This collection appeared on my credit report a few months ago. I immediately contacted the original biller, because I havent heard anything about this debt or received any bills since my last contact with them in 2020. I received a bill from the hospital for {$90.00} ( my XXXXXXXX XXXX plan copay ) a month or so after my initial visit. I contacted them and told them that they failed to file XXXX, which is my secondary insurance. It covers the copayments and deductibles from my XXXX plan. They told me that they would file the claim, and I never received another bill from them.
I still have not received a bill from this collection agency, but the collection account appeared on my credit report a few months ago. As I stated previously, I immediately contacted the original provider. They told me to contact the collection agency, so I did. The collection agency did the same thing! They told me to contact the original provider, and that filing claims wasnt their problem. When I contacted the hospital AGAIN, they told me they couldnt file claims or accept payment once an account is sent to collections. That the collection agency could, in fact, file the insurance claim.
I contacted the agency again and told them all the information for my XXXX to file a claim. They again failed to file the claim, and they also refuse to remove it from my credit report.
This has caused me serious financial difficulties! My credit was fairly good before this collection dropped my score XXXX points! Im fairly certain that this agency is trying to force me to pay them out of pocket, because they dont want to accept a lesser amount from XXXX. Im very sorry that our government-backed insurance doesnt pay what providers WANT to be paid, but there is a REASON that I get government assistance! Im XXXX, and now Im even more XXXX due to interest rate hikes after this false collection dropped my credit score!
Im fairly certain that their tactics violate not only collection practices, but also my rights under the ACA and the Fair Credit Reporting Act! They have even contacted some of my family members that I dont even talk to!! But they dont want to talk to me about filing an insurance claim that would settle my account when I call them!!

XXXX XXXX which is located on XXXX XXXX XXXX has never once reached out to me. I went into the office on XX/XX/2023 still recovering from XXXX. I was spoken to in a very ugly way and also the lady asked what was I paying on my debt today. I explained to her that she has no right to speak to me in that tone or manner because Im clearly trying to understand why shes bring irate when I have no debt with this place. This particular blonde hair lady went on to say she doesnt work for me but the ( meadows ) which is a slum area owned by former slumlords. Most people like myself who know they arent lying wouldnt waste their time going into the office to clear their name. This blonde haired lady said Im suing you and I told her to go right ahead. Im on social security and I think its sad that they lie on the poor. I would like to sue this company if they dont take this off my report. I understand XXXX XXXX makes money by agencies like these that threaten you but I dont take kindly to threats.
