On XX/XX/XXXX I was left a voicemail by an unknown/private number. The caller identified himself as XXXX XXXX, and said that he was contacting me in regards to an incident that took place while I was in the Military ( XXXX ) and that it was of great importance that I contacted him immediately to avoid further noncompliance. In the two hours it took me to realize I had missed a call, my brother, mother, father, and ex-wife of nearly ten years ago were all also contacted by XXXX XXXX, interrogated of my whereabouts, and informed to pass along his information regarding a legal matter dating back to an incident that took place while he was in the XXXX. After a frenzy of panic from my family, I attempted to return a call to XXXX XXXX at XXXX. A man answered the phone for Military Credit Services - I identified myself, and asked for XXXX XXXX. His response was let me place you on hold and get you over to him. After a brief hold, the same man returned to the phone and said oh, I mean, this is XXXX XXXX. After a very confusing and brief conversation, I was told that the paralegal will be contacting you as soon as he can and he can give you much more information about your file. Days went by with no contact. On XX/XX/XXXX I was contacted via telephone by an unknown/private number. The man on the other end identified himself as representing Military Credit Services , LLC. It was again, XXXX XXXX. He said the paralegal was available to speak with me now, and he placed me on hold. Once the paralegal ( unfortunately I did not catch his name ) joined the call, I was immediately pressed and intimidated while he listed personal information about my life, my bank accounts, my employers. He told me that originally I had taken out a line of credit from Freedom Furniture in Louisiana, in XXXX. That line of credit went into default when I separated early from the XXXX and the allotments stopped paying the bill on that line of credit. It was then pushed into collections, and a judgement was granted in XXXX, Virginia in XXXX. ( I have never lived in Virginia, nor have I been to the state of Virginia. At the time this judgement was granted in Virginia, I was living in XXXX, Arizona. ) I was never made aware of this hearing or any judgement made against me, although the paralegal from Military Credit Services insists I was served prior to the hearing. For the original {$2300.00} line of credit, Military Credit Services was given a 20 year judgement with such a high interest rate that apparently I am now in default of over {$7000.00} to this company. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX also added a new collection line to my XXXX credit report that is listed as being Opened XX/XX/XXXX when I have not done any business with Military Credit Services since XXXX. I have previously disputed collection lines on my credit report from Military Credit Services and had them removed or closed, and now they are returning to my credit report under the guise of a different LLC operating as their Internal Collection Agency. After speaking with them today they are now threatening to levy the only bank account that has my name attached to it, which is a co-owned and operated business account. They have no legal right to harass myself or my extended family, and they have no right to collect on a stale that has already surpassed its statue of limitations for collection. On top of all this, with just one simple XXXX search of Military Credit Services , LLC you will find numerous articles that have been published citing their lawsuit with the CFPA in which they were found to be practicing unfair, illegal, and questionable collection practices. Part of these unfair and questionable practices were placing judgements against out of state customers who have never done business in the state of Virginia and did not originally take the line of credit out in the state of Virginia. Not only that but they have also been barred from using Virginia courts to sue out of state customers entirely. But, on XX/XX/XXXX I was made aware that I was sued in Virginia in XXXX by Military Credit Services LLC and a judgement was placed against me that will date for 20 years with an interest rate of over 20 %.

