Refer to the initial CFPB complaint against America First Credit Union on XX/XX/2020 XXXX. America First responded on XX/XX/2020 at which time the complaint was closed. The last thing I heard from XXXX XXXX about the XXXX was that the sale was put on hold and I just found out yesterday that it was sent to auction and all my items have been disposed of. I was never provided with the Intent to Sell document that she had provided to me in the response to the complaint filed by me in XXXX. I have emailed the Attorney General which I will copy it into this complaint so you can see why America First has violated my right to financial privacy on several occasions. Per the Repossession law.. I was supposed to be notified with the Intent to Sell information which I wasnt so they took the right for me to make a decision on if I wanted to pay it or let it go to auction as well as information as to where and when the auction is to take place. I didnt get the chance to get my personal items which did include sensitive and confidential documentation. I will paste the emails that I have sent to The Attorney General below. From : XXXX Date : XX/XX/2020 at XXXX XXXX MDT To : XXXX Subject : America First Credit Union Repossession Error. Good Afternoon, My name is XXXX XXXX and I have had an ongoing issue with America First Credit Union for 7 months now regarding my vehicle being repossessed in error. My husband lost his job in XXXX of this past year and we did fall behind on all of our bills even to the point that we got evicted from the home we lived In because my income was not enough to cover all our expenses. Both my husband and I had vehicles financed through America First Credit Union and due to the fact that we lost such a substantial amount of money, he talked to America First Credit Union about doing a loan modification for the vehicles. My husband has most of the details and the email form for the loan modifications. My husband was advised that we needed to pay one payment on the vehicles and the loan modification would be sent over to the correct department that handles processing the paperwork. We did not receive any documentation that the modification was denied so we figured all was good and that was one less worry on our plate. My cousin was generous enough to let us stay at his home for a few weeks which was also a relief. So now down to the actual issue Im emailing you about. My husbands vehicle had a flat tire so he needed to drive my XXXX to work. This was on XX/XX/2020. He went out for a break and my XXXX was gone. With only a phone call to America First Credit Union he was advised that the XXXX had been repossessed for non payment. My husband inquired about the loan modification paperwork and after several and I mean several phone calls it was admitted that the teller misplaced the paperwork. We have been dealing with this since XXXX when it was repossessed. I can not tell you how many phone calls but probably in the 100s that my husband had made to them and on about 4 different occasions we were told that under the different stipulations by different agents that I could get the vehicle back. I actually ended up filing a complaint with the CFPB and as of now the case is closed and nothing has been resolved. I will gladly email you a copy of my complaint as well as America First Credit Unions response to the complaint. I called her to have her explain to me why her response was what it was. The response consists of nothing but lies and when I questioned her about the response she kept saying that their systems show nothing of my husband going in on XX/XX/2020, that their systems indicate that in XXXX when my husband turned in the second loan modification that it was said I was not interested in keeping the vehicle because they were not willing to release it. I can forward you a voicemail of XXXX XXXX who is the primary contact I have not had the pleasure in dealing with going into depth about my complaint and of course since it was a voicemail there is no verification she just went on about it all. Yesterday when I called her she did not verify me either. My husband had called numerous of times and spoke to different agents who did not request verification from me. The list goes on and on.. somehow they dont have the video of my husband going in on XX/XX/XXXX but they do have the XX/XX/2020 video. They have admitted it was their error in misplacing the original paperwork so I requested my loan be for given after 7 months and it be released to me which they are refusing to do. All XXXX says is their systems this and their systems that and I am curious as to what systems they have that they are basing this huge lie they are continuing to battle with me. I truly believe that they have attempted to dispose the evidence and are not aware that everything is recoverable. Like I mentioned there is so much more that I am happy to share. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX This is the second one that I sent yesterday XX/XX/2020 Good Evening, I am reaching back out to you in regards to the first email I sent back on XX/XX/2020. I was referred to you to help me with this so I emailed you. I know with everything going on in the world right now things may have a longer response time however, This issue has now escalated to the point where the XXXX was sent to Auction, all my belongings that were in the XXXX have been disposed of. There was a primary point of contact which was Ms. XXXX in the Complaints Management department. Again, back when I received the complaint response she sent a Intent to Sell letter dated on XX/XX/2020 which I actually never received otherwise I do not know why she mailed that to me but moving on. I have the voicemail from her back in XXXX stating that there is a hold on the XXXX from being sold or auctioned which obviously dismissed the Intent to Sell documentation they have dated XX/XX/2020. Ms. XXXX failed to tell me that the XXXX was released to send to auction, my belongings are gone which some of them have confidential information on them and I was not informed of any of this. My husband called the Lost Recovery Repossession lot for America first. This should never have happened in the first place but the Credit Union and Ms. XXXX have continued to break the law by not notifying me that it was being sent to auction and I had a window to which I could get my belongings, I received nothing about the auction information as in where it will be auctioned at and what date and time. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and again referred to you for a resource that handles these issues. I do have a medical condition that has worsened during this 7 month time frame and it continues every day when some else pops up and now the vehicle is gone, my stuff inside is gone without any warning at all. These people have violated my financial privacy on multiple occasions, Ms. XXXX cut off all communication after the complaint process was closed so therefore again the repossession laws were violated because I was not notified of anything regarding the sell or auction of the vehicle. After the complaint was closed I did tell her that the issue is not over because I was done so dirty on this and that I was not done with them and I will escalate higher so she needed to not do anything with the Jeep or my belongings inside it which America First Credit Union just dismissed my request and now it is gone ... Again, I was referred to you for assistance because all of the violations the Credit Union has against them from what they have done. Do you help me? This is a big deal, so many illegal acts and unethical practices from them. With all of the madness in the world right now, this should not be happening and if they get away with doing it to me chances are they have and will continue to harm other people in this manner. You, Sir are the top person to go to and I need your help. I am emotionally drained, my medical condition has been pushed off the ledge but I will continue until someone confronts them and punished them for their actions. I want Ms. XXXX XXXX to be held personally accountable for the not only violating my federal rights but as well as violating State Laws regarding repossessions. In this next statement I will not give my 100 % that this happened but I do believe that America First Credit Union has attempted to erase or delete some conversations my husband had over the phone with different representatives as well as the video surveillance from XX/XX/2020 when my husband went into the XXXX branch to turn in the loan modification paperwork that was misplaced therefore the Jeep was repossessed. The only reason I would even mention this information to you is because XXXX XXXX told me that they do not have and did not through their entire investigation have the video surveillance from XX/XX/2020 but that they do have the video on XX/XX/2020 when my husband took the loan modification paperwork into a branch. The Credit Unions response to the CFPB complaint filed by me back in XXXX is just a bundle of lies which they have no evidence to back it up. They have violated violated both Federal and State laws which they need to be held accountable for. I know that they will see this complaint because they need to know who I have contacted and my next step is to reach out to the Attorney General for the United States, Mr. XXXX XXXX XXXX if this is not handled swiftly. And the individuals who have been appointed as the team that led up to this point are disciplined appropriately and lawfully.

My husband & I purchased a vehicle XXXX of XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. We were solicited on Sunday through XXXX by a CEU of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. We met the CEU at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Ut. The XXXX told my husband & I that he had many repos he needed to get rid of. That he kept them at XXXX XXXX. He told us that we could choose whichever vehicle we wanted with a {$500.00} down payment. The vehicle we looked at was the dodge journey that we purchased. We were told it was XXXX, had back up camera, navigation, towing kit. That it was the top model. The XXXX had our loan done in 30 minutes including the test drive. He had told us that it was a 5/6 year loan at 9 % intrest rate & that we were buying it for {$15000.00}. He told us multiple times he was " losing money on this deal ''. When we were signing the paperwork he made me purchase gap insurance even though the gap insurance part of the contract had a warning sentence saying we did not have to have gap insurance to purchase the vehicle. The total did not add up to me as it was {$17000.00} on paper. We had given him {$500.00}. So the car should have been {$14000.00}. When the papers were finished he gave the manager/owner of the XXXX XXXX XXXX an {$18000.00} check. I was confused at the amount & for giving the dealership the check when he was the XXXX of the bank. The loan was through him not the dealership. I asked what it was for and the amount. He said it was the total with interest over the amount of the loan. ( I never taking a car loan out before without a parent had no clue that wasn't true ) He also said it was including license registration and fees. He also mentioned that he just had the dealer do all the paperwork so we didn't have to register it. It happened extremely fast. A few days later noticed the amount & interest rate was wrong & went to the bank to get it resolved. They assured me everything on their computer and the filed paperwork was correct. I made. $ XXXX {$400.00} payments, but they were wrongly recorded. A few months later. My husband made a payment for the car for {$350.00} & we were told it was {$22.00} short. Our car payment was originally {$230.00}. We looked at the loan & our loan was up to {$20000.00}. We previously only owed XXXX from the payments we had made. The bank gave us the run around. We got the loan back XXXX to XXXX & then it went back up to {$20000.00}. We didn't understand what was going on. The bank kept giving us the run around. Some payments were never added to my account. The XXXX that sold us the vehicle had quit by this time. ( He is the one under investigation with the FBI ) I Later found out that he had his dealers license. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was audited for a year a least. The IRS was there daily. The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was closed down by the government & all accounts merged to America First Credit Union. There was also an open investigation done by Utah XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was contacted by the XXXX from XXXX that was overseeing the case with my vehicle. The FBI took the information from the XXXX & is now going forward with their bank investigation. I can not get any information from anyone regarding my vehicle. I've called the XXXX from the XXXX & the FBI. Now that America First Credit Union has the loan they are doing nothing to ensure the issue is corrected. The loan they have is for a completely different vehicle then what we actually had/ financed. The loan is standing again at {$16000.00}. As soon as America First Credit Union had the loan I reached out trying to figure out what was going on with the investigation. I had recieved no help until called in to get my balance & an employee in the collection Division listened to what happened with the vehicle & vehicle loan. She went up with her supervisor & her supervisor said they were going to do nothing. I spoke with the Supervisor who told me that the car was refinanced in the month of XXXX ( I am unknown of the year ) & I had signed other documents. I only signed the contract when the vehicle was purchased. I never refinanced the vehicle or signed additional documents except for one. The XXXX had told me that I forgot to sign something & if didn't sign it he would take back the vehicle. I don't know what the document was. It was a year after the vehicle had been purchased. I mentioned to the supervisor that I never refinanced the vehicle. It was forged if it was there. She told me it looked like my signature & that if I didn't like the payments she'd come get the vehicle. The phone call ended badly. I called back to speak with other people trying to get the issue resolved. I called the local CFPB of Utah & was told that the bank had assumed the loan so they assumed all responsibility & needed to correct the issues. America First Credit Union did not do anything. They repossessed the vehicle & took. {$1100.00} from my economic stimulus payment for the car. That amount was taken from my checking & moved to the car loan. Only the EIP funds were deposited into the account. I went into a branch & spoke with a manager who contacted collections while I was in the office & they had told me everything would me taken care of & looked into. I was also told by the manager that it might be an option for them to sell the vehicle & then work with the FBI to recover the remaining balance so I wouldn't have to owe anything. I now received a bill for {$17000.00} for a vehicle that I do not possess & have paid at the very least {$15000.00} for. I've calculated {$18000.00}. Had the loan been done legally, ethically & correct we would have never taken out the loan we were solicited on a Sunday. That alone is not legal. If the loan held up then we at least would have the title. The book value for our vehicle was XXXX clean retail. Our vehicle was sold with engine repair needed & dents with rust from an accident & should have been less. Especially if the XXXX was " loosing money on this deal ''. I have been very upfront with America First Credit Union about the whole situation. I told them my intentions have always been to pay for the vehicle, but for the corrected amount & the loan needed to be looked into & fixed. I became so extremely frustrated because nothing was getting looked into I told the Credit Union I wasn't going to Make another payment until something was done about this issue. That is was serious & I should not pay double for the XXXX fraud. The woman I spoke with today said there was no mention of what happened with the city center credit union regarding my vehicle & account. Also that the legal team over the bank had no knowledge of the situation. I've reached out numerous times. I've called & emailed trying to get a resolution. Another issue to add to this all is. I have not recieved any information about the repossession on my vehicle. No mailed letter, not even an email. The only reason I knew was because I brought it up to the banker when I went into the office. I have had no opportunity to collect any belongings inside the vehicle. I have had no opportunity to make the payment of past due amount. I have not had a choice of to refinance the loan, take my car back or have them auction off the vehicle. I have had no information regarding the repossession of the vehicle & it has been gone from my home over XXXX weeks. There are a few issues or many with this situation. The car loan, the repo, taking the EIP out of my account. Had none of the other issues happened & this was a normal loan the bank has offered no services or help to us. My husband & I have been financially strained due to covid. He has been temporarily laid off until his work gets more business. We would have needed to work out a plan for the car loan during the uncertain time we are in. None of the employees or departments of the Credit union have reached out or given us any options or additional help for car loan. We have no idea what opportunities are available to those struggling with car payments. We would have just been blindsided by a repossession & no following information. I apologize this is so extremely long. It's not your average situation & I wanted to include as much as information as possible. There is more I am sure I'm leaving something out. I am uncertain of which type of complaint this would fall under? I do know that 2 different financial institutions & a car dealership are involved with this. So maybe there are multiple complaints. I know the names of all people mentioned & I have the original MVED complaint my husband & I filed. I was trying to leave out names. Email is best. Thank you

