This is a company that is an app that you download on your phone and you can borrow money. You can also earn money by making purchases and getting gas and things like that. I did in fact use their service a couple times this past year as I have used their service before over a couple years ago. I noticed that I was starting to have credits come into my account and then taken back out from them. I tried to contact them and the only way to get a hold of them is through their chat. I constantly ask them to delete my bank account information. And they told me they could not. I was told to just delete the app but deleting the app does not stop them from having access to my bank. They say they do not have phone communications in case they need screenshots and things. I contacted them to let them know that the activity that they were doing on my account was not authorized by me. They were ignoring what I was telling them so I ended up contacting my bank. My bank started a dispute and they actually credited me with a provisional credit the amount that Earnin had taken from me. During this process I have been continuously contacting Earnin through the chat and I finally got them to contact me through email. But half the time they do not respond properly to what you were saying because youre basically talking to a robot. The responses to the chat and through the email seem robotic. I have taken screenshots of most of our conversations once I realize things were not going my way. I told them many times I felt they were they were being fraudulent and that I was going to report them. They just were not responsive to what I was telling them. They were telling me that any charges me to my account had to have been my fault. Now today I received a letter from my bank telling me I needed to provide proof that I attempted to cancel with Earnin because they manage to somehow create a spreadsheet showing credits and debits from them. Of course there are credits and debits from them but that does not mean that I did those. I feel like somebody at the company is somehow making extra money doing credits and debits from peoples accounts. The spreadsheet earnings sent to my bank looks like something anybody could type up. Theres no heading theres no anything that would really prove that I did those transactions. So now Im concerned that my bank is going to deny my initial claim and make me give back all that money meaning I am now out money twice because of this company.

I use an application called EarnIn. Earning is designed to send you up to {$750.00} dollars and you have to pay it back the day you get paid from your job. I have used it before and it really helps when you are in a bind between checks and are in an emergency. This company has a new feature where you can pay it back early. I selected the option to see if I can be able to make partial payments or the entire payment. Well, I wasnt given the option and was told after selecting the option to pay it back that it was scheduled for the next business day. I immediately reached out the company through their help desk to cancel. I first spoke with XXXX XXXX regarding the issue. She asked me if I wanted to use the remaining amount left to withdraw and I said yes. I was then told that the issue was resolved and the payment scheduled for XX/XX/2023 was canceled and to contact them on XX/XX/2023 before XXXX XXXX EST to reschedule the payment. I had confirmed with what I was told and she said it was correct. On XX/XX/2023, I woke up to a text from my bank saying that my account is negative {$400.00}. I immediately contacted this company back and spoke with the same person again. She was not fast to answer as this was a serious matter. She then responds by saying it can be rescheduled but you wanted to use the remaking amount left. I told her that she didnt clarify what she meant by using the remaining left over and I thought she was referring to what was already there, not what was gon na be there the next day. I was then told the process was not canceled because of that. I next spoke with XXXX XXXX. They were told the whole issue again and also included screenshots of the chat. He then said we can not reverse the funds but we will help you with bank fees if there are any. I explained to him I was told and double confirmed that the request was reversed and now I was being mislead. He was sending passive aggressive comments back and was not really taking care of the issue. I was told that when they brought out the feature, they did not create an override function for situations like this. Once I brought up that they have created a UDAAP issue, thats when everyone started caring more and watching what they are saying.

I downloaded this active hours app on XX/XX/XXXX maybe. It gives you money for the days you already worked and then take back what they gave you on your pay day. Well my pay day was Friday XX/XX/XXXX they were supposed to take out their {$100.00}. They were supposed to do it the morning I got paid but they did n't. I called my bank and asked if they already took they money I was informed that they did. So I went ahead and withdrew all my money because I do n't a have a debit card right now. So after I withdrew all my money I had maybe XXXX in my account. Saturday I woke up and I had a message that I had {$60.00} in my bank account I did n't understand how. Today on Monday XX/XX/XXXX active hours were supposed to send me XXXX. And they did but I called my bank and they told me that {$60.00} was - {$60.00} due to the 5 insufficient funds transactions that were trynna be made. I was confused on how I had 5 insufficient funds transactions because I did n't have no card to make these transactions come to find out Active hours were trynna make transactions with my account that I had no idea about. I was told that they already took their money so why were they trynna make transactions with my account putting me and the negatives. My complaint it they are n't really what they say they 're about. They told me three times they would change my max for me to be able to cash out more money but they never did. Not to mention you have to reach them by email you ca n't call them by phone they do n't have a phone number so you have to email them so it takes days for them to reply. I just do n't like this company and I will be removing my information from them.

