Consumers BEWARE!!! We started with this company in XX/XX/XXXX and after a few weeks XXXX ( the owners nephew ) kept asking us for the same information we had already sent and when we questioned what was happening in the process he was ALWAYS very vague and would say it was being handled by his " higher ups '' AKA his uncle. That he was the liaison and had to wait for them. They were ALWAYS " in a meeting '' ( translation on the golf course. ) They took no consideration that people were waiting for them to do their jobs. We had numerous closing dates only to be disappointed after each date had come & gone. SO we started following up with the closing attorney an found out there was NEVER a closing scheduled any of the times he claimed. LIE after LIE, then we had to have an appraisal which he scheduled late as well and that took 3 weeks and we had to jump thru more hoops. The issues with the appraisal was already identified in the inspection report 2 months back and he acted like it was a surprise. When we talked to the appraiser he told us he had informed them when we put in our offer of these issues. Again we found more lies from them.

With all the missing paperwork that we had to keep refaxing makes one wonder how well they secure our personal information. XXXX also kept trying to get us to give him our login and password information on our personal & bank accounts. Not in a millions years as he was very untrustworthy & shady in our opinion. Since I had to work, my wife faxed and fielded a lot of the information he requested and after he became upset because she caught him in lies and then he would just email me. So he did n't want to deal with women/wives because she caught him and would follow-up in his lies and deception. It was only after we got the manager at the realtors office involved did it hold him more accountable. Because his " higher ups '' were family and they were not going to do anything. We finally closed in XX/XX/XXXX after fighting thru every phase of the process Then they made us put money in escrow for a deck repair after the repairs were done XXXX had NO CLUE how to release the escrow money. Here we go again, money held up & being punished for calling him out and being caught in more lies. First email said oh its easy an nothing to worry about, then he sent the inspector out. Then he said he " was waiting for the inspectors paperwork '' LOL we called the inspector and he said it was sent to XXXX same day. Another lie so when we called him out on that he blamed the Attorney so we called XXXX XXXX office and he could n't believe that XXXX was blaming them AGAIN.

When we called him out on that lie, well you guessed it, he said, it was " THE HIGHER UP 'S FAULT '' LOL Lie after lie and he hated being caught when we would question him. So his vengeance to us was to make us wait longer to release our money back to us.

So we would like to warn the public and tell our story so they could have a successful stress & lie free home buying experience. BEWARE of this company and its lies. If you read the complaints from the Virginia office others have had the same experiences.

ALCOVA Mortgage, LLC XXXX # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX I have been working with Alcova mortgage in XXXX since the beginning of XXXX on the purchase of a home. I was prequalified in XXXX and assured on several occasions that I did qualify for that amount. I went under contract in mid XXXX, nothing was done on my file until the end of XXXX. The process ended up being drug out for 60 days and still no clear answer as to why the loan had not closed. During this 60 days of being under contract, I followed up daily, half the time you could n't get in touch with the loan officers and when I did, I was just fed lie after lie, excuse upon excuse. I did n't really know what was going on until almost XXXX60 days in, when they tell me they are having problems getting an approval from the underwriter. Now I have lost my earnest money and money I spent on an appraisal. Never the less the were very nonchalant about the whole matter. Not caring that I lost money, time, missed out on purchasing a home that I loved. A broker referred me to them. Much to my regret

On XX/XX/2019 we were to meet at the Alcova location in XXXX Ga. Managers name is XXXX XXXX to close on our home we are the sellers and the buyers used Alcova mortgage the day before around late afternoon we were emailed by the office saying there was an issue and we cant close until its resolved well long story short we vacated our home and moved into our new purchase home and sat in waiting for 8 days phone calls were not returned we were lied to and had to push them to tell us something the 8th day we pushed so hard we got an email saying underwriting will denied this what?!!! We heard the loan office by the name of XXXX was friends with the buyers and she tried to push it thru. We are now under enormous financial pressure because of her. She XXXX should be terminated this was so embarrassing and stressful for us I will never recover from the emotional roller coaster they had us on. My agent and loan office said in 19 years they have never seen this before.

I applied for a mortgage after I give all the documents, loan was pre- approved and my daughter spoke with with mortgage broker trying to an understanding of closing costs and mortgage payment, I believe their was misunderstanding between the mortgage broker and my daughter. After, my daughter apologized and the mortgage broker accepted the apology but he dont be surprised if I dont do the closing. For me he did that just because of my daughter. I am the customer not my daughter. So he call my son today to we not qualified and we are loosing {$5000.00} down payment. Its not fair. And he lied to by having someone called as vice-president of company, to let us know that he was fired. Broker name ( XXXX XXXX )

Alcova has failed to pay my R.E. taxes. I have an escrow account with more than enough money to cover the payment. I have been trying to get them to pay it for over a month now. It is severely delinquent. I started contacting them a month ago when I received the delinquent notice. I have been told numerous times that the issue has been noted, and escalated. To date, the taxing authority has not received my tax payment. I have requested a refund of my escrow so that I may pay my own taxes to no avail