I am a victim of identity- theft, I am writing to request that you block all accounts disputed as fraudulent on my credit reports with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX. This information does not relate to any transactions I have made. I did not give anyone authorization or consent to use my personal information. I hereby exercise my legal rights enacted by Congress and The Federal Trade Commission, which explicitly states when a victim of identity-theft dispute a fraudulent account on his/her credit report it shall be honored by all credit bureaus and all fraudulent information should be blocked within 4 days and proper notification shall be given to all data furnishers pursuant to section 605b of The Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act. Therefore, my position is being clearly stated, these accounts do not belong to me, meaning that you are reporting inaccurate account information within my credit file. The fact that these are inaccurate account information means that you, this credit-reporting agency, are reporting incorrect accounts. 1. AMER FST CU & {$5100.00} I am well aware of my rights as a consumer. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that you, the credit-reporting agency report accurate and/or correct account information within my credit file. My credit issues are very specific, these accounts and/or items do not belong to me. This means that you are reporting incorrect account information within my credit report. It is with this in mind that I request that these listed accounts and items be Blocked and Deleted. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act FCRA, Section 1681c ( 2 ) Block of information resulting from identity theft. 1. Block. Except as otherwise provided in this section, a consumer reporting shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from alleged identity theft, not later than four ( 4 ) business days after the date receipt by such agency of 1. Hello, my name is XXXX XXXX XXXX my account number with this financial institution is XXXX and XXXX. America First Credit Union has infringed upon my rights to privacy under the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 U.S.C. 1681. On XX/XX/XXXX I the consumer realized that this institution was in violation of multiple fraudulent violations of the FDCPA law & the TILA law. On XX/XX/XXXX I initiated a credit transaction for my vehicle with this financial institution and a finance charge was involved, which was originated from my initial credit card. In the initial communication for my auto contract, this financial institution did not disclose who they are, and what their initial intentions were to attempt to collect a debt failure to disclose this information is a violation under 15 usc 1692e ( 11 ). Five days after the initial communication, this financial institution did not give me my rights to dispute or any information how to. which is a violation under 15 usc 1692g ( b ). Also, my insurance premium was not included in my initial credit transaction for my XXXX XXXX XXXX which is a direct violation under 15 usc 1605 ( 5 ) ( C ). This deceptive unfair practice on my consumer report shows payment history on a credit transaction involving a finance charge is in violation of 15 usc 1605. I have not given written instruction as the original creditor defined under 15 usc 1602 ( g ) to this financial institution to furnish unlawful deceptive information on my consumer report, or has asked for my permission to furnish anything on my behalf this is a direct violation under 15 usc 6802 ( b ) ( A ). This institution has been reckless exposing my privacy by reporting all my initial credit transactions to the consumer reporting agency which should have been exempted from my consumer report Is in violation of 15 usc 77d ( B ), opting out of any reporting agency is my right under 15 usc 6802 ( B ). This institution has sent me multiple forms via mail not related to the collection of such alleged debt is a violation under 15 usc 1692g ( e ). Those letters also disclosed symbols which signify they are in fact in the debt collection business, is a violation under 15 usc 1692f ( 8 ). This financial institute has caused me stress, and financial hardship with this misleading representation is a violation under 15 usc 1692 E ( 2 ). On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX the consumer sent out letters via mail upon return receipt of these validations and alleged debts ; cease and desist letter, exhibits of violation, allegations in affidavit, notary to identify my identity, and an invoice. On XX/XX/XXXX this institution received my letters on XX/XX/XXXX I received a reply via mail, stating that this financial institution has not committed any violations under the FDCPA my exhibits show clearly, they have. This Institution has not validated the debts with the requests that I clearly stated for my auto loan, credit card, and line of credit instead they have sent me allegation which I dont agree with. This institution has failed to rebut allegations in the affidavit, any statement not denied shall be deemed to be admission which is a violation of 12 CFR 1102.22 ( b ). On XX/XX/XXXX I made contacted with America first Credit Union to discuss this issue over the phone, I asked to speak to someone that could deal with my issue for updates, I spoke with the supervisor in the collection department she has stated to me that the alleged debt was in fact mine, and that they have verified it ( somehow ) if the full payment was not meet for this finance charge, they have threatened to reposes my property. The only way they have the right to do that is with unlawful acts which is a violation under 15 usc 1692f 6 ( a ) ( b ). The debt collector advised me that my debt would be discharged. How could a debt be discharged if it's in the positives? Debt collector have used obscene languages and advised me that my reputation will be at stake, this is in direct violation under 15 usc 1692d ( 1 ) ( 2 ) And the representative also advised me that America first Credit Union is the original creditor, I asked if the representative was an attorney to take such bold claims and, they replied that they were not an attorney. I also notified them that I will be representing myself as an attorney. This company has used fraudulent interstate transactions to obtain money by sale of security agreement with untrue statements of misleading representation, this Is in violation of 15 usc 77q ( a ) ( b ). This financial institution has charged me cash advance fees and other fees on my credit card totaling to {$22000.00} from the year XXXX to XXXX just on fees that is a violation under 15 usc 1692H. I have made several deposits and extended this institutions credit and, I have not benefited from anything in my initial account I initiated with them this is a violation under 15 usc 1602 ( p ). I the original creditor have made multiple payments on these alleged debts that the debt collectors assumed was valid which is a violation under 15 usc 1692h and 15 usc 1692g ( 3 ). I would like these payments mailed backed to me by check. This financial institution has put me in numerous barriers so I demand reparations for the damages which is a violation under 15 1692 k ( a ). If this financial institution refuses to do business with me do to me exercising my rights, I will assume that I am being discriminated. If the financial institute remits payment of any federal violations listed, legal action will be taken.

