On XX/XX/2015- contacted BC services regarding a garnishment for my wife XXXX XXXX . I asked if I could either make an offer to settle or payment arrangement on the Garnishment as well as the other medical accounts in their office. Per XXXX ( agent ) was advised that I could, I would just need to set up payment arrangement via direct Debit etc. advised no problem I would call her back once I could set that up. Within that time, two payments had been taken for the Garnishment {$260.00} XX/XX/XXXX and {$310.00} XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I called and asked to speak with XXXX, she was not available. Spoke with XXXX advised of my intent to set up PTP and to have remaining amount of garnishment stopped. She said no problem. Based on the notes that XXXX had put on. She would be able to, however needed to know the amount that was paid on the garnishments so she could deduct the correct amount. She would also need the fax number to submit the release of the garnishment to my wife 's payroll. Advised I would check and call her back. On XX/XX/XXXX I called back and spoke to XXXX to give amount paid on garnishments and to have the garnishment stopped and set up a payment arrangement to be deducted from account. XXXX put me on hold and originally said they could not stop the garnishment. Then she came back on and said that she would honor the removal due to the fact that XXXX and XXXX both advised they would and was documented in the account. At that point she advised they only showed one payment posted ( from the garnishment and I needed to be for certain the dates the payments were taken before they could set up. Advised I would need to check with my wife and would call back. Was able to find out exact dates and amounts. Then called back XX/XX/XXXX ( was not able to capture the agents Name ) she argued and said she would not honor what I had been told on the last three calls. Those agents were wrong and may have been confused. She advised that she could not accept any payment arrangement on the Garnishment unless it 's a paid in full via check or cc over the phone. We went back and forth of what I show was paid via Garnishment, she claimed they got less than what was actually taken from my wife 's pay. She gave the impression that ( my wife 's company may have messed up ) but they show a lessor amount paid. She advised of fees and interest added to the balance. Again I asked for clarification ( are you not honoring ) my previous conversations. She said no, she would not. I then advised her that based on their information to me, they record all of their calls and that she needed to have the last few calls pulled and asked for a manager to call me back. XX/XX/XXXX received a voicemail from XXXX to call back. XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX back and spoke for about 20 minutes. He advised that he listened to the calls and that they would not accept a payment arrangement to stop the garnishment even though that is what his agents advised me. I asked why they would not honor, he advised it was his office policy. Would not elaborate. We then went over the fact that more than likely another deduction it would n't happen anyway??? He gave me the impression that no matter what it would not be stopped. I then asked to set up a payment arrangements on the other accounts that are not in legal status. He asked what I could pay, I advised I would be able to set up a direct pay arrangement of {$50.00} by-weekly, based on pay periods. He said he could not accept this amount, he advised he would need at least {$650.00} per month. I advised there is no way I could pay that, I am being honest on what I can pay. I do n't want to give them an amount that I know I can not pay. He then said he could go as low as {$350.00} per month. I again advised I could not do that, I advised I can do the {$50.00} by weekly which would be $ XXXX {$150.00} based on the number of weeks per month. XXXX

BC SERVICES INC has placed two collections on my credit report illegally. I have notified them in the past to send me an written, signed agreement showing that I owe them a debt that they are trying collect on from XXXX XXXX XXXX with a partial account number of XXXX. When I called XXXX they said they could not locate an account with that number in their system. I also notified XXXX XXXX XXXX that I do not remember signing any HIPAA release that said that i give them permission to share any portion of my medical file with anyone other than me or my husband. This collection agency has violated the FDCRA as well as HIPAA for having access to any portion of my my medical records to include, Name, Address, Social Security as well as any amount that is reflective of any care. this is a very serious situation and I have retained an attorney in XXXX to look into this. They suggested that I reach out first to see if this collection company wants to remove the items from my credit reports, if not I am fully prepared to take this to court and protect my rights under Federal Law. The total for this debt is XXXX and I do not owe the collection company anything as I do not have a written agreement with them. They are also reporting another collection for XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account # XXXX. Once again no HIPAA release was signed to give this practice the right to send any portion of my medical bill or records to a 3rd party company. This is again a serious HIPAA violation and I am fully prepared to protect my rights under the law. The reporting of this on my credit report without giving me proper notice in writing is a serious violation of the FDCRA and I will be enforcing this by asking the State Attorney Generals office to investigate this collection company for illegally reporting something to the credit bureaus and not sending proper documentation to challenge this. I am demanding that this company send me verification of debt. The FTC has already ruled that simply sending an itemized bill or statement does not meet the federal guidelines. Also if they do have an itemized bill or statement containing my personal info this would support a HIPAA violation. If i take this to court the penalty under law is {$1000.00} fine per violation in this case 2 collections being illegally reported, to all 3 bureaus for a total of XXXX in fines. Also I am requesting a signed, wet signature contract showing that I have an obligation to pay this 3rd party collection company. If this company can not provide legit, verification, NOT A BILL or STATEMENT, showing that I owe them this then I am requesting that the CFPB investigate them for illegally trying to collect on this debt and illegally reporting this to the credit bureaus. Lastly this compliant is with the collection company and not the bureaus. So any attempt to further communicate with the bureaus ( other than removing the two collections ) will be another violation of the FDCRA and I will ask that another full investigation be opened into this violation. Since there are major violations here, I am Demanding that the law be followed and these two accounts be removed. Any attempt to refresh the date of last activity to further gain financial exposure to me will be considered another violation of the law.

