I have health insurance through my job and have added my husband to it as well. We've had the same health insurance for years and don't even go to physicals or dental appointments, mainly because we're young and relatively healthy, but also because we're afraid of unexpected unknown expensive costs associated with very basic things. My husband found us an in-network doctor last year around XX/XX/XXXX. As part of the process we needed to go for a new patient appointment to the facility in XXXX, MA, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I understood that the appointment was a new patient appointment, similar to a physical. My husband went to the appointment first without me, mine was scheduled for a later date without him. While at the new patient appointment I was weighed and my breathing was listened to, outside of that I was just asked general questions about my self and my medical history and if I had any concerns or issues that should be noted. This is all that was done. Later on we get a bill for {$260.00} for only my visit, not my husband 's. I reached out to them asking why we were being charged, they said it was because my husband 's visit was labeled as preventative so it was covered but mine was labeled as diagnostic. The doctor who asked me questions about myself, concerns, and medical history, who did the same thing to my husband, took my answers as diagnostic even though he didn't diagnose anything or inform me that if I answered honestly I would be charged, but took my husband 's answers as preventative because my husband answered that he didn't have concerns. I sent XXXX an email when I noticed the bill, before it was sent to debt collectors, asking why. Here 's my email : " Good evening, I've received an email that our bill will go to Collections soon unless we pay however we are being billed incorrectly. My husband and I went to our first appointment that was essentially a physical, there was nothing extra or special that was done at these visits. According to our insurance the visit is being billed as diagnostic instead of preventative. I've read the notes for the appointment, other than answering the doctor 's questions about how I've been doing no other services were provided. I went in with the understanding that this was a preventative visit covered under the insurance and feel blindsided by this bill. I also don't understand why my husband 's visit was correctly logged as preventative while mine is categorized as diagnostic. We would also like to know what process to take to stop this bill from going to collections while we sort out what the issue is. '' Their response back before they stopped replying and completely ignored me then proceeded to send my bill to debt collections anyway was : " [ My last name retracted ], my name is XXXX and I'm with XXXX XXXX. You recently contacted us regarding your XX/XX/XXXX date of service, account [ account number retracted ]. This appointment was made as a new patient visit to establish care and the doctor 's note indicate that is what services were performed, a taking of medical history, obtaining a list of current medications and current medical issues. Physicals are not done on a new patient visit. Please provide your husband 's name and date of birth if he would like his visit reviewed as well. '' And my final response to them, that they never responded to : " Hi XXXX, What's the difference between the new account and a physical? Can you send a list of what would have made these two things different? Is there a reason why these new account requests aren't done through a Form or other electronic means if all they are are just providing information and health history? What flags this as diagnostic if that's all it is as well? I'm being charged nearly {$300.00} just get my weight taken and respiration listened to? How is this a diagnosis? And why do you sometimes place these visits under Preventative vs Diagnostic while not offering anything different? If the difference comes with answering the questions the doctor asks and asking more questions I wouldn't have answered nor asked if I'd been told up front that this would have lead to a {$300.00} charge. '' This was the final exchange, they never responded back, and apparently sent my bill to debt collections anyway. This seems to be a very shady process, incorrectly billing and then no longer answering. I can only assume that they knew they were in the wrong and assumed it wouldn't be worth it to fight a {$260.00} bill.

I had an account with XXXX XXXX water delivery service that has been paid off, but they continued to charge me after cancelation and after being notified of their error, and the ensuing balance is now an invalid debt held by Associated Credit Services. On XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXXXXXX XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX to dispute a bill and cancel my service. Over the course of a 23 minute phone call, I canceled my service, arranged for my water dispenser to be picked up, and paid my balance of {$160.00} XXXX {$220.00} bill - {$60.00} late fee that they removed ). The representative who spoke to me removed the late fee from my account because I had not been notified that I was still being billed at all. I had mistakenly thought that the service had been canceled some time back, and during this phone call cleared that up. XXXX XXXX did not show up when they were supposed to in order to collect the water dispenser. The next month, they sent me a bill even though I had already canceled my account. On XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX to dispute them sending me a bill after I had canceled. Over the course of a 14 minute phone call, they apologized for this, removed all fees from my account, and arranged to pick up their water dispenser. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX came and picked up their water dispenser from me. Several months later, on XX/XX/XXXX, at around XXXXXXXX XXXX I got a call from XXXX XXXX about my balance. I called back a few minutes later, but they claimed that they had already turned my account over to collections in those few minutes. I called the collections agency right after that, and they said they did not have my account but would call me when it showed up, which would be in about an hour. About 2 weeks later, on XX/XX/XXXX, the collections agency, Associated Credit Services, finally called me to tell me they had the debt at that point. I explained to them that I had canceled my account, and that I had called again a second time, after I had already canceled but XXXX XXXX was continued to charge me, and that the charges on my account for equipment rental were incorrect since I no longer had the equipment. Sometime around the same time, I got two debt validation letters from Associated Credit Services, both with different amounts from XXXX XXXX. I sent a written reply to both letters saying I disputed the validity of the debt. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a debt verification letter from Associated Credit Services containing a series of bills from XXXX XXXX. The bills sent to me corroborate everything that I told them : there is a payment on XX/XX/XXXX along with the removal of a late fee on that same date ; another bill shows the removal of a charge for equipment rental on XX/XX/XXXX, along with a notation that on XX/XX/XXXX, that they picked up 1 " equipment '' and 3 empty water jugs from me. The bills sent to me show that the debt they are trying to collect is for the $ XXXX monthly " rent '' for the water dispenser, charged long after I canceled my service and they agreed to come get the dispenser, and long after they actually did show up to get the dispenser. I have documentation of the dates, times, and length of the phone calls ; of the bills that the collections agency failed to look at before sending them to me, including all notations on the bills described herein ; and of the text notification they sent right before they came to pick up the water dispenser. I'm attaching the documentation of the phone calls, and can provide the other documents upon request.