I entered into an arrangement with America First Credit Union on XX/XX/XXXX. Due to my financial situation caused by the COVID pandemic. I never received a physical copy of this agreement. All communication was done via email and one phone conversation. Never in any communication did the loan officer tell me that my car was going to be repossessed. The arrangement is as follows : ____ Here is the arrangement. You will also be receiving a letter in the mail regarding this information for your records. If you have any questions please let me know. Approve XXXX months interest only payments on Auto Loan 3 for XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. You will pay {$150.00} for XXXX, {$150.00} for XXXX and {$150.00} for XXXX. Your contractual payments resume in XX/XX/XXXX. You are required to call in after payments are made to have due date updated. You will run delinquent and be reported to credit until your loan is brought current. Dear XXXX, I am writing to submit a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) regarding a transaction I entered into with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, az XXXX XXXX concerning the purchase of a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX. My concerns pertain to multiple violations of federal regulations and consumer protection laws, which I believe warrant immediate investigation by the CFPB, in coordination with other relevant regulatory bodies. The key issues I wish to bring to your attention are as follows : Delay in Contract Disclosure : After purchasing the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, I electronically signed the contract, but I did not receive a copy of the contract until XX/XX/XXXX, despite requesting it earlier. This delay in providing the contract raises concerns about transparency and compliance with federal regulations, particularly those related to the disclosure of financing terms and agreements. Attempted Revocation of Security Interest : Upon receiving the contract, I performed a UCC 11 search and discovered that the company had not perfected the lien. Company in dispute America First Credit Union XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX UT XXXX XXXX In XXXX I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX financed in the amount of {$21000.00} VIN # XXXX. Within 9 months of me having the vehicle it begin to have major engine issues which caused me to put the vehicle in the shop because it was inoperable. I was not able to use the vehicle 9 months after the purchase date. The vehicle went to 3 different repair shops because the issue couldnt be identified. The vehicle sat at the 3rd and final repair shop for months because they could not identify the exact issue causing the malfunction either. The 3rd shop was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX AZ XXXX. XXXX XXXX advised I was sold a bad car, the car was a lemon. Once the repair shop finally came to a conclusion of what the issue was I was advised it would be over {$7000.00} to fix the vehicle. I was also advised by the repair shop even with the {$7000.00} repair the vehicle would still have electrical issues. I did have a extended warranty on the vehicle at the time but because the mechanical work cost was high the extended warranty company found a loop hole to not cover the vehicle. I reached out to American First Credit Union multiple times about the vehicle and asked my options because of the situation. I was advised at the time by a representative named XXXX it was in my best opinion to return the vehicle as a voluntary repo and that she would zero out the balance, ( which she never did ). XXXX also authorized a repair in my name for the vehicle in the amount of {$4400.00} that I was unaware of, it was unauthorized and paid with a company check ending in XXXX. This charge was later added to the balance after the vehicle was sold at a private auction the charge was described as other fees/charges in the explanation of deficiency balance letter. I advised America First Credit Union to pick up the vehicle from the repair shop as is ( un repaired ). The vehicle was repossessed from the repair shop. Months later I received a letter from American First Credit Union, a notice of intend to sell letter dated XX/XX/XXXX which states the amount required to redeem the vehicle back was {$27000.00}. After the vehicle was sold I received a 2nd letter from America First Credit Union on XX/XX/XXXX that stated a different balance. This letter states my balance in full was in fact {$20000.00} and decreased to {$15000.00} after the vehicle was sold, it did not state the original balance that I was given to redeem the vehicle. There was a difference of {$6700.00}. The account was charged off/written off XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$15000.00} and the account was closed. I reached out to American First Credit Union via phone and spoke to XXXX XXXX in the recovery department about the inaccurate information on XX/XX/XXXX and asked for a explanation of the two different balances and why the balances were so drastically different when the circumstances did not change and no payment had been made to decrease the balance after the repo. I was not given any explanation, instead after I reached out to America First Credit Union in a dispute submitted in XX/XX/XXXX about the balances and asked them to verify the information and send my documents verifying the balance they increased the balance on my credit report by {$6800.00} making the balance in full now {$21000.00}. Good Afternoon, I am filing yet ANOTHER COMPLAINT against XXXX and their subsidiaries for failing to DELETE and REMOVE invalid data from my credit report. As of XX/XX/20, XXXX has notified me ( via online ) that more OLD NEGATIVE information is reporting, on accounts that were less than 30 days ago, CLOSED, with a ZERO- BALANCE. It should be noted that as I have attempted to correct my credit report to reflect my actual information, XXXX has engaged in the illegal practice of UPDATING and RE-AGING old account information, post investigation, thus hurting my credit score. This is a clear violation of FRCA Article 609 XXXX FAILED TO GIVE PRIOR NOTICE of pending negative information and ; FRCA Article 611 Section 5a, 5b, 5c - XXXX FAILED TO TAKE STEPS TO PREVENT TO REAPPEAR. I feel that XXXX is engaged in very malicious and predatory acts against me. I also feel that XXXX is racially discriminating against me for failing to take proper action regarding my credit reporting and scoring. I purchased my vehicle on XX/XX/19 and signed an open-ended insurance policy with XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$2.00} per month times every {$1000.00} of my loan amount ( {$13000.00} ) for Life/Death and Disability coverages with America First Federal Credit Union, which should have been around {$32.00} per month. I had an injury on XX/XX/XXXX that put me out of work from XX/XX/19 to XX/XX/19. I called America First on XX/XX/19 to have them open a claim on my behalf since they were the ones paying the insurance premiums from my monthly payment. XXXX XXXX XXXX made a payment on my Personal Loan on XX/XX/19 but did not make a payment on my Auto Loan, so I called XXXX XXXX XXXX to find out why. They informed me that I did not have coverages on both of my loans and I would need to call America First Federal Credit Union for further clarification. So I called them and they reiterated that I did not elect for coverages when I signed on my Auto Loan in the dealership on XX/XX/19, which is contradicting to the paperwork that I have that states otherwise. I agreed to sign up for coverages again to make sure that I would really be covered in the event of an accident since they stated that my first insurance document was invalid. I was told over the phone that the coverages would cost me about {$2.00} per month, and I agreed. It was a different amount on the document they sent me to sign, which instead was adding a total amount onto my loan of {$1200.00}. I was charged {$19.00} on my loan payment for XX/XX/19, and I was told that I had coverages with XXXX XXXX for XX/XX/19 through XX/XX/19, so I called XXXX XXXX to let them know that I did have coverages and they told me that they didn't have to pay on the claim because I had signed for the insurance coverages after the date of the incident. So I called back America First to ask for a refund of the unearned premium and they refused despite knowing that XXXX XXXX would not pay my Auto Loan payment for XX/XX/19 to XX/XX/19. They also would not send me written correspondence explaining why they would not refund me the premium. I filed a report with the Washington Department of Insurance on XX/XX/19 to try and figure out something with XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX received the complaint on XX/XX/19. They called and talked to someone named " XXXX '' who was apparently in charge of my loan. She told XXXX XXXX that because I signed up for the second insurance policy in XX/XX/XXXX, it canceled out any insurance coverages that I had previously signed up for, and they indeed do not have to pay for my XXXX claim. I am now being charged for that first insurance policy as an addition on my monthly payment and I still have an extra balance of {$1200.00} for the second policy. America First also told them that I don't have any coverages right now because they need me to sign another insurance document. So America First Federal Credit Union has been losing my financial documents, stealing my money, lying to me, discriminating against me for having a XXXX, and collaborating with the insurance company to make sure that they don't have to pay on my loan as they originally agreed to when I purchased the vehicle along with Life/Death and Disability Insurance, as well as XXXX Insurance and a warranty through the dealership.

America First Credit Union has not complied with FCRA section 623, 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ; 12 CFR part 1022, subpart E. by reporting a late payment on a credit card account that was due to me being affected by COVID-19. America First Credit Union has been reporting inaccurate financial information to all three of the major credit bureaus XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. A creditor must not supply information to a CRA that it knows ( or should know ) is inaccurate. Creditors or collectors are not allowed to report inaccurate information to your credit reports, and under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I have a right to have it removed. I originally submitted a dispute with American First Credit in XX/XX/XXXX and all XXXX credit bureaus as well. Once I submitted that initial dispute in XXXX the balance began fluctuating on the account. The original balance being reported to the credit bureaus at the time was {$15000.00} and since the account was charged off/written off. I also requested all the financial documents from America First Credit Union to be sent to me as well. In those documents there was a balance of deficiency letter dated XX/XX/XXXX which also stated the balance was {$15000.00}. In XX/XX/XXXX the balance increased by {$7000.00} after the dispute on the closed/written off account. The balance was now reporting as {$22000.00} because interest was all of a sudden added. Upon this drastic and sudden change I contacted the company and spoke with XXXX XXXX. I advised her that in the state of Arizona it was illegal to add a sudden increase of interest to a closed/written off account. In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me a email advising me the company now has a policy that interest will not be charged on closed/charged off accounts and that all the interest would be removed, which ultimately should have placed the account back to the balance which was originally being reported as XXXX. This is also the same balance that was on the balance deficiency letter from America First Credit. I submitted another dispute in XX/XX/XXXX for inaccurate information reporting to all 3 credit bureaus and the balance decreased from {$18000.00} to {$17000.00} and showed on my credit report that a payment was made XX/XX/XXXX. This is again inaccurate information and no payment has been made on this account. I am requesting per my rights that this account be removed from my credit for multiple inaccuracies. Per my FCRA rights and the rules and regulations America First Credit Union is in violation of reporting inaccurate financial information. I would like this account removed immediately from my credit report. We are now in XX/XX/XXXX and the company has failed to update the credit report accurately. They have also advised me that the account would be sent to a outside 3rd party collection agency called XXXX XXXX @, XXXX. This company does not have the account and never had the account. I reached out to this company and spoke with a representative and they advised me that they never had this account. America first advised me not to contact them and to contact a 3rd party company who does not have the account. They have sent me multiple letters which are not consistent with information. This is a violation of my consumer FCRA rights. I would like this account removed from my credit report immediately or I will file for litigation.

I originally obtained the loan through America First Credit Union ( AFCU ) located in XXXX XXXX for my RV since XX/XX/XXXX and made payments for 1 year. On XX/XX/XXXX, I decided to trade it in for another RV, everything went well at the dealership XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) in Utah. Not until I came back to XXXX, AFCU told me that they can not accept XXXX payoff for the trade-in RV yet because there is some issue with title and they had to fix with NV DMV . Im writing this as of XX/XX/XXXX and this issue has not been fixed. Multiple attempts have been made in-person as well as over-the-phone to understand the issue and why it takes such a long time to finish everything. Im still stuck paying for the loan even though i no longer in possession of the vehicle. Every time I had to call and lied to or being treated rudely to ( one phone rep XXXX told me in the most matter-of-factly that it could take months or years if it needs to resolve itand her supervisor XXXX at the same title department promised to call me back and did not try to ) Now I know paperworks can take a long time but this is ridiculous. They had 1 year before the tradein to discover and fix any issue with the title, then now almost another 13 months to do whatever they need to resolve it ( if they even try to ) If this is the business practice, i suspect that they did not try to do things right and make the customers ( me in this case ) suffer and keep paying for the loan to collect interests. Though the business responded with due to privacy laws and did not provide details, the desired outcomes were very clear and attainable. 1 ) getting the title job done with DMV - so far they are only half way done with this and this progress has not even gotten here if XXXX has not stepped in due to my complaint. Thus shown the companys lack of due diligence and neglect dreading the matter on their part 2 ) due to their gross negligence and making mistake in the title with previous owner, i had to suffer emotional and economical burden to continue paying for a loan ( and interest ) for a vehicle i no longer owned for almost a year coming this XXXX. I did my part and continued paying since i don't want to get bad credit and so far they negotiated to pay me back half of my interest. I would if I was the one making the mistake in the title to begin with, which i did not. So it is logical to ask for all the interest to be waived, not just the half they tried to put it like charity. The company is acting in bad faith and did not want to own up to their mistake. Even though a lot of thought was put into negotiation of the interest, no ETA is given since now everything is up to the Nevada DMV. I guess my next move is just blame the government for everything- nope! So, none of the 2 objectives are not achieved yet and clearly I have expressed clearly : 1 ) get the title job done with NV DMV 2 ) i will not pay for any interest due to reasons mentioned above and I would like them refunded.

