I was interested in buying a 2003 XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX in California ( I live in XXXX XXXX ). They quit making the XXXX XXXX so I was looking nationally for a low mileage model with a beautiful XXXX combo. This car was perfect. My first time a salesmen showed me car going around it with the video on his phone. I agreed it was perfect for me. They needed a {$4300.00} deposit which I gave them with my bank card. A day or two later a second salesman called me and want to show me the car again because the first salesman was new. This time it was shown to me that the car had a tear in its roof. I was still interested in the car and told that salesman that I would get estimates on fixing the roof. Well it was a few XXXX dollars to get replaced. I was mailed paperwork but never signed any forms as I now knew I couldnt afford to buy it and get it fixed. The company has refused to give me even partial deposit back. I consulted with a lawyer who mailed them a letter asking for my deposit back but they never responded to the letter. Please offer any help or advice you can. Thank you!