I am filing this complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ), to report a Colorado business that is violating Federal and State Laws. The company is BC Services Inc, they are located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CO XXXX. They are in violation of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). This complaint is not only to have the CFPB investigate my complaint, but to further investigate BC Services on behalf of all Colorado residents who have been victims of their unlawful business practices. Here are main facts of my complaint in order of occurrence : 1. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TX XXXX. This letter was to inform me that 1 potentially negative item ( s ) were added to my credit report. ( Exhibit A ) 2. On XX/XX/XXXX, I accessed my credit report online per instructions in the letter ( item 1 ) at XXXX ( Exhibit B ). This credit report contained 1 potentially negative item, a Collection Account, the details of the item are : a. Account Name : BC Services b. Account Number : XXXX c. Recent balance : {$1500.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX d. Date opened : XX/XX/XXXX 3. I was in shocked at this Collection Account, as I have never done business with nor spoken to any representatives of this company BC Services. Nor was I ever notified ( to this date ) that BC Services placed a Collection Account on my credit report. This is in violation of the FDCPA and the FCRA. 4. On XX/XX/XXXX, Per item 3, I sent a letter to BC Services, Certified with Return Receipt, notifying them that they are in violation of the FDCPA and the FCRA ( Exhibit C ). The letter specifically contained these statements : a. Since I am disputing this debt, until it is validated, your information concerning this debt is considered inaccurate, and if you have already reported this debt to any credit reporting agency or credit bureau then you must immediately inform them of my dispute b. Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act 1681s-2. 5. On XX/XX/XXXX, the date of me filing this complaint, I again checked my credit report and confirmed that the Collection Account from BC Services remains on my credit report with an additional month reported. In Conclusion, As we know, our Credit Scores affect multiple critical aspects of our lives as credit scores are used for many important life necessities, such as : Access to credit to purchase a house or a car, auto insurance premiums, employment opportunities in most states. This list goes on and on. By allowing this company, BC Services, to continue their unlawful business practices, we are hurting all Coloradans due to the negative impacts that their practices have on our states Rules of Law. If you do a simple internet search with BC Services XXXX CO you will see page after page of complaints of wrong doing from other Colorado residents. I request that CFPB investigate BC Services and stop this company from committing crimes in our state. I believe the right thing to do is revoke their license to do business in the State of Colorado. Sincerely, XXXX Exhibits to be provided upon request.

In XX/XX/XXXX, my then XXXX son was XXXX. I called the police and they made the decision to take my son to XXXX XXXX here in XXXX, Colorado. I was instructed to follow the police to the hospital. I had my son 's insurance card with his father 's information listed on the card and in the XXXX XXXX data base. I checked my son into the ER ward and gave all of the responsible party information along with the XXXX XXXX XXXX health insurance card to the admittance department. Some weeks went by when I got a bill from XXXX XXXX for approximately {$3000.00}. No itemization, and no way for me to contact the insurance carrier about what they paid for since I was not the insurance provider -- my son 's father was and still is. The insurance carrier refused to communicate with me for obvious reasons. It 's not my insurance. I have never had any idea what the full amount of my son 's night stay at the hospital was. ( By way of a court order, my son 's father had to maintain health insurance and was solely responsible for all medical expenses -- until the age of majority. That court order was entered into and signed by a XXXX District County judge in XX/XX/XXXX. With no subsequent modifications since the original separation agreement was contractual in nature. ) XXXX XXXX refused to allow me to send them a copy of our separation agreement -- stating they would not acknowledge receipt of any documentation from me. They also refused to contact my son 's father -- the insurance provider -- even though at the time of admitting my son I gave them all of his father 's contact information. The insurance carrier, XXXX XXXX XXXX, never sent any statement/bill to me or my son 's father. Nothing. Just a " pay up or else '' from XXXX XXXX. I did send them a copy of the separation agreement and all contact information for my son 's father. His full name, address, social security number and DOB. I fought with the hospital for the entire summer. XXXX then sent the account to BC Services , Inc. -- a medical collection company. They also refused to allow me to submit any documentation to demonstrate that I was not the responsible party. They stated that because I was at the hospital and provided a medical insurance card, I 'm the responsible party. Under the circumstances -- with my son 's severe emotional issues -- I was under extreme duress. I believe I was taken advantage of. Since my son 's father is a well-known local attorney, I do n't think XXXX XXXX or BC Services , Inc. wanted to deal with him. I have been battling this debt for over three years. BC Services , Inc, does not have my social security number or my DOB. XXXX XXXX does have my former husband 's information -- it 's listed on his insurance card and with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have experienced being turned down for credit as a result of this large medical collection. I 've also been charged higher interest rates when credit has been extended to me for necessities such as a car loan. I have lived in fear that a judgment will be obtained and my wages will be garnished ; that I will experience a process server at my home or place of employment.

This goes back years and there are many bad debt collection practices they have tried to use. In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX I was served a summons for debt. I did not know what this was for. I went to court on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. The judge advised I contact the debt collector BC Services to resolve the issue. I contacted them the same day. I was told this was for medical debt and had assumed it was from after I had given birth in XXXX XXXX. At this time I told them I was not working so I could not set up a payment plan as I had no income or money to give them. I asked multiple times if there would be a judgement against me they assured me there would not be. I asked if I needed to contact their lawyer to make sure there wouldn't be a judgement they told me no they would take care of it and that there would be no judgment against me. Then in XXXX XXXX I received notice there indeed was judgment. So they lied to me. I called them immediately and asked them to fix this and they refused. I told them I would pay nothing since they were using false debt collection practices. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX my work notifies of a garnishment from them. They can't collect because at the time I'm making minimum wage. My boss wants to encourage me to make a payment plan so they can give me a raise. I'm still skeptical because this company has already lied to me before. My boss insists. I call BC Services and request more information on the debt because it has never been verified as mine and set up a payment plan so I would not garnished. Well all they ever sent me was an invoice type paper. Still did not verify the debt was mine. In XXXX XXXX I called again to get verification again and asked specifically for proof this debt is mine. Paper work with my signature showing I agreed to pay any bills for what they say is my debt. They were hostile on the phone and said well its your name. That doesn't prove it is my debt. They once again send me just an invoice type paper with no proof but they did prove it is not my debt. On the paper it says the account is for an XXXX XXXX. My name is not and has never been XXXX XXXX. So why they are trying to extort me for money for debt that is not mine but somehow has someone else 's name on the account. They have no proof the debt is mine and will not send any valid proof it is mine. Was I nave and set up a payment plan yes I was because they wouldn't work with me and provide the information to me. They had the upper hand though because they got a false judgment against which allowed them to garnish my wages if I did not make payments. It is illegal what they did and they are required to prove the debt is mine. Instead they sent me a paper that proves it is not mine.