Account # : XXXXname of reporting company : Associated Credit Services Collections DepartmentDear XXXX dispute officer ; Please be advised that the creditor, XXXX/XXXX is being challenged and in the dispute process for the reasons stated below : The account belonged to my former tenants XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, who can be reached via their social security numbers and current addresses which are on file with XXXX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX alleged that there was a shared meter issue prior to the tenants moving out. After over XXXX attempts for the shared meter department to respond to an investigation, their findings results were that there was NOT any shared meters in the entire building. In XX/XX/XXXX there was a complete re-wiring for all of the apartments in the building to new meters and there was XXXX meter installed per unit. Permits were obtained from XXXX XXXX XXXX, and after a certified electrician re-wired and installed the new meters, XXXX XXXX XXXX sent an inspector to approve the proper wiring of the new meters according to their codes and we were given the authorization for use. XXXX XXXX XXXX never sent any invoices regarding the above matter to me at my home address. When I was notified by Associated Credit, I asked for the invoices and bills from XXXX I was informed that I did not receive them because they were not sent to my residing address. XXXX continued to provide electricity after months of non-payment which is not a common business practice for Utility companies. I am writing this letter after several attempts to reach XXXX XXXX XXXX and requests for copies of the re-wiring inspection reports, and all shared meter allegations, and finally the dated approvals and passed inspections that were granted by XXXX XXXX XXXX inspector. Finally, based on my attorneys ' findings, it is not Pennsylvania state law to refer outstanding utilities and bills to the landlord. XX/XX/XXXX Dear Sir or Madame, I am requesting guidance on how to hold a collection agency and two billing companies accountable for damaging my credit score by purposefully and maliciously, submitting a debt I did not owe to the credit bureaus as a charge -off. This was done knowingly during my protected dispute period., as I was trying to get documentation to resolve the issue. Here are the facts : 1 ) I received a bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, P.O. Box XXXX, XXXX, PA XXXX for {$250.00} for services rendered for an in-network procedure completed in XX/XX/XXXX. 2 ) I called them to request more documentation as I should not have had a balance after my co-pay, as my deductible was met. They said they had no records and to contact XXXX at XXXX XXXX At XXXX. XXXX said he could not help as he had no records as the billing company was sold. 2 ) I then disputed the debt in writing within 14 days of receipt of the bill requesting further documentation. I received none. ( I have written to all parties every 30-days to support my obligation under the law. ) 3 ) I called XXXX XXXX my health insurance carrier and they told XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to put collections on hold, because it was in the process of being paid by the carrier. XXXX XXXX XXXX ignored this and referred the alleged debt to Associated Credit Services , Inc., P.O. Box XXXX, XXXX, MA XXXX. I immediately sent a written dispute which is included. 4 ) Along with that dispute I included a check for {$26.00} as a good faith payment only toward any balance documented in the meantime. This was done to show good faith to prevent the matter from going into collections. 5 ) They cashed my check and did not respond in writing or by phone as requested. 6 ) Today, I called XXXX and spoke with XXXX who reported that I was mistakenly balance-billed and never owed anything other than the co-pay I made at the time of service. 7 ) XXXX can be contacted at XXXX option # 2, referencing interaction number XXXX and she could document that there never was a debt. I explained this to all parties and provided her contact information. It was ignored and not pursued. 8 ) Today XX/XX/XXXX, I called Associated Credit Services , Inc. and reached XXXX XXXX who reported the could not remove the charge-off collection from any of the credit bureaus. I asked why they pursued it during my dispute period within which I had disputed it in writing. He said they never received a letter which is false, as they cashed my check. 9 ) The false entry to the credit bureaus has caused me damage because they were illegally made during the protected dispute period, violating my federal rights. My credit score dropped XXXX points 10 ) This had an effect on interest rates on current debts and constricted my access to credit based on my previously XXXX score. These companies have recklessly and wantonly trampled on my Federal rights and must be held responsible. Respectfully,

I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report this week and I found multiple inaccuracies on my credit report from the 3 major credit bureaus from a collection company that I never have dealt with before. I've attempted several times to ratify the issue with the original creditors and credit bureaus and they still reporting inaccurate, unverifiable information. I have disputed this item with the credit reporting agency and they reported you confirmed the account as valid. I honestly do not believe to ever have any relationship with this collection agency or original creditor. Also there are several inaccuracies with this account the way it's reporting and that's a total violation of FCRA and FDCPA laws and regulations. In a good faith effort to resolve the matter amicably, I must demand proof of this debt, specifically the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature, as well as proof of your authority in this matter. Absent such proof, you must correct any erroneous reports of this past debt as mine. I am writing to request that you please provide the following information : 1. Please evidence your authorization under 15 USC 1692 ( e ) and 15 USC 1692 ( f ) in this alleged matter. 2. What is your authorization of law for your collection of information? 3. What is your authorization of law for your collection of this alleged debt? 4. Please evidence your authorization to do business or operate in this state. 5. Please evidence proof of the alleged debt, including the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature. 6. Please provide a complete account history, including any charges added for collection activity. You have 30 days upon receipt of this letter to provide strict proof of contract. In the event you can not provide strict proof of contract, you must cease and desist any and all collection efforts and immediately remove any derogatory information reported to the consumer reporting agencies. In addition, you will need to provide me your agreement, in writing, that you are closing your file, ceasing collecting activity, and deleting all information related to this reference number from any and all credit reports youve furnished the information to. In the event you transfer this account to an attorney without providing proof of contract, and proving your claim, he/she will be immediate reported to the XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX for code of ethics violations.

Charged me for a utilities and refused to accept proof that I was not residing at property at time bill was made. No record of call to disconnect. I paid this company 's hired collection agency ( Assoiated Credit Services ) {$410.00} in order to remove a debt from my credit reports related to a bill that I did not make for utilities. I have explained that I moved away from property. I left the state for a contract travel assignment for work on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX was notified on XX/XX/XXXX but they conveniently lost the record of my call. The owner of the property will not remove it due to a unrelated dispute. The property was vacant but billing continued for XXXX months after I vacated. I received a bill on XX/XX/XXXX and promptly notified XXXX XXXX that there had been a mistake and requested service be disconnected. There was no previous balance due. I was told that there would be an investigation and I would receive a final bill minus the time I was away from property but I would be contacted by a supervisor if they needed my documents of proof. I never received any further correspondence. I restarted my credit monitoring service a few months ago and noticed that I had been referred for collection. I immediately called XXXX XXXX to resolve matter but was informed that ASC was in full control of collections and they refused to accept a payment. The representative also suggested I file a dispute with the credit bureaus and explain the matter. and/or file a dispute with the credit bureau. I called ASC and explained the whole ordeal of moving and not being notified or aware of bill or collection efforts. I was told to call XXXX XXXX to have matter corrected and/or dispute the inaccuracy with the credit bureaus. I explained that I was willing to pay debt to expedite the removal despite not owing bill, the ASC representative agreed and said I would get a receipt in mail but they could not put in writing that they would delete. I was told by XXXX XXXX and Associated credit services to " call the credit bureau and challenge the debt ''. I did, XXXX reports that ASC verified the debt was valid and that no payment had been made. I have a contract for employment with a start date XX/XX/XXXX in South Dakota on a remote XXXX XXXX. It is not possible that I made the bill for utilities. Someone was residing at the residence. I am positive I called to disconnect service.

