To whoever reads this, thank your for taking the time to read my complaint. I promise not to waste your time and I will give you a too long didnt read version because I am certain that you will come to same conclusion as me when you go over my supporting documents. Late last year, I was informed by Century Credit specifically XXXX XXXX that I have dental bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with the amount of {$2000.00}. The root cause of this issue was due to my dentist lacking the info they needed to get my dental insurance to process the claim. I paid this bill on XX/XX/XXXX by check, order payable to Century Credit, and faxed to XXXX. I have proof of payment letter from Century Credit and receipt of the cashed check from my bank. While this happened I partnered up with my insurance- XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX so that they can reprocess my claim and I dont have to foot the entire bill. They agreed to pay their share of {$1300.00}, and they told me they would mail the check to my dentist on XX/XX/XXXX. I call my insurance early XX/XX/XXXX to ask if the check has been cleared or cashed out and they said it. With the payment over with, I took the next step which was to request my refund from both Century Credit and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I called them on XX/XX/XXXX. The front desk lady from my dentists office told me theyre waiting for more documents from XXXX XXXX . XXXX XXXX told me that there is a process in place and it could take up until XXXX. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX, I call both my dentist and XXXX XXXX to find out the status of my refund. XXXX XXXX tells me that she cant do anything and that its up to my dentist to do the rest of the work. Clearly this goes against what she told me on XX/XX/XXXX. On the other-hand, XXXX ( XXXX biller ) tells me that shes knows I paid and shes waiting for the collection agency to send her the necessary documents or payment. I told her that Id follow up in a couple of weeks and she was okay with that. This gave me reassurance and the belief that my dentist was willing to work with me on this issue. The next day XX/XX/XXXX, I called and spoke to XXXX XXXX to inform her what I was told by XXXX and now she repeats what she told me on XX/XX/XXXX. Before I ended the call with XXXX, I asked her a simple question - a yes or no question. Did you send the check to my dentist? She didnt give me a yes or no answer and that to me was an indication that I was getting the run around from her. I will end it here and ask you to review the supporting documents that I attached with this complaint. Every document that I have attached has been faxed and mailed to both parties. Here is breakdown of the bill/payment : Based on the EOB : Amount Billed- {$1700.00} Network Discount - {$280.00} Paid By My Dental Plan - {$1300.00} My Share - {$140.00} *My other share is the interest accrued from late payment of the bill The refund amount that Im requesting is {$1300.00}. I have a medical debt from XX/XX/XXXX,XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was told last year to make monthly pmts in office or I could not be seen by Dr. and if payments were made direct to medical office it would not get sent to collection. I continued to make pmts and it was still sent to Century Crdit Collection. Last week I was in direct contact with collections and was informed they received no payments from XXXX. I was bounced back to billing dept of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and was told by 2 supervisors they did send pmts to collection agency. Today again by XXXX as a follow up to verify how much they sent and to question how credits were allocated on pmts history. I was referred to another supervisor because they were short handed and my simple request could not be done. Furthermore last week I discovered these debts from so long should of been paid by medical or my insurance. I asked XXXX why was it not billed correctly.? Later I was told by XXXX it would be billed back with proof of med-ical being active for those dates., and if paid by insurance I would be refunded cash I paid them for old medical debts that should of been paid by insurance. Today I got no where when asking what happened to my last pmts on XX/XX/XXXX of {$75.00}.? I explained on the pmts history it does not show the full {$50.00} towards older debts. I was referred to a rude General manager of the collection agency and was told by him that no calls or any information regarding this old debt would be given to me. And not to call XXXX billing. Also he mentioned he would not give me any information of monies received by XXXX. He said it's on your credit and will continue to stay on your credit. Unless u have it paid by insurance, not once taking in account monies already received for the very same debts. When I called again the reception told me he will no longer take my calls that if I have an Attorney they need to contact him. All of this has been on my credit as negative even while XXXX took cash pmts, and debit card pmt. The general manager refused to tell me or mail me proof of pmts received from XXXX. And is demanding to collect {$1600.00} for the original balance of {$660.00} which is not reflecting the cash and debit card and check pmts made toward this at cmh. I want resolve and I want to deal directly with XXXX Billing and not collections for which it should of not been sent to while payments were still being made to XXXX. I want an accurate account of what XXXX collected as pmts for the above debts and what they reported as a final balance submitted to collections direct to collect. The collection agency is collecting a fee of {$1100.00} that has nothing to do with original debt of {$660.00} not counting pmts made to XXXX which will reflect a lower balance.I want clarification of true numbers from XXXX billing and not the inflated numbers from Century Credit Collections that is refusing to give me information of the original debts minus pmts they received from XXXX.