XXXX and XXXX placed a collection account on my report in XXXX stating that I owed Military Credit Service over {$3000.00} well I contacted XXXX and talked to a lady by the name of XXXX XXXX at XXXX and she said that I didnt have not ever had an account with Military Credit Services and gave me the number to XXXX XXXX XXXX who owns supposedly XXXX XXXX XXXX at the following numbers and to let him know the account is inaccurate and that he can contact her. These are the numbers given XXXX and XXXX. XXXX XXXX said to talk to him because he would be able to remove it off of my credit since it is not accurate. She also stated that he could call her and the only account I had was XXXX XXXX who is a sister company, but that account is over 2 decades and has been sold numerous times, they also went out of business years ago and I included them in my XXXX XXXX back in 2001 in Texas which she saw. I contacted XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and talked to a XXXX @ XXXX and she said XXXX XXXX was on vacation and she placed a dispute with the company so that he can get back with me but no one has. They have placed said account on my credit without validation of debt. I have never had an account with XXXX and XXXX XXXX verified it. If they ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) try to say they sent me a certified letter which seems to be a pattern with them in all the claims I have read against them on the XXXX they consistently state they sent out letter but I have NEVER received one. I can verify it due to I have informed delivery with the USPS and it shows all the mail I ever received for this year with screen shots of all mail as a preview to show what is coming. I am requesting that XXXX XXXX XXXX removed Military Credit Services because they are posting fake information in other words fraud. This is all my proof of what XXXX XXXX XXXX has placed on my report as fraud, fake and wrong information. This unaccredited company has violated my rights as a consumer and I request the account be removed from my XXXX credit report due to failing to adhere to the FCRA guidelines. I have enclosed screen shots of how corrupt XXXX XXXX XXXX is and the tactics they use repeatedly on others and are doing the same with me. They never validate their collection accounts and leave the consumer in despair. They need to be dealt with in accordance by law.

I was contacted by a company XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX on XXXX XXXX 2017. They only call by a blocked number. They called my husband discussing a debt that he had no idea about. The debt is not his. They threatened him that if a payment was not made they will garnish his wages and take his tax returns. When I was able to finally talk to someone at the company they were discussing a debt owed to a company by the name of Military Credit Servies it XXXX XXXX XXXX. The debt is not listed on my credit report, this debt is also 4 years old. The gave me an amount that was higher than I though and demanded if I dont pay the full amount or a down payment that they will garnish my wages and take my taxes. I couldnt afford that down payment so we made an arrangement until the down payment was paid fully and then monthly payments after that until the debt was paid off. Something did not seems right as if it was sketchy so I attempted to contact the original company I originally got the loan from but they could not provide me any information. They said it was sold so they could not provide any information. I contacted XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX again trying to get the details of the original loan and what was the amount owed. I wanted to see previous payments and when the payments stopped etc. The guy was pretty demanding and hostile so told me if I keep calling his office to get information he will take off the deal and just garnish my wages and my husbands. He could not provide me with any original details of the debt. He told me to contact the original company. The original company told me to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX. Neither one of them are able to give me anything. The attempted to charge my account for the down payment but I never signed and return the agreement to them until I knew for sure what was going on. They attempted to contact me again saying that they will file a suit against me to garnish my and my husbands wages. I am still not able get any information about this debt.

I currently have an account with Freedom XXXX XXXX. I have been a customer with them for over 2 years now, from the beginning it has been stressful. I originally applied for financing for a flat screen television for a family member. I thought the pricing was good so I continued with the loan. I thought I would be done paying this off within a year but now I am still owing them over XXXX XXXX dollars. This company has been continuously harassing me about a payment that I try to make every month. Being in the military I can not fall delinquent in any payments because it was cause my security clearance to be breached and possible discharge from the XXXX XXXX. They have made multiple threats about contacting my XXXX regarding the account. I have asked them multiple times about offering me a settlement amount so that I could be completely done with them and they turned me down multiple times. This time is the last straw. I recently made a partial payment to them on XXXX XXXX XXXX. Usually they will call me and harass me with making another payment. But they only called me once on XXXX XXXX XXXX and left a voicemail. I could not answer because I was at work so I called them back as soon as I could. No XXXX answer and there is no way to leave a voicemail for them, the phone will hang up once it is ringing for too long. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX they took {$94.00} out of my account without me knowing. Also XXXX XXXX XXXX, they took {$190.00} out of my account without my consent. I have been trying to call them constantly and finally today I spoke with someone named XXXX, he was rude and talking over me, and even denied the transactions taking place. I even offered to send them a screenshot of my bank statement. XXXX told me that he would have his manager call me back. This is completely fraud and I do not understand why they would try to get over on young people in the military.

