7 years ago as it says on my credit report ( XXXX, XXXX, ) My mother stole & used my identity yet again. This was her 3/4th time doing so ( this time with XXXX ). 1 was a check she had stolen from me & wrote to the dentist 's office. I went to XXXX because I was unaware of the check when the bank called said the sig wasn't mine. Cancel the check they said! So I did I spent 2 days in XXXX my very 1st time in XXXX because of her. I had to be transported to the county she wrote it. during the middle of a bad storm, It was 50 min away. After this, ( 2 ) she decides to get power in my name. She never paid the bill. Then she reconnected it herself. Which left me to pay her an even larger bill. I never knew she did it until the day my boss showed me a letter taking my paycheck for her almost {$1600.00} power bill They garnished my check. I'm guessing at XXXX she got a phone, cable & whatever else she wanted in my name?! Idk what all she really got? I never saw a bill for any of it nor was I ware it was in my name. I didn't know she had done this until I saw it on my credit report! ( XXXX ). I have called XXXX & their collections company many times over 7 yrs Does no good! I have disputed it through every credit agency. I have sent proof I didn't live there @ time she did this Nothing! This has stopped me & my children from living our best life more than once. I can't buy a home big enough for my family. We saved money bought a brand new camper and have been living in it for the last yr in a half. To save more money for a down payment on a home the size we need. Because I can't get approved for the home we need because of this. I cant rent a home because they see this and say no!! I can't get the new equipment my company needs for not being approved for it because of this stupid bill that isn't mine! So many times it has stopped me from growing and being able to get what I needed for my kids or business!!! And I'm sure I have paid extra for things I could get because of it!! Every time I have called both companies have been super rude and will not even hear me out before going off on me. It was set to be removed in XX/XX/XXXX now it says XX/XX/XXXX? Even after Me every month filing on this that it isn't mine. I still get turned down why???? I keep getting letters saying it's staying on there. This is my last try if they don't remove it this time I am going to get a lawyer and let the world know how bad this has been for me and my family as a single mother of XXXX children! I work very hard for what I have & pay my bills on time. Even after this is removed I will have to do the same with another account on there still because of my mother. I just feel like XXXX doesn't care about anyone or whose life they ruin they just want the money that's owned even if the wrong person pays it. XXXX has never tried to contact me or even see what was going on with it nor has the collection agency CBA of GA INC has been nothing but heartless rude. Having been cussed out by one of their male employees him saying it will never be removed. I just want it removed so that my kids can have a bigger home with room to play and so we can move past this. With it removed I will have a better chance at getting approved for the home we need with less money down meaning we can move sooner.

I retrieved a copy of my credit report and immediately noted that CBA of Georgia had inserted a derogatory entry on my credit reports and had not sent me any correspondence ( dunning letter ) prior to doing which would have granted me 30 days as required by law to dispute the validity of the alleged debt. To that end, I communicated in writing ( see attached ), to the credit bureaus regarding this inaccurate, erroneous, unverifiable entry being placed on my credit reports. The credit bureaus responded, see attached. The bureaus responded that the company verified the information as correct. How so? A third party collection company can only validate a debt. The original creditor is the only one able to verify a debt. Nonetheless, XXXX did not advise the bureaus to update the account status to disputed. This is a violation. My continued efforts to remove this entry from my reports was through with a direct dispute to the company. XXXX responded to my dispute in their letter dated XXXX ( see attached ). They explicitly acknowledged that they were in receipt of my letter of dispute and request for verification. They stated that they would advise the bureaus to update the account to disputed. How so? If they were previously aware of the dispute from the bureaus and advised the bureaus that the entry was correct, they were negligent in not advising the bureaus to update the account to disputed. As such, being in receipt and providing the requested documentation was to no avail. XXXX XXXX did not provide any documentation that bore my original signature nor did they provide or furnish an agreement reflecting their authority to collect on this alleged debt in the state of XXXX. They did not provide a complete accounting ledger of the alleged debt nor did they provide the name and address of the bonding agent in case legal action becomes necessary. ( XXXX ) blatantly violated my consumer rights and continues to do so. This alleged debt lacks veracity and verification ; further since they are violating FDCPA mandates to provide me notification prior to inserting it on my credit report and ( 2 ) failing to cease collection efforts and reporting when they received the letter of dispute. This entry should be deleted from my credit report immediately and XXXX should remunerate me for the violations.

