I enrolled in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I started the class and after one week I withdrew from the program after badly failing their mandatory tests. Their boot camp is setup so that students can not complete the material in the time frame requested and most students fail or drop out with nothing to show for their effort. I notified the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, my academic adviser, and the student loan company/Climb Credit that I was withdrawing and to cancel my loan. Climb credit emailed me back and told be that my loan was funding the next day and that I would have to get a refund from the school. I called my academic adviser/XXXX XXXX XXXX who told me to call XXXX XXXX who enrolled me with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX and he thought I had a withdrawal window to get out of the class. Every time I spoke with XXXX he did not give me any options except to continue their program and continually lied telling me he would speak with his superiors as it was not his decision and that he would call me back. XXXX never called me back or gave me any options to withdraw or make a partial payment. I called XXXX a week later after our last conversation and he kept giving me the same story and told me someone would call me. This has not happened. Since then I enrolled in a local XXXX XXXX/XXXX and spoke with several IT professionals who confirmed my fears=that the 20 hour time frame XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX/XXXX XXXX gives their students to pass XXXX XXXX certification was impossible unless I already knew the material. The community college and other schools in my area give their students 280-300 hours to be able to learn and pass the XXXX XXXX certification. I knew I was in real trouble after my own academic adviser/XXXX told me not to be surprised that at the end of the course if not many of the enrolled students would not be around and most would drop out. The other issue is that they are not offering me any type of refund or partial payment options and are trying to stick me with the whole loan for {$7000.00}. XXXX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX where I am now enrolled for the XXXX XXXX told me that if I do not complete 20 % of their program they would issue me a complete tuition refund. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX told me they could only charge me for the portion of the program I completed if I withdrew early for any reason. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX/XXXX XXXX is setting their students up to fail and roping them into {$7000.00} loans with Climb Credit with no option to withdraw or pay for the portion of the class that they did complete. Climb Credit is just as bad and refuses any options or relief from their " Student/Personal Loans. '' This is unreasonable and predatory lending practices at best if it is not straight up illegal. Please read all the way to the end. This is a continuation of a problem and I called in about my concerns. My wife and I applied for loans on XX/XX/XXXX with Climb Credit. They approved my wife and had her co-sign on my loan for approval. We started at our XXXX school ... XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, and right away we knew they did not live by their motto. They said they would be with us every step of the way. We contacted Climb to ask about switching schools, switching classes, starting over etc ... any possibilities because we left our jobs and took out 30k in loans. They said they would get back to us the next day ... we never heard back from them. I sent a couple emails out asking about the possibilities and never heard anything until XX/XX/XXXX when an email was received that we had been withdrawn. I immediately called and no one could help right away. The fact is we never withdrew ... We never signed any papers stating we wanted to withdraw .... They never spoke with XXXX..EVER ... they took a payment that should not have been withdrawn from our bank account. XXXX XXXX said they initiated the withdrawal until we mentioned CFPB and attorney and they quickly stated Climb initiated it. We are filing a separate order against XXXX XXXX. They lied and said because of attendance. We missed 2 days at the time they initiated the withdrawal. We left our jobs, we have lost wages, maxed our credit cards so we can try to maintain our dream of schooling, and now we are expected to pay Climb back for the portion Climb took out of the loan .... No one has ever heard of a school withdrawing anyone on someone else 's word. Since that time XXXX XXXX paid back most of loan. There is a bigger issue. This goes to Identity theft and wire fraud. We have been in constant contact with XXXX and XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX, VP of XXXX ( XXXX ) XX/XX/XXXX took this fiasco on personally. XXXX XXXX looked over the paperwork we sent and agreed there were XXXX loans taken out on XXXX students. Climb some how attached themselves to XXXX and they are NOT associated. Then on XX/XX/XXXX there was a new account on XXXX credit from Climb. How is that possible? We were withdrawn on XX/XX/XXXX? XXXX says they are up to date on the loan so how is it possible we had a loan also with Climb? XXXX loan was closed XX/XX/2017 with XXXX and just confirmed that again today ( XX/XX/2017 ). Where is the money, why were we not notified about the third loan, and who authorized the loan? Why is Climb still pulling hard inquiries and what is the reason they defaulted a loan we do not have? Why are they dealing with us as if they are XXXX? This is serious and we are pursuing this to the end.