XXXX keeps sending a balance to a collection agency, but insurance already paid it. This has gone on since XX/XX/XXXX. A year later, XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a grievance with our XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX complaining about this on-going issue ( 2 yrs now ), in which the insurance company wrote back on XX/XX/XXXX stating the collection agency would be notified and all would be handled. However, XX/XX/XXXX we received yet another collection bill for {$520.00}. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX and spoke with XXXX, a representative. She spoke with the collection agency that this matter was already resolved. They instructed her to call XXXX because that 's who 's submitting the information for collection. XXXX spoke with XXXX at XXXX while I was on the line. After " investigating '' everything for almost an hour, XXXX had all the necessary paperwork showing the insurance took care of it so this issue should 've been resolved and that XXXX, my husband XXXX XXXX, should never receive a bill because of the type of coverage we have. XXXX assured us that this was handled. However, in XXXX XXXX we received yet another collection bill for {$250.00} with XXXX of the last transactions from the previous collections statement. On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX about this issue AGAIN. She investigated, contacted the collections department and XXXX and said that all should be good. I just called the collections agency today, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, to verify the status and found out they still show a balance {$250.00}. I then called XXXX to find out what was going on in which their system showed we have a XXXX balance. XXXX said they would forward the information to the collection agency and for me to call back tomorrow to verify if all is cleared, but refused to send me anything in writing that this matter is resolved. Meanwhile, my husband ca n't order any needed supplies ( we can order, but they wo n't ship it ) because in the " system '' we 're in collections. My husband has had to XXXX when they 're supposed to be updated regularly. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX with XXXX forced an order of supplies, but now our authorization has expired because of all this aggravating miscommunication between XXXX and their collection agency. I think this is unacceptable and the aggravation my husband and I have had to endure since XX/XX/XXXX because XXXX ca n't get their act together has led to this formal complaint. My husband is a XXXX and should n't have to XXXX, etc. I am hoping an investigation can be conducted in this completely outrageous situation so XXXX will be held accountable for the additional stress this company has put us through for 2 years!!!

While visiting Co in XX/XX/XXXX I became sick, went to XXXX Hospital on XX/XX/XXXX and was diagnosed with XXXX XXXX. The hospital ran a XXXX XXXX, gave me XXXX, told me to go to XXXX which is lower altitude and I will be ok. The next day we packed up and drove to XXXX and I had no breathing issues. While at the hospital we gave them our insurance card and they made a copy of the card to submit the bill to. On XX/XX/XXXX I receive a bill from XXXX stating that I owe {$4500.00}. I proceed to call XXXX and send them a copy of the EOB showing the negotiated price and that I owe {$640.00} of which I already paid {$500.00}. Below is a listing of dates, times and people I talked to. I have NEVER received any further communication from XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX. This weekend XX/XX/XXXX I receive a notice from BC Services , Inc XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CO XXXX XXXX ( Acct # XXXX ) stating I owe them {$4500.00} and I need to pay this immediately. I called BC Services twice today talked to XXXX XXXX @ XXXX and she told me I need to call my insurance company and have them call BC Services. I called my insurance company and due to privacy laws ( thank God ) they can not talk to BC regarding my insurance. I did email over an explanation of benefits to BC Services showing the bill being paid. I later call BC Services and talk to XXXX XXXX @ XXXX and she explained that an EOB is not good enough and I need to pay BC Services. I then called XXXX Hospital at XXXX and talked to XXXX in billing and he stated that I owe no money to XXXX and that they never sent anything to BC Services and they are not sure who that even is. That lead me to believe that BC Services could be a fraudulent company? I am concerned as I do not want my good credit score being affected by this possible fraudulent company. I turned to you because that's the information I found on the internet. Thank you XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX Conversation with XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, he stated call back in a week, he will look into the EOB XX/XX/XXXX XXXX @ XXXX XXXX ( billing company for XXXX ) she states to call back in a week XX/XX/XXXX called XXXX XXXX back and talked to XXXX and XXXX at XXXX and they stated they never submitted the claim so they sent it to XXXX. again. Really the claim was submitted and paid in XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX called XXXX XXXX again and talked to XXXX who in turn forwarded the information and EOB to her supervisor who never called me back. ( XXXX XXXX # XXXX ) Time goes by with no bills or statements ... XX/XX/XXXX I receive notice from BC Services that I was sent to collections. I send them the EOB ... .The above story explains that.

I submitted original complaint to company on XXXX XXXX ; XXXX responded saying " Consumer Financial Protection Bureau RE : Complaint by XXXX XXXX - Complaint # XXXX Dear CFPB, We received the complaint from XXXX XXXX submitted through the CFPBs website and we appreciate the opportunity to respond. XXXX XXXX indicates that the balances for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX were previously paid. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX listed XXXX XXXX account on XX/XX/XXXX and we sent our first notice on XX/XX/XXXX. We also sent a second notice on XX/XX/XXXX with no response. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX listed XXXX XXXX account on XX/XX/XXXX and we sent our first notice XX/XX/XXXX. Two subsequent notices were also mailed to XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX with no response. Our investigation finds that XXXX XXXX accounts were both billed to his insurance, but were not paid in full as he did not have medpay insurance for this automobile accident. We have been advised by the original creditors that the balances on both accounts remains due. We are here to assist XXXX XXXX with resolution of his accounts and accordingly if he has any questions we welcome him to contact us directly at XXXX. Respectfully, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX '' XXXX ; I would appreciate if I did n't have to wait several years for this to simply fall off on it 's own ; however given the circumstances of my accident ( Which was not my fault ) I was told several times that this was handled and taken care of ; If it 's infact true ; that original creditors attempted to bill my insurance ; the other driver should have been billed my medical bills as I was in an unfortunate accident which was not my fault. I would like to request that you remove both of these from my credit report ; I am happy to wait the time frame as well if there 's no other options ; however I 'd appreciate if you dig into this case a bit if you have that ability so that you could see the reality of the situation. My passenger ( Climbing Friend ) had all of his medical bills taken care of and has never had any issues ; so there should be no difference with myself. Please remove this.

