I haven't paid on my auto loan since XX/XX/XXXX and owe nearly {$1000.00} more than what I actually do currently. As of my payment to CFS on XX/XX/XXXX, the remaining balance on this account in dispute is only {$3300.00}. Furthermore, the payment history report provided to me by the XXXX, Florida office for CFS shows positive payment history at least as far back as XX/XX/XXXX. Based on the foregoing discussions, the inaccurate information shown by XXXX for this auto loan account MUST BE CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY AND WITHOUT FURTHER ARGUMENT OR DEBATE.

I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX van from XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX, Fl. in 2014 as my other car was in disrepair, I am a single senior female and lived far from a town. I also wanted to improve my credit score, so CHOSE to pay half the amount down and finance the rest at 24 % interest, intending to pay payments for six months and then pay it off. I test drove the van a couple times and all seemed to be o.k. Within 2 days after purchase, it developed a severe jerk in shifting from 1st to 2nd gear and the electrical system began having issues. Lights flickering, seats not working, tailgate would not open. I immediately contacted XXXX XXXX and the owner said he would either fix it or trade it for a comparable vehicle. In the meantime, trying to work this out, I made all my payments on time as promised, showing due diligence on my part. He set up an appointment with a mechanic, I went to said appointment and was told they were slammed and could not help me which I found odd. I then took it to XXXX XXXX myself and was told it would need to have the transmission rebuilt. XXXX XXXX refused to pay it. I then requested he exchange it for another vehicle as he said he would do. When I went down there, 100 miles round trip, he showed me only one and then said it would require {$1500.00} more down and the payments would increase. As I live on a limited income I could not do this. I called Consumer Finance who it was financed through and they were less sympathetic than the seller. I shortly after found many complaints from others who had been taken by this auto dealer using this same finance company. A man from consumer finance called me, was VERY rude, threatened me with suing me. I informed him that I was the one who was being ripped off. So, it went on my credit making it worse than before and that was the reason that I did not pay the whole amount which I could have done. I acted in an honest, diligent, responsible manner which I can not say about the seller or finance company. This should come off my credit report with all bureaus as NOONE should be expected to pay for something so severely misrepresented!

On XX/XX/XXXX I open a car loan with Consumer Financial services in the amount of {$8100.00} and it was paid off. On XX/XX/XXXX another car loan was taken out in the amount of {$7200.00} and was paid off. I noticed a collection from the same company for a 3rd account in which I was not aware of. This account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX and has a past due balance of {$5600.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX. I then reached out to the company to dispute this. They tried to claim they were not sure what I was talking about. Shortly after I received threatening phone calls from a man who claimed to be the lawyer representing the finance company. He proceeded to call me more than 15 times a day stating he was at the court house due to the balanced owed and if i wanted to avoided getting jail time I'd need to meet him at the finance company and pay the balanced owed. I than contacted the company and they refuse to acknowledge the situation. It got to the point where they started to call my job and threatening my boss with legal action if I did not pay the balance owed. I eventually had to find a new job due to the constant harassment. I then decided to go to the police station to file a report on the incident. I was to provide all information on my car including registration and the legal contract. After the VIN was put into the system I was informed my car had been reported stolen a few weeks before I purchased it. I went ahead and called CFS to explain the discovery. I was called a liar and was told I personally reported the car stolen when I did not. Shortly after that I started getting the calls again threatening to throw me in jail. After that CFS took my car and said it was out of their hands. This company is UNPROFESSIONAL and ROBBED me of my money and sold me a stolen car. They refuse and deny opening up the 3rd loan account. I disputed this with XXXX XXXX and it was removed.

I first took out a loan with Consumer Financial Services. I unfortunately was going through financial difficulties and was unable to make payments. Consumer Financial Services then sued me, which I understood. Once the garnishments went through, I realized I was unable to afford any day to day expenses and my other bills, so I had went to Consumer Financial Services to work out an arrangement. The owner, XXXX, agreed to refinance my loan including my collection costs and put my payment at XXXX. He advised my employer that we had worked out an agreement and to stop the wage garnishment. My employer was unable to comply, so he then took advantage of the situation. XXXX first told me that he would apply the payment that was due towards my new refinanced loan from the garnishment checks and he would reimburse me of the remainder if I was current on my loan. When it came time to reimburse me, he decided that he still did n't trust me and kept the garnishment and told me he was going to keep me two payments ahead even though the agreement in writing did n't state that. I went into Consumer Financial Services to speak with XXXX directly and advised him that I was unable to afford making twice the payment on a monthly basis and that 's the whole reason I made arrangements with him. XXXX then told me that he did n't care, he does n't trust me, and I do n't deserve the funds back to me. I have a written contract with him refinancing my loan and that did n't matter. He then used foul language and was extremely unprofessional. I then started crying, being so disrespected and frustrated and he told me to stop XXXX crying and I 'm annoying him and if I say another word he would n't give me any of my money back and just put it towards the loan. I have never been so disrespected in my entire life.

