XXXX XXXX, XXXX I ordered XXXX XXXX service Sometime in between : the modem arrived XXXX XXXX, XXXX installer XXXX arrived to make the phone line connection. It was dark and raining. We scrambled all over the back yard and basement, but he finally got a signal to my office. By then it was late. XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX I worked all morning trying to make the XXXX XXXX work. It was easy to establish an internet connection, but I was not able to get XXXX XXXX to connect with our email which goes through the server XXXX ( XXXX and XXXX ) I spent many hours all day trying to make this work. I called XXXX XXXX help and found it completely useless. The XXXX XXXX tech did not even understand the problem. When I discovered that XXXX XXXX support was worthless, I decided to return their equipment and cancel the service. XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX I called XXXX XXXX and explained that I wanted to cancel service and return their equipment. I was given a confirmation code XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX PM I delivered the modem to the XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, ID. The person working there told me I should retain proof of shipment, because XXXX XXXX is terrible at losing things, and I will probably need proof. XXXX XXXX, XXXX I mailed the Notice of Cancellation to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX received the first bill from Century Link by mail. XXXX XXXX, XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to remind them that I had cancelled the service. The person I spoke with said, OK. You dont owe anything. We will cancel that billing. XXXX XXXX, XXXX Received an email from XXXX asking for payment. I called the numbers on the email, but none of the answered. I replied by email and said that I will put future emails from XXXX XXXX in spam folder. My email to XXXX bounced. XX/XX/XXXX Received a notice of collection placement from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MA XXXX, attempting to collect the Century Link debt of {$61.00}. XX/XX/XXXX I mailed a very complete Dispute Letter to XXXX XXXX in which I explained all of the above, and also provided numerous supporting documents. I mailed this by certified mail with return receipt, and later received notification by email that my communication had been received by XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX called and claimed that they had not received my dispute letter and that I had therefore admitted to owing the debt. I called XXXX, requested a manager, gave them the proof of delivery, and they suddenly became apologetic. They then admitted that I did not owe anything, and promised that this would never happen again. XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice " Collection Alert '' from CONSTAR FINANCIAL SERVICES, LLS, XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, AZ XXXX, which attempts again to collect the debt of {$61.00} which I allegedly owe to XXXX XXXX. This letter gives a " Constar # of XXXX, in case that helps with reference. XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to ask why this debt continues to appear, even though they have promised to cancel, and their previous agency XXXX XXXX had likewise promised to cancel. Both Century Link and XXXX XXXX have acknowledged that I did not owe this money, and promised this would never happen again. This time I spend 2 hours on the phone, and was passed through six different phone numbers and through approximately twice that number of agents. I am sure I spoke to about 12 different people, many of whom said that the debt was cancelled, but others maintained it existed. One person, a XXXX, whose work ID is XXXX told me specifically that she had cancelled this debt of {$61.00}. At that point I said thank you and asked her to send me something - a letter or an email - stating that I did not owe XXXX XXXX anything. She said she was unable to do this, and then tried to refer me to another person ( the " collection team '' ) who might be able to provide this. I was then passed to at least six more persons, none of whom were able to provide a letter, and many of whom still saw that I owed {$61.00}. I think there is something wrong with the accounting system at XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX I called ( XXXX ) XXXX ( Consumer Finance Protection Bureau ) and spoke with a helpful person who told me that I should : 1 ) check my credit to ensure that this alleged debt had not been reported 2 ) file this complaint against CONSTAR. I would prefer to have filed against XXXX XXXX, since in my opinion they are the true bad actor, but I am filing thus. 3 ) do NOT file a dispute letter with CONSTAR, because this resets some time clock and perversely perpetuates the alleged debt. My request is that this stop.