Today, XX/XX/2020, I received a letter from Century Credit & Collections , LLC. This is the first time I have received a letter with my daughters name attached. It states false information. I called the company and spoke to XXXX XXXX who wrote the letter, she has always been nasty and mean to me in the past so when she knows its me she automatically is rude and careless about my concerns, her tone of voice and rudeness has proven she does not like me. I explained to her this is the first time with my daughters name attached she said oh yes, you have several accounts in collections with us explaining mine and now my daughters, so she combined her bills with mine and she said the amount and I stated no my daughter has a primary insurance and secondary and I have provided anything the union has asked for, she cuts me off and stated it doesnt matter that they are a third party company and she doesnt discuss insurance I said no insurance will pay she said too bad that this will be reported and it will damage my credit report. I told her I dont care ( because Im Upset, shes always rude and mean to me always threatening me ) and I know where to file a claim and she hangs up on me. I called back requesting to speak to the manager and she said she was and I said ok well you have issues and I will need to go above her because she would not allow me to leave a complaint, and she said she doesnt care and that she will notate that on my account and hung up on me again. Back to the union, every-time I spoke to the union they said all bills have been paid. This is the first I am aware this bill went to collection ( for my daughter. ) all my daughters bills have always been covered. I have emails correspondence with the union for any documents they request in order to cover my daughter. All her other well baby check ups have been covered I dont understand why this one is now reporting incorrectly and is damaging my credit.

On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from Century Credit and Collections requesting {$260.00} from a medical bill of {$170.00}. I never received the medical bill so this is the first time I am hearing about this charge.I was moving and there was an issue with the postal service at that time. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and I spoke to possibly XXXX and asked her to drop the extra charges since I never received a medical bill and this is the first time I am hearing about charge. I told her the extra charges are unfair and she directed me back to the medical clinic. The clinic said they mailed to my new address the bill three times. Maybe its because I moved and there was an issue with my mail I did not receive any of the bills. I asked to pay the amount due and not the extra charges. The medical clinic referred me back to the Century Credit and Collections on XXXX and I spoke to XXXX XXXX. She was bargaining with me and said she can settle the account for {$230.00} when the total charges were {$260.00}. I asked her to be humane and drop the charges since I had an issue receiving mail and it was not my fault. I had all the good intentions of paying the bill. She said I have to pay the {$230.00} today or she threatened to report me and damage my credit if I do not pay. I asked her to speak to her supervisor and she refused to let me negotiate. The letter said I had 30 days to contact the agency but she was giving me only one day before she damaged my credit if I do not pay. She also refused to let me speak to supervisor and let me know my rights. She just hung up on me without trying to find a solution.

I have submitted a complaint about Century Credit and Collections before and They wrote a poorly worded response back and now CFPB won't let me answer the response. I will take this opportunity to respond to the lies Century Credit and Collections wrote about me. I will not repeat why I made a complaint but basically, they added charges that were unfair and when asked to remove those charges I was threatened with being reported to the Credit bureau. A representative from this company responded to my complaint by saying that when I called them to ask the charges be dropped I said derogatory things. This is LIE. What did I say? I would like the representative from Century Credit and Collections to please answer what I said Because I was very respectful and wanted to resolve the problem as soon as possible. This company will lie and bully you and there is no one to help. I will continue to spread the word and complain to anyone who will hear me until this bullying is stopped. The Company did in fact report me to the credit bureau to hurt me even after I paid for the debt in question.

I received the first collection statement dated XX/XX/XXXX, from Century Credit & Collections , LLC. The statement was addressed to myself and also listed my XXXX minor children. First amount requested was {$1400.00}. Total amount listed was {$1900.00} " due '' by XX/XX/XXXX. There was no breakdown of charges for either amount. I sent a response letter asking for a breakdown of charges and to advise of the XXXX minor children as they should not be listed. I received a voicemail from XXXX XXXX requesting payment and asking if what I had stated in my response letter was true. The next letter from Century Credit & Collections , LLC dated XX/XX/XXXX listed a new amount due of {$1900.00}, " due '' XX/XX/XXXX An additional letter dated XX/XX/XXXX stated that I had been given sufficient time to pay my debt and that I have ignored their attempts to collect the debt. The new amount due was {$1900.00}. This agency has been adding to the balance due approximately every XXXX weeks, with no breakdown of charges.

MONTH TO MONTH BASIS ON A MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNT FOR A HEALT CLUB, NO CONTRACT, PAY AS YOU GO. THE HEALTH CLUB FILE A DISCLOSED AMOUNT TO A CREDITOR TO COME AFTER ME. The credit collection agency Century Credit Collections on XXXX XXXX XXXX., XXXX CA XXXX will not send me a written letter showing the debt, the amounts owed, the amounts they have added in fees over the last 5-7 years. Century Credit & Collections , LLC has continued to harass and threaten me with constant telephone calls. I was threatened with credit reporting that would adversely affect my credit. I have made multiple attempts to reconcile the account with a repayment plan. Century Credit & Collections , LLC refused to accept a payment plan I could afford. As a result, I was hung up on. These kinds of strong arm tactics are unacceptable, unprofessional and create emotional distress.

The agency and XXXX XXXX has repeatedly spoof called my phone and my work phones. She does not identify herself as a bill collector or that the call is being recorded. She also does not mention that this is to collect a debt but rather first asks if shes speaking with me by name. She will also leave harassing voicemails on all phones, and in the last conversation was very harassing, unprofessional, and automatically reset the debt date.

CENTURY CREDIT & COLL is in violation of my HIPPA rights, as well this is invalidate debt. I have contract with CENTURY CREDIT & COLL. I also never authorized XXXX XXXX XXXX to release my medical information to a 3rd party collection company. CENTURY CREDIT & COLL is reporting invalidated debt. On XXXX 2022 I had spoke with my credit bureau and they explained that it was a hard inquire from XXXX XXXXXXXX on my credit report from XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXXXXXX on XX/XX/2022 to resolve the issue and also explained that I do see the inquiry.
