This complaint is against CityScape Mortgage, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. My husband and I were in the process of purchasing a new construction home since XXXX XXXX. In late XX/XX/XXXX, we decided to switch lenders to see if we would qualify for the XXXX loan. Cityscape was recommended by our realtor. Once we contacted CityScape, we spoke with XXXX XXXX and his XXXX XXXX XXXX. My credit at the time wasn't where it needed to be approved for the VA loan so they helped me get my scores to where they needed them to be through a program they used. Once that was done the process began to flow and we received a call from XXXX in XXXX saying we were conditionally approved for the XXXX loan. Then a few days later I received another call saying I needed to provide documents on a previous foreclosure that was in my ex-husbands name. I sent over the documents they needed. Then they said the XXXX already shows I had a loan, so i sent over documents showing I never used my XXXX loan. Just when we thought the process was moving forward, they emailed saying I needed to provide bankruptcy documents showing accounts that are closed. They requested I call each creditor on the Bankruptcy list. Each creditor my husband and I called stated the accounts were past the statute of limitations. We explained that CityScape, and they still said the loan may not be approved. However, they sent an email to the builder liaison saying the loan was approved and on track for closing. during that time we still didn't receive an appraisal but were told an appraisal wasn't necessary to close per phone conversation with the XXXX XXXX XXXX. During the process we tried numerous times to speak with XXXX and his XXXX to get some clarity on the matter. At one point my husband received a text from XXXX saying he was at XXXX XXXX. The professionalism was nonexistent. Once we decided to switch lenders again we had almost a month until our XX/XX/XXXX closing date. The lender we switched to requested the appraisal after we were told it was completed. However, cityscape dragged their feet until the last moment and then stated they never completed an appraisal. This caused our closing date to be pushed back to XXXX. CityScape was never forthcoming with their intentions and we constantly received the runaround. The process became extremely frustrating and unbearable. The treatment we received was unprofessional and unethical.