XXXX / Military Credit Services charged me {$5900.00} for air travel to XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. The cost of the travel at the time was {$3500.00}. I asked for less interest and a lower rate but was told that that was what they had to offer. I took the offer because my father-in-law died suddenly and I had myself and my XXXX children to purchase tickets for with very little time to spare or available resources. I did the best I could and paid {$360.00} mthly on this loan since XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX, I could not afford the pay back amount anymore as I relocated and had a lot of unexpected expenses. The company ( Military Credit Services ) reached out to me and I always took their call and responded to their emails and explained what was happening. I requested several times that they re-negotiate the loan so that I could pay less. They refused and continued their collection efforts. First they attempted to withdraw money from XXXX of my account XXXX different times. XXXX of the accounts is an account that they had the information for at the beginning of the loan but was told shortly after not to use and another account number supplied to them. Second, they reported the collection to the credit bureaus as XXXX separate loans for {$4200.00} with XXXX different account numbers. All this time not accepting my request and offer of a lower payment. How do I get this company to1. re-negotiate the loan and allow me to pay less on a mthly basis. 2. remove the negative reporting as I did not refuse to pay I kept asking for a lower payment and was denied. 3. Definitely remove at the very least the double reporting that they did - which makes it seem as if I owe them {$8500.00} instead of {$4200.00}.

I am writing this complaint because I believe Freedom Acceptance Corporation ( FAC ) has violated my consumer rights. FAC financed a fee called Voluntary Debt Protection Coverage ( in the amount of {$230.00} ) to my loan, in which I believe this product is in violation of the Military Lending Act ( MLA ). The another violation is of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act on this account, FAC was inaccurately reporting the balance of my account on my credit report. Timeline of Events : On XX/XX/2020 I saw that I had an outstanding debt with FAC in the amount of {$700.00}. On XX/XX/2020 I contacted FAC about this outstanding debt and they informed me that it was now with XXXX, a collection company. I knew the outstanding balance was incorrect and the interest they added to the loan was in violation of the Military Lending Act interest cap of 36 %. They were charging 56.19 %. On XX/XX/2020 I filed a complaint with CFPB ( Complaint number XXXX ) reporting this MLA violation on AmSher. On XX/XX/2020 XXXX responded that they would be returning the debt back to Freedom Acceptance Corporation. They also provided copies of my contract which shows that FAC financed in a product that is in violation of MLA. On XX/XX/2020 I contacted FAC and once again they have transferred my account to another collection agency, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, as of XX/XX/2020. I believe I owe {$0.00} due to the fact that they financed in a product that is not allowed into this loan and collected 35.95 % interest on that product for the whole term of this loan. They also are inaccurately reporting the amount due on this loan to the credit bureau. In addition to they continue to transfer this invalid debt to other debt collectors.

Original agreement was with XXXX. I purchased a flight that should have been {$300.00}. The company stated the lowest base travel package for a one-way ticket from XXXX XXXX, TX to XXXX SC was {$640.00}. The amount financed through Military Credit Services , LLC was {$1200.00}. {$76.00} per pay period for 23 months. I paid 7 payments of {$87.00} and stopped paying XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX received a call from collection agency and representative stated I needed to pay them a total of 5 payments of {$180.00} and a final payment of {$160.00} and the debt would be considered paid in full. 1st payment of {$180.00} was withdrawn from my bank account on XX/XX/XXXX with subsequent payments on the XXXX of every month. XX/XX/XXXX a full payment was withdrawn and I contacted first financial ( XXXX ) and spoke with a female and she stated where she seen I made the agreement and the payments and didnt understand why they took the complete payment again. She transferred me to XXXX at Military Credit Services and he stated he couldnt see what was going on so he contacted the original person that made the agreement and she stated now I have to pay the {$680.00} for the debt to be resolved after the other 6 payments already made and transferred me back to XXXX. I told him I wasnt going to pay this and he stated that he just needed a bank card so they wont close the account and put it in collections. I gave him my bank card and they were going to deduct the amount on XX/XX/XXXX. This gave me time to talk to my financial counselor at XXXX XXXX. I cancelled my bank card on XX/XX/XXXX and contacted CFPB XXXX XXXX referencing this account with Military Credit Services and filed this consumer complaint.

