We owned a house : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Oregon. In XX/XX/XXXX my wife signed a landlord agreement stating that the electric services from XXXX County would return to our name at tenant move out.
In XX/XX/XXXX I had a XXXX XXXX which bankrupted us, we file for bankruptcy XX/XX/XXXX and was finalized XX/XX/XXXX- The house in question was surrendered to the XXXX XXXX XXXX on that date by court order. Evidently the bank had a tenant there and upon their moveout the electricity went into my wifes ( XXXX ) name- XXXX XXXX XXXX did not change the utilities evidently- So the bill kept growing to {$150.00}. before shut off in XX/XX/XXXX a full 1.5 year after we did not own the home. We recd no notification this service was in our name nor delinquent. In fact we called everyone involved with our ownership and cancelled our service XX/XX/XXXX.
Then we find deleterious credit information was posted on my wife 's credit report by Columbia Credit XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX, Or for over {$270.00}! I called them and explained we did not own the house in XX/XX/XXXX nor the landlords by definition, as you have to own the property before you can be a landlord. In addition XXXX court and sheriff department knew our address as the house was handled through them so very little effort was made to inform us on any issue.
the facts we did not own the home after XX/XX/XXXX, we were never contacted, before posting deleterious and untrue responsibility to my wife 's report- we did contact XXXX county by phone informing them we lost the house- All they had to do was contact their own county office for our information or google my name it pops up first page with our XXXX XXXX, OR address

The Collection agency in question is based in my office building, Columbia Credits Inc. My dog had a run in with another dog in the parking there lot and although it was abundantly clear no damage was done, they took the dog to the vet are now attempting to charge me for the consultation and some XXXX medicine the dog received. They think because they are a collection service they can serve me with a bill and are threatening that they 'll take me to court over it. Please help, I signed no agreement to pay any money, I owe nothing, they are just clearly quite ok with blatantly breaking the law.