THIS COMPLAINT IS IN RESPONSE TO MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT THAT I HAVE FILED AGAINST BC SERVICES, WHICH CONTINUES TO VIOLATE THE LAW BY REPORTING INVALIDATED INFORMATION ON MY CREDIT REPORTS. THIS IS WRITTEN NOTICE TO BC SERVICES THAT YOUR CLAIM HAS BEEN DISPUTED UNDER THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT ( FCRA ). I HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISPUTE ANY INACCURATE INFORMATION THAT IS BEING REPORTED IN MY CREDIT FILE. I HAVE REQUESTED SEVERAKL TIMES FOR BC SERVICES TO PROVIDE ME WITH PROOF THAT THIS DEBT IS INDEED MY DEBT, AND THAT I HAVE A LEGAL OBLIGATION TO PAY YOU BC SERVICES. On XXXX XXXX, 2016, I contacted with regards to an account which is appearing on my credit bureau. On my first contact I spoke with XXXX XXXX, and advised her I had made prior communication with your office regarding this debt as its validity is disputed. I advised XXXX that the debt was the result of an injury that occurred in a Casino, and that they were liable for the bill. At which point, XXXX XXXX advised me that I needed to provide the name of the Casino insurance company so your company could call and get the bill paid. It is my standing, that under the Fair Debt and Collection Practice 's Act, to be compliant, the company is to mark the account as disputed and validate the debt. However, in the above scenario, the conversation was not compliant with the FDCPA as the least sophisticated debtor would not realize that you are required to automatically follow a dispute protocol, and instead would have to go through the process of contacting the casino to provide this information to your company. Additionally, I later made contact with BC Services and spoke with a XXXX XXXX. I gave XXXX XXXX my name, and then XXXX XXXX gave me my date of birth and did not advise me that this was an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained would be used for that purpose. I stand firmly, that your XXXX XXXX violated the law by providing my date of birth, instead of asking for it. Which violated PMI requirements. Additionally, both collectors made demand for payment knowing it was a disputed debt. In addition, the company had yet to send a validation letter to me, which is a violation of a recent decision by the Federal Consumer Protection Bureau that demand for payment within the first thirty days is a violation of the FDCPA, as the least sophisticated debtor would not realize they still had 30 days to dispute the debt. It is my belief that I have a valid claim against your company for non-compliance with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and by giving out my date of birth, possibly HIPPA.

In XXXX of 2014, I had emergency surgery. I had XXXX XXXX health insurance at the time of the surgery. XXXX paid all claims submitted by providers. XXXX provider, Colorado XXXX XXXX, says they repeatedly submitted a claim to XXXX but the claim was denied. XXXX 's records show no claim was ever submitted by Colorado XXXX XXXX. The medical provider acknowledges they had complete and accurate insurance information for me and that I did my part of the process as a consumer. The medical provider did not perform their due diligence in submitting the claim in a timely manner. Once one year from the date of service had passed, they say they sent me a bill. I did not receive a bill from them and doubt the bill was sent ; it seems that they claim to have billed me the same as they claim to have submitted to XXXX, but no record can be found. They sent the account to collections and say I was notified, but I can locate no record of notification. On XXXX XXXX, 2015, I was served with a summons indicating I am being sued for the amount. It should be noted the summons was dated XXXX XXXX, but not issued until a full month later. Once I received the summons I contacted XXXX and Colorado XXXX XXXX. XXXX asked that the company resubmit. The staff member at Colorado XXXX XXXX assured me they would resubmit the claim. They did not. I had to contact the XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for assistance. They were able to review XXXX claim logs for the entire year and verified that the medical company had not ever submitted the claim. They will not submit now, which is needed for XXXX to issue me a statement of benefits showing I owe them nothing. Now, I am being sued for the amount of the bill, collections fees, and court fees. For something that is the fault of the health care company not following procedure. I am livid that I have no consumer protection from this sort of senseless lawsuit when I had insurance that would have paid the claim if it had been submitted.

I starting receiving multiple calls a day approximately 2 months ago from a collector who refused to identify themselves. In early XXXX, the man who called again refused to identify himself and ended the call stating he'd send me a letter. Approximately XX/XX/18 I received a letter from B.C. Services of XXXX, CO. regarding a medical bill. I was finally able to connect live with XXXX on XX/XX/2018 at approximately XXXX XXXX. XXXX with in the first couple words spoken became very abusive although I was calling to set up payment arrangement on my account. He was attempting to collect information on a previous family member to which I responded that I had nothing to do with that individual and I strictly was calling in efforts to resolve to my account. He kept demanding that I give him the information and told him he'd be serving me a law suit. I again reiterated I was calling in regards to my account and wanted to make payment arrangements. He said he would not set up payment arrangements and disconnected the line. I called back and he answered again. I told him I wanted the fax number to the office he refused and asked what I wanted to the number for. I told him he was obligated by law to provide the information to me and demanded it again. He then stated I could speak to a supervisor and transferred my call. at XXXX XXXX I spoke with XXXX XXXX ( female ) and explained that I was well aware of my rights, that XXXX had engaged in illegal abusive debt practices and I would not tolerate it whatsoever. She was kind, indicated she'd listen to the call, and speak with him. She also set up a payment arrangement on the account. I feel this needs to be addressed with this company as this in not the first time in my life dealing with them, and each time they behave in the same manner.

i am filing this complaint to report a false statement from BC Service inc, a collection agency. i just found it out when i received my credit report from XXXX this week .At my biggest surprise i saw this debt collection of {$850.00} reported on XXXX 2016 to the XXXX credit bureau which state that i have an account that was open on XXXX 2016 with BC Services incorporation located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX co XXXX. Firstable this is a false statement, i have never opened an account or never do business with this company. but that was reported to the XXXX credit bureau that i open that account with them since XXXX 2016 that is a lie. Second, they never sent me in writing any notice that the FDCPA Act required any collection agency to do before sending any debt to the XXXX credit bureau. According to th e Fair Debt collection practice Act ( FDCPA ) a collection agency must notify in writing a person of his right to dispute a debt within 30 days before trying to collect any debt and before sending any debt to the XXXX credit bureau. but BC Service inc did not do that .they never sent any letter in writing of my rights to dispute any debt. but instead they sent it directly to the credit bureaus to destroy my credit.therefore they have violated my rights under the fair Debt collection practice Act ..I demand that this account must be remove from immediately from my credit report I sent them a letter to prove they own this debt and also to sent me a copy of the contract that is between them and the original creditor which show that they are entitle to collect that debt, they never respond. also i ask them to sent me a complement payment history starting with the original creditor they never respond

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has made a charge for a service which it did not render for me, the patient. A charge of {$500.00} was applied to my account for XXXX storage on XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX XXXX with a Diagnosis code of XXXX. This charge was mistakenly applied to a service not rendered. The initial freezing and first year of storage occurred on XX/XX/XXXX and I paid {$300.00} for both. The next year I chose to transfer the vials to a new facility. XXXX XXXX facilitated the transfer on XX/XX/XXXX. She assured me that because it was within the same week of the first years expiration date, that I would not be charged. She said that I XXXX receive a couple bills until the charge was cleared, but to call if that didnt happen after 2 months. After receiving a bill on XX/XX/XXXX, I began calling XXXX XXXX, business office, to dispute this charge. I called and left messages on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. She never returned my calls. I also called XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, and they were also unable to resolve this issue. On XX/XX/XXXX, this bill was sent to the collection agency XXXX XXXX. I have been called by XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I called them back on XX/XX/XXXX to discuss the charge and tell them I am disputing it. I have also submitted a form on their website saying that I dispute the charge on XX/XX/XXXX. In the afternoon of XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX did return my call and assured me she would expedite cancelling the charge and it would be resolved in 8 business days. I sent the attached letter and supporting documents to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to document my dispute.