I noticed I had a " charge-off '' reported on my secured credit ( with {$700.00} limit ) by america first credit union. I contacted them on the phone on XX/XX/XXXX to dispute this. On XX/XX/XXXX I received noticed that they have reported it correctly and it was a charge off as of XX/XX/XXXX. I stated to them this was incorrect that I requested the card closed on more than one occasion shortly after the balance was zeroed out at my local branch. AFCU dispute department claims they have had no notes from the branch stating I wanted the card closed. The last time a charge was made was XX/XX/XXXX in the amount {$36.00} which then put me to a limit of {$710.00} this is when a barrage of charges ( finance and late ) began that resulted in the charge-off amount of XXXX. So again this has been 1 year and six months of late fees and charges for going over my {$700.00} limit my XXXX dollars. Per the credit card act of XXXX they should have had my opt in to go over the limit which they did not. So for 1 1/2 years I was charged unfair and unreasonable fees to get this overage of XXXX dollars that should have never been authorized per the credit act. The act also states issuers can charge higher penalty fees only if they demonstrate to banking regulators that their costs ( collections etc. ) justify a higher fee. Under no circumstances can a fee for a late payment or an over-limit transaction be higher than the minimum payment you missed, or the amount you went over your credit limit. I was being charge XXXX a month for a card I stopped using for a year and a half. I was respectful in taking the stance I with AFCU that even though I requested closed at the branch that I should have double and tripled checked that it was indeed closed, they gave me a list of the times they tried to contact me and I told them I work graveyard shift and did not respond to calls, and with letters I discarded them as junk because I had no further business with them, due to the fact that I closed my account with them for my vehicle loan I had no further reason to conduct any business with them. Maybe if I still had my loan and was a customer with them the dispute department would have been more reasonable with customer service in giving a customer the benefit of the doubt that a mistake was made by the branch in not closing the account as I requested. In closing I hope they will resolve this issue on their end this was a secured credit card that was my money not theirs and to charge a customer for a year and a half of finance charges and exuberant fees is in my opinion not a fair and reasonable way to conduct business with the public. AFCU charge-off resulted in lowering my credit score and being able to get better rates to refinance my mortgage.

On XX/XX/XXXX, I entered into a purchase agreement based on good faith that both companies ( XXXX and America Fist Credit Union ) XXXX XXXX was emissions free but cheat emissions test software was installed on my vehicle in the US for seven years. XXXX did so through a clever piece of software that could identify when it was being tested and reduce harmful exhaust numbers while not actually reduce emissions in some tests emission were even higher So it looked as if the cars met Utah state emission requirements, when in fact the XXXX XXXX did not. The discovery of the device was made in XXXX. XXXX halted all sales of its vehicles in XXXX and a nation-wide recall and buy back for these XXXX Vehicles XXXX offered, along with criminal charges obstruction of justice and a XXXX XXXX in fines enforced by the US Justice Department XXXX Plus, in a third settlement, XXXX has agreed to pay {$50.00} million in civil penalties for alleged violations of XXXX. The XXXXustice Department alleged that a XXXX entity supported the sales and leasing of certain XXXX vehicles, including the defeat-device vehicles, by offering competitive financing terms by purchasing from dealers XXXX Vehicles by retail installment contracts ( i.e. loans, financing and leases ) entered into by customers such as myself that all of this deception was going on for years prior to me buying a XXXX with American First Credit Union. No buy back or compensation was ever initiated or offered by American First Credit Union for the XXXX XXXX. My experience was the opposite, no alternatives were offered I was told to make the payment or they would repossess the vehicle a promise they clearly meant to keep. The Dealership and America First Credit Union, misrepresent the facts during my purchase and breached any said contract at the point of sale by not disclosing information relevant to me making a competent well informed purchase decision and by doing so willfully and knowingly sold an altered and misrepresented consumer product or XXXX vehicle doesnt this behavior make the initial contract agreement void because it was entered under false pretenses? Not only has ( America First Credit Union ) deceived me the consumer but also the courts by with holding information relevant to the court making a fair and impartial ruling, if presented with all the facts? America First has displayed an appalling disregard for the best interest of their customers by forcing checking account customers to upgrade to a " Premium Checking Account '' that charges a monthly fee unless you can maintain 3 different tasks ( 20 purchases a month, minimum {$500.00} direct deposit a month, and minimum average daily balance {$1500.00} a month ) that I personally wouldn't be able to meet any of. I looked through the email they sent me and then checked out their website too but no where does it say you have a choice to opt out. They're being deliberately deceptive, hoping customers will accept the fee and move on. I also feel a move like this is an act against those who are less advantaged - the average American can't keep a daily balance of XX/XX/XXXX, and many of America First 's customers get paid in cash only so direct deposit isn't even an option. Those customers don't have as much time to speak with someone or even look into their options, so they're effectively being strong armed into spending money that they already don't have enough of because they're not privileged enough to figure out how to not be victimized by America First. It's also offensive that many of their listed " benefits '' are literally less than standard bank " benefits '' XXXX no low balance fee? Unlimited monthly transactions? Really that's the best you could do? This is my cash, you have no right to stop me from using it XXXX. America First has every right to make the premium checking account an OPTION. To convert their customers against their will is immoral, corrupt, unfair, and in some cases abusive. I feel for those who don't learn that there's another option. I myself was feeling quite trapped because I have my auto loan and a credit card as well and you CAN'T pay either of those unless you have a checking or savings account. I thought I was going to have to close my credit card ( affecting my credit ) and refinance my auto loan if I wanted to avoid paying that {$6.00} fee each month. It also made me view that fee as a mandatory fee for paying my auto loan or credit card, which I'm pretty sure is illegal to give no free payment options. Until this I've actually been pretty happy with America First. I gladly used them instead of XXXX or XXXX XXXX until I found XXXX Checking and savings which get me a lot more money and benefits. I had a financial hardship with one of my auto loans years ago and they took great care of me which made me want to forever get my loan through them. That went away with this egregious behavior and I'll be looking much closer at other options next time I need an auto loan.

On or about XX/XX/2021, I called to activate a debit card recently sent to me by my bank. Since banks and investigators are seemingly letting this problem run rampant, this process of cancelling one debit card or account to receive another has become a punishment myself and other bank clients have to quite frequently go through. And each time I have to complete this action of cancelling my business debit card because my account was compromised, I never have my EIN available, so I have to verify that I am the authorized user in some other way besides this, and normally this is not a problem. However this time when I called, I was treated in such a way where I could conduct no business, and I do not think I or anyone deserves such treatment, especially in such an unprecedented era such as this, and especially on XXXX, a day of " goodwill toward men. '' If the criminals in these investigations are never going to be brought to justice, I see no reason why banking customer service representatives need to be rude, condescending and almost disrespectful to clients who are simply in need of the help that they are not only supposed to be given, but are in fact paying for through the myriad of fees we as clients have to endure, even in the hardest of times. When I called XXXX and spoke to " XXXX '' and his supervisor " XXXX '' ( or " XXXX '' ), they were so discourteous and rude, that a normally routine conversation was untenable and nauseating to the point where I felt soiled after speaking to them. If " customer service representative '' is going to be their official job description, then in order to correct this situation and see to it that no other clients feel as disrespected as I did, I propose that these representatives simply learn the definition of their employment title, if they are in fact happy about HAVING employment. " Customer service '' means you are there to respectfully and courteously take care of my needs, the client. " Representative '' means that while on the phone with me, your client, you are the voice of your company. If going back to reflect on the call that I made to " XXXX '' and " XXXX, '' I do not believe that the unpleasantness that they displayed on a recorded line " for quality and training purposes and customer assurance '' puts a good face on the company that I and thousands are clients of, and perhaps if they know the definition of their employment title, there will be no excuse the next time they fall short in customer service excellence. America First Credit Union is eliminating their regular checking account that has no fees and replacing it with either a classic checking account with no fees and is free similar to their elimined account or a premium account that will charge a $ XXXX monthly fee. Customers are automatically opted-in to be enrolled in the premium account and must either call customer service or go to a local branch to opt-out of this premium checking account. The counter that the account is free for 30 days and customers can opt-out anytime during this 30-day period. The problem is users are notified by email and many will mistake this email for a marketing email since they send similar emails to market various offers. If customers do read the email, it doesn't seem to indicate that they can opt-out. It gives customers the false impression that AFCU has only the premium account. Most customers will have no idea they were opted-in to the premium account and will only find out after they are charged a $ 6 monthly fee starting in XXXX or XXXX. They will probably have no idea what the premium account is until they are charged {$6.00} and told by AFCU that they were opted in. It is also misleading since AFCU says customers can avoid the {$6.00} fee by having a balance of {$1500.00} but according to their terms a customer must have 1 ) an average daily checking balance of {$1500.00} for the month, 2 ) {$500.00} in direct deposits for the month, and 3 ) a total of at least 20 purchases made on either their Visa debit or Visa credit cards. Many customers will be surprised to see the $ 6 monthly charges since they believed that they only had to have one of these 3 requirements to avoid the {$6.00} fee. Their information on the Classic vs. Premium checking account is also confusing with a statement that the Premium checking has an unlimited amount of transactions. If you ask customer service they indicate there isn't a limit on transactions for the classic but it sounds like there is. They also mention the premium has fraud protection giving customers the impression that the classic checking account doesn't have this protection. They also tout the benefits of the premium account such as smart phone damage insurance and identity theft protection but it seems these are normally available through the Visa agreement for no fee. Customers should be notified by mail for such changes and also shouldn't be automatically opted in even if it is a 30-day free trail.

