I sold my home in XXXX of XXXX and moved out of my home I notified the City of XXXX XXXX XXXX department that I was moving and asked them to close my account. I gave them my new mailing address. I paid the final bill and the check payment for the final bill was cashed in XXXX of XXXX. I recently discovered that after closing the account, the City charged me {$35.00} for a " late fee '' and then subsequently charged me {$35.00} late fees because the initial and subsequent late fees were not paid increasing the balance to {$120.00} when it was referred to a collection agency doing business as " CALIFORNIA ACCTS SVC '' .in XXXX XXXX. This billing practice was and is in violation of usury laws. I was never been contacted about the first or subsequent late fees ( by either the city or the collection agency ) but the collection agency submitted the balance to XXXX, a CRA / credit reporting agency. As of XXXX XXXX, the debt collector continues to age the balance due increasing the amount owed even though the statute of limitation has passed and even though they were made aware the amount information was incorrect when I disputed the debt through XXXX XXXX dispute service. In response to my request to validate the debt, they indicated only that the debt was validated and they again increased the balance due even though the original {$35.00} late fee amount was assessed more than four years ago. The debt collector 's legal name is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX although they use an unregistered name CALIFORNIA ACCTS SVC to report incorrect information to CRAs. I was the victim of a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and was treated by the XXXX XXXX XXXX who was recommended by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX CA XXXX https : XXXX ) who sued several entities. I signed settlement documents per his request that came with a promise to pay medical providers and me. This was in 2014, yet a derogatory collection still remains on my credit report XXXX years after the fact. The provider and collection agency when contacted said " Your XXXXr said he paid you all the money, that you disappeared and has no money to settle this debt! '' I have repeatedly informed the provider and the XXXX that this collection on my credit needs to be removed and yet despite multiple complaints including the credit agencies I am still been punished because a XXXX and or creditor has fraudulently absconded with insurance money, I say this under penalty of perjury and prepared to restate the same in a court of law. Even if I paid off the debt ( Double jeopardy ) I still lose after already paying higher interest and having banks and financial institutions refuse to loan me any money. As a XXXX veteran someone has to care, this creditor and XXXX both are fully aware that I have never received even a dime. The XXXX says he never told the creditor I had absconded with the settlement cash. " He said she said '' with me in the middle getting screwed. The XXXX has admitted to me that he never paid anyone and still has the cash yet as yet nothing has been done to clear my name. Are XXXX allowed to do this? I have been damaged through no fault of my own yet neither XXXX or XXXX despite complaints will remove the derogatory remark from my credit report?

I contacted the credit reporting company XXXX and XXXX that I had contested California account services collection service account listed as a negative on my report. I contacted the collections, they sent me a packet of nothing but bills. As suspected there was no proof other than a stack of bills. With XXXX a name on them no ID, No passport and no proof. As I had suspected.., it was not my account. I contacted XXXX and XXXX on XXXX and initiated a dispite XXXX quickly removed the account from my credit report!. XXXX is l still in process. California account services posted account to my credit as well as others damaging my credit as a result I loss my job of 24 years have no car to get to a job. Of equal pay and career level of XXXX. After winning at XXXX I received a poorly printed letter in the mail telling me they had raised amount due from? XXXX to XXXX over night. These people need to be reminded that they are trying to collect account from the wrong person and XXXX needs to follow and remove this account, As well. It is not ok to ruine some ones life on a bunch of bills with out any proper photo id on file, no copies of any ID. Just a stack of bills with names printed on them. I 'm sure the hospital treated Some one, but it was not me. Please remove from XXXX and provide documentation that the account ca n't be collected on in the future by being sold so when it appears again I have solid proof that it has to be removed

California Accounts Service has been attempting to collect money from me for medical debt I dont owe. The balances were supposed to be paid by primary and secondary insurance and the bills specified not to bill me if services were not covered by insurance. Primary insurance claim was denied. I didnt receive payment from insurance but California Accounts Service claims I did. Creditor refused to provide documentation for over 4 years but continued to report additional fees to credit bureaus each month. They claim that they did not contact me because they believed I was filing for bankruptcy. This is false- no bankruptcy action was filed and I did not consult with an attorney. After filling additional complaints against the debt collector, they mailed me a statement. The statement shows no billing was generated between XXXX while fees were assessed. An explanation of the fee schedule was never provided, a right to dispute was never provided and the statement they mailed out to me shows multiple HIPAA violations including personal information, treatment codes, insurance details and additional confidential information. All reporting by California Accounts Service must be deleted from my credit for fraudulent reporting, breach of duty and causing multiple data breaches of my confidential information over the past 4 years

