This is regarding maintenance fees for our timeshare. and Advanced Financial out of XXXX, CA. We were on auto payment and with no notice the company took us off and sent us to collection, XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, CA. We have XXXX timeshares and they were both on auto deduct and the payments were about {$7.00} different from one another so we did not notice that they had stopped. We received 2 calls and collections was NEVER mentioned. They sent us to XXXX XXXX credit who is charging us more than 50 % in fees plus interest of the total amount due! How is this legal. So many industries are regulated and I find it hard to believe that they are n't. This is like loan shark fees I can imagine. We never signed anything agreeing to these exorbitant fees. We owe the money and would like to pay it but Advanced Financial wont take any payments and in the meantime they are setting us up to fail. We believe these are UDAAP violations and that they want our time share back and are forcing our hand. The more time that passes the more the money adds up that we owe them. We were on a monthly since that is easier than having to come up with a lump sum. Looks like they are getting their way so far.

We have an annual timeshare maintenance fee of {$1700.00} due every XX/XX/XXXX. We also have all our taxes due at the same time and the holidays in XX/XX/XXXX. One XX/XX/XXXX, I paid XXXX XXXX XXXX {$1300.00} towards the {$1700.00} in fee 's. On XX/XX/XXXX, they added the following charges to our account : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX {$16.00} XX/XX/XXXX RF Reinstatement Fee {$50.00} XX/XX/XXXX CF Collection Fee {$180.00} On XX/XX/XXXX, when I paid the balance of {$410.00}, I noticed the {$330.00} in additional charges. The debt never became 30 days delinquent. Other than a late fee, are they legally able to charge fee 's other than a late fee if the account is less than 30 days delinquent?
