On XX/XX/18, I was contacted by someone who later claimed to be " Mrs. XXXX '' at Collectron. She said that I owed $ 500+ for medical bills with XXXX XXXX XXXX They are a very large local company and cover a range of services. The date was from my XXXX on XX/XX/18. Previously, scammers have contacted me by phone and then emailed falsified insurance documents, from this same XXXX. The amounts, times and companies are not related, and I do not believe these cases to be related aside from perhaps a breach of my medical records at this time.
I asked Mrs XXXX for mailed proof of the debt. She refused and then became hostile. I did quick research while on the phone and found that she was breaking the law with her refusal. I brought this up. She became more hostile. I told her to have a good day and goodbye.
While this is most likely a non-existent debt, there's a rare chance that this is an employee who just doesn't know what she's doing. If that's the case. I do not want my credit to be harmed. I'm actively looking to purchase a new home in the next two months.
In trying to take this up with the company, I found the CEO 's name and email online and emailed him the following : Good Afternoon XXXX, A person calling herself Mrs. XXXX just called me to collect a debt and said that she is from your company, Collectron. I recognize the name of the company that she says I owe, but do not recall receiving bills from them. Rather than give payment to someone over the phone who could easily be a scammer, I asked her to send proof of the debt owed, which is my legal right. She refused and was extremely rude. This is a formal request for mailed proof of any debt that may be on file in my name at your company. If there is no debt, this is a formal request to receive written notification of a lack of debt.
Thank you,

Today, Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call at work from Collectron a company in XXXX, GA attempting to collect a debt from a company that I had not heard of ( XXXX XXXX ). I asked if it was a doctor 's office and which Doctor it was for. They were not able to tell me. I also asked that they not call my work number and asked to have a detailed bill sent to my current address. I was told that they were not able to send anything until I made a payment. After I refused to do so I was transferred to the caller 's " Boss '' at which time I was screamed at and told I could " do this in one of two ways '' split the payment or pay it all at once over the phone. He did not identify himself when I asked for his name. I told him that I was not able to speak t him in detail at work while he continued to scream into the phone. I hung the phone up on the caller.

In XX/XX/2016 I saw a Dr. at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Ga. for a routine visit. Upon his questioning about my sleeping he suggested I take a " sleep test '' I was sent home with a mask and some vague instructions how to use it. I was to sleep with this on for 2 nights and return it for a diagnosis. After attempting to use it for a few hours the first night and not getting any sleep at all I notified the Dr. the next day. I was informed not to " worry about it '' and just return it, which I did that week. Soon after, I received a bill for over {$600.00} for " services '' I complained to management at the medical group several times to no avail, they continued to charge me and I continue not to pay for services I did not receive.