Two weeks ago I received a notification/alert from XXXX XXXX Identity Theft Protection that an account in the amount of XXXX had been opened in my name. I had not opened one so I called them. They verified that an account had been opened by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( " XXXX '' ), XXXX, MA phone number XXXX XXXX XXXX. I had no idea what this was about so I called them and they said I owed XXXX. They told me it was due to XXXX XXXX and that it was for my address in XXXX. I said I don't live in XXXX and they told me the address in XXXX. That was my son 's former apartment. He has not lived there in more than XXXX XXXX, but sublet the apartment up until XXXX XXXX XXXX. Apparently the bill was for the final gas bill. When he got the apartment, XXXX XXXX wanted to use my name as he had little credit history. ( I have not seen the bill, so I can only assume that the bill and amount are both correct and that I owed this amount. ) I told XXXX I never received the bill. They told me several copies of the bill had been sent and I asked where ; the bills had been sent to that XXXX address. I explained that no one was at the apartment who could have received it. I told them that I wanted to see the bill ( have not received it yet ), but to resolve this quickly because it went on my credit report, I paid it. It is quite disturbing that they would report me to the credit bureaus without trying to contact me at my correct address or call me about it. I learned from XXXX today that my score dropped XXXX points on account of this, as it falls into the very negative category of collections. I was about to apply for a personal loan and this impacts me financially quite severely. I checked with the two other credit bureaus and found similar effects. I have filed disputes with each of the agencies. This is unacceptable, predatory behavior and would ask that you investigate XXXX and reprimand them or censure them, or take other appropriate legal action. I am an XXXX ( I do not do consumer finance ), so I will have to see if this will have lasting impact. If this account remains on my credit report, I will strongly consider filing a suit agains XXXX. There is no way a credit report filing should follow on a debt that is not that old and when no one used due diligence to locate me and send me the bill at my correct address.

I received a call today from Associated Credit Services, Inc which I initially missed but subsequently returned on XX/XX/2018 at XXXX and interacted with a representative for 1min and 43sec during which the representative stated that the call was being recorded. I also record calls which I determine are potentially fraudulent because I am still dealing with the aftermath of my identity theft. I informed the representative that my identity had been compromised and therefore I was also recording the conversation for my own records. I also asked that Associated Credit Services , Inc. validate the alleged debt. I was interrupted by the representative who stated she did not consent to me recording the call. To which I responded if that was the case then I also did not consent to the call and that Associated Credit Services , Inc. cease and desist from calling me. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX states " An individual who is a party to either an in-person conversation or electronic communication, or who has the consent of one of the parties to the communication, can lawfully record it, unless the person is doing so for the purpose of committing a criminal or tortious act. '' As indicated in the attached recording I was only recording the conversation to protect my interests and not for the purposes of committing a criminal or totious act nor was I attempting to record the call in secret. My credit has already been severely damaged as a result of identity theft and as a result at the advice of my attorney I have recorded ALL interactions that involve debt collections in the event I need evidence for court that the collection agency is violating my rights under the FDCPA. Furthermore I am of the opinion that Associated Credit Services , Inc. asking for and recording my personal information over the phone is a privacy violation. I do not at feel comfortable sharing PII over the phone or it being recorded because I have no way have knowing who has access my PII, what security measures are put in place to prevent my PII from further compromise, what auditing procedures are in place to ensure only the personnel that needs access in order to perform their jobs has that access, and what processes/procedures are in place to permanently dispose of my PII while ensuring confidentiality.

On XX/XX/2021 I received a letter from ASSOCIATED CREDIT SERVICES , INC sent me a letter via mail stating I owed a debt and that legal action can be taken and any information will be used against me to collect such debt. The letter has my personal information all over it. After I received the letter I started receiving calls from the company mentioned above stating I owed a debt and any information would be used against me to collect the debt. When I answered the phone the lady did not follow the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Congress has declared abusive practices are abundant and that is why they enacted the FDCPA due to inadequate existing laws.By definition under the FDCPA the above mentioned company is a Debt collector they said so themselves on the phone and in their letter. They violated 1692b by asking if I was who I am but did not state it was to correct or confirm location information. They stated I owed such debt. They contacted me without my permission. They used language and symbols that relate to an collection of debt.Under 1692c they violated that section by communicating with me without my permission and an unusual time and place. They communicated with Third parties without my consent given directly to them. They violated 1692d using harassment or abusive words and tactics. They caused my phone to ring repeatedly. They also used obscene and profane language on the phone and in the letter to abuse the hearer or reader. This company mentioned previously above violated 1692e using false or misleading representations. This company violated 1692f with Unfair practices. I stated for them to validate the debt pursuant to title 15 U.S. Code 1692g and they did not send anything. There for this company is liable to me pursuant to Title 15 U.S. Code 1692k in the amount of {$14000.00} and any damages a court may award. I demand this company compensate me for causing such XXXX XXXX XXXX to my XXXX XXXX and due to the abundance of evidence they violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act the supporting documents shall be uploaded. Affidavit will be sent to company.

On XX/XX/2018, at XXXX XXXX, I placed an 8 minute call to Associated Credit Services ( ACS ) in XXXX, MA at ( XXXX ) XXXX regarding a debt collection that appeared on my credit report that morning. I had received no notification regarding the debt or the original creditor to that point, and was told by the ACS rep that it was a XXXX XXXX account ( and if I had any disputes, to contact them directly ). I contacted XXXX XXXX at ( XXXX ) XXXX on XX/XX/2018 at XXXX XXXX. I was told by the customer service rep ( XXXX ) that I could pay XXXX XXXX directly over the phone. I asked whether the account could be pulled out out of collection first ( as it had only been placed for collection several days earlier ) and he said yes. I then proceeded to pay the entire amount allegedly owed by me with my debit card to ensure the collection would be resolved and removed from my credit report. I waited a couple days for the payment to clear, and several days more to see if my credit report updated. It did not. I then filed a dispute with all 3 credit bureaus, and received a response this morning showing that the collection account was updated to " Paid in full. '' I never paid Associated Credit Services - ever. They did not have collection authority at the time I resolved the balance as XXXX XXXX had taken it out of collection and allowed me to pay in full directly to them. Had ACS exercised its due diligence in investigating disputes per the FCRA, it should have obtained the information from XXXX XXXX regarding the revocation of authority effective XX/XX/18. Without collection authority, ACS had no legal right to update the status of the collection upon receiving notice of the dispute. It should have been deleted entirely. I can prove legal damages as well as I was in the middle of refinancing my home when this issue arose and I have unable to continue with that process. As an XXXX I am prepared to challenge this violation in court if I must, as well as involve the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the XXXX if needed. I hope I do not need to take these steps.