I attended XXXX University in XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. To pay tuition and help with expenses, I took out a XXXX XXXX Signature Loan from XXXX XXXX. I ended up getting a job offer from XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and never attended classes at XXXX University in the Spring semester. XXXX XXXX paid the school and XXXX accepted the money against my wishes. I went into repayment and paid my loans until I was laid off in XX/XX/XXXX. At that point I began to use economic forbearances until I was no longer allowed to do so, at which point I was unable to pay. I received harassing calls from Cell Phone numbers requesting payment which I was unwilling to give to a cell phone and unable to give due to economic circumstances. In XX/XX/XXXX my situation improved and I received a good paying job. I tried to get in touch with XXXX XXXX but was completely unable to do so. In XX/XX/XXXX I returned to school on a part time basis. I remembered that this should qualify me for an in-school forbearance, and so I signed into my XXXX XXXX account. Fortunately my loans were not defaulted! I could not request forbearance through their system any longer, but I could contact them. I sent them a message through their system informing them that I had returned to school and was seeking in-school forbearance. I also contacted their provided phone number and was sent to an answering machine. I left a message. I never heard back through either e-mail or phone. In XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed that my student loan debt was now XXXX XXXX. I assumed that XXXX XXXX knew that I was back in school and had automatically deferred my payments because I never heard anything else from them. In XX/XX/XXXX I was informed that my loans had defaulted. I was offered a very nice settlement offer, but unfortunately I was unable to take it at the time. In XX/XX/XXXX I was sent another message letting me know that my debt belonged to a company called " Constar '' and they expect full repayment. They gave me the options to dispute the debt in writing, which I did. This debt should not be defaulted as I am and have been in school on a XXXX XXXX basis for the past 4 years. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a response of a single promissory note from XX/XX/XXXX with a note that " We are confident that all your questions should be answered by the enclosed documentation ''. I also received letters letting me know that these loans would be sent to law firm. The letter says that if I have until XX/XX/XXXX to respond, but when I tried to call the number provided I was once again sent to an answering machine. I left a message but have not heard back. Now I 'm writing to you.

Due to covid I am experiencing extreme difficulties with this debt I was in an accident on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX where I was struck by a car on the driver side of my Vehicle. My car was deemed a total loss, my insurance was actively pursuing the car that hit me insurance until ally finical closed my account and has written the account off as profit loss. I have sent XXXX finical emails and letters to only get no response by the letters, no response by emails and to only to only get re directed to a 3rd party company by phone who now has my account for any answer in regards of my credit being affected and to pay off the account amount. Since XXXX has written the account off as a profit loss they will not respond to be me and will not teat me like a customer I was before. I have paid my car note on time regardless of the car being totaled loss every month until my account was closed as profit loss by XXXX When I contacted the 3rd party company Constar finical, they insisted that they could not speak to me in regards of my credit and that I needed to pay them the remining balance. They offered me a settlement and told me that I needed to pay the settlement in order settle my account with ally. I have been trying to contact XXXX directly and keep getting re directed by them back to this 3rd party company that is demanding me to pay almost XXXX in a settlement. I have recently paid Constar finical on XX/XX/2022 amount {$500.00} and on XX/XX/XXXX, to Constar amount {$1000.00}. They have yet to send me any kind of receipt or email stating what I paid for nor the amount reflecting the changes. The only way I can see the payment is on ally finical account. I can not see the taxes or fees nor the contract of the settlement Constar finical has written or charge me. I then told them that I will need to set up different or smaller payment arrangements due to covid. Constar then told me my settlement would be voided and that the agreement would be off. Yet they continue to call but I am not allowed to speak with someone from ally in regards of my account being charged off and deemed a profit loss.

For a little over 6 months now, I have been receiving calls from Constar financial in order to collect a debt for a leased car that I turned in over 3 years ago. They say that I owed money for wear and tear on the car. I initially was in contact with XXXX at Constar Financial, and was very happy to pay the debt. After giving all my information to her, I received a call several weeks later saying that they were unable to process my request. I checked by bank and noticed that it never went through. So again I gave her the information and waited a couple days and they still did n't take the money out. After that I contacted them and they said that my credit union could not find my account even though I pay literally every bill with the same information with no problems. Although I was annoyed because XXXX and her director both were extremely pushy and rude, insinuating that I did n't have the money to pay them, when from the beginning I 've been giving all of information to collect this debt. But okay I gave them information to an alternate bank account at a whole different institution. Weeks went by and they still did not take the money out. I called both of my banks and they said there is no record of Constar financial ever trying to collect the debt from my account. So this caused a red flag for me. And then early today I received a call at my desk, after the last time I spoke with them, I specifically told them never contact me again regarding this because I will not be abused like this anymore. The man who called was even ruder then XXXX and stated that I needed to now send them a money gram to pay for this. He then proceeded to say ' you obviously do n't have the money to pay your debt ' He knows nothing and I have given my bank information many many times.They are harassing me and my mother at this point because they cant get it together. It seems as though this was their plan from the beginning, a kind of sham to get people to send money directly to them. Insanely rude and abusive company