XXXX XXXX I took out a personal loan with Climb Credit ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NV XXXX ) to attend a cybersecurity certification program with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TN XXXX ). I was approved for a {$10000.00} loan and was required to pay {$500.00} of my own money directly to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was slated to begin the course XX/XX/XXXX. Mid XXXX, I received an email from XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX advising that the start date was pushed back to XX/XX/XXXX. After receiving that email in early XXXX, I reached out to the XXXX of XXXX with XXXX to see if any additional action was needed for me to continue with the XX/XX/XXXX start date. I was advised directly at this time that my XXXX loan was returned to Climb Credit and that I would need to speak with them regarding any further information for my loan. I asked if I would be refunded by XXXX for the {$500.00} deposit and it was returned to me immediately. I then reached out to Climb Credit and told advised that the loan return was initiated by XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ( almost 2 months prior to my notification ) but XXXX XXXX failed to actually return the funds. Since XXXX, I have received many different responses from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Initially, I was told that funds were returned. After letting XXXX know that Climb said the funds were never returned, I was told that the funds would be returned immediately and to allow 30 days. Next, I was advised by a new XXXX XXXX XXXX that they were looking into the issue or that they would contact me back. Each time, no one follows up with me or keeps their word. I always have to reach out to them. Now, XXXX XXXX has stopped responding to my inquiries. This has been ongoing since Mid XXXX XXXX XXXX Climb Credit responds but insists that XXXX XXXX XXXX has not returned the funds. To date, I have asked for a statement of my account as well as the wire transfer number for the transfer of funds back to the loan servicer and XXXX XXXX has not provided anything. The loan payments continue to be debited from my account by XXXX XXXX on a monthly cadence and is accruing interest. I have never attended orientation or a class because I was advised that I was unable to do so citing that because the loan was returned, I would need to reapply and secure funds a second time. What are my options? What are my next steps to recovering the funds for this loan? It is impacting my credit and my ability to secure a different loan for a different institution.

I was part of the XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX specifically with the full-stack engineering course on XX/XX/2022. I was offered the opportunity and was offered the chance to finance through Climb Credit. I had some initial difficulty applying on my own so I had my husband apply with me and was approved for the total of the class. Due to outside circumstances, I unfortunately had to withdraw early and was offered a partial refund from XXXX XXXX since I had been in the class for 12 days, which was understandable. The refund process was a nightmare and took approximately 6 months for it to reflect as having been processed, which to this day still shows that I owe the full {$15000.00} despite the refund being processed weeks ago according to XXXX XXXX. Now, on this I will not fault Climb as I think the error was on XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX end, however the refund was processed, according to XXXX XXXX, and as of me writing this I still reflect the full balanced owed, with a payment coming due in the coming weeks for that full balance. Where I begin this complaint is that the amount that was refunded seems to be vastly under what I actually paid out. I received a refund of {$9500.00} when I should have received a refund of {$11000.00}. It was explained to me by XXXX XXXX that this extra {$2300.00} or roughly 20 % of the value of the loan is a fee/tip/gratuity that Climb takes off the the top of the loan. Setting aside the fact that any financial product that takes 20 % of the value of the product as a tip is an extremely poorly designed financial product, that I normally would not have signed up for, I also noticed that I was unable to find this tip or anything mentioning this 80 % advance value loan in either agreement I signed with both XXXX XXXX or Climb Credit. I have uploaded both agreements and have gone through both. The 80 % advance and 20 % fee/tip is not mentioned in anything that I signed nor was it ever explained to me in either my conversations with XXXX XXXX nor with Climb Credit. I have also reached out to both companies and provided their breakdown or responses to each other. It appears they seem to think the the other is responsible for the missing money. I am less concerned about that and more concerned about why this 20 % missing tip was never explained to me or was never in any of the documents I signed and why that money was not refunded as well.

In XXXX XXXX I got a loan from Climb ( who partners with XXXX ) in order to attend XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Design Program. This was one of two lenders recommended by the school. I took out a loan of {$16000.00} with an interest rate of 8.15 % equalling {$17000.00}. Therefore owing {$550.00} for 36 months after a 6 month deferment period. I used a credit card that was accepted as proof of payment at the time of loan agreement. I was expecting to make my first payment in XXXX but the $ never came out of my account, but was reassured everything was fine when I went on the Climb site. The Climb website shows I have no past due payments. & that my auto payment is set up with XXXX. And that my 1st payment is due XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, I wanted to make sure there wouldn't be an issue so I logged into my XXXX account & it showed that I had no card on file. I called Climb to find out they no longer accept inbound calls. And the message center says if the funds have already been sent & used to call XXXX with any issues. I called XXXX and was told they no longer accept credit cards as a form of payment because " Climb said so '' or due to " new regulations in the dept. of treasury ''. When I asked for more information I was told that they don't have any. I was also given multiple dates as to when this came into effect. All of which after our agreement was made. My call was dropped multiple times while trying to get more information. Since the time of my loan.. Approx 7-8 months I have been contacted 0 times by either company notifying me of any updates/changes made. Including a new website. Where I can no longer access documents from our agreement. The original Climb site shows an error while trying to access those documents. While on the phone XXXX said they have to request my promissory agreement from Climb. Even though they now have a joint website. I've also read online about peoples experience with these companies & saying there were issues with double charging. I'm concerned if my payment method is with a savings account my money with not be protected & insured the same way a credit card will. And I will not be able to get in contact or get helpful customer service. I would like to pay my loan in the way I originally intended and on time. I just want to know what's going on.