On XX/XX/XXXX my vehicle was repossessed by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I talked to loss mitigation said they are in the process of charging off my 2 credit cards with 2 loans. They said the total of my charge off would be XXXX. I said that I would like to pay off my auto loan to get my vehicle back. They said that would be okay, if it was before XX/XX/XXXX. They informed me they will hold off on the charging off, If I paid off the auto loan, repo fee, and storage fee by XXXX. She said the total will be XXXX that they also would not give me my title tell the other account have been paid off. on XX/XX/XXXX I paid the bank XXXX and loss mitigation supervisor told me it did not cover the repo fee and they would just be tagged onto my other debt that is owed. At the time I asked how much it would be and they would not informed me cause they didnt know how much it would be. They also said they would email me my paperwork and did not. Later on XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from the same loss mitigation agent that has been talking with me throughout this repossession. she was asking for a verbal agreement on how much I can pay a month to settle my other debt. I just started my new job on XX/XX/XXXX so just gave a rough estimate of XXXX. Now I been paying XXXX every month so far. I ask when I might get my title since the auto loan is paid off and they stated when my debt is paid in full. Its been a fight to get any documents from them about my repossession, or a charge off. They stated they cant provide any documentation of the charge off because they will have to send my account to legal and my car would be repossessed again. Its been a struggle cause I can not pay anything but the XXXX or they send me email starting avoid any possible legal action at this time. After demanding the repression paper work they only will send me the documents of the paperwork that I signed to get my vehicle back and not the auto loan being paid off and the total. When ever I do they said they cant provide it or they will need to send my account to legal. I have no paperwork showing that they can hold my title for collateral for my other debt. A credit card that I believed to be closed years ago ended up with three charges on it, in XX/XX/XXXX. The charges were XXXX XXXX tickets and totaled {$830.00}. Because I did not know this credit card continued to exist, I did not know there were charges on the credit card until I got an email notice from another bank stated that America First Credit Union was placing negative information on my credit report. When I went to the credit union to inquire, they could not immediately identify how I owed them money. But, after running my SSN they were able to find this old credit card. It was shown that the credit union took one payment from a joint savings account to get the credit card current and then the account continued in a past due manner ( because I did not know it existed ) until it was reported to the credit reporting agencies. When faced with this information about an old credit card, that should have been canceled in XXXX of XXXX, I was told by AFCU that the card had a {$16000.00} limit and that the only way to cancel the card was to pay it off. I paid it off immediately and requested it be cancelled. Since XX/XX/XXXX I have been attempting to get AFCU to investigate my fraud claims, reimburse the {$900.00} I paid to close the account and request the removal of the negative late payments from all three credit reporting agencies. I was originally told that because the charges were more than 90 days from the time of purchase, they no longer had recourse with the merchant and considered the matter closed. It was identified that AFCU had my current, name, phone, email address and home address on file but sent the past due notices for this credit card to a home I lived at years ago, when the card was active. I haven't lived there in 3 years. So, I did not receive their notices. In speaking with XXXX XXXX, it appears those traveling on the three one way tickets purchased on XXXX on XXXX, did not have my name or that of my ex-spouse. The billing address the purchaser supplied to XXXX XXXX was not in XXXX or XXXX, which would have been the address on file with the credit card company. They had the same last names and traveled from XXXX on XXXX, on the airline tickets that were purchased on the old credit card that should have been cancelled in XXXX of XXXX.

America First Credit Union notifies consumers to resolve checking accounts that have been overdrawn for an extensive period of time. This timeframe consists of 5 days. The financial institution 's communications continuously arrives in the complainant 's spam folder. The consumer requested that this be fixed for their provided timeframe to not be affected. This was not fixed upon lack of response. Also, the financial institutions requests payment arrangements to prevent account closures. The consumer had provided a payment arrangement to the financial institution. Regardless, the account was still closed. The consumer/complainant is filing a respectful complaint against America First Credit Union because the consumer communicated per request alongside provided a first payment arrangement. This account closure makes it appear as the financial institution does not stick to its word when attempting to negotiate matters with consumers. Initial Complaint : The financial institution 's ATM would wrongly display a balance that exceeds the actual balance on the account. This would be checking the balance when logging in the ATM. Upon withdrawal, this would result to a negative balance. The provided receipt would still present a positive balance after the withdrawal. The consumer would not be aware for an estimated month. A second complaint is being filed because the consumer was performing his part after the financial institution 's most recent communication concerning the negative balance. My acct XXXX had fraud on the acct via pin/card I kept XXXX money into the acct as pending charges flew into the acct and I didnt want over draft fees. I contacted bank several times which stated 1hour and 45 min hold times and set up call backs which I never received finally I sat on hold until I got someone as the funds just kept coming out of the acct in several diff state locations The bank has printed three different cards with the same card number one of the cards along with the bank printed off pin they org shipped must have been stolen and used via my local oil company as it was in the glove box or a foster child there where some charges from XXXX XXXX which I told the agent that must be mine since theyre in my area and most of these charges where all over the place. But if it was a foster child or parent of one or the oil company employees they could have just as easily did transactions at the same store I typically shop at I filed a police report and the local police said theyre a not much they can do as the transactions are in several states. The bank called me up and said they will not protect me from the unauthorized charges. I should be protected from any charge that I did not do on my acct. Ive been with the bank for over a decade and Im being treated unfairly and am told to continue to ask the foster kids to own up ( if its even them ) these are gov kids, theyre on survival mode Im not going to traumatize them more then they where before they came into my life. Regardless who stole the funds I did not authorize or use the funds and need and should be protected and Im disappointed in the bank for treating a long term ah in such a manner. It does not give confidence in the bank to protect money from being used fraudulently the bank should have had fraud prevention on there own side by not mailing out multiple cards through out the years over and over with the same card info out of the blueluckily I hadnt had a problem until now but eventually it became a problem and Im not protected by the bank. I am writing to address this organizations refusal to assist with credit reporting. As with many others I was severely impacted during this past year. After losing a company, a job, my brother, and my father to XXXX, I like many others found myself unable to meet my obligations. America First Credit Union advised they understood what I was dealing with at the time and agreed to defer payments and limit collections on account during this time. However, they failed to provide any real options for assistance and instead have reported this account as being delinquent for the past year. How can an organization that is doing business in America during a pandemic absolutely disregard the needs of its consumers and continue to report detrimental information after advising they would assist. It is of no help to offer to hold off on payments and collection proceedings due to a worldwide pandemic, however still lack in the actual real help provided to people during such a difficult time. After burying my brother and father within a few months of each other I have been able to get myself back to current however am attempting to address the substantial delinquent claims being made to my credit reports. I have attempted to contact America First to discuss this discrepancy within their claims of assistance however was met with an unwillingness or desire by its associates to assist in correcting this. I will ask that America First review its decision to refuse assistance with regards to credit reporting based on the multiple hardships and losses that I personally faced this year and to please review and reverse its decision for negative credit reporting. To provide assistance to its consumers it must fully understand the position of its customers and adjust its practices and procedures during times where the whole world has had to make concessions based on a virus that has crippled the economy and set records for the amount of lives lost. I am able to provide any and all documents that would be requested of me to validate my claims of loss and hardship.

I applied for a loan through America First Credit Union. I applied for a {$10000.00} 3-5 % apr 60 month loan. I was called and said that I was approved but they had only one stipulation ... the loan would only cover 100 % of what the car is valued at. I found a car that was {$10000.00} ( and checked the value on XXXX XXXX XXXX and it was valued at {$10000.00}. ) When i called the loan officer ( named XXXX XXXX XXXX he said he will try and get it approved but wasnt sure because they decided the value was {$10000.00}. A few hours later, I received a phone call from XXXX saying that the loan was fully approved but with one other condition. The condition was that I needed to bring the car into any of their branches for an inspection. I called the seller and she graciously agreed to meet me with the car and we can do the transaction at the bank. When we got there, I was told I was only approved for the {$10000.00}. I called XXXX up again and he again told me that I was approved for the full {$10000.00} and that I am good to sign. But when shown the screen, it said denied. Then with lack of professionalism, the loan officer ( XXXX from XXXX branch ) walked over to my seller and told her that they wont approve the loan unless she lowered the price, ( which was humiliating and disrespectful of him to do that without my permission ). After she agreed to do it, then I was told I was approved for a 14 % interest rate for only 36 months ( which was never mentioned to me until then ... considering I applied for a 3-5 % rate for 60 months ). And then he decided to not approve the {$10000.00} and pulled out the amount {$9800.00} out of nowhere after a few minutes of arguing with him ( still have no idea where he got that number from or why he decided to change the amount ). Then he proceeded to push my seller into that and me into signing that deal. I was lied to from the beginning until the moment I was about to sign. This behavior from this company is unacceptable and I am reporting it in hopes that it doesnt happen to another customer.

I have tried multiple times to speak with America First Credit Union regarding my two loans ( home equity personal and HELOC ) to get them to consider and abide by the CARES Act in regards to my situation due to XXXX, I became unemployed since XX/XX/XXXX. I had paid off every single month the monthly principal and interest amounts on both loans but I am no longer able to do so without furthering myself into credit card debt. I have not had gainful employment since. I was able to be granted their once-every-six-months " skip a payment '' program, of which I was able to skip payments in both June as well as XX/XX/XXXX. However, this is not good enough, so I seek remedial solutions and have tried to ask them and their management to look into addressing the CARES Act and allow me to be granted forbearance since at least one if not both loans are eligible, since at least the non-HELOC is considered a 2nd mortgage. But HELOCs have the term " Home Equity '' in them as well. I am unsuccessful in getting them to contact me and providing a resolution in light of the CARES Act, of which they are not free to ignore. The last time I was told I was going to get an answer was earlier this week on a follow-up phone call, but that never happened. It seems they are starting over every single time as if I never ever spoke about this or something. This is egregious because I am unable to pay the next month without serious harm and damage to me. I am already on forbearance for my home mortgages, so these loans are now a massive hardship on me as I only receive XXXX XXXX as pretty much my only source of income, which doesn't come close to paying anything except utilities and food by itself. I also was told that I would have to fill out a series of paperwork entailing my finances and expenses, but the CARES Act states that that isn't allowed, that banks must merely provide some kind of modification and/or forbearance option without question, until I can find gainful employment or a source of income that get me out of all this hardship.

