I had purchased some covers to replace some old outlet covers and 3 XXXX switches, plus new energy saving light bulbs to replace old ones in my home. I had the house painted, and the old outlets were a different color. so I wanted everything to match. I attempted to replace to outlets but was afraid of getting electrocuted after installing some of them. On XX/XX/2020, I placed a call to a company named XXXX XXXX. they told me that someone would be at the residence XXXX the next day. at XXXX XXXX 2 men showed up while I was speaking with another vendor. their shirts had the name XXXX XXXX on the back. they stepped inside, saw the switches on my counter top. I told them that I will be right with them. At the en of my meeting, to my surprise they started replacing the outlets without saying anything to me. I said nothing about them starting without saying or giving me any paperwork or business card. I was hoping that they would be fair as I had nothing hard for them to do. shortly after, they gave me a list of the same things that I had already bought sent me to the store duplicating the order 3 times. the 2nd time I returned, there was a 3 rd person. at XXXX XXXX they told me that they would be back the next day to finish. I was shocked as I asked why were they coming back and how much did I owed them. they told me for that day it would {$1000.00}. And when they returned the next day, if they are there until XXXX it would be an additional XXXX they showed up at XXXX XXXX the next morning. At XXXX they said they were finish. I reached for my check book to write the check for {$1500.00}. Only to be told that It would cost me XXXX. And If I did not paid that amount I would hear from the owner, interest would be added and that they would take me to court. with the tears flowing, I told them they were try to take advantage of me as I was a single woman living alone. they slammed my door and told me the owner is gong to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I reached to the owner to tell him what happened and that they did not even let me know how they would charge me prior, neither did they even gave me a business card. the told me that not a requirement. and if I did not pay him he knows judges that once he gets me in front of them they would XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX always wants everything for free. I told him I wanted nothing for free. they gave me a price in the end, then told me it would be more. he continued to curse me as he told me jurors with have my XXXX coughing up every dime. I reached out to the gentleman at my home crying. he told me not to cry and he knew they and that they pulled of the same thin on wealthy XXXX people in the desert before. and those people puts them in their place. he also directed me to the state licensing bureau for contractors. I filed a complain with them. I had nothing to give them as they provided me with no paper work. not even a card. the state told me that they violated me immediately. And the first thing they should have done was asked what needed to be done, provided me with an estimate and allow me to think it through. when the state contacted the owner, they asked the owner if they had provided me with any paper work prior, he told the state yes. the state asked him for a copy. according to the state, the paperwork he provided them is dated after. the representative told him that he was lying, they violated me and that he could face serious consequences as it pertains to is license. per the state, he told them that he was sorry and not to do anything to his license. shortly after, XXXX had a collection agency named COACHELLA VALLEY COLLECTION HARASSING HIM NON STOP. THIER ADDRESS IS XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Ca XXXX. Phone # is XXXX. XXXX. ACCORDING TO THEM THEY HAVE ADDED INTEREST AND I NOW OWED ALMOST {$2000.00}. AND IF ID O NOT PAY UP THEY WOULD SEE ME IN COURT. I ASKED THEM TO SHOW ME ANY AGREEMENT BETWEEN XXXX XXXX AND MYSELF, THEY TOLD ME THAT CONTRACT IS NOT A REQUIREMENT AND IF ID DON'T PAY UP THEY WOULD MAKE MY LIFE A NIGHTMARE AND RUIN MY CREDIT. I HAVE BEEN HARASSED NON STOP DAY AND NIGHT. As I reviewed their yelp page, you can clearly see the pattern of them taking advantage of people. The owner told me that he knows lots of judges. And once he gets you in court he will have them ripping into you. This is clearly a scam skillfully orchestrated, using bullying tactics to rob people. And of course use judges that he is acquainted with to hand over fraudulent judgement. this must stop. Please help