Back in XX/XX/2019, I got a call from This business with a man name XXXX on the phone. Calling about debt with XXXX for a car I co-signed with my son. He went on to explain to me since I have a current car with XXXX, they have offered a deal. A deal of XXXX instead of the full almost XXXX I explain to him I did not have that amount on me. He asked if I could pay 10 % then they would lease XXXX I would only have a balance of XXXX. I did not have the money then. I told him that the day wasn't a good day for me. My father had a XXXX XXXX and XXXX. He went on to tell me how I did not want to look as if I was refusing to pay and then it would hurt my credit. He goes on to offer a monthly payment plan he lowered it to XXXX and once the XXXX another XXXX would be reduced since I'm paying my current XXXX account on time. I said ok it would hurt me but once I made the XXXX I'm good and I can then chip away at the XXXX. I requested proof to be mailed to me. Made XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX payment. Today XX/XX/19 something isn't feeling right to me about the payment plan, other than I have no money after making the payment. I called today and spoke with XXXX ( XXXX is no longer with the company ) she tells me she doesn't see the offer. she does see where the company offered the XXXX but nothing about the XXXX in payments it would reduce it more. That I did not have a set time to pay this amount. XXXX also wanted me to pay with a portion of my tax return. ( I don't even get refunds ). Everything he told me was a lie ; I was thinking about making these payments I could have less debt reporting on my credit report and pay that large amount down. so I stopped paying other debts to take care of these. This is why I don't answer unknown numbers. I feel like he took advantage of me during a time my father was sick and I was there, and me not trying to be rude.

Due to Covid19 and loss of business income, I had a vehicle I voluntarily surrendered to XXXX XXXX, that vehicle was sold on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX stating what my deficiency balance was. On XX/XX/XXXX, I tried to call XXXX XXXX and was routed through their automated system to Constar Financial as it indicated my account had been turned over to them for collection. I tried for several days to reach Constar and finally on XX/XX/XXXX, was able to reach Mr. XXXX XXXX with Constar. Upon my conversation with him, a settlement agreement was made in the amount of {$4200.00}. I gave him account information for which to take that payment out of. I was told that once that cleared my bank account, I should call back in and they could then issue me a receipt and also would notify XXXX XXXX At that time that my payment was made in full and had cleared. Since XX/XX/XXXX, when I was notified by my bank that the payment to Constar Financial had processed and cleared, I can't get anyone to answer the phone. I have called daily if not multiple times a day since XX/XX/XXXX and left at least one if not more messages a day requesting a receipt for this payment beyond what my bank statement has already showed. There has been no answer on their end nor any attempt to call me back. I would like to get this settled and have formal receipts from Constar so that I can show this paid and also so that XXXX XXXX will show this has been paid. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX fraudulently reported and sold a debt of a closed and fully paid off account resulting in undue stress and hardship. Lease was paid in full XX/XX/2020. XXXX showed unprofessional and unethical behavior by trying to charge me for fraudulent and untrue claims of poor vehicle condition upon lease return. They requested payment for " internal melted headlights '' and micro scratches. Of note XXXX held and paid a service contract on this vehicle because it was a XXXX vehicle and had strict service requirements. Despite being serviced by XXXX several times the headlights were never found to be a problem and were in perfect working order. Also of note the vehicle was returned in excellent mechanical and cosmetic order. I contested any and all claims for poor condition. XXXX did wave the requested fee for the headlights and stated theose were due to design flaw on the vehicle but refused to waive the fee for the " micro scratches ''. Of note lease law and contracts does allow expected wear and tear on a leased vehicle, it does not allow abuse to the vehicle or damage as the result of abuse. How a car can be driven for years and not have a micro scratch is not possible and also hints to likely very large and ongoing consumer scam by XXXX to defraud the consumer out of funds at the end of a lease. XXXX illegally and fraudulently reported and sold a paid off debt to Constar Financial Services , llc. resulting in undue stress and hardship on me. I am sure XXXX has done this to others and it needs to stop.