I had 2 credit card with the XXXX bank which were sold to XXXX bank. I had a law suit filed by XXXX Bank against me re one of the credit card in XXXX. Somewhere around XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX I received the phone call from Associated Credit Services. Since one credit card was in the legal dispute and only attorneys could communicate on the subject I thought that Associated Credit Card Services Rep is talking about the second card and I settled the debt for {$3000.00} with the Associated Credit Services , Inc ph : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXXXXXX and this settlement was fully paid ( {$1000.00} withdrawn from my account on XXXX XXXX ; XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ). Meanwhile I also settled the credit card which was in the legal dispute through my attorney and also paid the settlement fully and the file was closed on the court level. Later I discovered that both settlement were done for the same credit card ( not two different accounts ). I called XXXX Bank and they said that they never received the settlement from Associated credit services nevertheless they sent me 1099 C form with the debt discharge and the amount corresponds to Associated Credit Services settlement. They reject to discuss and say that they never received the money from Associated credit services. I haven't received the confirmation of the settlement from either Associated Credit Services or XXXX Bank after multiple requests. XXXXt bank denies that the settlement with Associated Credited exist and that they received the money and Associated credit Services has been promising email/mail the confirmation of the settlement since XXXX, XXXX. I made multiple phone calls to Associated Credit Services and they always say it's on its way. I talked to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX and other people. It's already about 3 months since I am trying to resolve the issue and none of the parties involved acknowledge the settlement done by associated Credit Services with official letter and XXXX Bank denies it at all. I apid for the same settlement twice and it seams like a fraud

Associated Credit Services Inc. began calling me on XX/XX/XXXX regarding a charged off credit card consolidation account. I believe my account originating from XXXX XXXX switched companies at some point prior to this. Up until about three weeks ago, it was being handled by a company called XXXX Co. I have six different unsecured accounts at the moment. Only one of those companies ever had the actual decency to write to me and e-mail me notifying me that they've sold the account to another company, and every other time I end up finding out through trial and error, but I digress. This complaint pertains directly to Associated Credit Services Inc. I received their initial contact letter at the beginning of XXXX. I sent them a small monthly payment check and a printed response letter on XX/XX/XXXX. Part of my letter reads : " Please do not call me. I am NOT demanding that you cease all communications with me, but please only contact me in writing. '' Well, my bank records show my check cleared on XX/XX/XXXX, so I know there's no question on whether or not they received my letter. They tried calling me again at the end of the day on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, not only did they NOT comply with my peaceful request to stop calling me, they actually escalated their activities. They called my cell phone again at XXXX AM. They also tried to call my XXXX mother 's home phoneline a minute later at XXXX AM to start bothering her for no reason when she has nothing to do with my debt. They've been notified in writing to only contact me in writing. How much more XXXX can they get? I've attached phone logs of all the call attempts for reference. Im also attaching a copy of my letter I sent them. My cell phone is set to forward unknown callers directly to voice mail without ringing my phone. It doesn't block calls. I have never spoken to Associated Credit Services Inc. on the phone personally, nor do I intend to. From my experience, phone conversations are where things start going wrong, and then everyone ends up debating over who said what later on.

I received a letter dated XX/XX/2019 trying to collect {$20000.00}. The FDCPA aka Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I have every right to request validation of the debt you say I owe you. Associated Credit Services must supply physical proof that I am the person you are asking to pay this debt and that there is some sort of contractual obligation that is binding on me to pay this debt. This is absolutely not a request for verification or proof of my mailing address, but a real request for validation made pursuant to 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 ( b ) of the FDCPA. I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you. I am requesting for the following : Agreement with your client that grants you the authority to collect on this alleged debt. Agreement that bears the signature of the alleged debtor wherein he/she agreed to pay the creditor. Any insurance claims been made by any creditor regarding this account. Any Judgments obtained by any creditor regarding this account. Name and address of alleged creditor. Name on file of alleged debtor. Alleged account number. Address on file for alleged debtor. Amount of alleged debt. Date this alleged debt became payable. Date of original charge off or delinquency. Verification that this debt was assigned or sold to collector. Complete accounting of alleged debt. Commission for debt collector if collection efforts are successful. Please provide the name and address of the bonding agent for Associated Credit Services , Inc. in case legal action becomes necessary. Your claim can not and will not be considered or accepted if any portion of the above is not completed and returned with copies of all requested documents. This is a request for validation made pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Please allow 30 days for processing after I receive this information back. Finally, I demand that your company cease all phone calls and robo calls immediately. Thank you.

Today on this date of Wednesday, XX/XX/2022, I reached out to Associated Credit Service Inc. regarding an account that they are stating that I have with them. After having given them my name and social security number, I was then asked to verify my home address. I gave them my current address as well as all the ( XXXX ) previous addresses that I've lived at. They then stated that none the addresses were the correct address that they have on file in regard to this account. The person handling the call then stated that since we can not verify the address, that there is nothing we can do moving forward. ( Paraphrasing ) I then contacted XXXX in attempt to see what my next steps should be. The rep. expressed that she would update the dispute. I additionally contacted XXXX and the rep. stated that I should contact the Federal Trade Commission to initiate a claim, which upon starting said claim I was redirected here. I used to be a customer of XXXX XXXX and be paperless enrolled and make all my payments via automatic payments. I never missed a payment from of utilities. In XXXX I moved from XXXX to XXXX and closed the XXXX XXXX account and I was expecting that any remaining balance should be paid via automatic payment. Since that, I never received any final bill my to my current address. Also, I never received any call or email from XXXX XXXX. Just a quick remember that I was used to receive my communication and bills via email because I was paperless enrolled. On XXXX, I received an alert from XXXX about a Collection account was reported to my credit report, I call XXXX to understand the details and I was informed that the company ASSOC CREDIT SERVICES reported a debt collection and the original debt is from XXXX XXXX. I got very surprise because I never received any notice of this debt from XXXX XXXX or the Collection company. In the same day of XXXX, I call the collection company and paid in full and requested to than to remove this derogatory account from the credit bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) because I neves received any notice, however I was informed by the agent they were not able to do that. Since that, I started to open disputes of this collection account report in my credit report directly with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. In the next day, XXXX, XXXX accepted my dispute due the argument that I never receive any notice and because they know I never missed a payment and this was a mistake. On XXXX I call XXXX to get the status of my dispute and I was told they can't remove because that account belongs to me. I did not accepted their decision and I placed I new dispute. XXXX information from phone and website are very incomplete and inconsistent, it has been impossible to follow this dispute with XXXX. The dispute number is XXXX. XXXX has never provided a feedback.

