XX/XX/XXXX Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection Washington, DC XXXX Re : Complaint against a Debt Collector Dear Sir or Madam : This letter serves as my formal complaint against the abusive debt collection practices of CIR Law Offices XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX California XXXX. In XXXX of XXXX, CIR Law Offices began the following practices in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act : ( 1 ) Refusing to send any documentation of the debt-payment agreement, and failing to send any validation of the debt or notice of my right to dispute the debt. ( 2 ) Attempting to collect a debt past the statute of limitations in my state. I understand that you can't represent me in resolving this matter ; however, I would like to report their activity so that you can take action against them if you receive numerous complaints.

On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I received a demand letter in the amount of {$2200.00} from CIR Law Offices XXXX. I am disputing this debt, because it does not belong to neither my wife or I. My wife and I will not pay a debt that does not belong to XXXX. This debt is a result of Identity theft. My Wife 's and my personal information and Identity was used with out our knowledge or consent. Further CIR , Law Offices XXXX Attorneys are failing to Identify them selves as Licensed Attorneys. Their demand letters have no BAR NUMBER identifying themselves as California licensed Attorneys. XXXX XXXX XXXX is not a licensed Attorney, and is representing himself as a Licensed Attorney and attempting to collect a fraudulent debt. NO Bar number is listed on XXXX XXXX XXXX 's demand letters who is representing himself as a licensed attorney.

Cir. Law Offices International engages in fraudulent practices. The law firm will send " notices '' to dated addresses as " proof '' of service. In addition to tacking on legal fees and filing within incorrect counties and then amending the errors such as filing dates, names, addresses AFTER a judgment has been filed with the California Courts. Consumers are not given the ability to dispute the validity of a debt prior to suffering punitive damages.

I was sued and had a wage assignment for a credit card issued by Chase that I also received a XXXX for. The debt was cancelled, I paid taxes on it and I still had the wage assignment. I paid over {$5000.00} through the wage assignment. This was done by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and CIR Law Offices. I want to recover my funds.

CIR law offices sued me for a debt incurred by someone who used my credit card. We reached a settlement agreement after I hired an attorney. CIR Law Offices has listed their address as a place where I formerly resided on my credit report. This issue comes up repeatedly and I view it as a form of harassment.
