On XX/XX/XXXX both of my sons applied for private student loans with your company. The three of us sat down together and each applied independently on their computers and submitted their applications within minutes of each other. Eventually they were approved with me as their co-signer. One received his approval first and was offered a variable interest rate of 8.12 %. The other received his approval next and was offered a variable interest rate of 5.12 %. XXX is older, better credit score, longer credit history and better income. XXX is two years younger, lower credit score, shorter credit history and lower income. They both have great credit scores. This made no sense to me, not to mention a THREE point difference. I thought there must be a mistake so the next day on XX/XX/XXXX I contacted College Ave by phone. I explained what occurred and wanting to find out why XXX rate was so much higher. After getting nowhere and being told a few times that there was no one I could speak to regarding how the rates were determined I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was transferred to a supervisor named XXXX. I again explained the situation to her looking for some answers and was told that determining rates was all back room decisions and there wasnt any information, explanation, or anyone else I could talk to. I continued pressing for some type of answer and she finally said she would submit it for review and it could take up to 48 hours to receive an answer. I was satisfied with this and waited for a call back. It was now Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, and I had not heard back from anyone at College Ave. I called XXXX again and she said that they did not have an answer yet. I told her I needed some answers as their university was questioning how to apply their loans for next semester. I told her I felt that getting an answer to a very simple question was taking way too long. I said that if I didnt hear back from anyone in 24 hours I would be filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ). She said she would expedite the review. XXXX called back within 30 minutes. She stated that she talked to someone and they would adjust XXX interest rate to match that of XXX ( 5.12 % ). She stated that XXX would be receiving an email to where he would need to agree to the new terms and esign. She said it could take 24-48 hours to receive but to watch for it. I also mentioned that as their co-signer I had not received any disclosures or information on the loans I was agreeing to co-sign on. She said that she would request a copy to be emailed to me and that too could take 24-48 hours. She said if we didnt receive the emails to let her know. I questioned her again on why the rates were so different, especially with XXX being higher, and all she could tell me was its our internal model on how rates are determined. She even stated she agreed it was very strange and questioned it herself. XXXX gave me her direct number of XXX-XXX-XXXX to call her back. By Thursday afternoon, XX/XX/XXXX, XXX nor I had received an email yet. I called XXXX direct number and it rang continuously for a minute and a half never going into voice mail. I then called your XXXX number and spoke to XXXX. XXXX said that XXXX did not have a voice mail to leave a message. She said that XXXX was in a meeting. She took my information and would pass it on to XXXX to call me back. Its now Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX, no phone call or emails from College Ave. No transparency, no co-signer disclosures, loan terms or agreements. I feel this is unfair and borderline abusive and would like answers.

Hello, In XXXX, I signed up for a CollegeAve loan to help pay my way through XXXX University with the help of my parents. After signing up for this loan, I did not realize that payments needed to be made during school ( as this was not communicated ) so the loan unfortunately went to collections after a year and a half. Although I was paying the loan, it was not consistent enough for it to avoid collections. Prior to it going into complete write-off status, I paid CollegeAve through their student portal 8 payments of XXXX dollars from XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX that was not sent to the collection agency. The collection agency had that I owed more than I did. I receiveda letter on XX/XX/XXXX in the mail regarding two different offers that I could chose from to pay off my loan. At the time, it stated that I owed {$5100.00}. The two offers include payment plan one : {$3600.00} paid on XX/XX/XXXX or another payment plan 2 : $ XXXXmonth for 12 months. Since I paid that XXXX dollars through college ave website, I only owed at that time to COLLEGE AVE $ XXXXWhen communicating this with XXXX XXXX, they told me I needed to contact CollegeAve to send over the correct balance, but until they received the balance we agreed on a settlement offer of XXXX to reflect the XXXX dollars I had already paid in hopes they would receive it. After multiple chats and phone calls with CollegeAve, they refused to send over the correct balance and told me there was nothing that they could do. So for the past year since XX/XX/XXXX, I have been paying XXXX in order to pay off this loan. This number was agreed upon as long as XXXX XXXX received the XXXX dollars. Since they did not, I had to pay the remaining balance plus an EXTRA XXXX dollars. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was told by the Collections Agency that I have completed payments for this loan and that I no longer owe money. My account has been closed. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I logged into my CollegeAve account and it states that I owe XXXX. When contacting them about this balance and how it is incorrect, they told me I needed to go back to the Collections Agency. While doing so, Collections again reported my account has been closed and I do not owe any more money. CollegeAve reported there is nothing they can do at this time and that I would need to pay the extra balance that is owed. Something else that is strange is that the XXXX is not due until XXXX this loan began back in XXXX, and the payments were to be completed by XXXX depending on the payment plan. I feel that I do not owe this company more money as they have already taken XXXX dollars from me and now tell me I owe more although the people who they wrote this loan off too state I do not owe more. CollegeAve has not been helpful one bit throughout this process and have completely disregarded me everytime I contact them ( which is at least 3-4x a month ). At one point they asked me to stop contacting them although they were the ones that kept changing the total of the loan that I owed. Not one company has had the correct balance that I owe and are continuously asking for money that seems to come out of nowhere and just state it is " underpaid. '' This is extremely unfair to someone who has just graduated from college and has not began to make money. please help

