I arranged a monthly payment plan with my local hospital, Maine XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Hospital for unpaid balances. The hospital officer, Mr. XXXX XXXX agreed to this and had his assistant XXXX XXXX approved putting additional amounts on the balance being paid down. After 2-3 years or more of accepting these payments the hospital, MrXXXX XXXX, unilaterally demanded I renegotiate the payment plan. I refused. In response the hospital hired or sold my debt to a collection agency in XXXX named Marcam. Marcam harrassed me and my husband for the next couple of years by continuously sending erroneous bills. These bills were wrong because we were making those agreed upon payments. In fact we continue to make those agreed upon payments.
Since the harrassing letters continued from Marcam, sometimes 6 or more a month, I sent them a registered cease and desist letter which they received, and signed for, on XX/XX/2020. Unfortunately the harrassing l etters from Marcam have continued to come. I have received 3 now since they signed for the cease and desist letter. I have no relationship with Marcam no r do I not want one. Meanwhile I continue to make the agreed upon payments to this local hospital, Maine XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Hospital in XXXX, Maine.

Starting Tuesday, XX/XX/2019 throughout the two hours prior of this XXXX-XXXX & XXXX man contacting the CFPB ; I have received an average of 2- 3 telephone calls per day, attempting to collect money from me. The agency never identified themselves ; it was only until today, that they did identify themselves as a debt collection agency. In addition, they have never sent me a single article of mail and/or bill by-way-of the United States Postal Services ( USPS ). The only way I was actually able to fully identify the exact name of their debt collection agency myself was by running a reverse search on their ( various ) telephone numbers on XXXX. I have taken no actions because A ) I do not know which establishment they were hired by, B ) I do not know how much money I ( allegedly ) owe, and C ) They constantly refuse to specifically identify themselves when they call me. Also, Since they have never sent me any mail, absolutely none whatsoever ; I have never received what is known as a 'Debt Validation Letter ' ... informing me of my legal right ( s ) to dispute. In closing, I would also like to note that they have also called my elderly mother ... my rather ill, elderly mother, for that matter.

To : Whom it May Concern, I had a bill from XXXX of a total of {$610.00}. I have the receipt of payment that shows I have paid the full amount. The amount of {$610.00} is currently open on my XXXX Credit Report. The status should be shown as closed. I have reached out to the Collections Agency , as well as, XXXX . They insisted they will close it the day I call, and it still remains open. I have no other choice, but to contact you. I am applying for a house loan, and it is imperative this amount on my XXXX shows a status of closed. I would like the assistance from your agency to handle this matter. On XX/XX/2019, I received a notice in the mail stating that I owed {$340.00} to our doctor 's office. My husband also received a notice and that will be addressed in a separate complaint here. My husband and I have the same doctor. We always are told if we owe money for the day 's visit, but we also have an arrangement of {$25.00} per visit per person. My wife and I have the same doctor. We always are told if we owe money for the day 's visit, but we also have an arrangement of {$25.00} per visit per person.

XXXX XXXX has repeatedly called my phone, looking for one of their debtors. I have repeatedly asked them to stop, to put me on their " do not call '' list, and to cease discussing someone's else 's medical debt. Instead, they continue to ask invasive questions ( asking if I know their debtor, what my name is, if I use the same offices, what my birthdate and social security number is, etc ) until I hang up. I blocked their number with my cell service and independently on my phone, and yet they still call endlessly and leave voicemails.

I am XXXX, live alone, own my home and have zero debt. Marcam Asc has been harassing my daily for over a year. When I tell them my name, that I live alone and that I have no debt, they ask for my address. I refuse to give it to them and demand they stop calling me. They hang up on me immediately and proceed to call the next day. I am so close to calling an attorney to sue this company for the amount of stress they have caused and the groundless reason for this daily harassment that has so terribly affected my peace.

Marcam associates called me almost XXXX time a day. After blocking XXXX number they call from a new one. I attached a screenshot showing multiple calls this past week and this is just number XXXX havent blocked yet. I get automated voicemails from XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, this is beyond excessive at this point for what Im pretty sure are medical bills some from beyond XXXX years ago.
Im also getting frequent letters from them on top of the calls. For instance I just got XXXX letters in the mail today.

I receive multiple phone calls every day from Marcam Associates attempting to collect on medical debt. This has occurred for months and, as already stated, happens daily. They call from multiple phone numbers, more than once a day, so its impossible to know who it is if I want to answer the call, and also impossible to block the number. I consider this to be harassment.

This person XXXX calls 3-6 times a day using different NH and Maine phone numbers as well as 800 exchange numbers. The company is Marcam Associates and this is HARASSMENT!!! STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!