I am continuously disputing with Freedom Acceptance. I have disputed with every single credit bureau over 6 times because they keep putting incorrect information on my account. They have 'updated ' my amount owed multiple times with the wrong amount owed making it so I have to dispute again. They keeping changing the loan type from unsecured to secure. It is currently showing as secure and it was not a secure loan. The loan term is different on XXXX than XXXX . The first late payment is different on XXXX and XXXX . The amount owed is incorrect and each time I have reported this, they change the amount and is still incorrect. They would harass my soon ex-husband and myself via email for payments. They were adding on interest and late fees that were an higher amount than what was in the contract. On XXXX we were contacted via email saying we owed {$740.00} then on X/XX/2015 we received another email saying that {$1000.00}. I have asked to have a full disclosure of the amount owed which was not only incorrect but they change the amount owed by cents or dollars so that it affects m y credit score. They would use harassment tactic via email to try and get their money. In addition ; I submitted a claim to a previous complaint XXXX and according to Freedom Acceptance they granted me a {$510.00} credit to my account due to their civil lawsuit that they had in Colorado. However I asked for proof and I never received notice or documentation supporting which is required by the Consent Judgment. I Have also reached out to the Colorado Attorney General XXXX XXXX and I am seeking further assistance on this issue.

I am submitting a complaint against Freedom Acceptance. I had opened a case on this already and it was not addressed that the amount owed was accurate. I had a balance of {$750.00} and keep increasing the amount, currently they just updated my amount owed this last week {$9.00} bringing it to a total of {$3500.00}. I have not have not received a payment history or a itemized bill stating all charges and fees. This has also been addressed in Attorney General XXXX XXXX XXXX vs. Freedom Furniture & Electronics, Military Credit Services , LLC, and Freedom Acceptance Corporation which is addressed in line XXXX and XXXX. I was also being charged more than the 5 % late fee charge as mentioned in line XXXX going from {$750.00} which was reported by email on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ( see attached document ) to {$1000.00} which was also reported through email ( see attached documents ) on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Which is about 2 weeks in time of each other. Not only have they not corrected the amount for any of the credit bureaus which are violating the Colorado law exceed the finance charges authorized and allowable under Code XXXX which is line XXXX. It was noted in my last claim XXXX that I was granted {$510.00} in which I never received notice or documentation supporting which is required by the Consent Judgment on line XXXX. In attached emails have consumers fees for payments made via electronic means notwithstanding that the Administrator advised Freedom Furniture in XXXX that such provisions violated Colorado law. In addition to threatening a lien on our assets without a actual lawsuit.

XX/XX/XXXX i visited a Freedom Acceptance website ( Affiliated with Military Credit Services LLC ). The reason for this visit was to book a plane ticket to XXXX due to a family emergency I had. Shortly after my return home I was facing financial difficulties resulting in late payments as well as non payments. The company I company listed above filed for a Lien on my XXXX XXXX XXXX account using a court out of XXXX while I was XXXX, this occurred XX/XX/XXXX. The lien was placed on my account XX/XX/XXXX while I was preparing for the XXXX, this made it all the more difficult to dispute. I was unable to follow through with the dispute because I was in XXXX and the court that filed the Judgement was in XXXX. I realized the lien had been placed when I attempted to pay a cell phone bill and was unable to due to the bank account being frozen. While I was XXXX I noticed that my paycheck was significantly lower than It should 've been, this lasted about 6 months while freedom acceptance and military credit services were garnishing my wages ; all while my bank account remained frozen. My concern is that while I was attempting to contact this court and this company in XXXX I was unable to get a response. I would also like to know the legality behind a court filing judgement from another state, although the contract was signed in XXXX. The amount of fees I have paid from overseas as well as the extended financial hardship due to my bank account being frozen and my wages being garnished have taken an incredible toll on my family and I.

I bought some Jewelry from a company that is charging and outrageous amount for their jewelry and when I tried to return the items they claimed there is no return policy just a trade value for the items of the same price that it was bought for. After that I left and decided that I was n't going to keep the allotment going through my account and stopped it. a few months later I get a phone call at work claiming that it was a military legal officer on the other end of the line and I received a number to a company that the finance company that was used. When I called the company they threatened to have me charged by the uniform of military code of Justice under an article of the system. After the phone call I got ahold of XXXX XXXX Loans where I got a loan for {$1400.00} at 30 % and when the loan hit my account they went in and took the money with permission by charging my card a total of {$910.00} through multiple transactions that was not authorized by me. When I noticed the transactions I called the company and they confirmed that they took the money due to a overt due balance of the {$910.00} for the time that I stopped the allotment that the money was going through while on a XXXX in XXXX, XXXX up to the date that they took the money. A few months ago I was appointed to court without knowledge of the court date in Virginia and being served, and at the court there was an attorney appointed to me without my consent. I have to pay {$440.00} a month by the court ruling, which is a certain percentage of my military check.

