On XXXX XXXX 2016, we visited the Schomp Honda dealership at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX CO. The purpose of this visit was to fulfill an obligation for a vehicle inspection on a lease that was terminating XXXX/XXXX/2016. Honda been contacting my wife and I several times a day to schedule a time for this and to advise us on what our options were since the lease was ending. Once at the dealership, we met with Client Advisor XXXX XXXX ( XXXXXXXXXXXX ; XXXX ). While our current CRV was being inspected, XXXX had us test drive a new CRV. After the test drive, we decided to enter into a new lease with Honda. However, since we still had 30 days left on our lease, we did not want to end up with 2 payments, XXXX advised that either Schomp or XXXX would take care of our final lease payment. He also advised that even though we exceeded the mileage allowance on our lease, there would be no extra charge since we are entering into a new Honda lease. However, after leaving Schomp with a new lease and CRV, we received a letter from Honda dated XXXX XXXX, 2016, stating we owed {$700.00}. Of this amount {$400.00} was for excess mileage and {$260.00} was for the final payment on the old lease. This letter was in direct contradiction with what XXXX had informed us. Naturally we called XXXX and explained the situation, XXXX advised he was mistaken and asked my wife to meet him to change the terms of the lease. She advised that was not an option and indicated we would return the vehicle if they could not honor what we were told. XXXX advised he would speak with his manager. On XXXX XXXX, 2016 we spoke again and this time he stated the department that handles payments to XXXX XXXX was closed and that he would take care of it. On XXXX XXXX, we left a message for General Manager XXXX XXXX ( XXXXXXXXXXXX ; XXXX ) but did not receive a return call. On XXXX XXXX 2016, XXXX left us a voicemail stating they would take care of the final payment and excess mileage amount. On XXXX XXXX 2016, we contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX to verify the balance has been cleared. XXXX XXXX XXXX confirmed the outstanding balance of {$260.00} was still owed and is now 4 days past due. This is extremely disappointing as well as alarming as our credit history is now at stake. Schomp Honda 's failure to act quickly has directly led to borrower harm. We are now forced to rely on regulatory agencys to help move Schomp to action. We are requesting the final payment be cleared as was agreed by both parties on XXXX XXXX and confirmed XXXX XXXX. In addition, we are requesting written correspondonce from Schomp Honda that this has been resovled.

We went to Schomp Honda at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CO XXXX to look at a vehicle they had posted on there website a XXXX XXXX XXXX, we test drove said vehicle and then talked to the salesman about the vehicle having no warranty he assured us that they had done a 125 point inspection and found that the head gasket had to be replaced and that there was no warranty due to that repair, but everything else had checked out ok. Within 2or 3 weeks the engine light came on, we took it in to be checked out by an outside auto shop and found out the problem was a bad engine that could not be fixed internal engine failure. {$11000.00} to replace then while they were finishing the inspection they said the 4 wheel drive system which is the vtm was also going out along with the front and rear brakes that were so bad that we could have been in a very bad car accident, we were lucky that we took it in, and on top of that the cv joints and the struts were also shot bringing the total to about {$15000.00} dollars we contacted the dealer on XX/XX/122020 and they stated it was not there problem, they stated the car was sold as is. But what kind of a reputable dealer would put peoples lives at risk just to make money, then not even care. So the more i thought about it the more upset i got because now that they choose not to do anything about it, if i take this XXXX XXXX XXXX in to trade for another vehicle i am going to have to do the honest thing and disclose everything wrong with the vehicle and probably being stuck with about {$8000.00} worth of negative equity towards purchasing another vehicle. I then contacted the dealership again on XX/XX/2020 to try and resolve this matter by bringing back the XXXX XXXX XXXX and get my trade in money for my vehicle and my down payment money so i could look at another vehicle, again they turned me down and said they might consider taking the truck back but well below what i paid them for it and not receive any of my trade in allowance or my cash down money, stated thats not happening. This is why i am reaching out to you because they dont give a XXXX about myself or my wife just the money. This dealership should be put out of business and fined for the way they take advantage of people.

After finding a vehicle I liked at a local dealer, I was excited, I went and put {$9800.00} down as well as traded in my car. A short time after, I got a call that the dealer was taking the car back due to financing not being approved. In the meantime, they had sold my trade-in and refused to give me any of the {$9800.00} back that I had put down, citing a $ XXXX XXXX fee in addition to any wear or tear. They charged me this even though it was specifically outlined in CO code that this is not an acceptable practice.