In XX/XX/XXXX, I used College Ave to refinance a loan I had with XXXX ( now XXXX ). There was an overpayment by College Ave in the amount of {$630.00}. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and I have yet to be reimbursed despite many phone calls and promises of further action. In the most recent portion of the saga, XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from XXXX they issued the refund to College Ave ( after reaching supervisors and filing a complaint for XXXX with CFBP ). I made a conference call XX/XX/XXXX to confirm what information each company needed, and was told by College Ave Rep/Supervisor it would take up to 2 weeks to process this check once received. Allowing for holiday time etc, I called XX/XX/XXXX and was transferred to same College Ave Supervisor XXXX. There was no receipt of the check. After arranging to speak again with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, I made more conference calls and received tracking information and address to where the check was sent with both parties on the line. I was assured by College Ave Supervisor this would take a couple days to track using this information, up to maybe the following Mon XX/XX/XXXX. I called the next Thurs XX/XX/XXXX directly spoke with College Ave Supervisor and she said her company was still researching my check, and she would call me back. No call back. I called Fri XX/XX/XXXX, and spoke to another woman answering the College Ave Supervisor line and requested her to provide me with whatever update information she could. I received no call back. It will be a complete 7 months of this back and forth. I thought it was XXXX mainly for delaying and sending the wrong check twice. Now from College Ave Im receiving faulty promises that this is being expedited and that they are understanding of this recent delay. Im being told they care but no action has taken place. It has been 7 weeks or so since the check left XXXX. I was told 2 weeks to process. It has been another 7 Business days ( 10 days ) that I was told this was getting looked into, they said it would be 2-3 days. I was told I would be called back. I was not. I feel disrespected and as if someone has stolen this {$630.00} from me- not to be so dramatic, but I dont know whom I can trust that Im ever going to get my money back. My loan is being charged with interest amount ( {$20000.00} ) with my already paid money. And even the interest Im supposedly promised to be returned to me once the check is in, does not make up for the HOURS and angst Ive spend calling and emailing tracking this money down. Ive only shared about the phone calls in the past two months, there were a dozen more between the two companies I have records for. I am writing in hopes College Ave reviews their practices and how they handle overpayments/refund checks in the future, and also in hope that I will actually receive my refund and interest. Im not sure how more to escalate this. Thank you for your time.