I am writing to file a complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, CA XXXX, for a violation of the No Surprises Act. The patient in question is XXXX XXXX ( redacted for privacy ), who received services at the aforementioned medical facility on XX/XX/2022. The services rendered were under the medical codes : XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. The issue began when XXXX XXXX went in for immunization. Prior to the appointment, the office staff verified that she was covered by our health insurance provider, XXXX. We even found the facility using our insurance 's website for " in network doctors ''. This verification reassured us that we would be covered for the services received and would not incur any unexpected charges. However, to our shock, we later received a denial letter from our insurance company and a surprise medical bill from the medical office, which amounted to a total of {$1100.00}. We appealed the denial decision with our insurance, but they provided documentation to show that they were not in network anymore. In an attempt to resolve the issue, we contacted both XXXX and the medical office, which led to a verbal agreement for a payment plan and a lowered bill in the range of {$700.00} - {$850.00}, to be paid in installments. We were even told that if we did not pay we would be sent to collections and then offered a " cash discount. '' As a result, we paid three installments, each worth {$140.00}, totaling {$430.00}. Unfortunately, I fell ill and was unable to make further monthly installments. In response, without any prior warning, the medical office sold my debt to a collection agency, Coachella Valley Collection Service, for an amount exceeding the previously agreed upon maximum sum of {$850.00}. This action, we believe, is in clear violation of the No Surprises Act. Despite our earnest attempts to honor the financial agreement we had entered into, the office not only reneged on the established payment plan but also escalated the issue by involving a collection agency, thereby negatively impacting our credit rating. In light of the above, we kindly request that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau intervene on our behalf to investigate this issue and provide a resolution. We believe that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX should be held accountable for its actions, which are against the provisions of the No Surprises Act, and thus unfair to us as consumers. We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your prompt response.

On or around XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding a old collection that had been brought to my attention. It was at that time they cross referenced my ex-husband 's name and advised me that they were going to add me on to a collection account that had been placed in his name. I advised them that we were not legally married at the time he obtaining that debt. Soon after they not only filed a lawsuit against me in the amount of {$17000.00} plus interest and legal fees, but also placed the growing amount on my credit report on a monthly basis. I advised them several times that the documents they were provided with by the original creditor were incorrect. I notified them by phone and in writing that the debt was invalid and they refused to withdraw the suit or remove the report. I did not have a contract with the original creditor for the disputed amount and do not have a contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The two documents my attorney was provided was an incomplete request for enrollment which did not list a financial amount due to the fact that I did not at full tuition, but was granted a reduced tuition which was paid in full, and an inaccurate and outdated ledger. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX accepted this debt with insufficient information and are working it on contingency, where they stand to benefit financially. I also believe the attorney working this suit is also working on a contingency basis which poses a conflict of interest in ignoring my previous disputes. I have since hired an attorney and he also advised them the debt was not valid and instructed them to remove it from my credit report. XX/XX/XXXX the amount increased again and was categorized as a Bankruptcy on my three credit reports. The inaccurate reporting occurred during escrow and disqualified me from obtaining a mortgage to which I was in contract for. XX/XX/XXXX they reported an " Inquiry for an installment loan '' further damaging my credit. Please note that the original creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is currently the defendant in several other suits involving tuition disputes following an administration change. Furthermore, the entity that entered into a contingent collection agreement with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is NOT the entity that was in existence at the time my children were enrolled and I was granted a reduced tuition rate and they have failed to prove otherwise as no such documents exist.

All the sudden appear this Medical Debt Collection in my Credit Report, per my investigations they were billing to XXXX XXXXit sounds familiar to me, until I discover that I am under XXXX XXXX in the Credit Report with the XXXX Credit Bureaus XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX. Coachella Valley Collections pick up XXXX XXXX which is not my legal name, I am XXXX XXXX under Social Security, XXXX and my Private Health Insurance, my US Passport. Therefore there is a question mark here why are they billing for XXXX applied to me XX/XX/XXXX I have been home, also that I saw a Doctor that even do n't know who he is. I got my team of Doctors treating me. I am in this battle since XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX IS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS NOT REMOVED THIS MEDICAL COLLECTION XXXX XXXX I BELIEVE. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX assigned a judgment to Coachella Valley Collection Service ( See attached Acknowledgement of Assignment of Judgment ) Coachella Valley Collection Service opened a reporting account with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, and started reporting a delinquency to my credit file and continued to report a delinquency through XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX filed the Acknowledgement with the Superior Court of California , County of XXXX ( reference case number XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX ( See attached redacted Register of Actions ) Per California Code of Civil Procedure 673 and Section 681.020, Coachella Valley Collection Service did not have authority to start collection activities until XX/XX/XXXX, when the Acknowledgement of Assignment of Judgment was filed with the Superior Court of California , County of XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX regularly employs dishonest, unethical and illegal practices to run their business. They obtained a judgment on a {$2500.00} debt and inflated it to XXXX, falsely " served '' me at what they claim was my place of employment which was a county office address 75 miles away from me that I have never visited nor worked for. Completely falsified service!!! They continued to inflate the amount due over a 10 year period before I became aware of it through a letter from my bank. When I learned about this from a bank levy in XX/XX/2016, I contacted them about it and they threatened me with more legal action, would not negotiate, and even bullied an attorney I asked to call them as a favor to me to find out the particulars on the issue. Every attorney I spoke with is familiar with this company which has a very bad reputation for doing exactly what they did to me - using illegal means to obtain judgments. The owner XXXX is described by one attorney to be " the scum of the scum of collection agencies. '' NOTHING can be done legally to give me justice, the attorneys told me. According to the law, the judgment should be set aside since they employed illegal means to obtain it, yet I was told I would receive no justice from the courts and would be forced to file bankruptcy which I did not wish to do. I am not interested in you contacting them about my debt as there is nothing that will help at this point, but I would like you to pursue shutting them down and putting them out of business. A company that operates through illegal means shouldn't be allowed to continue to victimize people and destroy them financially.