It appears that my credit/my file/my credit file has been compromised. Again, I was going through my records & noticed many information, accounts or items which do not belong to me. Since Im a stickler for research, I found that under section 605b of the FCRA you are required by law to remove & block any accounts or information which is found to be opened due to identity theft. The dispute items do not belong to me. Im attaching the required FTC Report for you and the bank 's records ( learned through more research both parties require ). Please block/remove this files. California Account Services has been trying to collect alleged medical debt from me since XXXX for multiple accounts and there are still XXXX remaining on my credit report. Notification was never provided in accordance with state and federal laws. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Collection Agency Accounts can only remain on a persons credit file for 7 years from the date of first delinquency. Although California Account Services purchased the collection accounts in XXXX, they are both too old to remain on my credit report. In my opinion, this company is sending collection letters with threatening language claiming a negative credit reporting 'will ' remain on credit records for several years. The letter also generated a false sense of urgency like the sentence : Warning! This matter is very important to you and to your credit report. This is the text for a medical debt collection, the language could have been more emphatic. Full disclosure : The concerned debt didn't exist at first place ( false reporting to original creditor ) so no debt resolution or contact with collector was required. There is also a potential debt trap as they are asking for credit card details to repay the debt. Its potential because it is not clear if in the letter they are referring to VISA, Master Card etc for debit card or credit card is also accepted In my case this was an erroneous reporting but it hurts to learn that many other less fortunate who are already suffering are getting similar harsh and potentially misleading communication.

I am extremely disappointed with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Over 6 years ago I had work done at with XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX. They always told me they would work with my insurance company on payments. After 8 months they sent me the first invoice, a past due bill and threatened to send me to collections. I worked hard to settle with them even up 1.5 years after the work was completed. They stopped communicating with me and now after 5 years they sent me to a collection agency for twice the amount. I called the collection agency to try and settle again and was told that XXXX XXXX did not want to settle and instead instructed the credit collections company to report it as a collection account to the credit bureaus. They wanted to have my credit score damaged. I do n't think this is any way to run a business. I offered to settle and they have decided to be spiteful instead and damage my credit.

California Account Services has been reported medical debt for medical treatment from XXXX. They refused to provide a statement or information about the debt after I found their information while reviewing my credit report. I filed another complaint against them earlier in XXXX and they finally sent me copies of the statements with a handwritten note saying they were sending it in response to my complaint. I have not been given any notices and have not been contacted by phone or email since XXXX. After reviewing the records they sent I became aware that my primary and secondary insurance was never billed even though I had provided the information to them in XXXX. They are charging fees but refused to provide any details about the amounts.

I have always made my payments on time. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. CAS had been trying to collect a utility bill that was discharged in bankruptcy. After numerous calls I finally mailed CAS written response in 2014 and the calls and letters stopped. 2 years later they report a collection to credit bureau and without written notice. I only find out during a family move and finance transaction - which adversely affect my moving and financing ability. CAS has not accepted any responsibility or demonstrated any willingness to resolve, correct or remove reporting. They will remove report if I pay them or prove to them that they made a mistake

I have tried to get information to verify this debt is valid. No one has any information to explain this amount. Evidently, the original debt was allegedly owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX? I have not received any notices of this bill & have not received any attempt to collect this amount! And, I have no information to resolve this issue. It is so frustrating since I have tried to get an excellent credit score. Please help!! Thanks,

CA Account Service was removed from my XXXX credit file in XX/XX/XXXX. When checking my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX I noticed that CA Account Service was added back to my credit file. I have not received any notification from CA Account Service or from XXXX regarding the account, amount owed, date opened, any documentation that I owe an outstanding balance or that this account would be added back to my credit file.

California Account Services is reporting a debt on my credit that i do not owe.I recently checked my credit report and noticed this debt. I paid this account directly to the hospital and there was no balance remaining. This should have never gone to collection because it was never a collection. This is erroneous.