XX/XX/XXXX made an extra payment to be applied to my principal balance. XX/XX/XXXX checked my account- part of payment was used to pay off interest and the rest was applied toward principal. My account showed my next payment lower than my normal amount. called and asked why this happened after I selected the setting for the payment to go directly to loan amount and not my next payment. They advised me they would fix it no problems. XX/XX/XXXX received an email saying my payment would be returned. checked my account the payment showed in their system as they had received it and checked my bank account and it showed they had taken the money from my account. my next payment still showed the same amount as yesterday. called and they said disregard the email and to give it another day or 2 for the account dashboard to show the proper information. XX/XX/XXXX - Dashboard still showed the same amount and the transaction log showed multiple instances of returned funds and then applied payments. My payment for the following month still showed a lower amount than what I normally pay ( the difference was the extra payment I asked to be applied on XX/XX/XXXX ). Called and asked why hasnt the changed applied was put on hold for around 15 min. When they came back to the phone they said they had fixed it. My next payment was the same amount as always but then when asked why did my principal balance not go down they could not give me a straight answer. Once this fix had gone through I noticed my minimum payment was raised to XXXX. The difference was the same amount as my extra payment. When I asked about this they had no idea what I was talking about and made it seem as if I was making this number up. It seems as if they raised my minimum amount just to make sure that the amount due next month was the same after my extra payment. They also informed me all extra payments go first to paying off outstanding interest and then applied to the principal. When asked again why i never saw my principal drop at all after these payments they said you have interest accrued. I asked why these didnt show up on the transaction history to verify the amount on the principal loan balance is correct I was answered with silence. Screenshots of everything that occurred on XX/XX/XXXX are available.

I applied to go to XXXX after transferring home From XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX after my mother had a XXXX XXXX on XXXX. I was only XX/XX/XXXX years old. After getting in, I only got about half of the money due for tuition in financial aid. So I had to go the private sector route. I first got a loan applying with my grandmother ( has since passed away after I graduated from XXXX XXXX ), this was from College Ave services. They gave me, {$31000.00} ( XXXX ID - XXXX ) for XXXX year of tuition. Disbursed on XX/XX/XXXX. After my first year I was taking summer classes. This time again, I would need financial aid. Not getting enough I would turn to the private sector again, But only this time I was denied any further loans from College Ave, even with my Grandmother as a cosigner. So I turned to XXXX XXXX. I was approved with my grandmother again as cosigner, for a loan of {$8800.00} ( Loan ID - # XXXX ) that was disbursed on XX/XX/XXXX. After summer classes, my Junior/Senior year was about to begin, and so I had to find more funding. This time though, nobody would approve me, I tried multiple different websites other than but including, XXXX XXXX and College Ave, I do not fault the others as looking back now as an actual adult how wrong it would be to give a person like me funding of that nature, but so many companies feast on people like me. I also tried multiple different cosigners from my family, but no luck. Therefore, I had spent a just about a year at XXXX, borrowed over {$60000.00} total ( including federal loans, just principal, now it is much higher ), and for nothing. I borrowed all that money to go to a dream school, with an incredible reputation, thinking I was knowing the risk and " knowing '' ( truly hoping ) a degree from there would be worth the money. I truly believe they both XXXX XXXX and College Ave gave me the original loans, more than well knowing that they would not approve me for a second one. How that is not unlawful is beyond me, but now I am stuck, worried sick about how to live, because I have this huge debt on my shoulders. In total with Federal I owe currently about XXXX in loans, and I graduated from a school that would have cost me {$80000.00} had I never tried to achieve a dream degree.

I have a private student loan with College Ave lending. I have made full payments on time for years. Last year, I began to fall behind. I tried to call them and request help prior to falling behind, as I knew I would not be able to make full payments soon. They had no help and I was told to " get a second job ''. I work 48+ hours per week already, have 3 kids, pay daycare and other living expenses. Eventually, I fell behind as expected. They harass and call relentlessly, even though I tell them I can not pay at the moment, and when I can I will send payments. Eventually, I stopped answering their calls because they became unbearable. In XX/XX/2023, my Fianc, who is not on my loan, as I am a SOLE borrower, I have no co signer, no one listed on my loan at all. They called him and disclosed personal information about my loan, my default and even tried to get him to change the terms of my loan and accept their " forgiveness '' program! He refused and informed the collector ( named XXXX ) that he was my fianc, not spouse, was not on my loan and would not make any decisions about my loan. I called and confirmed I was the sole borrower of my loan and filed a complaint. I had to conitnue to call back to verify my complaint was being " looked into ''. Eventually a supervisor called back and agreed and confirmed this XXXX did in fact disclose information he was not supposed to to my Fianc, I was told he would provide " more training ''. I requested documentation of my complaint and an explanation IN WRITING of their findings and remedy. To this day, I have not received anything. I had my Fiance 's number placed on a " block '' list. In XX/XX/2023, They called him again and left a message! I immediately called them and asked why they are continuing to call and received " ummm ... umm ... let me check on that.. I can add that for you '' when it should have already been blocked. They made no attempt to call me first, as our phones were right next to each other and I had XXXX missed called. They are continually violating my privacy in respects to my loan.

