I took a loan out through cashlink usa. Ran into some financial struggles and wasn't able to pay off the loan.
I did get sent to pre-legal for this loan. I worked out a payment plan with the attorney 's office - that was about a month ago.
Today, I received an email from cashlink usa with the following information : First Notice of Default and Right To Cure This email in detail is telling me that I owe Cashlink Usa for the same loan that I am in pre-legal for.
I feel that this is extremely fraudulent on their behalf. It feels as though they are double dipping on this loan. I reached out to the company who simply stated they sent this email in error.
How is that possible when my account is now in their legal department under a payment agreement.
I am beyond mad about this. I took responsibility when they sent me to legal and now they feel it is ok to go ahead and send me an email telling me I owe this to them again?
Mistake or no mistake. I feel that this is a huge violation and I want a resolution to this. I am already upset about the fact that the {$700.00} loan that I was not able to pay back is now over {$3000.00} to pay back- I get it, this is on me to borrow the funds, but then you turn around and send me an email telling me this? NOOOOOOO! Not ok with this.

I was approved for a {$600.00} installment loan. I was to make a total of XXXX payments. The interest rate on this loan is 780 %. In XX/XX/XXXX, I made the XXXX payment and had already payed {$2000.00} at this time. I called their customer service department and the lady I talked to told me if I made 1 more {$410.00} payment then the loan would be considered payed in full. I did not have that payment at the time so I defaulted. I tried calling back 3 months later and I was told that was a one time deal. I have tried working with XXXX or XXXX to put all debt together so I can pay everything off. I find out today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) that Cashlinkusa has sold my debt to a debt collector office called XXXX XXXX. ( XXXX ) XXXX. They informed me that the interest is still being added even though I have not received anything from either company. I was informed that I now owe {$4100.00}. And that's on top of the {$2000.00} I have already payed. So in total, I took out a {$600.00} loan and I am being told I have to pay a total of {$6100.00} back. I have the email from XXXX XXXX showing all this information and the original Loan agreement as well as proof I have already payed {$2000.00}.

On Tuesday, XX/XX/2022, this company contacted my employer 's human resources and they left their phone number and reference number. One of the representatives from my company email me this information on the same day. The information left was the phone number ( XXXX ) XXXX and reference number XXXX. When I called, they never said the name of the company. One the guys " Sorry, forgot the name '' says that I owe CashLink. I was coming from out of town and carrying the luggage upstairs. I called back and ask for a letter to be sent to me which they said that they couldn't. Then I was told that someone is supposed to bring me a letter. I was very confused. They wanted me to verify my social security number which I wouldn't. I called again and said that you are not supposed to contact my employment in which they said that they didn't. I advise them that I wouldn't call this number and have a reference number if they didn't. On Wednesday, XX/XX/2022, I called to get the name of this company which I was given XXXX.

I called CashLinkUsa to extend my loan for additional funds. The first person I talked to ( a male ) stated they can't give me anymore funds unless I pay it off and then they can start a new loan. He said once I pay it we can get on the phone with my bank to make sure it cleared and we can process a new loan the same day.
He transfered me to a CSR ( a woman ) and she stated that a new loan couldn't be process for 30 days. I told her the man I just spoke to said I can do it the same day. She said I can take the payment but the loan can't happen until Monday.
So I paid off the loan then I got on the phone with another loan rep ( a male ) who says now we can't do it because you paid off with the debit card and we have to wait 30 days ultimately putting me in a bind because I have to pay a bill that has to do with my internet services of which I can't work with out it. I work remotely so without internet I'm in a bad place and can't work.

My friends and family are receiving repeated phone messages from a company called XXXX. The phone number being used is XXXX XXXX XXXX. Even though I have spoken with the company in regards to the debt, they continue to leave messages on my families voicemail stating that they are location services and they are looking to provide me court documents. When I asked the company for their statistics such as their company address and website I am being denied the information. They are constantly harassing my family although they never try to call me first and have spoken with me several times. I have contacted the original creditor and they state that the company my information was given to is different than the company that is harassing me. I have asked for a verification of debt letter and I am not being provided one. I have received no mail correspondence from the company.

XX/XX/2022 I got calls and voicemail from an unknown number of XXXX XXXX from XXXX County, that was contacting me in regards to claim # XXXX XXXX county XXXX order of location, and the phone number I received was XXXX. Called began on XXXX till XXXX when I changed my number and put my old phone, house phone, and new phone on the " Do Not Call '' registry. Now on XXXX ten days later, they harassed a family member of mine from out of California with the same information regarding a claim file against me within XXXX county and a warrant for my arrest apparently. Despite I called the XXXX County 's Sherriff 's office no warrants exist for my arrest I've called on XXXX at XXXX XXXX and now again this evening on XXXX at XXXX XXXX to verify. This is a nightmare for me and my family. Please help!

Contacted me on XX/XX/2024 stated that the court office contacted them about a matter and stated that I intentionally defaulted on a loan and there was a red flag in his office stated I was irresponsible because I didnt pay the loan company back got very hostile over the phone wouldnt even tell me the company he was calling from stated he was calling on behalf of his client and I needed to pay or set up an arrangement. I received a threatening phone call from XXXX with XXXX XXXX. He claimed I wrote a check that was returned as NSF. He claimed I was on a recording denying to pay the check. Due to having identity theft, I'm requesting that all interactions and correspondence be done through postal mail and not through phone calls and email.
