CarePayment sent me a " bill '' in the mail and they have violated several sections of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. 1. They included language on the front and back of the envelope that imply that I am in debt. That violates my consumer 's right to privacy and also violates section 15 USC 1692F8 of the FDCPA. All mail carriers and everyone who is at my abode location sees this information! 2. They also stated in the letter that I owe {$120.00}. That is also a violation of the FDCPA section 15 USC 1692B2 because it states that you CAN NOT state that such consumer owes any debt. 3. The Truth In Lending section says that in ANY consumer credit transaction the finance charge is supposed to be the SUM OF ALL CHARGES and there are to be no cash comparable type transactions included. That means I am not supposed to be billed anything under a consumer credit transaction. CarePayment is in violation of federal law 15 USC 1605 AND 15 USC 1692E10. They are using false representation and deceptive means to attempt to collect an alleged debt concerning a consumer. 4. CarePayment also used obscene and profane language in the alleged " bill '' that they sent to my abode location. They used threatening language in the contents of the mail to persuade me to pay a bill that I am not supposed to be billed anyway. They used threatening language of adding late fees 5. CarePayment also violated section 15 USC 1692 ( 2 ) ( A ) of the FDCPA. They falsely represent the character, amount, and legal status of an " alleged '' debt that they sent to me in the mail.

She said she would call back XXXX XXXX. I heard nothing after that until, XX/XX/XXXX when I got an invoice from Care Payment, which is a collection agency for XXXX XXXX. I called them back and they said I should call XXXX. I called, spoke to XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, and she said I should show a copy of my credit card statement. I said I had a few credit cards at that time and they were hacked, shortly after the XXXX XXXX. I said I can't get information on the closed accounts. I asked why they waited almost one year to send me an invoice, and they just apologized.. I recently visited XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and owed some small medical debt to them. XXXX partners with a company called CarePayment ( CP ). Through CarePayment, XXXX offers their customers a 0 % line of credit. They advertise that all a customer has to do to opt-in to this line of credit is to not pay their bill for XXXX days and they'll receive further communication from CP. " If you can not pay the entire balance within XXXX days, our partner, CarePayment, will notify you regarding a XXXX interest monthly payment plan. You will receive a welcome kit from CarePayment in the mail that includes your first statement with the due date and the amount of your monthly payment. '' This process worked perfectly for my bills dated XXXX and XXXX. However, I also had a bill dated for XXXX that, instead of being sent to CP and applied to my 0 % line of credit, is being forwarded to collections. XXXX sent me a bill that has contradictory information on it, leaving me unsure of what's going to happen with my bill. For the statement for XXXX, the most recent bill they sent me still says I can not pay the bill and XXXX days later they'll add it to my CP account, but they also say that I only have XXXX days left to pay the bill or they're going to send me to collections. I received no such threatening letters regarding my XXXX and XXXX bills as they were properly applied to my CP account.

I received three different notices so far from a company claiming I chose them for my care and that I owe a balance due. The letter describes me as a patient and is offering me a payment plan at 0 % APR and has attached a bill for {$460.00}. There is no doctor listed and no date of service listed and no one answers their phone call and the automated phone call asks me to enter personal information that is not on the letter in the first place such as date of birth. It looks fraudulent to me and since this is the third time I am getting a notice of a balance due, I believe it is fraudulent. They appear to be using many different names like XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They do have an address at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX and their phone number for carepayment listed is XXXX. Or XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX.

XXXX XX/XX/2018 received billing statement from " XXXX '' for {$0.00} dollars. This is similar to a credit card account. Problem is I did not sign up for this service. The service acts as a Health Care Credit Card account and collection ( including interest penalties ) for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Texas and surrounding area. I did not sign up for this service and immediately called ( XXXX ) and talked with " XXXX XXXX '' and told him I did not sign up for this service and cancel it immediately. XXXX said he would cancel the service. XXXX said he was aware I did not sign up and it was done by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and in connection with XXXX Bank. I told him I did not appreciate the attempt by both the aforementioned to enroll myself in an account that I did not want nor believe is in anyone 's best interest and that I was filing a complaint with the CFPB.

CarePayment allowed me to set up an auto bill via my credit card to pay monthly installments. They then shut the auto pay off without my authorization and charged me late payments. They had no authorization to shut off my auto pay. The nature of auto pay is that it is automatic, there should be no reason for me to do any " updates '' with them monthly to keep my auto pay turned on. This is just a way for them to charge unwarranted late fees.