I had an account with freedom furniture that I opened sometime in XXXX for the purchase of a television. I made my payments as scheduled till XXXX of XXXX when I got out of the XXXX and moved XXXX. I made effort to make payment to the company but they where taking payments out of my account that I did not authorize. I had to close my account to keep them from taking money. I ask for a statement which I never received therefore I stopped making payment because they would not provide me with this information. several years went by and i started getting harassing phone calls and emails with threats about payments. I returned an email stating i would make payments of XXXX dollars which they started taking XXXX dollars each month not what was agreed. After a year i asked the company to send me some type of statement showing what I owed on this account ( not provided again ) where I was told I was n't paying enough and my bill was now XXXX payments behind due to not making full payments of {$280.00} which was not agreed to and that i still owe {$24000.00} for a tv but they would make a one time payoff of XXXX. I again asked for some type of paper work and did n't get it. I again had to cancel my card to stop them from billing me this month they called right away and threaten to send me to court again and told me I now owe XXXX if I pay today. I do n't believe there practice is in anyway legal nor ethical is there anything I can do.

I originally took out a small loan of {$6500.00} from Military Credit Services ( MCS ) in XXXX XXXX. I was making payments through an allotment. In XXXX XXXX, they switched my loan provider from MCS to Freedom Stores without informing me. When I noticed this, I stopped all payments and requested that they send monthly statements to the address I provided them. They refused, and gave me online access to their website. I attempted this and resumed my payments. I logged on two months later and noticed no change in my account balance. I called Freedom Stores and informed them I would stop submitting payments until they mailed me a copy of my contract and send me monthly statements in order to keep track of my loan progress. They refused to send me statements, transferred me multiple times to different operators, and threatened legal action if I did not pay. They constantly call me and attempt to harass me into paying with the same conversation playing out. " Please send me statements and a copy of the contract '', transferred multiple times and than told no and they have called my XXXX multiple times. I have attempted to work with them and have submitted a few payments in an attempt to gain some ground and receive what I need, but I have never received a monthly statement or seen any visible evidence that my loan is decreasing. The last payment I made was on XXXX XXXX. The loan is now over 180 days past due

I was contacted XX/XX/XXXX by an attorney working on behalf of Military Credit Services stating that I had a judgement entered against me in XXXX in XXXX, Virginia. Upon research appears this was common practice of Military Credit Services ( aka Freedom Stores ) that affected members of the military. During the time of the loan in question I was stationed at XXXX XXXX, NC. Though I have no recollection of visiting these stores, it is entirely possible that I purchased something from such a location. The attorney went further to explain they would not enforce a garnishment but would proceed to put a lien on my home if I failed to pay. He also informed me of an interest rate of 19.96 % having been entered during the judgement and relayed that over {$2000.00} had accumulated in the nearly 10 years of this judgement being entered. This account had went from around {$1300.00} to about {$3300.00} in the time since judgement. I had never been served during this time period and was unaware of such activity taking place without my right to dispute or appear in court. From subsequent research I was able to find that many of these claims were set aside or refunded, as they showed lack of proper process in notification. This issue has apparently eluded XXXX and XXXX XXXX ( the attorney that has reinstated the adverse credit items on my report and contacted me for collection ).

