XXXX reported Community Reinvestment Fund ( Company ) transaction on my report as late payments which decreased my score. According to consumer law no transactions should be reported.
15 U.S. Code 1681a - Definitions ; rules of construction ( a ) Definitions and rules of construction set forth in this section are applicable for the purposes of this subchapter.
( b ) The term person means any individual, partnership, corporation, trust, estate, cooperative, association, government or governmental subdivision or agency, or other entity.
( c ) The term consumer means an individual.
( d ) Consumer Report.
( 1 ) In general.The term consumer report means any written, oral, or other communication of any information by a consumer reporting agency bearing on a consumers credit worthiness, credit standing, credit capacity, character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living which is used or expected to be used or collected in whole or in part for the purpose of serving as a factor in establishing the consumers eligibility for ( A ) credit or insurance to be used primarily for personal, family, or household purposes ; ( B ) employment purposes ; or ( C ) any other purpose authorized under section 1681b of this title.
( 2 ) Exclusions.Except as provided in paragraph ( 3 ), the term consumer report does not include ( A ) subject to section 1681s3 of this title, any ( i ) report containing information solely as to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the person making the report ; ( ii ) communication of that information among persons related by common ownership or affiliated by corporate control ; or ( iii ) communication of other information among persons related by common ownership or affiliated by corporate control, if it is clearly and conspicuously disclosed to the consumer that the information may be communicated among such persons and the consumer is given the opportunity, before the time that the information is initially communicated, to direct that such information not be communicated among such persons ; ( B ) any authorization or approval of a specific extension of credit directly or indirectly by the issuer of a credit card or similar device ; ( C ) any report in which a person who has been requested by a third party to make a specific extension of credit directly or indirectly to a consumer conveys his or her decision with respect to such request, if the third party advises the consumer of the name and address of the person to whom the request was made, and such person makes the disclosures to the consumer required under section 1681m of this title ; or ( D ) a communication described in subsection ( o ) or ( x ). Thank you so much. I am having trouble closing on my refinance with XXXX Mortgage. I have owned my home for almost 4 years now with XXXX Bank at the time XXXX was promoting a company that would help me with closing cost. Community reinvestment fund , inc. I have a lean on my property with them but this dept was not recorded on my credit report. I have called many times over the last Month and Emailed them with no response. XXXX Mortgage has also tried many time to contact them for a 30 day pay off. I really need your help to resolve this as I can not close with out it.
Community reinvestment is aware I am trying to pay this off, I always sent my payment through the mail but I didn't get a bill on the mail and they wont take your payment over the phone. I am concerned that it will go against my credit I try very hard to keep good credit. Thank you so much for your help

Someone must have received an SBA loan when I was incarcerated. I was in prison from XXXX. This loan was received and applied for during that time. I sent SBA a copy of my identity theft claim and my proof of incarceration. They are still saying that I owe for this loan. Someone apparently had been receiving SSI benefits as well as filed income tax for federal but not state with a job I've never had. It has been corrected with the IRS and it's still in process with social security, but SBA is just sending me bills although I've sent them this information more than once, and I have called them. I do not owe them anything. I was incarcerated without a break or pause throughout those years. I can not pay this bill and I've only recently been released from prison.

This company is reporting on my credit report and send me harassing mailers for 2 months now. I have checked with my current and initial services on many occasions and they have advised that they did not sell my loan. Meanwhile this company continues to try to collect. I make my payments to XXXX. I feel there is some kind of fraud at play. This company and XXXX are reporting the same loan on my credit report and this company balance is incorrect.
