On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX my brother 's ex-wife, my wife, and I were contacted by XXXXXXXX Active Debt Buyer saying I had a debt owed to Boost Finance an online loan company for {$550.00}. I told XXXX and XXXX that I have never applied for a loan with Boost Finance. They proceeded to tell me that this was not their problem and that I would have to track down or file a complaint/report of Identity Theft. All the mean time they wanted to serve me papers for a fraudulent account. I spoke to XXXX several times of which she hung up on me when I begin to question here who created the debt and who they bought the debt from. She would not tell me as she only wanted to confirm my address to serve me papers. I did observe a white male on my ring camera trying to serve me documents. Fortunate for me I was not home at the time. So, over the next two days XXXX called repeatedly stating they were going to turn me over to a collection agency if I did not pay the {$550.00}. XXXX tried to get me to pay over the phone. Stated if I paid over the phone the debt would be closed and they would not contact me anymore. I final get her to tell me who they brought the debt from. XXXX XXXX XXXX where I spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX EXT : XXXX ). She told me they got the debt from Boost Finance and the Loan # XXXX was for {$400.00} created on XX/XX/XXXX, from an email of XXXX. That is my wife 's maiden name of which this email has been used several times over the past few years to open fraudulent accounts with XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, Purchase XXXX XXXX that was delivered to our house, Credit cards with XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and the list goes on. Neither may wife nor I have ever had an account with XXXX. My wife and I called her uncle in CA whose wife 's name is XXXX XXXX and we came to find out her work email account had been, and they have never had a XXXX account either. I am asking that this agency contact XXXX and have them trace, flag, the account for fraudulent activity and report the person the authorities for prosecussion. We had to contact XXXX XXXX as well. Spoke with XXXX and XXXX of which both confirmed neither my wife nor had an account with XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX did give me a Routing # XXXX and Account # XXXX. XXXX XXXX confirmed they use a nine digits routing number and that the account does not exist. XXXX XXXX to me to go to the police and file an Identity Theft Report and I did ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I called XXXX XXXX back ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and stated she would notify Boost Finance and XXXX that the account was fraudulent and not to contact my family or I again. XXXX XXXX told me to have XXXX bring documents to the police station so he could put them in the report since I have never to this day received any documents from Boost Finance about the account. Also, of not Boost Finance does report to the Credit Agencies so when I got my credit report this inquiry never showed up. My resolution is that Boost Finance be shut down or fined heavily for bad business practices and XXXX be fine for not verifying the debt they are purchasing as well as threating and harassing people and their families.

I took out a loan for {$800.00} at a ridiculously high interest rate of 647 %. My bad, but it was the only option I had at the time. I needed money fast and planned on paying off the loan very quickly. I have screen prints of my payments, and on XX/XX/2021, I thought I was making my last payment. I had my regular payment of {$230.00} come out that day. The webpage said as of that payment ( on that day ), mu balance was {$400.00}. I went online and paid that exact amount. It even said my balance was XXXX, and I was happy Inever had to deal with one of these shady lenders again. Now today ( XX/XX/2021 ), I have a mysterious {$100.00} unknowingly taken out of my account from Boost finance. I called them up and asked what that was for ... .They tell me it was to pay my loan off ... .never really explained what the remaining money was for. They tried telling me that the payment I made of {$400.00} was not the last payment and I still owed them {$100.00}. If I really did owe them that, they should have spelled it out for me clearly, because at that interest rate, I would have paid it off when I had the money 2 weeks ago. I sent them a screen shot and they then tell me they are calling me back. They call back and tell me that their IT department made a mistake!! It is always the IT department making the mistake in the end, isn't it? lol. They said I still really owe them that money ( I have not figured out if I actually did or not because I was furious with what was happening ... i do know I paid them {$370.00} in interest in 40 days on an {$800.00} loan, and that should be illiegal in itself, but I signed up for it ) ... .They then say they are going to refund me the {$100.00}, but it will not get back to me until the XXXX because that is when it posts ... This is now XXXX-5 days that they unknowingly took my money, and I now have unsufficient funds fees from my bank ( 2 of them for {$34.00} ) and I am not able to cover 2 bills, which is going to get me in trouble. I have also been getting offers since the second I paid that money off that they want to give me another loan ... because that one was paid ....

I submitted a REVOKE ACH request for my bank account and debit card in XX/XX/XXXX, the payday loan company confirmed receipt and said I would need to make other arrangements to pay the loan. I have been unable to make payments due to my spouse losing his job due to COVID. They took it upon themselves to take {$230.00} out of my account on XX/XX/XXXX via electronic check, stating that I authorized it. I NEVER authorized this and my ACH revocation is on file ( see attached ). I was also given the option to call to make payments. They are refusing to do anything about this. I will now most likely have to close my XXXX account that I have had for 10+ years. In addition, the payment agreement on the terms shows an amount due of {$230.00} for XX/XX/XXXX, not the {$230.00} that was deducted by an e-check ( that I didn't authorize ). I have reported this to XXXX and they are investigating it as well.

I received a phone call from XXXXXXXX XXXX Ph # ( XXXX ) stating I have an outstanding lean against me for a loan with Boost Finance. I have never heard of Boost Finance before. They provided me with all of my accurate SS #, Phone # and address which is really concerning to me. I was re-directed from XXXX to XXXX XXXX Ph # ( XXXX ). They stated I needed to contact XXXX to resolve this matter. XXXX XXXX did give me Boost Finance 's Ph # ( XXXX ). I then called Boost, but I am not able to get to a representative. I fear someone stole my information and took out a loan with this company fraudulently. Now I can't get ahold of anyone to get proof of signature or resolve the matter.

In XXXX I started receiving a ton of emails and calls about loans I applied for. I did not apply for any loans. XXXX informed me my info was shared on the dark web. XXXX XXXX came to my account and I return it from another company. Boost Finance claims a loan was sent to a prepaid card. I have spoken to them several times and they will not investigate their own issue of allowing scammers to apply for and receive loans on prepaid cards. I have not received any money from this company.