I had worked for CFS for the past 3 years. Till my manager decided to quit in XXXX XXXX. That is when the new manager took over the office on XXXX right by XXXX XXXX. Not only was she extremely rude to her customers but to her employees as well including myself. She will pick on numerous employees on a daily basis no reason. Many employees brought it up to the attention of the CEO and the CEO failed to do anything to help us. Majority if the staff ended up quitting due to how unprofessional the new manager was. Once I quit I thought the harassment would stop and it did till XXXX XXXX I received an alert that CFS had ran my credit without authorization. I contacted my account holder and let her know I was going to email the CEO. I then called back to set up a payment arrangement plan and was transferred to the manager and was told quote " Im sorry your XXXX can NOT pay for your bills but I will get my money back '' and then contacted the CEO he apologized for the managers language and stated he was going to look into my account and set up a payment arrangement plan. I was later on that week informed by my account holder that the CEO did not want to work anything with me. I informed my account holder my situation and let her know I could pay XXXX by XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I never received a reply back so I assumed we had made an arrangement. I then on XXXX XXXX found a letter on my car from CFS in writing stating " WE KNOW WHERE YOUR CAR IS AT. WE ARE GLAD TO MAKE ARRAGMENTS WITH YOU PLEASE CONTACT CFS AT ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX '' There was no letter head from the company just a ripped of sheet of paper. This company has been harassing me all month even after trying to set up a payment arrangement plan with them or return my car voluntary.

On XXXX XXXX I was approved for a joint auto loan. My banking account was used for all the payments for the whole duration of the loan. I made all my payments on time and had no major problems until XXXX of XXXX. I was told I had {$460.00} balance remaining on my loan from XXXX of XXXX, Consumer Financial Service of XXXX, IL never contacted me or show this balance on any of my recipients before XXXX of XXXX. This company falsified payments and the amount paid to all three credit bureaus. As of today XXXX XXXX this auto loan is currently open on my XXXX XXXX account with a balance of {$460.00} with the wrong Lender contact information. I have this auto loan paid-In full as of XXXX XXXX. I dispute both XXXX and XXXX Credit Report on XX/XX/XXXX On XXXX XXXX I filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX as well. I spoke with Consumer Financial Service on the following dates ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX via phone which were recorded and save because of previous inaccurate information given to me on several different calls. The Lender Change the date to XX/XX/XXXX with the credit bureaus for my auto loan approval date and didnt report my last car payment for the month of XX/XX/XXXX. Its so much fraudulently activity taking place within the company its ridiculous. The Lender refused to call XXXX credit Bureau to close this account that is currently open..stating they dont report to XXXX credit Bureau. I received conflicting information on which credit bureaus this lender report payment history too. This company has destroyed my credit score and stole money from me as well

On XXXX/XXXX/2015, I went to Consumer Financial Services in an attempt to finance a vehicle. After, finding the vehicle I wanted, paying a down payment of {$500.00} and signing the contract, I waited for car to be brought around with the necessary registration. Soon after, the owner was unable to find the registration and advised his porter to drive me back to the car lot of XXXX XXXX XXXX to pick up some temporary plates. The porter drove the vehicle to the car lot and in route, the car 's engine blew up. I immediately advised that I was not interested in that car or any car from their lot, and would like my money back. The owner than informed me that he could hold my deposit until to 30 days, but would give it to me the next day. The next day came, no money, the day after and no money. Finally I contacted the police and they advised that they could do nothing, as this was civil matter, however, they would see if they could reason with the owner to give me my money back. The owner did not show up that day to speak with police or myself and kept having the ladies in the office to say he was n't there. On the 3rd day, he finally gave me a call to pick up my funds. Fast forward to XXXX XXXX, 2015, I pulled my credit report and found that Consumer Financial has put this car on my credit report even though I never received a vehicle from them and my deposit was returned. I contacted their office and they informed me that the car could not be removed from my credit until they sold it and hung up the phone. I found out that the vehicle that was sold to me had odometer fraud done to it. The miles on the bill of sale did not match the miles on the title. I had a payment arrangement set up with CFS for a loan I cosigned on ( due to my limited budget ) and they have violated that arrangement multiple times and have taken payments without my approval multiple times. They have harrassed me at work regarding payments even though i have stated they can not do so and by doing so they are violating the law and harassing me. I have tried to speak with the manager multiple times and i can never catch him while at work. My business with Consumer Financial services was for a car loan. The car was totaled. I contacted CFS to inform them not to take the next payment because the car was totaled and that my insurance company will be in contact with them. The insurance company contacted them and informed them of the same information I provided. They were also, given a claim #. I purchased a car in XXXX which ended up getting taken by the city of XXXX because of red light tickets my then boyfriend had been getting on my car without my knowledge.
