I applied with Clear Mortgage Capital ( XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX mortgage originator ) to refinance my home in XX/XX/2021. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was provided a favorable mortgage disclosure of loan fees and credits after lender review of my credit, debt and income. Around XX/XX/XXXX, I was prompted to promptly sign a different mortgage disclosure estimate with a {$1700.00} increased pricing adjustment. After disputing the increased fees, the Loan Officer, XXXX XXXX, justified the increase to XXXX XXXX need to subordinate the new loan because of an existing Solar Panel lien on my home. After I explained that the XXXX XXXX XXXX company confirms their willingness to subordinate their 6 year old lien and that XXXX XXXX would be in sole lien position as expected, he later responded that any subordination triggers a price adjustment increase and that I have 12 days remaining to accept or reject the loan. After applying for a straight refinance for a minor ( .46 % ) interest rate reduction, submitting all reqested personal credit and financial information, and receiving a favorable mortgage loan disclosure estimate from Clear Mortgage Capital, I was surprised and disappointed to receive a subsequent disclosure increase with no logical connection to my credit, debt and financial standing. My experience from this encounter feels like a " bait & switch encounter.

I closed my refinance with Clear Mortgage Capital in mid XXXX. The Clear Mortgage team advised me in all payments and timing and I followed their guidance. I just received a letter from my previous lender stating that my payment has been missed and will be reported on my credit. I have now found out that my previous mortgage has not yet been paid off even though I closed the refinance and paid all funds upon closing. I am being asked to pay an additional {$1000.00} in order to payoff the previous mortgage. Clear Mortgage has been very difficult to work with and communicate with once I found these issues.
