I received a call on XX/XX/XXXX for th e first time from an " XXXX XXXX '' who states he represent s Bowen and Associates ( XXXX ) stating my husbands company owes his client {$5300.00}, very antagonistic, making personal attacks, would not answer any of my questions explained to him I didnt have anything to do with the company and asked if he had called my husband. I thought it was a scam.Then he called my work number and did the same thing on my work number ( I work at an XXXX XXXX ). Since my husband nor I knew anything about this debt ( it seems to be related to my deceased father in laws XXXX that my husband took over ), we started looking into it. XXXX XXXX called my XXXX s tating he was coming to serve me papers ( he is located in Tx and not Ga ) and told her information about the debt. He also told me he would be coming to my house to take pictures of it and to my work. He was instructed not to come to either location. He was also instructed not to call my work number. Hes continued to call and leave harassing messages on both my husbands and my cell numbers and my work number ( I have recordings of the antagonistic and degrading calls ) Last night he called the XXXX late in the evening and my XXXX answered and he represented himself saying that I had " hit his truck last week and owed him money '', my husband is looking into the debt with the actual company he states we owe it to and is working to make arrangements ( even though it was a debt related to his dads estate and when he was running the company ) and has informed XXXX XXXX of this and asked him to stop calling, I 've called and made a police report as requested by my XXXX /employer because they are concerned about the calls and him stating he is going to come to the XXXX . I have limited knowledge about the company, my husband has only acquired partial ownership since his fathers death and only owns XXXX XXXX of it ( and, it was a ctually only XXXX up until last month ) - we are working to resolve this with the company we owe the debt to but it will most likely be over time.

XXXX XXXX, through Bowen and associates in Texas, is attempting to collect a debt on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX in Florida. This is a debt for which I have no responsibility. XXXX XXXX is trying to collect money for extra work he did that was never contracted. His contract even states extra work will only be executed upon written agreement and will then be an extra cost over and above the contract price. There is no written agreement for this extra work. My contract was paid in full upon the completion of XXXX XXXX job. XXXX XXXX is attempting to collect more than double what XXXX XXXX originally tried to collect without a contract. XXXX XXXX threatened to report this to the credit bureaus. He also told me he could file a lien against my property and that even the previous owners could be affected by this lien. This was a lie or perhaps ignorance because the lien, a mechanics lien, has to be filed within 90 days of completion of the job and he has to show breach of contract. There is no contract and it had been more than 90 days upon his first contact with me. He also failed to tell me verbally that I can dispute this debt and I never received a written validation letter for the debt. That was a violation of the FDCPA.

XXXX with Bowen & Associates ( XXXX ) has called multiple times to all the phone numbers under my phone line looking for someone who is not me and has also text a phone number under my phone line during his collection practices. He has threatened legal action, is abusive in language and when asked to not call again, stated he does not have to comply and will continue to call me. He advised he does not need to comply with a verbal cease. XXXX also admitted to why he was calling which is a direct violation of the FDCPA while doing skip tracing. He has violated multiple FDCPA regulations with his harassing and abusive collection tactics that are clearly not working in his favor.

I had been emailing the collector and informed him that I was not responsible for the debt because management of the company had been changed and I gave them the name of the person who was.
This debt collector used my sons phone number to call me with. My son, who is stationed in the XXXX XXXX and I hadnt talked to in a very long time and it was his birthday. So I thought my son got the chance to call me and it was the collector. He proceeded to be very insulting and I finally had to hang up with him. He called me names and was abusive.

XXXX XXXX XXXX of Bowen & Associates has called me several times on my cell phone and left voice mails, including to send someone to our home. I am a XXXX. The phone is listed in my name and the voice mails are addressed and intended for me. XXXX XXXX claims our family owed his client monies yet we have confirmed that the alleged, unverified amount is perhaps owed by my father 's employer. Our family does not have any ownership in that company.

I owed money to a roofing company. The roofing company turned the debt over to Bowen and Associates collection agency. Bowen and Associates called me to collect the debt. I gave them a check over the phone and paid the full amount. Bowen and Associates never paid the money to the roofing company. Now the roofing company has sent me a demand letter for the money and threatened to sue me. The debt was paid but Bowen and Associates stole my money.