XXXX XXXX XXXX obtain a judgement without my knowledge, my due process was violated. XXXX claims I was served 2 times, both to different individuals that do not live at the address or do not excist, eventually XXXX petition for a clerks judgement and got it, all without me knowing of a court date. Or a chance for me to respond to the summons. When I recived noticed of this judgement I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX to discuss and even offer to settle, XXXX, the owner was very unprofessional and threatening he said if I tried to fight them he will continue to add more attorney fees to the account, this account was from 2012 from a XXXX XXXX XXXX when I was in the XXXX academey. It's a fund XXXX county provides XXXX to help during the first couple of weeks of training due to the extended wait for our first pay period, I was hurt during my training and had to drop out, I was told I didn't have to repay the debt since I was out due to injury.overall this collection company violated my rights and defrauded the courts in order to get a judgement on me an damage my credit rating, I also hold a government XXXX XXXX with my employer this is threathing my job as well can you please look into the type of business these people run, I have read many complaints on this company and their shady business practices and how they have victimized many other people the same way

First knowledge of debt was a hold on my checking account, via a email from chase on the XXXX of XXXX. I called Coachella valley collection services in XXXX XXXX ca. The same day to request validation of debt that was 11 plus years old, bank email was my first received notice, and the hold of XXXX $ could not pay bills. At the time verbal request for verification of debt as well as disputing any amounts claimed. I followed up with two mailings certified and return receipt of the same, also requesting cease and desist any collection attempts due to disputing all. I received a renewal of a judgment only with a amount of over 82,000 . They took the XXXX $ on the XXXX of XXXX all after they were served with my dispute and verification notice. I then both written and verbal requested all debits and credits accounting on this dept ever. Telephonic to their attorney XXXX XXXX, and couldn't get it. I haven't even received the original judgment only the renewal. They haven't even received a receipt for the money they took out of my chase account. XXXX . I think thats grand larceny. The renewal judgment is for XXXX $ the letter it came with states XXXX $ with interest of XXXX $ on a claimed debt XXXX $ from a hoa. Judgement date of XX/XX/XXXX. I received no notice or the judgment still.

I have previously filed 2 separate complaints for one company, Coachella Valley Collections Services for account # XXXX with the original alleged collections amount of {$390.00} from the original creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( a ) XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, with complaint # XXXX and ( b ) another on XX/XX/XXXX with complaint # XXXX. Both complaints have had Coachella Valley Collections agreeing to remove the collections from all three of my credit bureaus ; however, according to my recent XXXX credit report created on XX/XX/XXXX file ID # XXXX, the collections is still reflected under my name. It is also still reflected on my XXXX Report according to my XXXX XXXX account as well. I am requesting for this collection to remove as it had been agreed upon last year that this collection was wrongfully documented and incorrectly pinned under my name. I have attached documents to support the collections removal has still not occurred according to Coachella Valley Collections Services claims from XXXX that would support my claim.

Coachella Valley Collection Service, account NO. XXXX is wrongfully portrayed on my XXXX and XXXX reports, for the fraud of the original creditor XXXX XXXX. Prior to service I provided my usual medical insurance as asked for ; I had an expectation that I would be required to pay my usual co-pay of @ {$50.00} and was prepared to do that. Instead prior to service and upon double-checking before leaving I was told by office staff " XXXX '', to my suprise, more than once that my INSURANCE WAS VERIFIED AND THAT THERE WAS NO-COPAY REQUIRED. Obviously this was a fraud perpetrated upon me by the original creditor, that the office worker 's statement was untrue. They knew they had me for any amount they chose to charge me with the threat of destroying my credit which the original lying creditor has done with their strong-arm collector. I've paid a bill I didn't owe according to the law and have had my credit ruined by a fraud perpetrating original creditor colluding with a collector.