On or about two weeks ago, this company begin to call me repeatedly about a debt/collection via XXXX XXXX Account. I advise the gentleman that this account was already disputed many months ago with XXXX XXXX as the result of Identity theft. The accounts were removed from my reports and then I started receiving these notices. I explained to someone named XXXX or XXXX ( spelling ) that I had copies of Police reports and my ID Theft Affidavit. He became rude and kept saying I owed the debt and I needed to pay up or else. I hung up on him and never heard anything back from this company until i received this notice in the mail from Constar Financial Services and again it's regarding the same matter. This company is not taking measures to protect me and has been constantly calling me regarding this up till I received the notice in the mail of an attempt to collect a debt and this could possibly go on my credit. Please be advised that I am again attaching docs to prove what i further stated before. This was the result of identity theft I clearly am requesting this company to stop harrassing me regarding this alleged debt and furthermore I am not authorizing them to insert any actions on my creidt reports as this is clearly not my account. I have current ID Theft reports in place on my credit reports, but CONSTAR STILL REQUESTED my credit report from XXXX and XXXX, although I did not give authorization to do so.

I received a notice in the mail dated XX/XX/2018 from Constar Financial Services regarding my Student loan with XXXX stating that I owe them {$10000.00}. At the time I was currently faced with financial hardship and was to the best of my knowledge already in the process of trying to resolve this matter with my lender. I asked not to receive collection calls. I received an additional notice from Constar dated XX/XX/2018 stating that I owe {$11000.00} which proceeded to offer a reduced interest rate program that would take my interest from 9 % on the XXXX loan originally with XXXX XXXX for 7.25 % down to 0 % and that my new monthly payment would be {$55.00}. The notice also states that my credit status would change to " Paying as Agreed '' This was to occur after 3 consecutive payments which were setup automatically. I setup the payment on XX/XX/2018 which was posted to my bank account, and later verified that it posted to my XXXX loan. On XX/XX/2018 I received a call from a different collection agency XXXX XXXX XXXX on behalf of XXXX. After contacting Constar and XXXX I was able to verify that Constar sent my loan back to XXXX and neither will honor the agreement. I was asked to setup a similar arrangement with the new collections for 4 consecutive payments of {$57.00} which was deducted from my bank account on XX/XX/2018.

I had been tricked with a car from XXXX, I was taken advantage of. We had the car repossessed so the car was sold at an auction. The problem was that I was owed some money after the auction by XXXX around {$1600.00}. I made payment arrangements to pay that. I was agreed with {$600.00} off the remaining amount owed to XXXX because of tax exception. So I did the payments to XXXX every month until it was resolved. When I log onto the portal I see that the account was paid in full from XXXX account portal so my not understanding is why there is a debt collection called the Constar Financial Service, LLC sent me a letter saying that I owe them {$420.00} when this account was already paid. I was agreed upon not paying the tax from XXXX. This is full on XXXX I am not contacting them because they will record and cheat to make it look like I owe the debt when its already resolved. I am not writing to them because they would do the same. This has happened to me before, I dont trust these collection people cheating tactics by making me verify myself. I dont own the car so why should I keep being making payments. I just had my job loss from a laid off and Im waiting to be working again. This is XXXX it is unfair and its terrible practice.

This company is illegally attempting to collect a debt for a new vehicle that was a lemon. Dealer lied about after market parts stating front foot rest could be moved to mids to sell bike in middle of winter while I was dealing with XXXX after telling dealer I just attended my cousin funeral they used deception and fraud to con me. The bike never started before purchase and dealer promised to put in new battery, they didnt. Bike was delivered and still does not start. Bike has had oil light of since day one and it was a brand new motorcycle. Dealer knew Im a new rider knowing nothing about motorcycles they delivered bike with oil missing to damage motor an attempt to get more money from me. Dealership is XXXX and has cars with confederate flags out front and they discriminated against me during this purchase. Dealer unlawfully added price of helmet, XXXX, jacket and put funds on get gift but charged price into loan to make price of bike higher then suggested msrp. This is a lemon vehicle under Missouri law and dealer has cheated me out of thousands of dollars and ruined my credit report! They stated they wanted {$9700.00} first to settle then collections changed amount to {$11000.00}, constar should be called con artist.