My now-deceased child was the borrower on Loan numbers XXXX and XXXX ( the " Loan '' ). I was the co-signer. XXXX was a passenger in a car when she was XXXX on XX/XX/2023. The loan was in forbearance at the time of XXXX 's death, the combined balance was {$20000.00} and no payment was due. For this reason, I had no obligation to pay either. When I contacted College Ave on XX/XX/2023 to inform them of her death, they offered to discharge the loan, without any payment, provided that I submitted a death certificate. I did so on XX/XX/2023. College Avenue reported to credit agencies that I did not pay the loan. They reported Legally paid in full for less than the full balance, '' to credit agencies, resulting in an approximately XXXX point drop in my credit score, even though I had no obligation to pay, and they offered to discharge XXXX 's debt. This is akin to a bankruptcy reporting, and appears to remain on credit reports for 6 years or more. Other creditors reported " Paid, Closed / Never Late '' or Paid Satisfactorily, and those reportings had no negative effect on my credit score. On XX/XX/2023, I spoke with the supervisor of College Ave 's credit reporting team. He acknowledged that College Ave had made an error, apologized profusely and promised that there would be a manual fix submitted to my credit so that it would show " paid satisfactorily '' and have no negative effect on my credit score. He said that it would update on the credit reporting agencies in a couple of days. College Ave has not corrected its errors and the result has been that my credit score has remained at the lowered level, creditors have reacted negatively by reducing or eliminating credit available and other negative credit results have occurred. I have disputed this reporting through the credit agency systems, and College Ave has verified the erroneous reporting. College Ave told the credit agencies that the reporting was accurate. As such, the credit agencies refused to update the credit reports and the damage was compounded.

on XX/XX/XXXX, I was made aware that my student loan had incorrectly been sent to collections. Not only that, but my student loans repayment plan had incorrectly kicked in ( while I was still in school, full time ). The only reason I found out was because I graduated on XX/XX/XXXX and I wanted to inquire about my repayment, since I was sure this would be coming soon. Shortly after I was informed that my loan had been sent to collections, I also learned that my credit score, along with my co-signer 's had been negatively impacted. Thinking this is unacceptable, I attempted to fix this by calling College Ave. During my first call, the clerk said " I hope we can take your account out of collections, since you being in school is definitely grounds for not having to start repayment ''. She gave me the email address to send all my documentation. I sent this the same day. Proof of enrollment all through XXXX, and then my graduation date. I called again today, and XXXX XXXX said there's nothing they could do for me. That the account was now on track to collections, and that this is now my issue to solve. Well, I think it very well is College Ave 's responsibility to ensure my account is taken out of collections, and that a proper repayment plan is instituted. At this point, due to the damages this caused to both my and my co-signer 's credit, I'm also asking for some sort of compensation. I let XXXX know that if I don't hear back from her supervisor by XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, I will be contacting my attorney, and pursuing legal action. It's just unbelievable that a company this size does not have the decency to correct a wrong quickly and effectively. Extremely disappointed.

