On XX/XX/2020, I received a phone call from XXXX XXXX. I did not recognize the number and was wondering who would be calling me from the XXXX area. I let it go to voicemail, and this is what the message said : " Hello, this message is for XXXX XXXX. My name is XXXX XXXX calling on behalf of claims in regards to a neglected complaint that's in process of being filed against your name as well as you social ending ( stated last 4 of my ssn ). Failure to respond to this message by today gives us the legal right to move forward to get you in your jurisdiction. I can be reached at XXXX XXXX, extension XXXX. '' As of today, no legal action has been taken. I did not expect that it would since this company is bogus. I was able to find the name. I did not call back because the XXXX has been linked to scams. It is not assigned to any particular region. I know this company is a fraud and went to great lengths to try to intimidate me into compliance. The message all but threatened that they would " get me ''. Please put these people out of business!

This company has called me on several different occasions but today ( XX/XX/29 at XXXX CST ) they called a family member trying to find me. I decided to give this company a call to see why they were trying to reach me. I reached them at XXXX CST, this person did not identify as a debt collector, did not advise me that the call was being recorded, and did not verify who I was. They let me know that they are collecting on a loan that I took out a couple of years ago and will garnish my wages. I stopped them and let them know that they were not licensed to collect in TX or that TX does not garnish wages for regular debt. We argued over this until he hung up.

I received a voicemail on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX. My ex husband also received calls Friday and today, XX/XX/XXXX. The company, Boone and associates stated to me ex husband that they were going to sue me for an online loan taken out in XXXX. I left them a voicemail today telling them that I did not take out an online loan. I called back after my ex husband stated they contacted him again. I asked that they cease and desist in contacting anyone via telephone and told them via voicemail that I never received info about this debt via a validation letter and to send one. I also informed them that I had fraud happen during the timeframe of XXXX.

I received several calls on XXXX to my cell phone from a company called Boone and Associates claiming to be a debt collector for a debt that my husband allegedly owed. After talking to my husband, I realized that the debt was not actually due. However the company continued to call with claims that it would result in " further processing without ( his ) knowledge '' and they would garnish his wages if he did not make payment within two days of the call.
( 1 ) The debt was not his ( 2 ) It is illegal to garnish wages for the kind of debt they mentioned in the state of Texas.

XX/XX/2020 - Called my parents both at home and my mother 's place of employment. Threatened to sue me and take me to court, file garnishes against Social Security, etc. if a return call was not immediately made. They claim to have papers ready to file in reference to an outstanding loan.