Hello, On XXXX XXXX at XXXX, I was contacted by Constar collection agency regarding a auto loan debt of {$9800.00}. I asked him why he was calling me here at my job and he stated that this was the number he had and in a rude tone he said " you owe my client {$9800.00} ''. I told him the original company has my cell he said well this was the only way I was able to contact you. I then let him know that he may contact XXXX XXXX XXXX as my account is with them, he said he has not heard anything from them and that I should contact them as they work for me because I am paying them. The agent then asked for my cell number and XXXX XXXX XXXX number. I provided him with both numbers. This agent was very rude to me during the entire conversation, and not only was he rude but he was deceitful in contacting my employer by not stating who he was or where he was calling from. When he called the person who answered she asked him what type of call this was and he said personal. Please note I do not want this person to contact me but he is to go through the debt relief consumer. Thank you for your time in this matter.

XX/XX/2017~Constar Financial , XXXX AZ called me on a local [ XXXX ] XXXX - first on my office number, which is XXXX and was very rude when I requested to remove the number from their call list. I gave the person [ XXXX XXXX ] my cell number and he called me, again from XXXX number, when he was in Arizona. I requested his company name, location,, and true telephone contact number, which is XXXX. He indicated that his client, XXXX, was trying to collect on loans from XXXX ( XXXX and XXXX specifically ), but would not provide me actual loan numbers, instead gave me a sequence of XXXX which is part of my Social Security number. The loans in reference are old and should no longer be on my account and I called XXXX, who said they had no idea who Constar Financial was. The loans amount to XXXX, but again, these are old loans that fall under the statute of limitations which I am no longer responsible for - regardless, this person was very rude and threatening and when I said that the loans were private and uncollectable, he stated very rudely that " these loans never go away '' which is an absolute lie.

I received a call today XX/XX/2018, the call was transferred from a colleague who said the caller said it was a recorded line and did NOT mention the name of their company. They did not call my cell phone at all because I pick those calls up. When i got on the phone he said it was a personal business matter, making me first think it was business, I work for a business and thought it was related to them, then he said my address and would I verify who I am, at this point I refused to and told them to NEVER EVER call my place of work again. At this point I went out side to call the company back and have tried to re reach him 3 more times and now he won't take my calls. All I know is the company name but no clue who they are OR why they would call me at my place of work. I was told from a few other employees that I've had a few calls like that but they thought it was about this business so they have hung up. My cell phone was on a do not call registry list. All I know is the company name. Constar financial .. aka " con '' sounds like a great company name. by the way.

I got into a car accident and the vehicle was totalled and the insurance company deemed a total loss and notified me that there is a lien still on the title and that constar financial services a debt collector who I have no knowledge off is saying that there is a XXXX dollar lien on the vehicle and there is in fact no lien on the vehicle. I don't know who these people are and will be disputing this debt for false and misleading representation. I have no idea who this company is never heard of them a day in my life but claiming they have a lien on my vehicle that I have sole interest in violation of multiple sections of USC 15 1692 and the fair credit practices act of 1977. I do not recognize this debt and would like them to cease and desist all forms of trying to collect this debt and make that be known over all platforms and credit reporting agencies they are in direct violation and can be sued for monetary damages. For fraudulently trying to collect a debt that was never there's or did I ever agree to or sign a contract with this company

We had leased a XXXX XXXX and we returned it on XXXX XXXX, XXXX to the dealer as lease had ended. XXXX Said that they would investigate further and then 13 days later on XXXX XXXX, XXXX we received a letter from Constar Financial Services, a collection company, they said that we must show a return receipt from XXXX dealer for the car, which we did. we also sent a receipt from XXXX County indicating that they will credit the amount of {$210.00} to XXXX for the XXXX car taxes.