I became delinquent on a private student loan through College Ave Student Loans in XXXX and this resulted in a charge off of my account. The account was forwarded to a third party agency, XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I completed a settlement agreement with the agency for a total of {$8100.00} and a letter confirming the settlement was sent to me on XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered this was incorrect on my credit report and spoke to a College Ave representative and they informed me this would be corrected. On XX/XX/XXXX, my husband and I made the decision to review our credit reports and discovered the account was still reflecting as past due on both our XXXX and XXXX accounts, so we submitted disputes to both companies with a copy of the settlement letter. During the investigation, College Avenue stated the information they were reporting was correct and even changed the XXXX report to reflect as a full balance of {$9300.00} was due, but only on my husband, XXXX XXXX XXXX report. I reached out to the bureaus to discuss and they informed me they can only report what the company provides them, regardless if my document provided proves otherwise. I reached out to College Ave Student Loans on XX/XX/XXXX and was informed they would investigate, but the account would reflect as open because it had become charged off, regardless of a settlement agreement. I disagreed with the representative and she informed me she would submit my account for review and return my call the following Monday, XX/XX/XXXX. I never received a phone call from the representative or College Ave.

On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX I applied for a student Loan from a XXXX XXXX XXXX as a cosigner for my son. He is going in his sophomore XX/XX/XXXX. They advertise rates between 5.29 % I presume for very good credit & 12.07 % I guess for not so good credit. After filling out the loan application I was approved but the rate they gave me was ridiculous over 12 %. I knew my credit score was in the top % in the country around XXXX and my income level not bad over {$100000.00}. One outstanding loan car loan of XXXX being paid off currently 2.99 % the best rate you can get from XXXX XXXX. I immediately call College Ave. about the situation and to no avail the salesperson said they could not do anything about it. I asked to talk to the credit decision dept. and they would not connect me. They email to finish my loan bit I would not at 12 %. I then received a letter from them dated on XX/XX/XXXX thanking me for applying. I come to find that my credit score was even high than I thought FICO XXXX. I then called College Ave customer service and explain the situation again they finally connected me to a supervisor who told it was because my XXXX XXXX son did not have a long enough credit history. I told her that was the purpose of me being a cosigner. I am on the hook for the money not him. Anyway it did not end well. I also ask what is the criteria for the best interest rate? She could not answer. I believe that I was treated very unfairly and they falsely advertise low rates.

Ive been in touch with this lender, CollegeAve, 10 times since this issue started. During Covid my father lost his job. I called asking if there was some way we could adjust the payments due to our income changing. He is my co-signer. They told me I could only defer it or make $ XXXX monthly payments. I wasnt thrilled about how low the only other payment option was, but I said I would go with that option. They put me on forbearance instead. The next month, when I went to make the payment, I called letting them know there was a mistake. I was told there was nothing they could do about it and I would have to wait the 6 months until the forbearance was up. I called 3 more times. I called again when they dinged my credit for a missed payment while I was on forbearance. After threatening to take legal action, it disappeared off of my credit report and student loan statement. I waited the 6 months to call again and attempt the {$25.00} option for the 2nd time ( or see if there were other options ) and was put back into forbearance. Again I was told there was nothing that could be done. My forbearance is up XX/XX/XXXX. I need an income based repayment plan. They have now added a year of interest to my balance. I was told my only option would be to refinance if I wanted something better suited for my income, but with my credit score alone I dont qualify for one. My co-signers credit has only taken a hit since not having work to pay his debts.

XX/XX/2019 was when I got my first bill from XXXX XXXX company. I had a balance of XXXX. I was responsible for making a payment of XXXX dollars originally from College Ave Loans. They told me about making payments each month for 2 years. I was dealing with College Ave Loans when I first sign up with my dad has the co-signer. He was the person that helped me with making the payments. The first time I was making payments toward my private loan i was making current payments until it was sent to a debt collector which was XXXX XXXX XXXX. They told me that I was behind on payments so I had to make the payments that they agree to which was {$180.00} each month. After that, I kept making monthly payments to XX/XX/2019. Then, in XX/XX/2019 I sign onto my website to make a payment to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I noticed my account balance was not correct. It went from {$1100.00} and now back to {$6800.00}. I realized that they had changed they had changed my account number and did not give me a letter to tell me that it was not going to be the same account anymore. So, that is when I decided to call College Ave Loans to tell them that the balance was not correct. College Ave loans did not fix anything that was wrong. They said that it was handle by another third party company. They would not be able to do anything else about that. I realized what they were doing was not legal it was something that they were making false statements about.

