Over a year ago I went to the emergency room, upon being released I talked with the front desk and they were able to waive my charges due to my financial situation. Over a year went by and I noticed a collection on my credit report for {$820.00}, I called the company and they claim it was related to medical bills from a year ago. I never received any bills from the hospital, in fact I have paperwork showing I have {$0.00} balance. I called the company again after trying to distthe charge with my credit company for months and now they say there is a second collection of over {$2000.00} alongside the {$800.00}. They will not remove this from my credit report and want me to make payments to them.

I called the number provided to settle a debt that was paid off, but the phone number I found was the wrong number for the original company. The person acted like a representative of XXXX, the original debt collector, but they were a scam artist pretending to be with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I gave them my social security number and debit card number, but luckily the card had no funds for them to take. They tried to get me to use a different card, but then I realized they were asking way too much information. When I called the scammer out, he immediately hung up the phone.

Sapientes funding and XXXX XXXX keep selling the debt back and forth. This debt is from identity theft someone in another state 500 miles away used my name and personal information to obtain emergency medical treatment at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I live in XXXX XXXX and have never traveled or lived in XXXX in my whole life. These people need to do a better job verify who they are seeing. If they would have asked for Identification or my health insurance card. They would have easily seen the person they where seeing was not me.

I received a letter from XXXX and associates on XX/XX/XXXX about a doctor bill that is past due. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX have also reported this information to the credit reporting agencies. I reached out to my insurance company to see why the bill was not paid by them on XXXX XXXX and was notified this outstanding bill falls under the Federal Surprise Billing Law and I am not responsible for this bill. I contacted XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and they refused to stop collection activity.

XXXX XXXX has sent multiple letters saying we owe a debt to Sapientes Funding. We have never heard of either company. When i requested more information about the original creditor, all that was returned was a po box number, no information on what or who was owed. I do not want this to harm my otherwise excellent credit and am trying to verify if it is a scam.

I looked up my credit report and I have 2 collections account from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. One for {$1700.00} and the other for {$670.00} on XX/XX/XXXX for a company in Washington called Sapientes Funding II LLC. I have never lived in Washington nor have I ever had any kind of business loan. It brought my credit score down XXXX pts from good to fair.

They reported to credit bureau that I have an account in collections with them ( XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) from " Sapientes Funding LLC '' in the amount of {$1700.00}. I called them when I found this on my credit report and they could not find an account in my name or with my social security number, so basically it did not exist.

I went to check my credit report and XXXX and associates was on my credit report. The original creditors is listed as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The date reported is XX/XX/2023. The amount is {$1200.00} dollars. I never applied or heard of this company. I did not receive a loan on my behalf in my name nor social security number.

I was told this was an attempt to collect several different medical debts that XXXX sold it to some place called sapientes funding to cover up that it was medical related, who then handed it over to XXXX XXXX XXXX to handle. These debts were paid by insurance and all copays were paid. There should be no debt owed.

Received letter from XXXX and associates stating they were debt collectors and I owe a debt to Sapientes Funding II LLC which I have never heard of. I would like to know if this is a scam. The letter stated the debt is from XXXX in the amount of {$850.00}. Did not know if I should respond to the company or not.