Please do not mark this as a Dino are because its not. First my credit union refuses to give back but a small portion of funds stolen. Then Im out of town snd I find out they took my debit card from me because of fraud. Fraud wasnt my fault. I do have just an atm card. Upon getting home I go thru my history and find that my daughters soon to be x husband stole my card and used it. While I was with my ill daughter her husband had cameras set up snd I know thats how he got pin. When you log into their system it asks for a pin. My daughters soon to be x hasnt. Even able to be evicted cause of COVID. This man also stole my clothes snd all my belongings I arrived with. He stole his uncle clean car many times along with his valuables. The police were notified. But my credit union wont help me. They arent giving my money back to me and I dont know why. I am the victim and who are they to say anything but I believe you. I told them to pull camera footage and they will see but they would rather ruin my life. On XX/XX/2022 I tried to pay my car note to my lienholder ( AFCU ) but instead of charging my card one time, they charged my card FOUR times and in the end, completely EMPTIED my checking account which I have proof of. I called their main customer service phone number ( XXXX ) and notified them that they charged me 4 times. I was then told that they " did not see any transactions on their end at all '' and even had the audacity to ask me to run my card again to make the payment!! How ridiculous is that! I asked to speak with a supervisor who then told me the same exact thing, " we don't see anything on our end but if you see it on your end, just let it process and then it'll be refunded ''. When I asked him how many business days it will take he HUNG UP IN MY FACE and did not call back! His whole attitude and demeanor was as if I was a nuisance when in reality, I am the client who is now struggling to scrape up money to feed my child because of a mistake made on THEIR end. I am not rich by any means. I do not have {$820.00} to just " throw away ''. That was the last of my money and now I have to wait how ever many business days to get back on my feet. I know I will definitely get my money back but what has me frustrated is the principal. They took NO accountability for their mistake and did not even offer any sort of solution. I'm pretty much " on my own '' with this one. I want to formally issue a complaint about a change that America First Credit Union ( XXXX ) is making that will financially impact all of it's XXXX Checking Account members. They announced on XX/XX/2021 that they will be AUTOMATICALLY rolling EVERY checking account over to their Premium Checking account service, which comes at a {$6.00} a month fee if you do not meet their requirements to waive the fee. Some of the minimum requirements will require the account to maintain a {$1500.00} balance, have at least {$500.00} automatically deposited into the account monthly and have more than 20 transactions with their credit or debit card to waive the $ XXXX monthly fee. I understand that any member can call and have your Checking account moved back over to the free Checking Account, and they are also waiving the {$6.00} fee for the first 60 days, but it is NOT clear when they will roll people over, and my main concern is for ALL of the Elderly members and low income members that may NOT have access to media and will be unfairly rolled into these accounts and lose money. Beyond the fact that so many people will not be able to maintain these new premium standards to avoid the {$6.00} fee, members like myself that hold multiple accounts with them will now need to waste their valuable time calling into their call centers, which I'm sure will have extremely long wait times, just to make a change that should have been an OPTION not an automatic roll over. XXXX members should not be forced into paying a fee if they didn't get notified properly! We live in a world of spam email, and I am sure this type of notification will be easily lost by most members ( if that's even how they will notify people ). I was notified by XXXX and then went over to XXXX to read more. As of this complaint I have not been notified at all by them!

After designing then deciding to build our families dream home on a lot we purchased my wife and I followed through and closed on a Home Construction Loan XX/XX/2022 with America First Credit Union. Just days later after a FED rate hike interest rates began to soar and the realization that my wife and I most likely would not qualify for a Home Mortgage on the back side of our 12 month build process. We then approached our loan officer about options and we were told to be patent and wait for XXXX to finish a pilot program on a 1 time close construction loan to lock in our interest rate that we could roll into. Weeks later no such program was created so we started negotiations on cancelling the note. They insisted on no concessions to be made on their behalf including fees related to construction inspections ( none occurred ) and fees for originating our loan covering a 12 month construction process. A total of {$12000.00} in fees were paid to fund the loan and none were refunded despite trying to negotiate {$7700.00} in forgiveness ( prorated origination fee + inspection fees ). My point to my loan officer was this is a case of services paid for and not provided by their institution and was told simply " it was just the cost of the loan ''. I offered several other reasonable request but all were not even considered. Because XXXX would not work with us we were then forced to secure financing through another financial institution to be able to finalize the cancellation of our note with them that occurred on XX/XX/2022. I had been banking with XXXX for over 20 years, had multiple car loans with them, and had thought that some kind of compromise would be made given our history, circumstance, and future goals but we found no understanding or support for our situation.

I have an open unsecured loan open with America First. and a line of credit. I called in and made a payment towards my unsecured loan. When i make my payment over the phone i usually do another bank institution. by doing this they usually deposit the funds to the savings account then move the funds to the loan. End of XXXX i called in to make my usual payment, for whatever reason this time it was a bit different, rather then instantly going through the system had alerted the agent it was gon na take two business days for my XXXX $ to post. i had deposited XXXX. XXXX $ for my loan and XXXX $ for the line of credit. they notified me to keep an eye out and when they post to just move funds where i need them to go. the next morning i noticed all my funds had moved to the line of credit. when i noticed that error i called into the customer service and explained what had happened. they were able to verify my story by remarks by the previous agent. they had removed the XXXX from the line of credit and applied it to the loan. i thought everything was ok and everything was cleared. a few days later beginning of XXXX i noticed on my credit report it said i had a closed account, i thought it was a bit odd as i didnt request to close any account i was aware i had open. I went to go check my credit and it seems like by america first removing the XXXX it had made my line of credit seem as i was past due since XXXX XXXX XXXX The bank sent it off write to charge off account and collections without reviewing the details of my account payment history first. when i called to complaint of them closing my account the agent noticed i had made payments every month and wasnt sure why it was closed. its ruining my credit and has caused me to drop XXXX points becaus of there mistake

I opened an account with America First Credit Union, This account funded my XXXX account.They closed my account without my knowledge. The bank said they closed it with a notarized letter. They said it was closed in 2018 after my address change. I did not authorize. I have a letter of that but, I am holding it for my personal records. I did not notarize a letter to close my acccount. When I called them all my questions had been changed to XXXX information, My address was changed without my knowledge. My funds have been drained. My identity has been stolen, I have contacted the FBI and made a report to the local police they did not want to take the information. I am in the process of a hellacious divorce with a person who's name was all switched over to their information. I need help. He is an IT tech and had access to all my information. When he came back to visit the kids he had a social security card and passport and other personal information. I do not know if he is responsible but, it is possible. On XX/XX/2021, I found out America First Credit Union was planning to roll out their 'Premium Checking ' feature. Their plan of execution is what I have an issue with. They are automatically enrolling every member 's account, with only an email or a mail notice that looks like junk mail. Their explanation of the benefits isn't clear. For example, one part states that, and I'm paraphrasing, {$1500.00} is required to remain on deposit with a couple of other stipulations, and the small fee will be waived. Shortly thereafter, it says that there is a no fee low balance checking, but clearly states that if our balance falls below {$1500.00}, we will be assessed a $ XXXX monthly fee. They are offering a basic checking account for free, but we have to notify them that we choose that option. Hold times for the call center is over 30 minutes. It's now been two days since I sent an email to say I want basic checking, and I haven't received confirmation they've received it. We're located in Utah, which has some of the highest rates of Covid-19 in the country, so yes. I could go to a branch, but was it wise of them to roll this out now during the pandemic? I have even taken to social media to ask the questions I have but haven't gotten a response. I'm sure their employees are overwhelmed. I fully recognize that a $ XXXX monthly fee is a small amount. The main issue I have is that this is coming from a credit union, where members are supposed to be able to vote and have a say in the things that happens, but this blindsided everyone I know. Also, I hate the fact that they are enrolling every checking account and expecting people to opt out if they so choose. Rather, this should be an opt in option.

On or around XX/XX/23 I deposited a bank loan check via AFCU mobile app of {$8000.00}. The system informed me that funds would be available within 2 business days.I called the bank to see if XX/XX/23 was considered one of the 2 business days. I was then instructed that the available date had been revised to XX/XX/23, no longer XX/XX/23. I immediately requested the bank stop the transactions, so that I could either walk the check into the branch or try a check cashing facility. I was informed this was not possible, that they would not be returning anything or reversing the transaction and that I had to just wait until XX/XX/23, I called the bank manager multiples times and was informed the same thing, despite my bank account overdrawn and multiple checks bouncing. Per bank manager, XXXX, the account didn't have a history of such a sizable check so I immediately brought to his attention that a check for {$36000.00}, {$25000.00} and {$10000.00} plus multiple more had been deposited in this particular bank account. I was informed, " yeah but not recently ''. history is history I called the bank that the check was drawn on and was informed that AFCU could call the bank verification unit and verify the availability of funds. I called AFCU XX/XX/23 and requested that they call the bank verification unit ( XXXX ) to verify funds and per customer svcs " this process was basically for CASHIER CHECKS because personal or business checks funds could be available on that date but by the time the checks hits the clearing house, funds may or maynot be depleted. '' Again I requested a reversal or the check and again was told, its way too late and I just had to allow the transactions run its course.

We are getting charged on the daily like a credit card, but this is on motorhome which is currently our primary living space. And it's being charged daily we feel like this will never get paid off. After purchasing the motorhome we have a lot of problems with it. The day we signed papers at XXXX XXXX, they kept saying you have to sign these papers otherwise we will sell it to someone else and you will lose your Deposit. She said that America First Credit Union was the one that financed us and they are a great credit union. It was close to the end of the day so the lady told us what papers say and you can trust us. We never got papers that day to read over it. We never got to test drive motorhome. Because motorhome wouldnt start they said someone left lights on. So they would give papers when we come back. Came back they had motorhome running. I decided to shut it off and turn it back on it did not start. So their mechanic looked at and said the alternator wasnt working and he would fix it. So we had to wait another week. Came back again and again it was running. So shut off but this time it ran. We told them we never got to test drive it. They took us on our test drive, and went into a parking lot. Then I got to drive it. Seemed fine. So we took it home. Papers were in glove box of motorhome. We figured they were so accommodating fixing we didnt even think of reading papers, plus was so excited to have the motorhome. Two days later motorhome would not start called them they said come pick up a new battery. Picked up new battery noticed it only has a one year warranty. They said thats all they could do. Since then things on motorhome keep breaking.