XXXX/XXXX/2015 I reordered my usual list of XXXX from XXXX XXXX, as I have been doing for the last ten years. On XXXX/XXXX/2015, without any bill or notice, they REMOVED {$260.00} from my checking account - without my consent. They claim I gave them permission XXXX years ago. This resulted in an overdraft on my bank account. I immediately closed that checking account and opened a new account they had no attachment to. I complained about this matter to them, but never heard anything back ; Until they contacted me in XX/XX/XXXX to try to collect on an outstanding balance of {$260.00}. I told them it was paid, and I had a balance of {$0.00}. They claimed to have refunded the money back to my account in XX/XX/2015. I have spoke to the bank on multiple occasions on this matter, and they assure me NO REFUND HAS BEEN PROCESSED, nor could it, since that account was closed more than 30 days prior. XXXX continues to harass me about this bill, even after I have faxed them copies of my bank statements, and had a three-way call with them and my bank. They have now enlisted the help of a collection agency ( BC Services ) who have been repeatedly calling and sending mail about this bill. I have not been able to reorder any of my medical supplies in the last year ( some items should get replaced monthly ) and now I will have to find another supplier, which will cost me more money because XXXX is the only XXXX supplier in network. This bill was paid in full, and they are threatening my credit which I am just starting to rebuild. I am looking to buy a new home and need all the help I can get.

I noticed on my credit report that there was a strange addition of negative information, so I called the company listed. They identified themselves as BC Services upon my phone call on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked what the debt was that they were reporting and they claimed to have called my number in XX/XX/XXXX. I have no record of contact at that time, nor do I remember speaking to any debt collector. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the supervisor was aggressive. I told him that I would need further verification of the debt so I can make an informed decision as a consumer. I told him I would be sending a letter requesting more information and his reply was that " I do not need to send a letter ... I can verify whatever you need over the phone. '' I proceeded to send the letter anyways so I could get the information I needed in writing. Today, XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter in response which was XXXX pages ( attached ) that tell me have no basis to verify both the debt, nor the information needed to verify BC Services right to collect on this debt. Their letter also indicated " Enclosed are the statements provided by our client that confirm the charges ; '' however, the letter did not include any statements. They only list that the charge is from XXXX XXXX and each of the XXXX pages indicates a different dollar amount. I feel that the creditor is trying to collect on a debt they do not have a legal right to collect on, based on the avoidance of submitting to me proof that they currently hold the debt and they have a legal right to collect on the creditor 's behalf.

I was garnished in a court of law in XXXX, Co from BC Services Inc, XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Co XXXX. I did not receive proper notice of them taking me to court, nor was I notified of the court date. I received notice from my job accounting department that I was being garnished. I did call BC Services , Inc . They were very rude and laughed me to scorn. They would not let me negotiate to pay a lower amount in payments. They took so much out each month I barely had enough money to pay my rent let alone buy food and pay my bills. I used to go to XXXX XXXX hospital for my health care, they have partnered with BC to get paid by whatever means possible. As long as they get paid. I can not afford to go anymore because they are too expenses. Now, BC Services Inc is threatening me for physical therapy bills that I dispute the validity of. I believe they want to increase the amount of my debt so they can have me garnished again. What are my rights as a citizen to protect myself from these vultures and to get fair payment plans for medical bills? I have one more complaint about BC Services , Inc . They have not sent me my receipt for the aforementioned garnishment of {$3500.00} court-ordered I paid {$3500.00}. So, they were overpaid. When I called BC on the phone the person I spoke to said I owed an additional {$98.00}. She was told to tell me the {$98.00} was waived. The garnishment was filed on XX/XX/19 and was paid off in XXXX or XXXX. Yet. I have not received a receipt and they said they would send me one. What can I do?

I received a debt collection notice from BC Services, based in XXXX, CO for a bill that I did not know about or believe that I owed. The letter did not include any notice that I had a right to dispute the debt, or any instructions on how to do so. Luckily, I happened to already know that debt collectors can not charge a bill without providing proof of the debt, and I took action immediately by contacting the company by email and paper mail to request written proof of the debt. I also spoke to a BC Services representative on the phone who told me the company could not provide any information and it was my own responsibility to contact the creditor, the Colorado Department XXXX XXXX directly and figure out what the bill was for- which is not the case. The first " verification '' of debt I received was a simple account statement from the CO XXXX. of XXXX that contained no information about what the bill was for or evidence that I owed the money, which was the specific information I had asked for. Only after writing and emailing four times between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/2022, the last email including a threat of legal action, did I receive a helpful response from BC Services. At that point, my request for proof was finally forwarded by the company to the creditor and I received written documentation of how the debt originated. BC Services did not inform me of my rights from the start, and did not take responsibility for providing real evidence of the debt until threatened with legal action- hardly fair practices.

I sent 4 letters regarding my credit report to each bureau and to the collector themselves. XX/XX/2021 was the last one I sent. I haven't checked my credit in awhile prior and noticed a collections accounts ( BC SERVICES AND XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX ) show up on my report. I've called them several times to dispute the wrong information being reported and I either get disconnected or the run around to figure out how this account is on my report. Every time I call in to explain that I've sent in my letters multiple times, the reply is they haven't gotten it. its been about 3 1/2 months since at least ONE response even after calling. I have no clue what else to do and I feel like there won't be a resolution because they keep saying they haven't received anything. This account needs to be removed because I am not liable for this debt nor do I owe anything on these accounts I've never had a contract with. The false information on my report is unfair. Please help me figure this out, I'm out of options and frustrated that its been almost 4 months now. These letters feel useless at this point and I've been spending extra money to have my letters overnight to each credit bureau and the collections agencies themselves. I understand that bureaus and collections agencies can make mistakes but it is very frustrating. I went as far as taking pictures of receipts and letters because they keep saying they haven't received anything. Please help me