CollegeAve loan company is the company I have a private student loan with right now and I have filed a complaint against them very recently over their collection practices of harassing me AND my parents to collect on the loan I can't afford to pay any longer. I was told to call XXXX to arrange payment/settle. So I did. The gentleman I spoke with refused to even settle for half and instead sent me to a benefits specialist to see what kinds of " options '' I had until I could make payments. He refused to understand that I could no longer afford payments. So whoever responded that I could call the above number to offer settlement absolutely LIED to me. They don't care that I can't afford payment and won't be able to afford payment in the future. They want ALL their money. In case they haven't noticed, inflation is sky high. Food prices, gas prices are through the roof and my house payment has gone up due to prices of everything else going up. My homeowner 's insurance has gone up, which made the house payment go up. The property taxes went up as a result of the increased home values. That ALSO made my house payment go up. My car insurance has gone up as well due to no fault of my own as I have had no accidents. So CollegeAve needs to accept anything I can offer to settle to get rid of them for good. I have attached a screen shot of CollegeAve 's response to the first time I filed a complaint against them.

I refinanced my student loans with College Ave Student Loan Servicing in XXXX. The account was paid off in excess of $ XXXX dollar on XX/XX/XXXX. When I called to inquire about when I could expect a refund for my over payment, I was told it would be no longer than 45-60 days after the payment was received. As it's now over 60 days past their acceptance of the payment I called to inquire about my refund to be told that I was given the wrong information and it's actually 45-60 working days before a refund is provided. When I asked for them to show me where that notification is posted on their website, or on the e-letter I received indicating my loan balance had been paid off in full they could not provide me with any written proof of this being their policy. Furthermore, they are now saying since their own internal refund department did not receive notification of the payoff until XX/XX/XXXX, it would be 60 working days from that date before the refund is issued. This is a complete scam. Who knows how much floating capital they are collecting interest on while borrowers are waiting for their money. This is an illegal practice, and also somewhat ironic as I can only imagine what kind of debt collection XXXX they would put someone through who was 60 days late of providing them with their required loan payment. This company is dishonest, DO NOT trust them with your loans.

I have consolidated my federal educational loans through College Ave as of XX/XX/XXXX. While I am grateful for the opportunity to consolidate my loans, I am deeply concerned about the level of service being provided to borrowers during the global coronavirus pandemic. Three months of emergency forbearance ( while interest continues to accrue ) is simply inadequate and downright immoral. At the very least, College Ave should align to newly-mandated federal govt policy under the CARES Act : 1. All payments due through XX/XX/XXXX should be suspended immediately. 2. No interest should be allowed to accrue on loans during that same period. 3. No negative credit reporting on student loans during the same period. Why has College Ave chosen to not align with new federal guidelines on how borrowers should be supported during this time of crisis. With many borrowers facing the loss of employment/income, increased medical expenses, extremely ill if not recently-deceased family members ... how can College Ave in good conscience continue to fleece borrowers? My sincere hope is that College Ave revisits and revises its treatment of its borrowers during these unprecedented times. This is a moment in history when companies that care about their customers are set apart from the companies that show an utter disregard for consumers.

I have been having issues regarding college Ave student loans I have two student loans, which aren't on default. I have been making regular payments however if I fell behind for 10 days I get harassment calls really unpolite not only me but also my cosigner. This bank not only calls me and my cosigner but also my mother that is not part of this contract. I never owe a monthly payment for more than a month. I have been trying my best to be a good customer however due to the situation I have a hardship so I have been trying to offer the bank different solutions to make a payment arrangement that can help me and help the bank to get the payments on time but the constant answer is no that I have to make a complete payment. As a today I have two different companies with student loans. with college Ave student loans I'm paying {$1400.00} dollars which is almost 50 % of my monthly salary. Thanks to this situation I am suffering from anxiety because I barely have money to survive. Please help me with this bank cause I don't know what to do all I'm looking for is to make a payment arrangement so I can pay a lower amount and not get this debt in default.