I have been with America First Credit Union for several years. I have always paid my balances on time. On XX/XX/XXXX I used their app to pay off my credit card balance. However, their limit was {$2500.00}. My balance was {$4900.00} so I made the {$2500.00} payment and called the very next day and spoke with XXXX. I told her there was a limit and I wanted to pay off my credit card balance but the app wouldnt allow it. She said she would take the remaining balance payment over the phone and waive the fee. Everything was great until I looked at my XXXX statement and I saw she did NOT take the authorized amount of {$2400.00}. Instead she processed XXXX. I did not authorize this nor was this the correct balance. I immediately called and spoke with XXXX. She corrected the situation by providing a XXXX credit to my checking. When asked about the interest fees she stated on a recorded line that because payment want in full I was assessed interest. I explained to her what had happened and asked for them to waive it because of THEIR limits. She could not. She transferred me to XXXX who wasnt able to help either. Finally I get another supervisor who said shed try to make an exception and would call me back. She called me back shortly after we hung up and said they couldnt waive the fees but recommended I pay earlier than my due date. This is unacceptable and honestly quite scandalous. I paid my balance on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I shouldnt be charged frivolous interest on XXXX for a zero balance. I am filing a complaint and rude nature of the employees within America First Credit Union. Having spoken to multiple associates about a vehicle payment that this organization has refused to accept. Upon attempting to contact this organization to discuss this I have encountered rude and unprofessional people that refuse to provide information to the department heads and managers of this organization. On XX/XX/15 at around XXXX am I contacted America First to discuss a block placed on my account from making payments to my loan. I spoke to an individual by the name of XXXX who refused to provide information of corporate leadership at America First Credit Union. This individual lied and provided misinformation on multiple occasions during this call as well as refused to provide a supervisor and threatened to hang up on me. An unfortunate and disgusting display of professionalism by numerous employees in this organization. XXXX that obviously rewards mistreatment and unprofessional handling of its customers. Also Speaking to XXXX who instead of providing options chose to use the moment to again threaten and cause undue stress and anxiety. These employees are using their titles and positions to act as thugs and bullies of this organization. A threat to the mental well being of anyone that has to deal with their thug approach I have attempted to resolve the matter within this organization and instead have been met with threats and frustration. Beginning on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX, I checked our checking account balance and found that someone in California got a hold of our debit card number and started charging over {$1100.00} in food an entertainment! I called the credit union ( America First ) at XXXX. I was sent to call center in XXXX who took my report and supposedly put a hold on the transactions that were unauthorized and not yet cleared out account. Later in the morning, when credit union opened at XXXX XXXX I called again to speak with someone here. They informed us that they have put a hold on the account and to go in and get a new debit card. We did so right away. We were told that this issue would be taken care of in about 3 days and was high priority due to all of the charges. Well, here it is XX/XX/2022 and the credit union has let all transactions go through and empty our account of all funds plus pulled money from a line of credit to cover the fraudulent charges!!! I called again today, and was told they have just made this high priority but I was told week it was high priority and being worked on. on XX/XX/2022 I went out to my empty the trash at XXXX XXXX and my XXXX XXXX XXXX was gone. I was behind on my payment and had let them know that I was going to court for child support and would pay as soon as my stipend came in. It was late. But I was only behind 2 months. So, I thought I had some time. I have another car through them, and they had also put a order out to have it towed but it was in the garage. They were willing to let me fix the payment on that car to not have it towed which I did. However, the XXXX they took was 100 days past due, but the car was XXXX. I wouldn't have let there be a XXXX in payment history. So, I asked them to see, and they said that it didn't matter because they had the XXXX now. So, my option was to refinance, and I could have it back. I agreed. They came back and said because I Had late payments and missed payments and now this repossession that they wouldn't give me an additional loan. I am a single mom, and I Can't do anything at this point. The problem comes down to the lien. They bank didn't perfect the lien and I have the title to the XXXX with no lien on it from the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I just got a letter stating that I am abandoning the vehicle and that way the bank can have the title, but I have the title. No one will help me to get it back. When they finally admitted that they made a mistake, they are making me pay all of the towing fees and the turnover the title with no written agreement. I have the tittle with no lien, but they won't release my car and won't let me refinance but I want to and have made payments up to this point.

I established a monthly payment to a company via my checking account with America First Credit Union. The credit union processed this as a charge to a credit card I have not used in many years. When I last used the card I had minimum payments established to avoid delinquency. When this new monthly charge began XX/XX/XXXX I expected it to come from my checking account which held a balance of more than XXXX. Instead it came from my credit card and minimum payments were not automatically taken out. The credit union did not notify me of this delinquency at any time by phone or email. When I later found out about it they told me letters were sent to an incorrect address. When I found out about the delinquency I immediately paid the balance and closed the account. I also asked for a print out of all activity. I did this on XX/XX/XXXX I noticed the credit union without my permission offset payments using my checking account on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX, all in XXXX. Despite the offset to pay off my debt, without my permission, they continued to report this account as delinquent to the credit reporting agencies. I disputed both the initial charge to my card as it should have been deducted from checking from the beginning as well as the late credit reporting and offset out of my checking account. They also could not tell me why my automatic payments were turned off. I was notified today, XX/XX/XXXX that my dispute was denied and that my account is being reported as delinquent.

On XX/XX/XXXX, Scammers were able to access my savings to transfer XXXX to my checking account. I was lead to believe the transfer was a deposit made by the callers and was told I should send a wire transfer for the amount to their account at XXXX XXXX in California. I went to my America First Credit Union to make the wire transfer. The teller asked if I had done prior business with this company. I replied XXXX because the scammers told me they were from a company who I paid to fix my computer back in 2021. My complaint is that the teller and his supervisor were perfectly aware that I was being scammed, Still they allowed the wire transfer to take place. I spoke with another tell at that branch about policy and procedures regarding these types of scams and she told me that they are supposed to inform the customer of what they see is happening and stop the scam from being completed. My complaint is procedure was not followed by my teller even though he was totally aware I was being scammed. I pay extra for premium checking which gives extra protection to your savings account. making it harder for someone to hack. My other complaint is with the branch XXXX who failed to try and stop the transaction with XXXX XXXX even though it was reported less than XXXX minutes after, I want America First to take responsibilities and make up the loss which could have been prevented. America first is marking accounts as past due when payments have been made each month on the credit card. Sometimes multiple payments in each month and it will still show Im past due. I have contacted the bank six months in a row with concerns because if I dont they will charge me a {$35.00} late fee if I fail to call and make them fix their mistake. I get paid once per month and pay all my bills immediately. If additional money remains I will make additional payments through the month. Regardless of when Im making these payments it is still coming up as past due. This is effecting my credit score with past due constantly showing on my account and definitely not okay when they keep telling me to just make my payments later in the month which allows them to collect more interest. I feel this is clearly theft from their customers and absolutely effects me and Im sure many others with this issue they are having in their systems not correctly updating payments. I do have screen shots of all my payments as well as the past due banners on my account that shouldnt be there at all. Including one showing the banner as well as the clear payment made within that month. None of the problems listed adequately described my problem. Lender : America First Credit Union, based in XXXX. Our lender for our vehicle didn't receive our title from the seller for over a year from the date we purchased the truck in Utah, and when they didn't receive it in the requisite time frame, they never followed up to get our title from the seller. Therefore, they didn't have it when we needed it. We lived in XXXX at the time we bought the truck. We have since moved to XXXX and our XXXX tag has expired. We have called every single month since XXXX trying to get them to send our title to the state of XXXX, and they have been unable to do so. When we initially called, it was because they never received our title, so they ordered a duplicate, confirmed they received the duplicate with us, but have continued to fail to send it to the XXXX XXXX XXXX for us. We have called every month ( XXXX through XXXX ) to request that they send the title, and they continue to act confused about where the title is, whether they have sent it, and they never send us follow up communications about our requests, even when they say they will. Someone from they dealership added or changed the length of loan term from 6 years to 10 years and the bank has the motorcycle listed as an RV in their system. We have had this XXXX for a couple years and recently ( XX/XX/2021 ) were switching our XXXX from our XXXX account ( personal ) to our XXXX account ( business ) - we knew it would potentially interrupt our existing XXXX process with XXXX so when they called to let us know our payment had been returned we immediately paid both that month and the next month payments to make sure we did not have any issues moving forward. When they called we asked them repeatedly if the account was past due and would be reported as past due - they said that the account was current and that no derogatory information had been or would be reported to the credit bureaus. So you can imagine our surprise when we got an alert through XXXX that our score had been dramatically impacted by a 30 day late reporting. We knew the information was inaccurate and reached out to XXXX who said to contact their dispute department- which we did and left a message - no response - so after a month we finally had a friend suggest we submit a dispute through XXXX to XXXX, which we did. After 20 days they processed it and made NO CHANGES to their reporting even though we provided all the information we could. On XXXX XXXX I went to deposit {$6900.00} into the branch at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX, Utah. There were two other customers in front of me in the line. My wife accompanied me inside because we had dinner reservations. We were greeted by XXXX XXXX who told us she wanted us to use an electronic ATM-style machine. I declined. On XX/XX/2019 my wallet was stolen. I walked into the lobby at American First Credit Union in XXXX XXXX and asked to have my account frozen. While speaking to the teller three charges hit my account. I completed the dispute form and left. On XX/XX/XXXX I called to ask why their fraud alert didn't notify me and was notified my account had not been frozen. I was told by the fraud department that I had to be willing to pursue criminal charges to be eligible for provisional credit. Introduction : The bank ( America First Credit Union ) block my funds due to I owed them money from a credit card I do have with them which I see no fair. I have an auto loan with America First. Back in XXXX of this year I contacted them regarding an insurance waiver due to the vehicle no longer in working order. They agreed to waive collateral for 6 months, through XX/XX/XXXX. I have a document signed by both of us. They then started sending me letters I believe in XXXX letting me know I needed full coverage. When I called them twice on this matter, I was informed it was only a system glitch and it was being fixed. I also was in the process of completing a salvage bid and in XXXX, that finally took place. I have emails from XXXX XXXX department advising once the vehicle is picked up by the salvage yard, I can cancel insurance. Which I did. On XX/XX/XXXX I signed a document from the bank that states my future payments are {$410.00} effective XX/XX/28. America First then added onto my balance {$160.00} more totaling {$580.00} a month from the " lack of insurance '' they erroneously were stating. Therefore, my {$410.00} payment for XXXX was recognized as insufficient and I was subsequently reported 30 days past due to the credit bureaus. This has dropped my score significantly and America First offers nothing other than an apology. This is against federal regulations to do what they're doing and can easily let to a lawsuit.

I bought this vehicle in XXXX and then moved to Missouri. In Missouri the state requires they have the title or a Department of Revenue form signed by lien holder stating they will not send the title. I'm simply trying to register this vehicle in the state of Missouri and can not get the form I need to do so. I mailed a change of address along with MO form 5834 to the lien holder several weeks ago. I even included a return address stamped envelope. I sent these forms to all lienholders at the same time. I purchased a car in XX/XX/XXXX with financing arranged by the auto dealer with America First Credit Union ( " AFCU '' ). I also insured the vehicle with XXXX XXXX and provided the proof of insurance to the dealer and AFCU. On XX/XX/XXXX AFCU added {$6200.00} to my account balance for collateral insurance coverage, despite full insurance coverage being in force with XXXX XXXX. They failed to provide any notice to me regarding the purchase of the insurance and the addition of the premium to my loan balance. The collateral insurance charge is nearly 8 times the cost of my insurance with XXXX XXXX and represents more than 15 % of the cost of the car. I learned of this a year after it occurred after chasing down AFCU to provide me on line access credentials so I could look at my account. Since then in multiple attempts to amicably resolve this I have spent hours on hold with AFCU agents, have twice been told that supervisors will call me back ( they didn't ), been sent to an AFCU office that turned out to be unstaffed, and have tried to resolve it through serial email communications. Their efforts collectively represent a tireless pattern of obfuscation and misdirection to reap a windfall on an invalid insurance charge.