XXXX XXXX XXXX ( from here on Climb ) has unfairly increased the principal of my student debt by {$3900.00}. They acknowledge that it is a mistake that occurred on XX/XX/XXXX, but they havent solve it. Meanwhile, everyday I accrue interest on the wrong principal. I took a loan with Climb for {$15000.00} disbursed on XX/XX/XXXX. This money was disbursed directly to XXXX XXXX to pay for the software development bootcamp offered by that institution. On XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX paid Climb {$3900.00}. This reimbursement was made by XXXX XXXX because it closed its on-site bootcamp and the students affected were reimbursed part or whole of the tuition depending on whether they accepted or declined the online option. I accepted the online option and I was partially reimbursed. On XX/XX/XXXXXXXX I checked my online Climb account and I found that the money paid by XXXX XXXX had been reversed. Meaning the negative number that lowered the principal by {$3900.00} had been offset by a positive number of the same magnitude marked with the word Reversal. On XX/XX/XXXXXXXX I made a call to XXXX XXXX XXXX which is the number published on the Climb website. They told me that the reversal occurred on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX but they did not tell me why. They also couldnt tell me why I hadnt been informed or when the problem was going to get solved. They only said that they were sorry, that an error had occurred, that they were investigating and that they would contact me once they had an update. Since then I have made several calls and written multiple emails to Climb and I always get the same response : They are sorry and they will contact me when the issue is solved. Today I checked again the account and the Reversal is still there. I want to highlight that the problem is not only that the principal is higher than it should be, but that the interest is being accrued incorrectly EVERY day. I have exhausted all the channels provided by Climb but they havent reversed the error. Any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX, The companies involved are the XXXX XXXX, Climb credit, and XXXX XXXXt. I signed up for a coding bootcamp at the XXXX XXXX and got approved for a loan for tuition from a third-party company that's associated with the XXXX XXXX, called Climb credit. The tuition/ loan amount was XXXX. I was told by the XXXX XXXX that you are not liable for the loan if you don't take the classes and have fully withdrawn from the course. I withdrew from the course as I had not attended any classes or did any course work and was expecting that to be the end of it. However, a few months later XXXX connect emailed me saying that they would start deducting from my account. I called XXXX to dispute that I had already withdrawn and that the loan was never used and should have been refunded. XXXX connect replied that the XXXX XXXX has never sent us an update on your withdrawal, and to contact the school again. I contacted the school again and was directed to the XXXX XXXX XXXX team. Whom of which they replied that I had not been fully withdrawn from the course and needed my signature again. I signed the new withdrawal form and waited the XXXX days that the refunds team asked for to process the withdrawal and the refund. A few months later XXXX connect emails me again about my numerous late fees and how after XXXX days of not paying them my credit will be affected because I have not sent in the monthly payments for the loan. I called and disputed again, and their response was that the initial lender Climb credit is still processing that refund under their portal and that they can not cancel the late payment emails. I am vastly tired of being ping ponged back and forth between these XXXX companies and assume that something fraudulent is happening.

I wanted to further my education into getting a degree/diploma in XXXX XXXX I contact the schooXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to help me with my desire. I was told I was going to get reach out to since there was no class at the moment, the school was going to further investigate to find me the course that would subsequent in elderly management. The school instances that I should take a loan ( climb ) which I denied numerous times since I did want to pay out of pocket. Since XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX didn't have my class at the time I was offered a class in XXXX which I didn't see fit since it was not the original class I had wanted. The school said they would get back to me if a class was aligned with my desire. A week to a week and a half later the school came back to me saying they couldn't give me the class I needed. I told the representative that I want to decline there services overall since it did not seem necessary. Since I did want to cancel I was sent a cancellation letter where I was then told that I had to pay a total of {$3400.00} to cancel. Although I had seen on my bank account that money had already been removed ( XXXX XXXX {$25.00}, XXXX XXXX {$100.00}, XXXX XXXX {$470.00} ). Which both XXXX and Climb both deny that either companies had removed the money. I communicated with Climb ( loan company ) representative had advised me the school should return the money I was instructed to open a case which I did so with the representative at climb. I have then been called almost everyday from XXXX XXXX XXXX to sign the cancellation agreement. Which I don't see why I should give them {$3400.00} if I had not received the services I needed to begin with. Lastly I decided to freeze all my bank accounts till I could find a resolution to this issue.

