We used a financial service called " Catch Benefits '', Catch Financial , Inc., found at catch.co which withholds specific amounts from the paychecks of freelancers in order to help save for retirement, healthcare, travel, etc... On XX/XX/2022, we initiated a request with Catch to close our account and specifically send us a check for the total amount in our retirement savings so that we could move it into a different retirement account. The amount we have is {$16000.00}. As of today, XX/XX/2022, we are still waiting for that check with our money. I have attached chat transcripts. At every turn, they have avoided having to give us our money back. Their app store is full of reviews along the lines of " holding our money hostage '' - others with the same complaint. According to their own website, our account should be closed and we should have immediately received a check for any remaining money in our account. Additionally, they are in violation of their terms of service ( https : //catch.co/legal/terms ) which states : " b. Your Funds and the Catch Account. Your funds will remain in your Catch Account until you instruct us to transfer any or all of your funds from your Catch Account by indicating a withdrawal within the Website or the Application. We will generally transfer the requested funds from your Catch Account to your Bank Account within three ( 3 ) Business Days of when we receive your request. We may transfer funds from your Catch Account to your Bank Account without notice to you upon the closure of your Catch Account as Described below and at any time if required by applicable law or if we, in our sole discretion, suspect the Services are being used for illicit purposes or otherwise in violation of these Terms. '' AND " f. Catch Account Closure. Upon the closure of your Catch Account for any reason, we will transfer the funds in your Catch Account, if any, to your Bank Account. If your Bank Account is closed or we are otherwise unable to transfer the funds in your Catch Account to your Bank Account, we will send you a check for the amount of the funds to you at your street address in our records. ''

I have happily been Catch Benefits app ( run by Catch Financial , Inc ) for 2 years for my tax withholding and savings, but currently it's holding my money hostage. On XX/XX/2022 I tried to withdraw money to make my quarterly tax payment and no longer had access to my own funds. ( There was some migration and now my account is showing a {$0.00} balance. ) The help desk told me since I didnt upgrade my account by the XX/XX/XXXX deadline that they would have to send me a paper check by mail. Not only did that mean missing the XX/XX/XXXX tax deadline, they also withdrew all the funds from my savings account that I had set aside for my summer vacation which is coming up in 3 weeks. My account is now emptied and still have not received a check. I am getting a different story every week from the help desk. It has now been more than 3.5 weeks and this week they are saying I have to wait ANOTHER 10 business days to pass and if I have not received my check, I will need to contact XXXX support team. I dont know who XXXX is. It just feels like they are giving me the runaround. I went online to leave a review in the app store and was disheartened to see that there are tons of reviews from customers with the same problem. The same goes for their social media accounts. Multiple stories from small business owners and freelancers whose money they have not returned! They have broken my trust and I would like this claim and this company investigated.

I have been banking with CatchXXXX off and on for the last couple of years, I logged in this month, and my balance showed as {$24.00}, and I started depositing into the account. It's an automated savings program meant for XXXX, so they automatically pulled money from my account, and now I'm being told they can't find it. Apparently my account was garnished in XXXX of 2019 by the state of California. Catch never notified me of this. In addition, it appears I'm overdrawn in the account, but they can't tell me the fees involved, or why I've overdrawn. I have over 400 dollars that I have no idea where it is. I desperately need this money, XXXX of it is from the Stimulus check

On XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to log into my account and re-link a bank with the company Catch Financial. I reached out to them to reconnect my bank and afterward it worked. Soon I attempted a withdrawal request and the bank is denying me the ability to withdraw funds from my account. I have reached out to them on XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX about this issue but they keep saying they are waiting to hear back from their partners, most likely the bank they contract with XXXX. They are not in any rush or seem concerned about me obtaining my funds.