I had been promised immediate treatment if I paid {$550.00} for a dental consultation and x-rays. The dentist took the money and did not fulfil the promise of immediate treatment to cure the pain I was in. I filed a dispute with XXXX on the credit card I used for payment and won a permenant credit of {$550.00}. The Dentist has not honored his contract as a credit card merchant and has filed with a collection agency for the dismissed debt including additional charges. The collection agency filed this collection with XXXX and caused my XXXX score of nearly XXXX points to drop by XXXX points. I need help with this abuse to restore my credit and force the Dentist to honor the contract he signed as a credit card merchant. I have found both the Dentist office and the collection agency to both be unethical in attempting to ruin my credit as retaliation to the unfavorable decision that was made against them in the dispute thy lost.

In XX/XX/XXXX, I was notified that Mr. & Mrs. XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX assigned their Judgement over to Coachella Valley Collection Service ( see attached Stipulation For Entry Of Judgement dated XX/XX/XXXX, Acknowledgement of Assignment of Judgement dated XX/XX/XXXX, Correspondences from Coachella Valley Collection Service dated XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. A few weeks ago I came across an article that stated the 3 credit Bureau 's back in XXXX decided they would no longer report Judgements against individuals credit reports. I have provided XXXX, XXXX and XXXX the same data and have open disputes showing the collection account as reported by Coachella Valley Collection Service is actually a Judgement and should not be reported against my credit reports. The first report decreased my FICO score which ruined my credit as I can not refinance my condo, get a personal loan or a credit card with a $ XXXX credit limit.

I want to file this complaint with COACHELLA VALLEY COL. I sent them a letter regarding the inaccuracies in my report such as date of last activity, date opened, date reported, payment status, etc. They took more than 30 days to complete the investigation and they claimed that they did a thorough investigation. I also never had any contractual agreement with them. However, when I checked my report, I did not see any changes made at all. The inaccurate information are still reporting. My rights have been violated numerous times. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. States that I have the right to privacy.15 U.S.C 1681 section 604 A Section 2. It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instruction.

I received through my credit monitoring an alert that a collection was added to my credit report. I sent a validation letter to make sure that this was my debt. I called XXXX XXXX and they acknowledge that they did, in fact, receive my payment and that it was deposited. I verified this but this collection agency will not remove. In fact, they updated this in XX/XX/XXXX as owed debt {$110.00} as retaliation and showing still owing the debt hurting my credit score on all 3 credit agency 's ; this has impacted my perfect credit score. This check was sent in and paid, the medical office misplaced this and deposited it on XX/XX/2019. XXXX XXXX XXXX illegally, misleading information and illegally filed collections when it was already paid.

The debt collector calls me everyday, not just once a day, but multiple times a day, including weekends. They ask for XXXX different names that I have no connection with, and do not know. They are very rude over the phone, before I can explain to them that they are calling the wrong number, they hang up and I can never explain it to them. When I call back to see what they are calling for, they will not tell me who they are and what company unless I first tell them my information. I discovered an account listed on my credit report for {$2200.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I proceeded to dispute the trade line with the collection agency via FDCPA dispute letter dated XX/XX/XXXX. They have not responded to my dispute letter. I have submitted dispute reports to both credit bureaus as well. I have notified the Attorney General of the State of Texas as well, as they operating illegally in regard to the Texas Debt Collection Act. They do not carry a bond and are not registered with the Secretary of State or Texas Comptroller. They do not have a registered agent in Texas for service of process.

A collection agency for a HOA was harrassing me for dues I failed to pay when the house was in forclosure. I kept telling them the bank owned the property and to contact them I no longer lived there. This company reported very little information to XXXX, so I had no idea what this collection was about, this has intentionally hurt my credit score and attempts to dispute this was ignored by the collection agency. I represent a client that owes for a Dental bill. Recently, a Collection Agency issued a wage garnishment in CA. The debtor filed a Claim for Exemption as his right to do so, and in response the Collection Agency Manager is retaliating.