I canceled my gym membership over the phone with XXXX XXXX. When asked what bank I wanted the close out fees deducted from I provided my existing bank ( XXXX XXXX ). An employee working the counter at the gym took my bank account and routing number. She then charged an old bank on file ( XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ) that had been closed for 2 years for {$49.00} on on XX/XX/XXXX. In her defense they have very similar account numbers, but completely different routing and bank names. I then spoke with XXXX XXXX ( handles billing for XXXX XXXX ) who fully admitted fault in writing. I offered this admission in writing to XXXX XXXX, who told me they would contact me and let me know if they needed the information, but never took my evidence, and completed the case weeks later by sending me a letter saying no fraudulent activity was found ( after their own agents told me to open the fraud case in the first place ). To be clear, I never gave XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX authorization to charge a XXXX XXXX account , in any dollar amount. XXXX XXXX reopened my XXXX year old closed account and debited the amount, and then charged me overdraft fees and it was sent to collections before I ever knew what was going on. I am a Financial Advisor and it is very important that I do not have debt settlements or collections as it could effect my licenses. The money is a minor amount and not the issue for me. It's the principle that I provided correct, updated bank information, and a bank that I haven't used for anything and has been closed for over 2 years is extorting me for petty overdraft fees. This is bad business and absolutely fraud. Additional info : I updated my bank account information with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX online, and took the time to be extra careful and read out the entire account number and routing number for XXXXXXXX XXXX to the representative at XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX.

I feel that they gave me a bad experience and probably lied to me by ... Saying that paid in full would do me more good than settle than less than full balance would be more beneficial on my credit report and would increase my points higher, I could say that Im most likely sure that that was a lie. Assumed that I did not have money and made me feel bad about it by saying that I should not schedule a payment if I'm not going to afford it, Also at the beginning of the call he said that next time that I call he would not give me the same offer because it was just for today XX/XX/2021 and then he tried telling me that it was better to wait to think about it and then call back whenever I had money next week ( in other words trying to make me lose the settlement and trying to charge me more next time that I call ) but I let him know that I noticed that and then after him promising settlement offer until the XXXX he decided to change it to the XXXX of the month leaving me with less time to come up with the funds for the settlement. He also tried to force me in to a payment arrangement of the original balance even though I told him plenty of times that I was not able to come up with that much money because of my situation that I also let him know and the previous collector that, Also I fell that he lied about not being able to see the previous collector notes because later on the call he stared to say that he was reading lasts offers on the notes. I also tried to be reasonable and think that there was just confusions between me and the collector but as the call continued I knew that it was not a confusion and the collector most likely had no good intentions at helping me like he said.

This is regarding a collection notice that I have received from Associated Credit services. This pertains to an XXXX XX/XX/XXXX bill for the delivery of my child on XX/XX/2018. XXXXXX/XX/XXXX was the provider for this service. I was covered on my own insurance by XXXX XXXX Member ID XXXX until the day my baby was born and subsequently me and my child became a dependent on my spouses plan on the day of her birth with member ID XXXX. XXXXXX/XX/XXXX failed to bill the right insurance member ID and hence failed to collect their fees in a timely manner. I was covered by my insurance, old and new through the entire course of these events and continue to be covered to this day. I have confirmed with my carrier that they have billed the wrong ID. I should to be penalized for a billing that was improperly submitted. It is not my job to take care of billing an insurance company. Subsequently they sent my bill to collections - Associated Credit Services who I tried to call and explain my problem. I asked them for a number to call the XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and they said they cant disclose the number and I should XXXX it and call them. I did XXXX but didnt end up having a person respond on the other end. I have called the hospital itself in hopes of getting directed to the XX/XX/XXXX billing department multiple times without response. The numbers I have called are XXXX and XXXX I called Associated credit services again and they said they are a collections company and cant help me with this. I have unfortunately not been able to speak directly to XXXXXX/XX/XXXXdue to lack of a contact number or paper bill

Hello ; this is strange! I was applying for some random accounts and noticed that is a collection flagged into my account which I was never notified and mailed me a letter about.

I discontinued service with XXXX XXXX ( original creditor ) in XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX made no attempt to contact me about a past due balance prior to selling the account to Associated Credit Service, a collection agency. I did not become aware of the debt until noticing the collection account for {$340.00} on all three of my credit files. Associated Credit did not inform me prior to posting the derogatory information in my credit files. According to the date listed in XXXX, the collection information was posted over 60 days ago with no contact from Associated during that time. I offered to pay the balance to XXXX XXXX if they could remove the collection but was told they could do nothing about it except updating the account as paid however XXXX XXXX can remove the negative information. XXXX XXXX claims that they sold the account off to Associated and are no longer responsible for any collection activity. I paid the {$340.00} balance to Associated Credit and asked that the negative information be removed a second time. Again my request was denied and I was told that XXXX XXXX would need to take action. The account they are collecting for was included in bankruptcy filed in XXXX XXXX and discharged XXXX XXXX. It is somewhat a grey area weather or not the balance was even collectable as at the time the bankruptcy was filed a balance was owed on the account but payments were continued to maintain electric service. A new account number was never issued.

You can go ahead and investigate this company. I have been trying to resolve a bill with XXXX XXXX and have spoken to them today on XXXX/XXXX/2016 in regards to my account and they said one thing they never do is put anything on folks credit report if they agree upon or trying to pay off debt. The only reason i had a big bill is because a consumer used my name fraud without my permission saying it will save me money on my bill. We are currently in court resolving this issue. See documents attached. This company has called me NUMEROUS times and i advised them of my situation. As they seem to be understanding however no one has took action nor updated the systems any time i called or a rep called. Then i called again today and told them i will not pay them anything until they take my name off the credit report and they told me they would sue me. I find that really funny because that is against the law not only that only i am able to sue you guys for the many phone calls i received and the lies and miscommunication. i have my notes of every single phone call and rep i spoke with and will show all this in court. I will be reporting them to every single media outlet i know. It is n't right. I want to pay my debt and have no problem doing so but if i am TRYING to do something DO NOT LIE and go behind my back and do something WE agreed upon. Regardless of what i want this off my credit report as i am making payments period point blank.

Associated Credit Services , Inc.- While attempting to collect a {$600.00} bill that is not mine, reached out via phone to advise me of a bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX This bill was from address XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I have never resided or had utilities in my name at that address. ( See attached expired federal drivers license with address of residence ) XXXX XXXX was a rental property that someone else owned/rented from and I moved before the residence 's electric was shut off, but because they are trying to add the two meters ( on the same home ) together, I am now receiving this unpaid bill, almost 5 years later. No way, it's not mine and I am formally disputing BOTH companies record of this because it is inaccurate. I did ask for a copy of the bill when I was first notified to verify it was actually mine, the address on the bill clearly states XXXX XXXX, not XXXX. All documents are attached. Please do not have them contact me, take payments from me and send that bill back to XXXX XXXX so I can dispute and handle legally with that company. The gentleman I spoke to at Associated Credit Services was extremely rude and ignorant discussing this issue with me- he clearly has no idea what is going on and didn't care to hear it ( outside of his mindset ) He should not be dealing or handling ANY customer service issues whatsoever. Any questions please feel free to reach out to me. Thank you in advance.