I applied for a land loan with America First Credit Union and submitted all the requested documentation. Upon review of the documentation, they sent me a term sheet/loan estimate and notified me that the loan was approved contingent upon an appraisal that placed the XXXX at XXXX % or less. In order to proceed to closing, they required me to pay a {$1000.00} non-refundable fee that accounted for the cost of the appraisal as well as some origination fees. The appraisal was received with a value that exceeded the expected market value and placed the XXXX at XXXX %. During the week of closing, America First emailed me explaining that they would require an additional guarantor or they would not close on the loan. Additionally, they stated they would change the loan terms based on the income of the additional guarantor. I did not send them nor did they request any additional financial information after the loan estimate was signed and the appraisal was completed and paid. There has been no change in financial circumstance that would warrant a change in the loan estimate after the {$1000.00} fee is paid. Someone fraudulently opened an account with America First Credit Union in my former name and spent {$17000.00} according to the negative information that I discovered on my credit report. The address reported that is associated with the account is a place I have never lived at or have ever been associated with. I have lived in Texas since XX/XX/XXXX and I do not think we have America First Credit Union here. On my credit report, it states this account was opened in XX/XX/XXXX. I legally changed my name in XX/XX/XXXX and also changed my name on my social security number in XX/XX/XXXX so if this account were truly mine, I would have used my current name, XXXX XXXX XXXX, to open the account. America First Credit Union ( AFCU ) failed for OVER 11 WEEKS to close my account and remit funds after written notice and after they stated in writing they WOULD close the account and send funds. On XXXX XX/XX/2021 Moved from XXXX to XXXX, Updated address on account and sent secure email asking to close it. XXXX XXXX AFCU replied, " Thank you for contacting America First! XXXX, We received your account closure notice and will complete that process, which consists of mailing to the address we have on file a cashier 's check made payable you in the amount of your combined funds ... '' On XXXX XXXX Account was STILL not closed. I used secure chat to ask what happened. They said I needed to call by phone. First phone call was disconnected when I asked for agent ( instead of automated access ). Second call required 17 minutes with an agent and supposedly now they will actually close the account. Request CFPB reiterate top America First Credit Union their obligation to close accounts and remit funds promptly. Request America First Credit Union Formally adjust their poor procedures so that they ACTUALLY close accounts when requested in writing and when they already agreed in writing to do so.

America First credit union is rolling out a forced {$72.00} a year premium checking account for all its members and they are doing so in a sneaky way. First, rather than have it stated very clearly when you log into online banking that this is happening with an opt-out option they are only sending little emails that don't include out to opt-out of it. When I signed on to America first part of the terms and conditions were that they had free checking and no underhanded fees. In order to opt-out of this premium checking, you have to call and wait on hold for 35+ minutes. This is something a bank would do rather than a member 's first credit union. The best part about going with a credit union is no monthly fees. I wish they offered this as an option, instead of as something they automatically set up and we need to call to cancel. It goes against everything Ive always thought America First stood for. Even if the benefits are great the way this is being rolled out feels sneaky. They are upgrading free accounts without consent to a paid account service. Though the services provided may be nice we can not opt out without calling or visit a bank. Issue 1 - no consent. They have notified but opt in automatically is not okay. Issue 2 - their response on social media is forcing it down our throats and telling us to like it. Issue 3 - opt out process is intentionally inconvenient and a dark pattern that is intended to discourage people from changing. This is a practice used by unscrupulous companies and reduces my trust in general with the company drastically. Issue 4 - two month " free trial '' is code for " you will forget about this in a while and not realize you are paying for it nor are you using the service. '' If everyone used this service to full extent they could not afford to provide it. This service is intended to be used minimally and they are relying on unsavory company tactics to get more money from their customers. Again another blow to the trust of the customers.

America First Credit Union has a grace period of 15 days until an account goes past due, I was a couple days shy of that when I tried to make a payment on a credit card with them that I hold a balance of {$900.00} on which I pay off each month through my chase account. The AFCU account got locked because I got 1 security question wrong ( improper capitalization ) so I could not access the online portal. I called several times and their hold time was over an hour long so I scheduled a call back and never heard from them! Which resulted in having to wait till Monday to speak with the bank on the phone again to get it unlocked so I could then make the payment manually and reconnect my chase account. They don't have physical locations in Georgia so going into the branch wasn't an option. I have been making payments consistently every month and this fluke of an issue really messed up my credit to where I am not able to buy a house for my family in the time period I was hoping.

I recently checked my credit and noticed that America First Credit Union was reporting lates on a couple accounts when I was never late. For the months of XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX of 2019 I had made payments online. I had a few issues but didn't think anything of it as it said my payment had been received. Well at that time I looked at my credit and noticed these lates and called immediately to make sure my payment went through. The representative I talked told me that the payment had processed and I was good to go. However, I got another late and called because I was so confused. Apparently my payments did not process like I was told and I paid it off but I was under the impression that this current! On XX/XX/XXXX, 2 different news outlets reported that my credit union was forcing members into a premium account and they wanted to avoid people closing accounts so the credit union was sending letters and emails in rounds. You have to meet 3 requirements to keep your current free account and during a pandemic this is very hard for most households. If you don't keep up their requirements, the account is forced into the premium version and you have to pay. I called to ensure my account wouldn't be moved to a premium and I was harassed and told I couldn't trust the news and to just wait until my letter arrived. I was very clear I didn't want to be forced into premium and will be moving accounts elsewhere. I was then placed on hold until the agent hung up. This is wrong. I shouldn't have my accounts moved without notice and be forced to pay for something I don't consent to.

It would seem that either I am not able to communicate well with my credit union or I am not being fully understood. Over a month ago I had asked America First Credit Union for ( 1 ) an investigation into why it seems that I was charged two withdrawal transaction fees for the same individual withdrawal at an ATM and also ( 2 ) change my mailing address to the address that they have on file notarized, but as of yet neither of these things has happened and the latter is causing unnecessary undue hardship as it has taken quite some time and effort to effect what seems to amount to a minor bureaucratic action that should only take minutes to complete. I rely on my credit union to handle matters of fiduciary account management without bias or discrimination. Since I am positive that they strive to do so, I am interested in why these actions are taking so long.

America First FCU, headquartered in XXXX, UT, has done almost nothing to combat the spread of the coronavirus. While considered an essential business that must remain open during this pandemic time, they have only closed a few of their branches and keep most of the branch lobbies open to all. This is very concerning and does nothing to prevent/slow the coronavirus from spreading. Many other financial institutions have made the ethically right move of only keeping their drive-thru open at branch locations, but closing their lobbies. America First FCU appears adamant on keeping their lobbies open, which puts their employees and their membership in highly increased danger of contracting and further spreading the virus. They do not care if this means people in their organization and in their communities become ill or worse. This is unethical and disreputable.

I had already spoken to them about this because I was in the hospital for months and we had to move due to my health. I changed my address on everything, even with the postal office but somehow America First kept sending my statements to my old address. I wasn't aware about any balance and never got a call saying my account was going past due. I immediatley made a payment as soon as I found out. I called America First and explained that they were sending my statements to my old address and since I was out sick, my wife was taking care of things and unless she gets a statement there is no way for her to know if I have something to pay. I used America first credit unions atm on XX/XX/XXXX to make a cash deposit ( around XXXX ). Afcu is part of the XXXX XXXX XXXX ( so is my bank ). The machine had taken {$110.00} from me. America First Credit Union has begun to adopt a strategy not unlike the major banks in which they reorganize charges to ensure that an overdraft is triggered. This is particularly evident when large payments are attempted ( i.e. Rent, Insurance, etc. ). Large payments are held days after the due date especially with recurring payments that are scheduled. This occurs on a monthly basis with my insurance payments. If I am not on top of my account, they will surge all of the smaller charges before applying the larger charges to ensure an overdraft is triggered. It is so prevalent I no longer use this establishment to pay rent because I can not trust that my rent payment will be honored in a timely fashion. This must be remedied.

I opened a new credit card account with my credit union. I then tried to transfer a balance from a Line of Credit over to the new credit card balance. The credit union 's system allowed me to do this, but they did not in fact transfer anything. The instead added to my LOC the amount of I tried to transfer. I have been getting denied business credit and found out that my business can't be verified due to the fact that old information from old checking accounts with America First Credit Union. The company in question, ( America First Credit Union ), has yet as of, XX/XX/2023, to change status of a paid off auto loan from account charged off to paid in full. The account was paid off, directly inside the companies own branch, on the date of XX/XX/2023 at XXXX. I accidentally paid my XXXX bill from my American First Credit Union checking account instead of my usual checking account. In XX/XX/2021 I paid XXXX installment loan payments online via the companies mobile app. I made both payments and on XX/XX/2021 I went onto the pay to pay XXXX payment. I recently discovered through my new monitoring service this account being reported I made efforts to remove this account from my file as the amount does not belong to me. This account was fraudulently opened through this company in XXXX of 2018 an has been reported to the FTC and authorities as Identity theft. I have submitted all of my information needed to resolve this matter in this complaint and through the FTC report attached and do not feel comfortable giving any further information in any way to any others at this time due to the further possibilities of identity theft.

America First Credit Union is forcing all of its members to upgrade to a paid checking account when previous to this they have always been free. They have made it difficult to switch back to a free checking account by being unclear in their initial emails and social media communications about how to switch back to a free account, and the new free account comes with considerably more restrictions and less services than the old free account. This is a predatory hoping that people won't go through the trouble of switching back to the free accounts so they can charge you for what they use to include for free.

Everyone of their account holders will be moved to that premium checking account. They stated you can call a number to opt out of the premium checking and have the normal checking, which is free. I was requested to provide proof of insurance for a commercial trailer and have done so multiple times starting about XX/XX/2020. On XX/XX/2020 the lender placed additional insurance with a deductible of only {$200.00} and a cost of {$4400.00} for one year of coverage and added the balance to my loan when they only require a deductible of {$2500.00} and shouldn't need this added insurance anyway. This credit union is offering rates and " customized '' quotes on their website, but the actual rates and lender fees are significantly higher than offered, and what the website prompts you to apply for. The loan officer had no explanation for why the actual rates are .25-50 higher, plus discount points added. There're discrepancies between what the merchant charged and what the bank charged.
