I applied for a VA loan through Clearlending and on a VA loan you can not be charged more than 2 points for loan discount fees but this company stated that due to credit score it had to charge more and charged XXXX. They are also charging Contract processing fees which are against VA loan regulations as well as survey fees and an HOA transfer fee but I do not have a home picked out yet and am looking at ones that do not have an HOA. Seller will pay closing costs but I am still being told that I will have to put money down when VA requires XXXX down from a military member. These practices are illegal by this company and they should be held accountable, regardless of credit history.