I have a bill from firsts energy of {$280.00} and when I first moved from the property that it was owned it was {$400.00}. I have been in communication with first energy and they 've told me several times that they will NOT PUT THIS ON MY CREDIT REPORT as long as I make payments. Does n't matter how much I make long as I put something towards it. They also mentioned that with the system they have it may have to still go to collections bc its old however it wo n't go on my credit report. So associated credit services called me SEVERAL times and I explained to them my situation and assured them many times the status. Last call was one week ago and I let them know I made a payment. So I just made a payment a week ago and advised every time I get paid I will make a payment So the lady said se was willing to work with me and will also keep it from going on my credit report. Yet I see it on my credit report and different reps at this office said different things. I am doing my best to pay this off and I do n't want to be harassed and threated and on my credit report. Most people do n't even make attempts but I do and will keepon until its paid. I have a illness that kept me from work so I could n't pay the big amount of {$50.00} like I was as I was behind on so much but again I have been working on it. So I want them investigated and shut down for all this mess they just caused with it being on my credit report.

To whom it may concern On XX/XX/2023 I've signed up with XXXX credit reporting agency for a 30 day trial to see whats in my credit report. I saw that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MA XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX have placed a negative credit on my file without them notifying me of the debt and my rights respectively, immediately I contacted them and they said that they did send the correspondence to my old address, so I told them that I've moved to another State " and you ( ASSOC CREDIT SERVICES ) know about it because National Grid told you so '' they dismissed it that that's not there problem. I told ASSOC CREDIT SERVICES that I have communicated with National Grid by email only and I only paid them online ( they did send me statements be mail as well ) however any notification has been sent by email only, and you got from National Grid my cell number and email address because it's on file there, but didn't attempt trying to reach me, they rather had everything done on autopilot thus screwing the customers in the process. On XX/XX/XXXX, I've called ASSOC CREDIT SERVICES to complain about it and was told that they will look into it, and on XX/XX/XXXX I called and spoke to XXXX XXXX and then to Supervisor XXXX XXXX XXXX they both told me that they are not going to work with me. Additionally they've refused to send me correspondence to my current residence. XXXX XXXX

Hello, I have been sent to a debt collector by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding a consumer loan for equipment purchased from XXXX XXXX XXXX systems. I XXXX XXXX XXXX, and I closed my account with both companies in XX/XX/2022. I received written notification from XXXX stating they closed my account and sent the information to XXXX to close my debt and that the equipment was returned. I have contact XXXX multiple times average once a month since XX/XX/2022, I was told it could take up to 30 days for the information to reach them and the account to be closed. Every attempt to resolve this issue with XXXX has resulted with them hanging up on me or never answering the phone. On XX/XX/XXXX I was on the phone with XXXX and XXXX customer service ( Conference call ) for 48 min. The XXXX XXXX told the XXXX rep that my account was closed and that I shouldn't owe any money, I then informed the XXXX XXXX that they actually owed me money due to them continuously pulling money out of my account for almost a year until I finally put a stop payment on them thru my bank. About a min after I informed them of this the call was dropped. I have now been sent a letter from Associated Credit Services , INC that I owe {$1600.00}. Please assist me in this and let me know what else you need from me. Thank you very much XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX

I have gotten cell phone calls from Associated Credit Services XXXX XXXX demanding payment for a medical debt that was paid in XXXX. The caller said they would continue to contact me unless I sent them proof of payment. I directed the agent to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX billing dept at XXXX XXXX XXXX to confirm the payment of XXXX.. ( payment of {$50.00} XXXX & {$310.00} XX/XX/XXXX. ) I also asked why their client did not notify them of the payment. I contacted the group to confirm that they had gotten my payment. I was told by XXXX XXXX XXXX that I did have a XXXX balance on my account. I was told by the agent they would forward this information to the collection agency. This call was on XX/XX/XXXX. Today XX/XX/XXXX I got another call from Associated Credit Services demanding payment on the dept. I told the agent it had been paid in XXXX and they were trying to collect on a debt. that was already paid. I was told they would continue to call me until I send proof to them that I paid the bill. I said they needed to contact their client. I have never heard of a situation when a client wouldn't notify the collection agency of a payment. The caller refused and said it was up to me to prove I paid. Again I called XXXX. and was told this would be communicated to ACS and confirmed that there was a XXXX balance due.

I contacted associated credit service to try to resolve an outstanding balance of {$350.00} when speaking to agent and explaining if they received my insurance coverage letter that i faxed in agent was very rude to and said that they do not care if i faxed any information or not that it is not their fault that i owe this amount and that i should pay asap. while explaining again about my insurance coverage that they initially requested agent said he does not care and that i should contact my insurance or the people i owe money to so i would not be in these situations. i asked to speak to a supervisor agent refused by saying he is a supervisor and can not transfer me to any other person when i threatened to report him to consumer finance agent immediately transferred me to someone else but before he did he said it is my responsibility to pay not to blame someone else name mercado or mercada. Agent as well kept cutting me off when trying to explain.agent i spoke to said he does not know how other agencies handle things but his agency has a different approach at collecting a debt. i feel threaten now specially that they know my address and personal information. and by the way they responded i feel they might use this information misleading.

In mid XXXX ( XXXX ) we moved into our apartment, got offered through the company XXXX XXXX for water deliveries, coming straight to the door and a water dispenser. Had them for about a year and found out I was deploying in XXXX of XXXX so I moved my wife back to family in Florida transferred the account where we continued the account for about 5 months before my wife moved back up because I was coming home. Canceled the account in that process and verified on multiple accounts that our account was paid in full and that there would be 0 surprise bills, all were negative, everything was paid, and no bills would come. Now, we've been getting calls from a debt collector saying we owe XXXX of dollars, we owe on the water dispenser, we owe for late fees, and the company can't even get into our account to tell us what it is we owe on. I've looked into this problem through XXXX XXXX and it has apparently happened to multiple people, same problems cancelling accounts, somehow months later their account isn't cancelled its suspended for missed payments. I would like this to be solved to prevent scares to other people who as well thought this would be a great deal.

Due to administrative error, the debt was sold to XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX XX/XX/2022. I also received a letter from XXXX XXXX dated XXXX XXXX. I contacted XXXX about this, and they confirmed on XXXX XXXX, both via phone call and email, that the fraud claim was substantiated and I was not responsible for the debt. Further, they stated that they had purchased the debt back from XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX I received a letter from Associated Credit Services saying that I still owed the debt. I did so, however when I returned a phone call from ACS later in the day I was told that my fraud claim had been rescinded and that I need to pay a minimum of {$3200.00} to clear the debt. I refused to do so and the agent ended the call.

