I was approved for a loan on XX/XX/XXXX of {$400.00}. My 1st payment was due XX/XX/XXXX. Prior to that date I opened a new checking account and they are one of several creditors I forgot to call to update my new banking info also due to me being out of the country I was not able to contact them. On XX/XX/XXXX, 4 DAYS after a missed payment I received a text threatening to garnish my wages which is a violation of UDAAP act and FDCPA laws. On XX/XX/XXXX my payroll received a garnishment order from Advance Paycheck to withhold 15 % of my wages every pay period. The notice sent to my employer states I received a copy of the writ order which is very misleading. Where's the court order, validation, copy of notice ( when was it sent and to where? ). Advance Paycheck NEVER sent me a notice or a copy of the garnishment allowing me to respond not resolve the debt nor have they called me. My wages are now being garnished which has caused a hardship because I haven't had prior notice in order to make arrangements. Please help

I have 16 payday / installment loans. I live in the state of Illinois. I was not aware that, by law, I should not have been allowed to have more than three & that they should not total more than 22.5% of my income. Why 16 loans? Because I was constantly trying to catch up one loan with another, thinking that once I brought the one down, I would be able to take care of the new one. Well one led to another and then another, all at astronomical expenses to my wallet. I recently found my checking account in the negative, because I just plain and simply could no longer handle the juggling act. I need help. I didn’t even realize that I had 16 loans, until I really began trying to get to the bottom of my financial crisis. Is this legal for companies to continually extend loans to me, without verifying whether or not I was at the maximum loan amounts for the state of Illinois? How can I get all of this debt off of my back? Is there help out there for my situation?