This person named XXXX from XXXX called in XXXX and at the time I was out of a job. Now I have a job thankfully and I'm trying to catch up on everything. This person calls me today while i'm at work, threating me telling me he is going to get off the phone with me and contact his client and tell them I won't cooperate and they can go ahead and push penalties on me. I asked him to email me the information about the debt, he said he isn't able to do that. He wanted me to hand over my debit card number and set up a date to collect. I don't feel comfortable about handing my card number out to anyone, especially when I don't have proof they are not a scammer. I told him I could not talk, because I was at work and I didn't want to loose my job. He kept telling me that I better call him back or he was going to contact his client. I asked him to email me a site or something that shows the debt and how to start paying it off and I would like to see a payment schedule. He said he doesn't have that he just needs to put my card in the system and charge it for what ever day I get paid. I didn't even catch the name of the company he is working with. He told me I better call him back after I get off work, I asked him for the number to call him back, he said I already gave it to you before. VERY RUDE! I told him I didn't appreciate him threating me. I listed the phone number he called me from above.

In XX/XX/XXXX I enrolled in XXXX education services. I attempted to cancel several times. Received confirmation of cancelled class in XX/XX/XXXX. They did not offer the type of service advertised and my advisor was in XXXX which made it difficult to communicate. XXXX contacted me on XX/XX/XXXX to sell the loan for 1 month of service to Climb. ( Only did classes up to unit XXXX ) I responded to them on XX/XX/XXXX highlighting that I did NOT consent to financing one month of service with Climb I called Climb on Friday XX/XX/XXXX. To get more information on the loan. They refused to confirm loan amount, they refused to provide any assurance that they would resolve this issue. I highlighted several times I did not consent to financing this amount. I am making this CFPB complaint because I don't have any idea what terms XXXX signed me up for it what fraudulent information they provided. I consented to financing the whole class at enrollment but once cancelled I had to pay for the time I was there due to XXXX finance agreement with Climb. Climb took on this loan knowing it was likely fraudulent since it's outside of their standard financing agreement.

They encouraged me to use a co-applicant to increase my chances, which I did by reapplying with my wife. And it did not even take 24 hours and I receive the same standard message of rejection on XXXX XXXX. Their website clearly specifies that they do not do hard hits on credit reports so we should not see any loss of points or negative consequences on our credit score. However, since the last application, they keep running our credit reports. The last XXXX was this XXXX XXXX, the XXXX time. I have not applied for credit since that second application, yet my credit report is pulled again and again. The same for my wife. I attempted to contact them to discuss this matter through the number provided on their website, but it keeps sending me to an automated message telling me the hours of operation and to call back. I have not heard from them despite my many attempts.

I attended a XXXX XXXX and paid for it with a loan from climb credit. I am currently furloughed because of COVID-19 and I wanted to defer my loan. They told me I that theyre deferral option is to pay a smaller monthly payment but that isnt a deferral. Deferment is to make no payments. Climb has their own definition of what deferment means and they have a deferral policy that allows me to defer payments for 6 months during the life of the loan. According to the law and the English dictionary, deferment means no payments. They are trying to force me to pay when I have no money and will not allow me to defer payments like I thought I would be able to. I took the loan with a clear understanding of what a deferment means and they have completely blindsided me with their own made up definition of a deferral. This isnt what I agreed to when I took the loan. They cant make their own definition of what a deferment means. Please help me with this. These people are trying to take advantage of me and I wont allow it to happen. The loan is for $ XXXX and it was disbursed in XX/XX/2019.