The amount was paid in full to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/19 and after XXXX XXXX removed the collection from my credit reports. On XX/XX/2019, I received a credit alert stating Associated Credit Services has reported on this same collection that was paid off. I called a representative to inquire about this collection and stated that it was not only paid in full to XXXX XXXX but that this collection was under XXXX XXXX. The agent then asked that I send in " proof ' that it was paid to take it off my report. I asked why was Associated Credit Services asking for proof of payment when the collection was with another collection agency and that the collection was paid in full to XXXX XXXX. I then asked when was the account given to Associated Credit services and the agent stated XX/XX/XXXX which is the exact same time the debt was paid in full. The agent could not answer any questions and couldn't tell me when they " allegedly '' got this account from XXXX XXXX after being paid in full.

I am a victim of identity theft. I have taken proper steps to protect my identity. I was alerted by my credit monitoring service on XX/XX/2022 that I had new activity on my credit report. Under further investigation I found that XXXX XXXX XXXX provided services to a home in XXXX OH under my name and SS # which I DID NOT AUTHORIZE! I have never lived in nor stepped foot in XXXX Further, I don't personally know anyone who lives there. The debt incurred was not paid. It was then sent to a collection agency by the name of Associated Credit Services Inc. The debt is {$340.00}. This debt is now on my credit report and of course is dragging my credit score down. XXXX XXXX XXXX never ran my credit as I have a freeze on my credit. I was never alerted that someone was trying to run a check on my credit, the whole purpose for a freeze. XXXX XXXX XXXX used my SS # without running a check first and is making me jump through hoops to prove that I am not the person that lived at the home they provided services to. I am cleaning up a mess that could have been avoided had they simply attempted to run a credit check on me.

In XXXX of 2018, we moved from XXXX to XXXX. Earlier today we noticed this company ASSOCIATED CREDIT SERVICES , INC. on my husbands credit report. We called and the representative initially had a hard time locating him until we provided his social. We never received a notice that the bill was past due. We never received any notice from this company. Nothing. The rep from the collection agency said its our fault because we should have notified them that we moved. As if we KNEW of the debt when we with over 1,000 miles away from where they sent it. We logged in today to our online account with the company ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and the amount we owed was DOUBLE what it normally is. We werent on some negotiated billing or whatever. We paid each month what was due so to even see it doubled is troubling. Its as if XXXX XXXX XXXX punishes you for leaving. Anyway, the communication from the rep at the collection agency went nowhere. Im publishing this to let everyone know to beware of this collection agency and XXXX XXXX XXXX. They dont send notices and then add XXXX to your credit report.

After 3 months of trying to get this issue fixed and actually speak with someone with no luck. I was contacted by a collection agency. They said there was nothing that could happen. Contacted around XXXX XX/XX/XXXX from Associated Credit Services . The person I spoke to was incredibly rude and condescending. He told me that if I did not pay my XXXX XXXX balance in full he would sue me. He also appeared to be looking at my credit report and told me if I did not pay my balance in full today he would get an account number from my report and attempt to run it on that. He said I had a XXXX XXXX card that had {$300.00} in available credit which is not my card. I'm simply an authorized user on it. When I told him that was my father 's card he told me to use that card today or he would call my father and inform him of my bad debts. I immediately hung up the phone. He then called me back on a blocked number and said if I do not pay in full today he would contact my place of employment and inform them of my bad debt. Account is for {$1600.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I offered to pay him in {$25.00} installments since I am in XXXX and he said I need {$350.00} minimum today or we go to court.

Since XX/XX/, I have been receiving calls from Associated Credit Services. The calls are coming from XXXX. I always receive a robocall voice telling me to return their call at XXXX. I wasn't even aware they were a debt collection agency until I called them back. They asked for my name. I told them that I didn't feel comfortable giving that out, and they simply hung up on me. This happened several times until I was able to speak with a supervisor. He confirmed that I did not owe any debt, but said they could not take me off their contact list ( he refused to state why ). Some workers I spoke with told me that I had been taken off the list. Others said I was never on the list to begin with. Yet another employee told me they don't even *have* a list. In total, I had to call around 7 times before a XXXX assured me I would not get any more calls. I do not trust this and feel that I will continue receiving calls for a debt I was never even associated with.

I keep getting harassed by a company called Associated Credit Services accusing me of owning a debt I don't owe. I have told them multiple times they are barking up tree but they will not listen They are incredibly rude and condensing on the phone and when I ask for proof and paper work proving this debt than can't provide The worst/most fishy part is they refuse to speak any details of the " Business matter '' -- -- -I 'm not a business and as a retired vet i don't do " Business '' -- -wiith me providing all kinds of PII ( Personally Identifiable information ). But nope, they just keep calling. without being able to even provide evidence of this debt I spent the last 5 years recovering from severe XXXX from XXXX and have been living a semi-normal life for the first time in a long time. These non-stop calls and attitude have triggered multiple panic attacks in me. I have not had a XXXX XXXX in over a year and a half until now.

I went to take out an auto loan and found a mark on my credit report that surprised me since I 'm still a customer. Associate Credit 's customer XXXX gave them a wrong address to contact me with a past due bill. I have been a customer of XXXX since 2006. XXXX uses social security numbers to identify customers to accounts. Associate Credit did not attempt to collect information from their customer after not being able to reach me by phone or mail and simply just reported me to XXXX XXXX. If they had made contact with their customer, they could have found the error themselves or could have obtained my current address. This has caused damage to my credit. Debt was paid on XX/XX/XXXX as the collector states themselves On XX/XX/XXXX the consumer called our office to pay their obligation to our client XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$130.00}. We accepted the payment, processed it, and posted it to the consumer 's account within XXXX hours as explained to the consumer. The account is currently paid in full. Please understand that this transaction was initiated by the consumer only 2 days ago. At that time our office notified the consumer that updates to their credit bureau are performed as expeditiously as possible but can take up to 30 days to reflect on their report. The consumer 's account will be updated to the bureaus as paid in full during our next reporting cycle which will occur on or before XX/XX/XXXX '' No such change has occurred and the collector is still reporting as this collection is open as it still appears on my report as an open collections.

I got an alert on XX/XX/2020, that Assoc Credit Services ( original creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) was in collections. I was so confused, I've never heard of this collection company. No one has called me from their company, I received no letters this just randomly appeared on my credit file. The very next day XX/XX/2020 I received another alert saying the debt was paid in full and the balance was showing {$0.00}. Ive called the number listed I was just put on hold multiple times. My final bill from the XXXX XXXX was paid DIRECTLY to them on XX/XX/2020. So of course the balance was {$0.00} I never owed them in the first place! Assoc. Credit Services had no right to report anything to my credit file since they saw that it was paid through the original debtor. This had NOTHING to do with them. The debt was paid and handled directly with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am attaching that original receipt.

