I was contacted by BHA the purchaser of a debt from XXXX XXXX. We are happy to pay the matter. They sent an email with a link that is requesting far more information than the credit card. I advised the company the link was not working and then was told it would be fixed in a week. As of yesterday, I started to be called a harassed by XXXX and XXXX regarding teh very matter indicating the only way to pay is I must provide all my personal information. As I advised them I am happy to pay the matter at the specified amount of XXXX in receiving that I would be given a settled in full letter. They insisted they needed all my information and kept calling me while I was at work. This morning call took the cake I called to try to get some real details and then was asked really sketchy questions. What do I do for work. Why do I do that work etc. CFPB can you contact this company have them to be forth right with providing the proper tools to care for this matter. I returned a voicemail and spoke with a representative who wouldn't give straight answers to clarify their remarks and comments. Repeatedly throughout the call the representative made comments about the debit they were collecting on as " statute of limitations expiring today, '' " file leaving the floor, '' but also " pay the debt today. '' Which further confused me, how is a debt due for collection if statute of limitations are expiring? I'd also disclosed that I'd previously had to dispute a debt with a company several years ago because there were not one but two store credit accounts open in my name, one was valid and I maintained it until paid, but the other was not? Instead, the collector continued to repeat the same few phrases about the file leaving collections ( which is strange because then why are you calling ), statue of limitations ending and this being out of his hands, but when I asked for the collector to send information they then took offense and claimed they were confused. I do think the representative was trying to deceive me by speaking quickly and using legal jargon to intimidate me into agreeing to pay a debt that I've disputed. It's unfair that these people call and use these tactics without furnishing hard copy details. What I received was a demand letter for payment to them, a company I've never worked with, not information regarding a legal agreement or contract or statements of the account in question. It just doesn't make sense. In a world where credit is better than cash, personal data is assessed currency value, and data breaches means consumers are left easily accessible for fraud, this entire contact is untrustworthy. In this world, I could easily send a thousand people letters implying I was representing a company they owed and demanded payment or they would face legal action, someone would eventually send me payment out of fear with no question of validation. That's not right and it's not fair, I'm tired of individuals being taken advantage of.

My elderly father received a call in reference to someone looking for me in reference to the collection of a debt. I called the number ( XXXX ) XXXX. This number was for a company called BHA Services in XXXX. I spoke to " XXXX XXXX '' who was attempting to collect a debt from XXXX from something I am not aware of. I told him that if it was a XXXX XXXX XXXX debt, I had a bankruptcy in XXXX. I then told him that my credit is perfect and I owed no one anything and not to call me again. XXXX XXXX has since called my cell phone multiple times. He is now calling and harassing my work number repeatedly. I checked with my XXXX XXXX and they advise that all credit agencies report that my credit is excellent and that there are no delinquent nor unpaid accounts. I do not know what kind of scam this company or individual is attempting I take my accounts seriously and am tired of being harassed by this person. If I can not resolve this issue via your complaint services, my only option to end this relentless persecution will be to contact an attorney and pursue legal action. I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX and have consulted my agencies white collar crimes who told me to begin documenting the dates and times of each call in order to provide documentation to my attorney to show a pattern of abusive behavior.

Thank you in advance. http : //www.bhabillpay.com XXXX XXXX This is an attempt to collect a debt. Thank you. I have no idea who this is, there is no opt out option, this was the message in its entirety, the grammar and punctuation is very suspicious, and I am current on all of my bills. This has to be a scam, please look into this matter I was not sure who this was and it scared me as I was waking up so I clicked the link. Something I normally would not do but I did.

This company is calling me, my family members, and in-laws in regards to a debt that I dont believe I have. They only use my maiden name, and Ive been married almost 20 years and have used my married name since. Ive recently had my identity stolen by ppl who opened checking accounts in my maiden name. I do not know if this group is even a legitimate company, because it sounds very much like a scam. I do not know how they have family members names and numbers, but I know I was a part of a data breach for XXXX. They may have gotten these records from my emergency contacts. My social security number was compromised in at least one data breach, because one of the banks stated that it was used when opening an account.

On XX/XX/23 I received a text message from phone number XXXX. The message indicated XXXX XXXX from BHA Services was contacting me about a debt. I texted back with a message not to text my number anymore. The person texted back and asked if they were speaking to XXXX XXXX. I texted back and stated again not to text my phone number and the next time I would file an official complaint. The person texted back again and asked if they were speaking to XXXX XXXX. I texted back to let the person know I'd now be filing a complaint. The person texted me back again and asked if they were speaking to XXXX XXXX. I attached a screenshot of the conversation.

www.bhabillpay.com XXXX sent me a text trying to collect a debt from XXXX for a company called XXXX XXXX I was discharged of all debts under chapter XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, when I explained this to the caller he began to argue with me that he needed my attorney and his phone number, I told him he was violating the federal bankruptcy laws by trying to collect a discharged debt, he kept asking for my attorney which is irrelevant considering my attorney is no longer under retainer. I ended the call as the gentleman who had a thick foreign accent was not listening.

I took out a payday loan with XXXX almost 10 years ago and it fell into collections. I settled the debt with a third party over 5 years ago and the ghost debt has been passed around to various shady debt collection businesses using illegal collection practices ever since. Even if the debt was still owed it is outside the statute of limitations for collections. Myself and several people connected to me received harassing text messages this morning from XXXX from BHA Services ( XXXX ) trying to collect this unowed debt. This needs to stop!

Hello, BHA services is trying to collect a debt from MA from XX/XX/2001 20 years and 11 months ago. The court record does not even have them as the plaintiff 1st off I was never notified of this judgment as it states 2nd this " judgement '' is more than 20 years. This was disposed on XX/XX/2001 - MA law can not collected after 20 years 3rd they state I owe {$5000.00} - Hmm NO 4th they refused to provide any sort of proof They lied about the amount, stated time frame does not matter and tried to force me to send them money.

BHA Services calls numerous times daily using untraceable spoof numbers. In addition to the hundreds of calls they text and leave voice messages. The person who usually calls is named XXXX ; another caller said " This is XXXX. They always call from different phone numbers located in various states. One recent call on XX/XX/2021 was received at XXXX XXXX from XXXX ( not a real # ) XXXX XXXX left a message to call him at XXXX. This is not the first call received from him before XXXX XXXX or after XXXX XXXX.

I had a vehicle repossessed in XXXX, it was included in a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX which was finalized in XXXX. I have asked, and then told them to quit calling me and now they are calling my ex wife and other family members. BHA collections agency, what a bunch of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They bought this debt from someone not knowing it was included in a BK but they won't leave us alone.

BHA Services sent a text message to my personal cell phone trying to collect a debt from my deceased mother. She has been dead for XXXX years. I personally paid all of my mother 's outstanding debts through CA probate process. This company should be severely fined for their disgusting, deceitful, illegal trade!