I am a co-signer on my son 's student loans that he has with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. He graduated in XXXX of XXXX and his payments will convert to principal and interest payments next month ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I received a billing statement dated XX/XX/XXXX with a total amount due of {$250.00} for one of his loans. The payment for XXXX should be {$98.00}, not {$250.00}. I called XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with customer service rep XXXX. She stated that they had an error in their system and sent out incorrect billing statements to their borrowers. She stated that the statement I received showed the payment due for XXXX AND XXXX but that I only needed to pay {$98.00} for XXXXXXXX XXXX payment. I asked her if they would be sending out a corrected statement because I was not comfortable shorting the payment due that was on my statement with concerns it might affect my credit. She said that XXXX XXXX would not be sending out corrected billing statements and that is how they are dealing with everyone that received an incorrect statement. She stated that I was incorrectly billed for 57 billing days instead of 30 billing days.

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is the company I am filing the complaint on. I do have a private student loan I have defaulted on because I can't afford to keep paying the loan. I want to settle the debt at some point with them but not now since I don't have the money. My name is the only one on the loan. Their headquarters is in Delaware at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, DE XXXX. Not only have they called my parents harassing them from a fraudulent number, but they have also now called me from a fraudulent number. The number they called my parents from was from a XXXX ( XXXX XXXX, AR ) number and the number they called me from was an XXXX ( XXXX Arkansas ) number. It was XXXX to be exact and my cell phone shows this number to be from XXXX XXXX, AR!!! This loan company has NO offices in Arkansas. I was going to offer to settle for {$10000.00}, about half of the loan balance, but since they have now called both me and my parents from fake phone numbers, that offer will now be reduced to {$6000.00}, or {$2000.00} for each time they've called us from fake numbers. I want a stop put to this NOW!

I recently filed a complaint with College Ave Student loans on XX/XX/XXXX with complaint ID number, XXXX- Please review as this complaint pertains to that. i recently completed paying off this loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX, a debt collection service agency. I came to a term agreement and paid off the selected amount to get rid of this loan. the loan was then put to XXXX and i was told i no longer owe anymore money to college ave. I also did not pull out any other loans from this company besides in XXXX and XXXX, which have been paid off. they are now trying to scam me and charge me another XXXX, despite having to refund me over XXXX XXXX due to overcharging me for the loan. it is necessary that the fees be revoked and that i do not owe any more money to such a terrible agency that is trying to steal money from college kids. Plus, i was told if i pay on the college ave website, who NO longer has control of the loan, my payments will go nowhere! and the company XXXX no longer has the account because it is paid in full. college ave is not responding to me and i am left with no other choice.

On XX/XX/2023, XXXX/CollegeAve student loans wrote off and closed an account with student loans worth {$10000.00}. This was unbeknownst to me for several months till my father, who is a co-signer to this loan applied for a loan and got reject. Upon reviewing my credit report I noticed a write off from CollegeAve student loans. The loan was put on a disbursed schedule during the pandemic and CollegeAve had never informed me when the disbursement had ended. Furthermore CollegeAve had never informed me and I had never received either through email or mail that the loan was about to be written off. This write off has drastically reduced my credit score and destroyed the score of my father who had worked so hard to build it. I had the means to pay for it all this time but CollegeAve had never given me the opportunity to do so but rather sent it to write off without any notification whatsoever. I believe that that is a violation of consumer protection law and thus I appeal that this write off be removed from my credit report.

I chose to refinance my student loans wit h College Ave l oans. They ultimately used XXXX as the refinance company.

CollegeAve/ XXXX disbursed the payment and started accruing interest on X/XX/17 a nd my previous provide r ( XXXX XXXX ) received/processed the payment o n X/XX/17 . Ther e was a six day window where I was being charged interest in both places, XXXX XXXX and XXXX .

I have calle d College Ave about once a month since XX/XX/XXXX when I realized this. Each time they told me they would escalate the issue and get it fixed right away. Clearly that has still not happened and is the reason why I am writing this.