This collection agency claims that I owe them {$900.00} dollars, first they sent me a bill for the amount of {$65.00} dollars and told me that I had 30 days to dispute this debt. I don't owe this company any money because I do not know who they are, I sent a dispute letter to this company where I asked them to validate this debt because it looked strange to me, especially coming from a company that I know nothing about. They say that I had a balance with a company called XXXX XXXX co, I asked this company to validate the debt and to provide me any documents that they have with my signature on it or something that shows that I agreed to pay them. All they sent me is a piece of paper that shows a breakdown of how much it is they claim that I owe to them and they also sent me a bill. They never provided me a contract with my signature on it or anything.

On Thursday XX/XX/XXXX I picked up the phone when a representative from this company called me. She refused to answer even basic questions I had about what the debt or call was in regards to, was extremely rude, insulted me ( " good luck with getting out of debt '' ) and would not respond to my request to have something sent to me in writing per the FDCPA about what the debt was in regards too -- I had never received anything for the amount she was calling about and had no record of what the debt was about. Since then, I have been getting called three to four times a day from the number and when I answer the person on the other end hangs up on me. I have also received calls before XXXX ( XX/XX/2021 ). To me, this feels like very clear retaliation for questioning a combative and rude stranger who was attempting to get personal information about me.

Associate Credit Services , Inc. contacted me to pay a XXXX XXXX balance that I had forgotten about and they told me that I can pay a portion at the time and be all set. They did not however tell me that they will keep reporting to the credit bureau that I am delinquent until the remaining balance is paid in full. They ceased all communication attempts since then - about four or five years now. Now that I can monitor my credit report, I found out about it and I took the initiative to call them. They only had an answering machine where you can leave a message. I went to their website and tried to pull my information in order to pay online, but the portal showed the following : Creditor Name : XXXX XXXX Account Balance : {$0.00} Amount Paid : {$0.00} There's no way to resolve this but they keep on damaging my credit score.

On XX/XX/2021 Associated Credit Union sent me letter alleging I owed them a debt. I mailed them a letter on XX/XX/2021 asking them to furnish proof. They mailed me an invoice that did not have any signatures or contract language showing I owed them or the original creditor what they're claiming I owe. Only XX/XX/2021 I mailed a second request for compliance. They NEVER replied to my request for compliance, instead they waited until XX/XX/2021 and sent me the exact same letter they on XX/XX/2021. Due to the fact they ignored my request for proof twice, it is my belief that they're attempting to see if I do not respond to this letter in their 30 day time window so they could unlawfully post their account to my credit report. I am sending this complaint in hopes that they stop harassing me for good. Thank you.

This complaint is posted as even though there is a collection posted on my personal credit report, at no time was I ever given notice of such a collection from a public utility. I do not accept public utilities having the right directly or through a collection agency to post a negative item on a consumer 's credit report. The Fair Credit Reporting Act was not established in 1970 to take public utilities into consideration, as they are governed not by federal laws, but through public service commissions in each state. Accordingly, this posting on my personal credit is illegal by federal mandate. The original utility known as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX can send to me an invoice for payment once the collection is deleted from my personal credit report. Associated Credit Services attempted to collect on debt already paid. They were notified of this fact on XX/XX/2022 and also notified of paperwork submitted to the Internal Revenue Service ( IRS ). Instead of ceasing their debt collection attempts, they used the personal information contained on the IRS forms ( Social Security number ) and submitted false claims to all 3 major credit bureaus on this satisfied debt. I asked them for the original contract bearing my signature and they cant seem to provide that document to me, I need this debt validated, I did not ask for verification of the debt, I asked for validation, meaning that I need to see the original contract bearing my signature or if I signed an agreement with associated credit services inc saying that I agreed to pay them any amount of money, I would also like that provided to me. What this company sent me its not enough to validate this debt, delete this debt from your system and do not contact me anymore about this matter if I cant be provided with the documents that I have asked.

Hello, I recently had a utilities bill for the amount of XXXX that was sent to collections with Associated Credit Services which I have now paid on XX/XX/2023. Unfortunately, I never received written communication from Associated Credit Services regarding this bill at my address. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, agencies are required to provide written notification within 5 days of trying to contact individuals regarding unpaid debt. Because I never received written communication, I am requesting that this paid debt be removed from my credit report. If your company can provide proof that written communication was provided, please let me know. Otherwise I would like a goodwill deletion as written communication was not provided. Thanks

Associated credit services is claiming that I owe them {$940.00}, since they say that I owe them this amount, I want to see the original contract bearing my signature. This is not a refusal to pay but I want to see proof that this debt belongs to me, the FCRA allows me by law to ask for this proof, if this proof cant be provided to me, then I want this account closed and deleted. I dont want a breakdown of any payments made or any account statements, that is not enough to validate this debt. I dont recall owing any money to this or any other company, if I ever signed a contract with Associated credit services where I agreed to pay them this amount of money then I would also like them to provide it to me.

A utility bill was placed in my name fraudulently. I spoke with company representatives several times over course of few weeks. This was about between XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. Eventually they ask me to pay debt, {$100.00}, and they would notify gas company and then remove collection from my credit files. But after I did, the supervisor did not honor this promise and was rude about it. I have been disputing this information for a long time now with the credit bureaus but the collection company just keep updating it.

I was recently send a notice of collection, that even if owed has long surpassed the six year legal timeline where is could be collected in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The collection agency, Associated Credit Services , Inc. had to pick up my personal information from a debt pool of file. This process of farming out openly a persons personal information with a threat of taking either legal action or an action to ruin a person 's credit report is highly illegal, and against the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I demand a permanent deletion of my information immediately!

Debtors creditors did not verify this collection. This collection company made a mistake two times. The first time after they had put an account into collections without any notification they were kind enough to fix it when i made payment due to their mistake. This past XXXX they put another account into collections. They never called me or sent me any letters notifying me of the debt ( they confirmed this on a recorded call ) I paid the debt as it was legitimate and asked that they pull this from my credit. They are refusing. This is the same exact scenario in which they knowingly made a mistake and fixed it previously.

Associated Credit Service has placed a negative remark on my credit report on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX is a utilities company in the state of New Jersey. The remark states that the account was opened in XX/XX/XXXX. I have not resided in the state of New Jersey since XX/XX/XXXX. I have not authorized anyone to open an account in my name. This was either opened fraudulently, or assigned to me incorrectly. I have disputed this with credit reporting agencies and have contacted the company but have not been able to remove this remark from my credit report.