I financed a massage therapy program with XXXX XXXX through Climb. The program documents I received prior to enrollment said the program qualified for state licensure. Upon graduation, I learned this was not true. I have spent the last few months fighting for a refund. Today I came across an article from CFPB XXXX XXXX XXXX sent to the XXXX regarding Climb and their shady business practices. This article states that Climb and their partner schools are deceptive and have a habit of the same situation I find myself involved. I have requested a refund from XXXX and Climb but I am still waiting for my funds to be given back. Climb informed me today that they have an agreement with XXXX where they pay monthly towards the outstanding accounts like mine and will disperse them in order of oldest to newest. I was previously told it would be 60-90 days from refund initiation. Finding the article today gave me a bit more hope that someone can help me. Thank you.

Good Afternoon, I am reaching out in regards to a student loan that was lended to my brother by climb credit. I am the co-signer on the account and i was not aware my brother hasn't paid the payments in several months or years. My credit score was consequently affected so I reached out to the collections agency and settled the debt in full and received the settled in full letter which i forwarded to the lender, Climb. CLimb credit still hasn't updated my credit report as it's been months. I have sent out numerous emails and letters and they reply saying it's being reviewed but no additional updates. I have disputed the matter with XXXX and XXXX also hasn't been helpful. I have sent both parties required documents and proof and neither is working with me. I am in the process of buying a home but it's on hold because of this account I was a co-signer of. I would appreciate any assistance and stand ready to re-submit any supporting documents. Thank you!

I lost my job in XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2023. Anything that has been saved up was spent on rent, car, insurance, and all other bills including my XXXX loan. I have been in contact with XXXX on the phone and Climb Investo through email and they only offered me a total of 6 months at a lower rate to delay the inevitable. When I asked for more help they told me if I can not make the payments then I WILL HAVE TO LET THE LOAN DEFAULT!! This gives lots of credibility to those who believe XXXX is trying to destroy people 's credit as they also listed on their website that even bankruptcy may not help you from their loans! Now I still have no stable income and my minimum payment to XXXX is {$1000.00} a month. I have also reached out to my school at the time, XXXX, for help all the way back in XXXX. They said they would file a case but have not given any progress updates since then.

I have made on time payments for the months of XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022 and XX/XX/2022. Climb Credit continues to report failed or missed payments for XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/2022. XXXX is now reflecting as on time but I still need XXXX, XXXX and XXXX updated. The agents I have spoken with in the past have told me to wait until the new month and all would be reported correctly but I have now waited 2 months with no resolution. I reached out to Climb Credit via their website chat and was told to open a dispute with XXXX, I created a dispute with XXXX twice and the payments are still reflecting as late for XXXX and XX/XX/2022. I am looking to buy a home soon and need this resolved as soon as possible.

Climb InvestCo was included into my XXXX XXXX bankruptcy from XX/XX/XXXX. The judge that heard my case allowed all creditors to make an appearance in my case to determine if I shouldnt be granted the bankruptcy. No creditors including Climb didnt appear or submit any objections at the hearing. The judge ruled that my case was indeed a hardship and discharged all of my debts. The Climb loan was not a federal student loan but a private loan and a federal judge has ruled that private student loans are acceptable to be included. So the attempted collection is in violation of said federal ruling of XX/XX/XXXX. Your assistance is needed to prevent the continued attempts for collection. I disputed the collection account numerous time over the past year but every few months climb gets the credit bureaus to re-list the collection account.

I am the co-signer of a loan that my husband took out. Due to XXXX, I contacted Climb XXXXXXXX XXXX to pause payments for a couple of months due to being out of work. Since reactivating the payment plan, we are unable to make payments due to an issue on their side. We have contacted them upwards of 10 times trying to resolve this issue as it is severely affecting both mine and my husbands credit, but we are constantly being told that someone will call us to follow up, and nobody does. From the information I have gathered, they have sold our loan to another company who is out of state and therefore can not legally accept payment from us. We need this issue resolved ASAP as my credit has plummeted due to their lack of help and responsibility in this situation. We owe approximately {$7000.00}.

On XX/XX/2022 I dropped classes from my school XXXX XXXX and they sent over information regarding my refund to Climb, the lender handling my loan. I have tried multiple times to contact Climb because my loan balance has not been updated and it's coming up on two months now ( ll the while I'm being charged interest on the full balance before the refund ) since the initial refund request was requested. I tried calling but when you call the number on the Climb 's website the IVR tells you to email and then disconnects the call. I emailed them several times and I keep getting a canned response saying the refund is " in process ''. I am not sure why it would take over two months to process a refund. I just want my account to reflect the correct amount owed.

Hello, On XX/XX/2023, I sent a letter of debt validation. This letter was specifically asking them to please validate the debt that I supposedly owe. Instead I have received calls and they reported supposed late payments to the credit bureaus of a debt they still have not validated.