Let me start this off by quoting XXXX XXXX XXXX Attorney. This was in response to my initial complaint. " XXXX XXXX also complains that we violated HIPPA by providing proof of the debt directly to him. HIPPA mandates that patients always have access to their healthcare record. When Mr. XXXX demands proof of a medical debt, it is logical, and required by law, that we send that information to him '' The attorney flat out admits to violating my HIPPA rights. HIPPA mandates that a signed HIPPA release is present when releasing medical diagnosis information. This is a clear violation of my Privacy rights. Why do you have a copy of all my medical history? This is not needed to collect a debt. " If a medical provider is in violation of HIPAA regulations, or a breach occurs that exposes personally identifiable medical information, there are serious consequences including fines and lawsuits. This aspect of HIPAA also impacts medical billing because of the transfer of sensitive, personally identifiable health and financial information to other parties '' This will be the last time i request this be taken off of my bureau. I have consulted with and attorney. If this does not remedy the situation. I will file a HIPPA violation complaint with www.hhs.gov. If that doesn't work I will pay full premium and have you deal with my attorney. I have documented everything in detail.

On XX/XX/XXXX phone number XXXX called my husband during work hours, the caller identified herself as working for BC or XXXX Services debt collection, she was looking for the person reporting the incident. My husband replied that he was the spouse and could be dealt with, she wanted him to verify that she was talking to the right person and asked that he verify my date of birth. Refusing to give that information he asked if she would provide the birthdate, she responded with the correct year and asked that he provide the month and day of birth. Giving her the month and day, she said she was collecting a debt of XXXX dollars owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX. She asked then for a credit card information to pay the debt. My husband responded that we would settle the matter with XXXX directly. He then called me to alert me to this issue. Checking my XXXX account online I found no outstanding balance in my account. Determined to do my due diligence I called XXXX XXXX billing department and was given a number to their debt collection agency. XXXX XXXX is the debt collection agency for XXXX XXXX and they had nothing on their system relating to my account or the number that had been called. XXXX XXXX 's Billing department also confirmed that I had no outstanding balance due.

This is the third time that this same sleazy claim for taxes to XXXX has been made, and the claim is invalid as I was NOT a resident of XXXX for the year the claim is made having retired and moved to XXXX. By the way, XXXX does NOT have income tax and the XXXX claim is for income paid to me in XXXX and NOT XXXXXXXX This claim for taxes underscores XXXX XXXX desperation to prop up their failing state government. This is may be the first time that BC Services has made a debt collection for taxes not owed from me but they are chasing " ghost debts '' attempting to shake down money from those who do not owe that money. They should be publicly shamed and I will take legal action if they do NOT drop their effort immediately. That action in XXXX requires they come to the XXXX Court and pay a filing fee, and they will be subjected to paying any and all legal fees involved including treble damages for actual debt claimed. BC Services is NOT listed as a XXXX company and has not listed a XXXX representative where a summons can be filed compelling their attendance for legal action. I do NOT owe {$170.00} to XXXX and this was discharged by two previous debt collection attempts. This is nothing less than a criminal shake down for a debt NOT owed.

I never received any communications from this company regarding any bills from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Back in XXXX I went to XXXX XXXX which is part of the XXXX XXXX network to get a procedure. After receiving the bills in the mail, I sent XXXX XXXX a check to settle any balance owed at that time. atatched is copy of the letter as well as th check sent to XXXX XXXX. You will also see atatched a copy of my bank statement from XX/XX/XXXX showing the check of {$100.00} which has the number XXXX has been cashed by XXXX XXXX/XXXX XXXX. so after the check has been cashed, per the letter, the account balance should have been zero and closed. so I'm surprised to see that XXXX XXXX XXXX, after two years is reporting false information on my credit report and trying to collect a debt who doesn't exist and that was settle two years ago. Since it has been more than two years, I can't get a copy of the actual cashed check but if you look at my bank statement, on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, the check number " XXXX '' has been cashed and it is the same exact check number/amount on the letter sent to XXXX XXXX/XXXX XXXX. I called wells fargo to request a copy of the check and hope they can email it to me asap

I received an alert from a credit report stating I had potentially negative activity. After looking into it, I found an account from BC Services. I have never been contacted by BC Services, not by phone, email, or mail, so have no idea what this charge could be. I contacted the company that BC Services was supposedly collecting for, and they were able to tell me that my balance had been paid in full. Additionally, I do believe that by law, it is required to receive notice that debt is being transferred to a collector, which I never received. At this point, I was pretty sure this was at least an error, but gave them some benefit of the doubt. I called BC Services to solve the situation and they immediately asked for my social security number. I declined, and they claimed they were unable to help me as a result. Throughout the phone call spoke to 3 customer service agents each becoming more and more rude, providing me no information at all, eventually hanging up on me. At this point, I am fairly certain this is a scamming operation. Very perturbed that this has gone so far as to impact my credit score, especially after no communication whatsoever from " BC Services ''.

Medical debt incurredXX/XX/XXXX had been long paid off shortly after receiving the initial bill, and I received a surprise collection letter from BC Services ( original bill was with XXXX XXXX Hospital in XXXX XXXX ) dated XX/XX/XXXX, 5 years later, for the amount of {$540.00} with {$3.00} of interest. I had initially verified with XXXX Hospital that the full bill was paid and no further balance is due. I have not heard from them via phone or mail since ( during the past 5 years ). I did move recently, but my address had been the same for another almost two years and I remained in the same city for another 3 years after the initial bill. My phone number has been the same ever since, so I would n't have been difficult to reach. When speaking with BC services they said they would send the initial statement ( which I have not received either ) but would not explain what happened or how this is valid and were extremely short and unhelpful. I have written them as well as the original company a certified letter, again requesting a final statement but am awaiting a response. Nothing has shown on my credit report so far but I am looking every day. THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE!