Dear CBA OF GA INCE After viewing a copy of my credit report, I noticed a collection account placed on my credit report from you in {$490.00}. I am requesting that you allow me to validate the alleged debt. I am unaware of any outstanding medical bills that I possess, and I am seeking the name and hospital/medical provider to which I owe the debt and a detailed breakdown of the fees that I owe. Additionally, I am allowed under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ( HIPAA ) to protect my privacy and medical records from third parties. I did not give permission to any of my current or prior medical providers to release any of my medical information to a third party. I am aware that the HIPAA does allows the release of limited information about me but anything more is to only be revealed with the patients authorization. Therefore, my request is twofoldvalidation of debt and HIPAA authorization. Please provide breakdown of fees including any collection costs and medical charges. Provide a copy of my signature with the provider of service to release my medical information to you. Cease any credit bureau reporting until the debt has been validated by me. Please send this information to my address listed above and accept this letter, sent certified mail, as my formal debt validation request, which I am allowed under the FDCPA. Please note that withholding the information you received from any medical provider in an attempt to be HIPAA compliant can be a violation of the FDCPA because you will be deceiving me after my written request. I request full documentation of what you received from the provider of service in connection with this alleged debt. Additionally, any reporting of this debt to the credit bureaus prior to allowing me to validate it is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which can allow me to seek damages from a collection agency. I will await your reply with above requested proof.

They attempted to collect an amount that was not owed. I responded by explain to them the amount was paid to the original debtor and asked them to verify and send me the notice of verification. I asked them to stop trying to contact me if they did n't have the original debt amount that was owed and the date of the delinquency. I never heard from them, but instead they placed damaging information with the XXXX credit bureaus with false dates of delinquency. With XXXX credit bureau they reported that the debt with them was included in a bankruptcy. ( XXXX ) With another agency they reported it paid and closed. ( XXXX ) For over seven years they have attempted to collect an amount of XXXX that was paid with every under handed tactic that violates my FCRA rights. They also changed the delinquency date to the year 2011 and updated the reports so that they would remain with the reporting agencies longer. I was finally given this site to make a report about their actions in hopes of getting them to cease the harassment and continued defamation.

CBA of GA sent me a letter about a debt that was not mine. It was for utility services at a previous address more than a year after I had moved and purchased my current home. I sent them a dispute letter and documentation. They sent the same bill back. I called them and was told " We don't care if it's you or not it's going on your credit. '' I contacted the utility directly and provided the documentation that proved it was not my service. The utility company zero 'd the account. Not only did CBA of GA not provide the information requested and validate the date, but then they also put on my credit report across all three organizations that I had an installment account with them and owe {$0.00}. I have never had an installment account with them and obviously never owed them anything. They have refused to remove or talk to me about the account.

The company in question is CBA ( Credit Bureau Associates ) reports a medical account to all three reporting agencies without notifying me at all. my first and only correspondence from this company stated that they submitted this information to all three reporting agencies to reflect unpaid collection account on my credit file. my notification also stated that now its time for me to create a pattern of positive credit management and neglecting this issue will only encourage further actions without further notification. the nerve of them they clearly handle accounts without proper notification. All of the BBB complaints about this company say the same them which is they do n't notify you until after they reported the item to your credit. My balance should only state that I owe {$1300.00} not {$4000.00}.

The debt collector in question employed tactics that violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), engaging in practices that were abusive, deceptive, and unfair, all of which the FDCPA explicitly prohibits. They reported an account for which there was no mutual agreement or signed contract. A legal contract typically involves the consent of both parties, and I was not a participant in any such agreement. Furthermore, the debt collector failed to adhere to the proper five-step validation procedure, exacerbating the unfair nature of their practices. As per the FDCPA, I am entitled to {$1000.00} for each violation, and it is evident that my rights were violated in this case. CREDIT BUREAU ASSOC ( Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX ) XXXX {$0.00}
