I received a voicemail from a lady in reference to a legal matter for someone that is not me. She left a voicemail about a process server and a number to the client she was calling for stating they were trying to serve this person whom does not and has never resided with me. I called the client Coastline and Associates known as C & A number and spoke with someone and he became very irate when I asked him to remove my number from their call list stating they were trying to reach this person and it was not me. I explained I am not that person and he continued to ask if I knew her and I told him it did n't matter if I did or did n't and not to call my home. They skip traced and located my number as someone who is somehow connected to this individual. According to FDCPA they are not to contact others but once about trying to locate an individual. When I asked them to not call my home or contact me he became irate stating they should not have given my number out. I know they had no way of giving my number because they do not have my number. My number is a new number. This man harassed me and badgered me even cursed me so I cursed back. I do not appreciate being called about anyone debt and would like this company to cease all calls to me in relation to anyone I may or may not know or be related to. I researched and found they are scamming on old accounts that are all over 12 years old. It is in most cases it is past the statue of limitations to contact someone about a bill that has fallen off their credit for over 7 years or that was discharged in a bankruptcy case. If I continue to receive calls I will file a lawsuit against them. I will also contact the attorney general office on this company. I am not the person they are looking for therefore I should not be harassed or called. And frankly if they are contacting a person for a debt well over the statue of limitations they should cease and desist all contact with them as well.

This debt collector is harassing me at my place of employment. They asked for the owner and told them that they needed to know what the protocol is to serve one of their employees with court papers. They told my boss that it was an emergency that I called back within the hour, saying it was a legal matter. I was pulled away from a client at work to call these people back. I called them, and they would not explain to me who they were and what the matter was shot and kept putting me on hold. I finally got upset and told them that I stepped away from a client and they need to tell me what they want from me and who they are. The last told me to go back to my client then and call later. I said NO, I 'm on the phone now, now tell me what you want? Then she said " I 'll tell you what I want '' and hung up on me. My boss called them back to see what was going on and they preceded to tell her that they needed to talk to me. I got on the phone and they claimed I owed a debt from a credit card that was opened from XXXX. I told them it 's not mine and they kept insisting it WAS and that I was going you be sued and my papers ares on their lawyers desk.. I told them I 'll get to the bottom of it and check my credit report to see if It was some mistake. I hung up with them, then they called my cell phone the next day leaving me a voice message that if I do n't take care of this matter today, that they will be taking further action. This is a scam I believe and I 'm sure the statue of limitations had also been passed. They were very nasty on the phone.

On XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX, XXXX, an individual called my employer and spoke to a colleague about a " pending lawsuit against me '' and they needed to " reroute legal papers that were being served to me. '' After the first instance, I told them to not contact my employer again. They contacted my employer a second time, where I again stated that were to not contact me at my place of employment. The person who left the message was named " XXXX XXXX. '' I spoke to someone called " XXXX XXXX, '' who then sent " legal documents '' to my email address. It is a debt collection notice for a debt that I do not owe. It is from XXXX and is not on my credit report. The original creditor had sold the debt years ago. This company, going by " XXXX and XXXX, '' is also known as XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXXl XXXX/XXXX XXXX XXXX. They have three different addresses and numerous telephone numbers. I attempted to reach out to one of them and it was answered by a law firm called " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. '' The receptionist mentioned she receives numerous phone calls from people trying to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The number for XXXX XXXX XXXX no longer works. Additionally, I have sent out " cease and desist notices '' via email and certified mail to all three companies. I spoke to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, after she called my cell phone, and informed her that it is not my debt and they need to stop contacting me. She again threatened to have me served at my place of employment.

My landlord received a call from XXXX, a debt collection company, who said they had a delivery for me and wanted to confirm my address and social security number. They left the phone number XXXX and a case number XXXX. I returned the call myself to request their mailing address in order to send them a cease and desist letter and to inform them that my sole source of income is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The ( unidentified ) woman on the phone refused to provide the company 's address and claimed that they were in the process of filing court documents to recoup an alleged debt. They would not provide me with any specifics regarding this debt and called me a " deadbeat '' who was trying to " hide behind a legal technicality '' ( my right to request that they stop calling me or my landlord and to contact me in writing, only ) at which point I ended the call. I have located an address for XXXX online and have sent a cease and desist letter, with a copy to XXXX.

On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I was contacted via phone by a XXXX XXXX with Coastline & Associates about an alleged debt that I owed to a local hospital from XXXX. XXXX XXXX said they have been trying to serve me and the sheriff was coming. My credit would be harmed. They would lean my assets and my house. Just very threatening and mean. If I agreed to pay then via credit card they would send a release to fax and reduce the claim by half ( {$500.00} ). I fell for it and gave them the credit card which was immediately charged. I called the hospital and there is no unpaid bill. XXXX XXXX found me by calling several relatives. I have tried to reach her, but there has been no response. Her supervisor is a XXXX XXXX. His email address is XXXXXXXXXXXX. The research that I have been able to pull online shows that this company is located in XXXX, CA. Address is XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CA XXXX

i received a voicemail message from a XXXX XXXX XXXX from Coastline and Associates/Prodigy Portfolio Management stating that unless I returned her call and set up a payment plan on a credit card debt from XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX that they would take legal action. At the time i was on pain medication, having XXXX the previous day and was frightened enough by her to agree to a payment arrangement. Needless to say, I have no recollection of that conversation. When I called to ask why they had debited {$50.00} from my checking account she said i agreed to it and the call had been recorded. I 'm sure anyone listening to the call could tell i was under the influence of XXXX. She became extremely belligerent, threatening to sue me - what a laugh, i 'm XXXX and own no property. The more research i have done on these companies they seem to be a scam.

Company 's name is Coastline & Associates LLC ... called my husband at his job ( XXXX XXXX, 2016 ) and left a message for him to call and speak to XXXX XXXX about a supposed old debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$1500.00} ... threatened husband with the law, etc ... we do n't recall this debt at all, but said well maybe it was one from a time over 8 years when it was rough. So my husband called the guy next day arranged for payment agreement and he also asked for it in writing. We got the letter today, XXXX XXXX, 2016 and the letter is a photocopy, no real signature and is asking for the payment only in form of a debit/credit card ... we had something similar happen few years back so this alerted me. Researched them online and have found nothing to show they are legitimate or that what they are doing is real and not a scam.

My XXXX year old Aunt received a call from XXXX, and so did my workplace, claiming they were a process server and if I did not call them back in 2 hours, they would serve court papers. I called the number back and they wanted credit or debit card information so I could make a payment on a debt that was written off in 2008. They told my Aunt that HER address was my last known address, which is not correct. At my workplace, they wanted to talk to the immediate supervisor ( which is myself ), but it was my day off. If I was not the supervisor, what would they have told that person? They had my SSN. I told them to send me something in the mail, and she said they did not do that.
