I am writing this complaint to report Bova Financial Company that does business out of California. In XX/XX/XXXX I called to get a modification loan. I talked to XXXX XXXX ( the owner ) and had told her that we would probably not qualify due to our income, but she reassured me that she could help. The amount they wanted was {$5000.00} to work on the loan. I was very hesitant to pay upfront, but she said it was a win/win situation. I would get the money back in full if we did not like the offer. All we wanted was a lower interest rate and a lower payment. Trusting them, we sent in the money. I was working with XXXX XXXX to whom only worked with me for a month. I had sent all important documents via email and did not hear from them for quite a while. Then i got a guy named XXXX XXXX working on it for a very short time. I told XXXX this was taking too long for a loan. Then another lady, XXXX XXXX, worked with me for about six months. Throughout all these agents I sepecifically said I did not want the amount of years to change on this loan and that i wanted the original loan, a lower mortgage payment, and a lower interest rate. All this time XXXX XXXX XXXX was calling me daily and XXXX told me NOT to talk to them and that Bova was taking care of it. In all this wasted, stressful time XXXX offered me a 4 month trial period of which XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX told me that this was my original loan that I owed 15 more years on and that it was 2 %. We agreed to the trial period thinking it was 2 %. When the trial was over, unbeknown to us, XX/XX/XXXX, the loan mod was a 40 year loan without a change on the mortgage interest. After all of this, I had continually asked for my money back. Then XXXX assigned XXXX to do a refinance. She did not last long. XXXX then refered me to a refinance company, XXXX. I could have already refinanced 2 years ago. It has been a nightmare to say the least, XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXXand still not good offers. We are angry and we trusted the wrong company.