We opened an account with Freedom Funiture in XXXX paid as agreed and refinanced in XXXX. We paid as agreed until we became unable to pay the full amount in XXXX. We made an agreement to pay a lesser amount per month and kept paying via allotment. Freedom got a judgement against us while I was training. I was not served with the judgement prior to court or after ... I was informed of it when my wages began to be garnished. They got the judgement in XXXX VA. XXXX # XXXX Filed XXXX. I did not sign a contract in VA I signed my contract in GA. They garnished my wages causing finacial distress. I was able to get that stopped through XXXX. However the judgement remains and has severely damaged our credit preventing us from buying a home and upgrading our vehicles. We have asked repeatedly to have this issue fixed based on the fact that the judgement was not served on me ever and the fact that they have caused so much financial distress and ruin. We were told we 'd have to go to VA to fix it. We have in total paid this company nearly {$25000.00} over the last 11 years. for a couch and loveseat, computer hutch, table and chairs. the furniture has not lasted however the payments and ruin continue the judgement says we still owe XXXX. We need assistance as we have tried every other step possible to fix this without aid.

Between XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX I was in the process of being XXXX discharged from the military XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I ended up with XXXX XXXX XXXX. During that time, Freedom Acceptance Corporation failed to make any reasonable attempt to reach me at my current address and phone number to discuss the debt. They immediately took me to court and won a judgment in the XXXX XXXX XXXX, knowing that I did not reside in the city of purchase. I successfully updated my address with them over the phone and let them know I was in XXXXXXXX XXXX and still never recieved any notification from them. They knew I was in the military and was prone to moving. It seems this is something they have done to thousands of veterans. In XXXX it was reported that they were to prove over XXXX XXXX in consumer redress and to pay a {$100000.00} civil penalty for their practices. I could have paid the debt had I been notified, but their business practice is to prey on people even XXXX veterans like myself in order to increase their wealth. I know owe XXXX more than the original balance and Freedom never had the intention of working it out. They wanted to increase their money due and took me to court in a city they knew I did not live in and were awarded a judgement that I was unable to defend.

On XX/XX/2018 at approximately XXXX XXXX EST I received a third call from XXXX XXXX at my place of work. I informed him for a third time that I am not authorized personal calls of any type at work. XXXX XXXX stated that there " was no note on my account stating that I am unable to receive calls at work. '' As stated by XXXX XXXX and his supervisor at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX all calls are recorded. I have had MCS ( Military Credit Services ) call me several times saying they are trying to collect a debt from me that is well over two thousand dollars. I told them it was n't mine and to send me a copy of the account and whatever else that proves it 's mine. They said I should receive this courtesy letter since they already sent out XXXX. They asked me for my mailing address and I told them that if they were speaking to me then they had my address. I never did receive that copy of my account with them. Yet, they called me again a few months backs. When she told me who she was, I informed her until I get a copy of the account, letters sent out to me and whatever else like I asked the last time they called to stop calling me because I did n't open up an account with them nor purchased an item that I had to finance. I hung up then blocked the number. Now I have checked my credit report and I have a hard hit from them. I check my reports about every six months. Its bad enough dealing with XXXX. I 'm XXXX. I 've been working on my credit myself but when this happens its depressing and frustrating because if I ever need t finance I ca n't. IM REALLY UPSET.

Good Day, I'm submitting this complaint in regards to a account that I had with Freedom Acceptance Corporation which had a balance on the account and was sent to another company called XXXX. The Balance at the time of the Charge off XX/XX/XXXX was XXXX and when looking on my credit report I was a balance of XXXX. I received as notice from XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX with a balance of XXXX. I contact XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and talked with a rep that told me my account was back with Freedom Acceptance Corporation. I asked them for a Date they didn't have one. And I then called Freedom Acceptance Corporation and was informed by them that my account was still with XXXX. It's seems that I'm getting the wrap around with what is going. I started making these calls at XXXXXXXX XXXX P.S.T. on XX/XX/XXXX and still don't have any resolution on where to go next. I have not received a summary judgement from a court or Judaical system stating the balance of XXXX.

The original contract only stated a fixed payment of {$56.00} on a financed amount of {$1100.00}. There was no interest rate indicated nor a installment end date ( my fault for not noticing ). I have been paying on said account for 11 months now and called in XX/XX/2017 to get the principle balance so I could pay it off and was advised it was {$940.00}. I then started asking questions as to how and she told me my interest rate was XXXX % however had no clear explanation as to how only {$150.00} of {$610.00} was applied to the actual principle balance with {$460.00} going to interest. The company can not justify where my money has been applied and has advised me they do n't have a detailed statement to send me showing the appropriation of my funds.