My wife and my new home mortgage was denied due to a false claim by XXXX XXXX Hospital ( XXXX ) at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CO XXXX for {$4000.00}. I have never had any services performed at this hospital. XXXX XXXX neglected to properly identify the person that they provided services to, and then filed a claim using my Name and SSN number. XXXX XXXX never contacted me and turned the debt over to BC Services for collection. When I asked for information regarding the services performed and details of personal information, I was denied. They would collect all my personal information such birthday, SSN, Name, address, etc. and won't tell me what matched and what didn't match. So, I didn't have any details from them to dispute. These calls went on for weeks with XXXX XXXX XXXX, BC Service and us. I have a medical debt that originated with XXXX XXXX. I was making monthly payments for well over a year, maybe even 2 and when I was unable to continue, the debt was sold to BC Services Inc. Total currently due ( {$8100.00} + {$7700.00} ). Same incident but for some unknown reason, these were submitted on 2 accounts. When I missed a payment, it was reported to the credit bureau and when I called to rectify, I was told that nothing could be done except to pay the balance. They offered to reduce in half if I paid in one lump sum. I explained I didn't have {$7900.00} and they suggested I get a loan to pay it off. The interest was over 20 % so I was unable to get the loan. They threatened on several occasions to take me to court. I recently submitted this debt ( and the one associated with the surgeon from the same accident ) to a 'debt relief company ' and I am paying them $ XXXX. The total medical debt is $ XXXX. The surgeon office never submitted my unpaid account to collections. I have been trying to get approved for 'First-time home buying ' programs to help me purchase a home and this debt on my report has resulted in my requests being refused.

The debt is a XXXX bill which I do n't owe doing the time of this electric bill I was homeless living with friends and motels. I sent certified documentation to XXXX XXXX and the collection agency along with a 30 day dispute letter demanding that this be removed from my credit. I have been getting the run around from the collection agency ( BC Services ) with no response from either. the dispute letter was sent to both parties on XXXX XXXX, 2015. On XXXX XXXX 2015 I call BC service and was told they received my documents and the it was now in there dispute department to call back in two weeks. I did so on XXXX XXXX and was told there was no documentation showing where is living before. This is a false statement by them, records of hotel bills where sent at the same time to both parties. This is the XXXX collection agency in less then a year trying to collect and each XXXX I have sent dispute letter with no response. I feel this practice of holding on to debt for a short period time and then selling to another agency is unethical practice and should be investigated and stop. This has cause me to not get a loan from my credit union.

The debt is from XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, it was originally turned over to XXXX XXXX. I asked for a total and final amount for the services rendered by XXXX XXXX so I could negotiate a settlement with XXXX. XXXX kept sending bills that no one, including an attorney I hired, could make sense of their accounting. I wanted this settled so I asked for XXXX to receive the total settlement amount from XXXX, which I then paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX. I have a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, from XXXX XXXX which I will attach stating, " This letter will serve as confirmation the XXXX will consider the attached referenced accounts as settled in full. '' My complaint is on XX/XX/XXXX I received in the mail another random bill stating I owed {$530.00} ( - ) Credited Amount of XXXX (? ) = Total amount owed {$250.00} (? ). This current debt was during the period of XX/XX/XXXX which is exactly the time frame of the settlement I paid in full with XXXX for a final settlement. XXXX XXXX was asked by XXXX to provide the total amount prior to me settling this debt, and I have no intention of paying any more on this matter which has been settled in full.

We also asked for other legal notices required by law. They did not respond to me within the 30 days required by law THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICE ACT. Because they were and still are in clear violation of the FDCPA, their unresponsive action forced me to send a final demand letter dated XX/XX/XXXX insisting that they remove any and all derogatory reports issued to XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX credit reporting agencies. The debt is for the alleged " rental '' of a wheelchair for my son. My son ( then XXXX years-old ) was visiting my sister in XXXX, CA when he fell and XXXX He was taken to the emergency room where he was treated and discharged with a wheelchair. My son was insured and I was contacted by an agency with the wheelchair - XXXX XXXX XXXX. The agency said that they thought the insurance co would cover the cost {$210.00} +or-. I also provided my credit card number to pay for it in case it was not covered. Months went by and I did not hear from anyone regarding the wheelchair. Nor did I receive a statement or status. Now XXXX is trying to make my son, who just made XXXX and is XXXX with a XXXX, pay for some " rental '' of the wheelchair that is now {$670.00}. My son was a minor at the time this happened and there is no way they can charge him personally for anything. That is the craziest thing I 've ever heard! XXXX 's client XXXX XXXX was a victim of ID theft. Her information was used to obtain medical treatment and services at a location in Colorado that she never authorized. Several collection accounts were established related to that service. While the majority of those accounts have been disputed with success, BC Services has failed to remove the data from her XXXX credit reports ( obtained XX/XX/XXXX ) as outlined in the FCRA.The first formal dispute was provided to BC Services XX/XX/XXXX, and again XX/XX/XXXX and again XX/XX/XXXX. Even after submitting this information BC Services still attempted to collect on this debt after the data was provided to dispute this account as fraudulent. Address confirmation information was provided to BC Services to show she did not live at the address of the first established medical account as well as a police report indicating the issue was ID theft related. BC Service continued reporting of these accounts is a violation of the FCRA and FDCPA and my clients consumer rights.

ATTN CFPB THIS IS NOT A DUPLICATE COMPLAINT, THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO A LETTER THAT I RECIEVED IN THE MAIL FROM BC SERVICES. AS BC SERVICES IS NO DOUBT AWARE THAT THEY ARE CURRENTLY IN DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT, BUT NOT LIMITED TOO. CFPB PLEASE FORWARD MY RESPONSE OVER TO THE COMPANY PLEASE. BC SERVICE 'S YOU HAVE NOW EXCEEDED THE 30 DAY TIME FRAME ALLOWED TO YOU BY LAW! I have previously enclose copies of my requests for BC Services to VALIDATE these alleged debts. These debts are not mine and I was given any evidence of my obligation to pay BC SERVICES these alleged debts to this collection company 's currently illegally listed on all three of my credit reports. The FCRA requires BC Services to VALIDATE the validity of these alleged items within 30 days. If VALIDATION can not be verified, BC SERVICES is obligated by law to remove these items. This is a clear case of unverified debt here, and I urge BC SERVICES to remove these alleged items before I am forced to take legal action.

