years ago back in XXXX i had a XXXX XXXX card for XXXX issues. back then i was paying XXXX dollars a month for a credit card that totaled around 5000 dollars. After a certain amount of time ( I believe 12 or 18 months ) they stopped accepting that amount and wanted XXXX which was impossible for me at the time. I reluctantly stopped paying all together. Money was a struggle at the time. Over the years I had not heard or paid anything for that debt. In the beginning months of XXXX I started getting business cards at my door ( i was never home when they came as i work full time ) In XXXX someone came to my employment to server me ( she knew it was me based on a picture from my XXXX for XXXX ) I made several attempts to contact the number on the paper work which finally i got a return call. basically they said i needed to pay at least a XXXX dollars and start making monthly payments. This did not seem legitimate considering they are trying to make me pay XXXX XXXX dollars. I'm certain this is past the statute of limitations. but i was scared and paid the XXXX and agreed to the XXXX dollars monthly ( against my better judgement ) which at the time i was told there would be no garnishment to my wages. Well low and behold i dropped off a XXXX dollar cashiers check to a shady PO box and the following week my paycheck was garnished for up to 25 % I've sent numerous emails with no response. at this point in time we are almost up to another XXXX dollars being taken out of my paycheck. I don't believe they honored what they stated and now i'm left trying to stay a float.