CollageAve/ XXXX must go back and recalculate all interest and payments that I have made towards this balance because I have paid more interest than I should since the Principal amount would have been lower each time they calculate interest

Over the last 4 weeks I have been actively attempting to payoff 1 of 4 loans I have with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX company. - I made a {$1300.00} payment request in XXXX, it was reversed 3 days later. - I inquired about it, the customer service rep was unable to tell me why. He advised he will inquire and will contact me back. Never did. - 4 days later I see the {$1300.00} payment is being made, but spread across the 4 loans rather than how I authorized it towards 1 loan. - I inquired again and was told I would be refunded. It never happened. - I again called and requested that the payment is properly allocated towards the right loan. I was told by a " Supervisor '' that it will be, 5 days later and it has yet to be done. Terrible company. There has to be something illegal about what they're doing. I'm currently in process of transferring my loans to another company.

In 2020 my ex-partner used my information for a quote for a private student loan from College Ave Student Loans. I saw how high the interest rate was and the loam amount and decided that I did not want to be the cosigner for this loan. Despite my clear dis-interest and rejection for cosigning this loan the she used my information anyways and took out not only one, but two loans. Last year I talked to College Ave Student Loans about removing me as a cosigner but this was never resolved and they would not remove me as a cosigner. Now the account has gone into delinquency and it is hurting my credit and my financial future. My information was used without my permission, I was not present for cosigning for this loan, and I made it clear that I did not want to be the cosigner. Someone used my SSN and other info to cosign a loan application through College Ave. When I found out, I contacted College Ave and let them know that it was a case of identity theft and I had not actually authorized this individual to use my info. Fortunately, the loan application was denied and no funds were disbursed. However, I still filed a police report for identity theft with the XXXX Police Department in Michigan Report # XXXX, Contact XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to verify ). I requested a copy of the application from College Ave so I can use it to support my police report and they refused to provide it, despite the fact that it was made using my information. As a result of their refusal to provide a copy of the application, College Ave is preventing me from seeking justice for having my identity stolen and used to fraudulently secure a loan.

I recently refinanced and consolidated my loans from College AVE with another lender. The other lenders ' check to college ave was cleared on XX/XX/21 over two weeks ago and the payment has not posted to my account. College Ave denies receiving payment stating that my accounts are overdue. Customer Service has been very unhelpful and insists that I send a copy of the front and back of the check from the other lender before they contact another team to search for the payment. This is a lot of money to " lose '' on their end. I have requested to speak with a supervisor but was told that none were available even after I told them I was going to file this complaint. This is not the first issue I have had with this lender, it's just the final straw.

College Ave has marked that I was over 30 days delinquent on payment for both XXXX and XXXX of 2020. This is not the case and both months were paid on time, or early. This has caused a precipitous credit score drop. After getting in touch with them, they corrected this problem, and my credit score reflected that. However, the next month the late payment for XXXX showed up again. Ive reached out to them multiple times, filed disputes, and the delinquency still shows on my credit report. They said that they have fixed the issue and it should be updated, but its not. They continually say theyre not sure why its reported late, or that theyve fixed the issue, or they will send it to their supervisor, but nothing changes.

For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report, I called COLLEGEAVE and they said their system mistakenly put me on paperless billing, which I did not request, and it caused my 30 day late. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record. I tried contactingXX/XX/XXXX, and COLLEGEAVE with no successful resolution.XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX reporting me 30 days late in XX/XX/2020, XX/XX/2020, XX/XX/2020. There was an error on their part. College Avenue Student Loan reported to XXXX that a payment in XX/XX/XXXX was late by 30 days. However, College Ave also reported the following : " Payment Deferred. XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX '' The above is taken directly from the information submitted by College Ave Student Loan to XXXX. The XX/XX/XXXX payment is being reported 30 days late by College Ave Student Loan, however, this could not possibly be true since College Ave Student Loan is also reporting the Payments were deferred starting in XX/XX/XXXX. I believe College Ave is discriminating against me on the basis of race.

I paid Collage Ave the full amount of my loan. They dropped the last number on my account so that the payment did not go through then charged me extra interest. So I submitted again, They are doing the same thing again. This keeps happening. I asked for alternative payments methods. They do not have any. They keep saying I am not submitting the correct account information. I have photographic evidence of what I sent is accurate. They just keep messing up my payments and charging more interest. This is a big scam they are pulling.