I would like to file a complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX in Colorado for a medical collections debt first reported XX/XX/2016 and by extension BC SERVICES as the collection agency - my goal being to dispute the bill and get it removed from my XXXX credit report ( the only one it even shows up on ). I did not learn of this debt until fairly recently and I have never received communication or contact of any kind by the parties mentioned above before learning about the debt essentially by accident. I was not informed of the bill, am not convinced it is even accurate or related to me. Even if it was proven so, I was not given the proper resources to pay for it and avoid this whole predicament. I hereby state NO CONTRACT/CONTRACT CANCELED and file this formal complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX ( who is the original creditor ) and by extension BC SERVICES ( who is the current creditor ) in the hopes the error is rectified and the bill is removed from my credit report so I can move on financially.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against BC Services Inc., a debt collection agency located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I have been in communication with BC Services Inc. regarding a debt collection matter related to my state taxes. While I am willing to cooperate and have agreed to a monthly payment plan, I am concerned about the agency 's insistence on obtaining my credit or debit card information before finalizing the agreement. This request raises questions about the legality of such a requirement and creates an unnecessary burden, especially considering alternative payment methods like checks. I believe this may be a violation of consumer rights and merits investigation. Details of the complaint : Name of Company : BC Services Inc. Address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX I kindly request the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to investigate this matter and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws.

I feel like BC Services has fraudulently obtained my social security number in order to collect a debt! They have went as far as to contact my employer and began to garnish my wages. I dont even know why they've decided to take such action as they are not even listed down as a collection agency I owe money to on my Credit report. The only 3 agencies I owe money to are XXXX XXXX XXXX ( hospital bill ( {$140.00} ) ), XXXX XXXX ( 2 hospital bills ( 1 for {$210.00} and another for {$510.00} ) ), and XXXX XXXX XXXX ( apartment lease ( {$1400.00} ) ) .... not BC Services. On top of that, I dont understand why they will take away about {$200.00} from every check if 2 hospital Bill 's were under {$250.00} and the other one is {$500.00}. The XXXX XXXX account has slowly been starting to pay off so there wouldn't be a reason for them to garnish my wages. BC Services failed to ever contact me and took wrongful action without my knowledge.. I thought my employer was shortening me on my hours.

None of the options above fit my complaint ( had to pick one ). BC Services debt collectors, used my name on a message to get me to call them, and then when I called the representative asked about a debt for some one else, who I do not know! When the representative looked at some info. after I confirmed my phone number, she said there is some information about you. I said what info. and she said I need your DOB. I said I would not give her any more info., as her company called me. She said, then we will send this in the mail. I said what info. are you talking about. She said, I need your DOB in order to give that info. to you. Again, I said you called me. Conversation ended, and to say the least, the tactics and practice used by this debt collector is not acceptable. Do n't use my name and then make it sound like you have some dirt on me in order to get me to give you more information!!

I have pulled my credit report from multiple sources at several different intervals. I have seen accounts from the debt collector BC Services, and attempted to reach them in regard to settling the debts. I informed the collector that my interest in contacting them was to clear all accounts off my credit report ; I then asked the representative how many accounts total they had reporting to my credit. The rep I was speaking to ( whose name I did n't catch ) informed that they have XXXX accounts total on my credit and all are being reported on my credit. Upon calling back at a later point I was advised that there are only XXXX of the XXXX accounts actually being reported. This is a blatant violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act, by the representative knowing that my attempts were to clear my credit report and then advising that an account not on my credit report is being reported.

BC Services sent collection letters addressed to my wife, XXXX XXXX. This is improper because XXXX is not listed on the debts in any way. BC Services was not attempting to obtain contact information for me, as they already have it. BC Services was providing information to her about these debts. She and I were married after the debts were incurred. Colorado is not a marital property state, which BC Services should be well aware since they are headquartered there. BC Services has shown a disregard for the laws and procedures in place to protect consumers. This is the second instance of blatant disregard for the law. The first instance may be identified by Case number : XXXX. After this complaint was filed, BC Services did seek to correct that failure. Please note violation of multiple account numbers : XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX

On XX/XX/XXXX I went to a bank to apply for a credit card. I was denied based off multiple collections that I didnt know about. Upon calling them to ask what they were they told me they kept receiving return mail and gave me the address they had on file and told me I owed {$840.00}. i proceeded to tell them that the address they had was wrong, I told them I had no idea about them. They then told me the address they had was what was sent to them from their customer. I feel I shouldnt be held responsible for the collection since they were at fault for the wrong address but they told me I am at fault whether I knew about the wrong address or not. I personaly and my families lawyer feels I should n't be held responsible for their mistake. They wo n't give me anything in writing stating if I pay in full they will immediately take it off my credit report.

A representative pounded on our door on a Sunday afternoon. This person nearly woke our sleeping XXXX month old, and was rude when my husband answered the door. They handed my husband a fake summons ( it was not filed with the court-no clerk 's stamp or signature ), and this was an attempt to scare tactic us into paying the medical bill in full. The bill was less than {$1000.00}. I had just weeks before made payment arrangements with the hospital of {$200.00} a month to resolve any past medical bill debt. ( We moved and did not receive all bills until updating our address. ) After calling, apparently the hospital sold part of the debt to XXXX different XXXX and the BC services was XXXX of them, and was unbeknownst to me not included in my payment arrangement. I do believed this bill since it has the same acct # number can be a HIPPA violation for releasing medical records without the consent from my husband.

BC Services Inc is reporting a debt on my credit file that I do not owe. I noticed this collection reporting on my credit file and this is not mine. I am a trucker and my truck got totaled from an accident, I had to go to the hospital and get looked at. Insurance should have covered the total amount and I was told I had to pay nothing out of pocket. When I received a statement saying I owed {$1400.00} I called them and told them this was being covered by insurance. They said they would be looking into it and getting back to me. To this day, I have not heard back but nice enough I was sent to collections. BC Services also did not give me a 30 day right to dispute. That is a violation. This needs to be removed immediately from my credit file.

XXXX XXXX billed me for services rendered to my wife. I asked them to instead bill her ( I did not want medical conditions and treatments rendered to her on my medical record ). Instead, they referred the bill to BC Services who is attempting collection from me. Note, in this process my wife 's private health information was revealed to both me and BC services, clear HIPAA violations. I wrote to BC services pointing out that the debt was not mine and asked for clarification as to why I was being charged, or to dismiss the proceedings. I received debt collection notices for medical bills that were not properly due. The insurance company was still reviewing the claims when I received the notice and the insurance company did pay the claims, resulting in a credit on my account with the hospital. Several weeks after the credit was applied to my account, I am still getting notices from the collection company, although the hospital agrees that there is no debt due and instead there is a credit on my account. Not only did these documents contain procedures and/or medication recieved it also contained my social security number with NO security measures.