Earnin is supposed to lend money out in between pay checks. They get paid back AFTER I get paid. Their policy states that they make sure that they won't deduct money from an account until AFTER a paycheck posts. This is a lie. On XX/XX/2023, they attempted to deduct {$840.00} BERORE i got paid. It cause overdraft fees and extensive stress on my part as they DRAINED my account. They also have no legitimate phone number and force customers to communicate via an outdated chat option in their app. I spent 3 hours trying to solve the problem and it took three escalations before anyone UNDERSTOOD that they can't take money out of my account before I get paid. They just said if I get overdraft fees, they would refund me, like that was OK. Supposedly after three hours, they fixed the next deductions to occur on XX/XX/XXXX. However, today, I was informed by the app that they would be deducting {$520.00} TODAY, 13 days early!!! Again, the only contact they provide is through their awful chat feature. So i spent several hours and they kept either not understanding ( with pictures provided ) or played XXXX to try to get me to give up my complaint. I had to move all the money out of my account to prevent them from draining my account a SECOND TIME in four days. I had to take off work 2 hours early to deal with their fraud, theft and broken company. I had to take off work and the 6 hours wasted on chat. I repeatedly asked to speak with someone and they refused over and over again.

I Have been with this company for the better part of 3 years. In that time I have been mistreated Half a dozen times. Most recently On XX/XX/23 The company attempted to debit an amount that I had cashed out the previous payday. Like always I made sure that my bank account was able to cover the cashout I always keep enough in my account to cover my debts and all autopays that's all I use that account for so there are never any unexpected withdraws. This is a process im very familiar with and that I expect every payday. I get paid the same every payday so there's no chance I didn't have enough to support a {$500.00} withdraw. However the company insists that in an attempt to collect the amount their system was unable to withdraw the full amount. This is something I understand. Systems malfunction. I offered to pay the remaining amount to keep my payday allowance high ( {$500.00} ). I was told by one associate that I had to pay the remainder and I'd have to do so by contacting a specialist. However he couldn't connect me to a specialist I had to leave the chat and come back in to request one. Only to be told there are no specialist. The next rep I talked to told me there no way to submit a payment that I had to wait till my next payday and my payday allowance would be subject to review. Mind you I've done nothing wrong. Their systems inaccurately collected my debits and there are no systems in place to rectify an error that was made by their network.

I spoke with Earnin through their chat feature since that's all they allow. I noticed they removed funds too early from my bank account, causing overdraft fees to my bank account. I notified them of this issue before the XX/XX/XXXX debit, and they assured me that it would not occur again. Earnin changed the due date, and I was sure Earnin resolved it. I rechecked the Earnin app before XX/XX/XXXX and noticed they had the date incorrect for withdrawal and had it set to 2 days before I am paid. I spoke with an agent and got nowhere, so I asked to speak with a supervisor who would not change my due date even though I explained that the bank does not deposit my funds while Earnin has chosen to debit my account. They informed me that I would have to wait until it happened again to change my withdrawal date. I was paid on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX and checked my account to see its accrued fees because Earnin refused to change my due date. I chatted online with another representative on XX/XX/XXXX who changed my withdrawal date to 1 day before getting paid to ensure I did not receive any fees. I received a case number and was told this would not happen again and the change was permanent. I've checked the app again and now Earnin has my withdrawal set to the XXXX. I don't get paid until 2 days before my check at XXXX XXXX CST.

on the XXXX app you are able to draw money up to a certain amount- they collect on payday- on the FAQs on their website they state multiple times in different capacities that they avoid fees by " waiting till they see the funds in the account '' on XX/XX/XXXX I was charged 5 nsf fees bc my paycheck hadn't posted- they have access to all acct info as it is a part of registering for the app- and have access to " see '' acct activity- I reported the issue that day via a chat feature which has since been disabled for my use- after that I corresponded via email and had to wait days in between responses- they requested info from me which I provided to the best of my ability- like screen shots- I have been a consistent user of the app- always tipping which is how the company generates capital- ultimately I was told since I could provide proof of deviation in my pay- which I am unsure of where the issue occurred anyway- either way they are deceptive when they say the " wait to see the money '' and that's how they " avoid fees '' they have to customer courtesy refunding- I believe they also altered the info in the the FAQs but I do have screen shots- they also put undue burden on the consumer with the lack of resources to contact them.

XXXX claims their sole purpose is to reduce or mitigate overdraft fees. Upon complaints from other individuals they have successfully reached out to several in regards to having overdrafted them when funds were not in a positive balance. This clearly goes against what this company stand for as far as their business motto goes. By offering consumers a pay day loan and continually reducing the amount a consumer can receive back also shows they do not care about their consumers and only further the benefit of even having the payday loan. They further hurt the consumer without regard to their financial wellbeing. I suspect I am not the only one who feels this way. I suspect more are suffering financial abuse by XXXX. I had been using XXXX ( formly Active Hours ) since XX/XX/2017. The point of the app is that you take out a small loan, and pay it back in full, automatically on your next payday when the bank detects money in your account. In late XXXX I updated my bank account information to a new account as the one they had on file was not going to have sufficient funds to clear this amount and was in the process of changing to a new bank. On XXXX XXXX removed {$50.00} and on XX/XX/XXXX they removed {$150.00} AFTER I had revoked authorization on this account and after I gave them an updated account to bill. I disputed it with my bank. They told me because it was an ACH debit that they could not reverse the transaction and I would need to contact XXXX. XXXX has no phone number to call, everything is done by message on the app. I've been around and around with them and they refuse to refund the amount that was charged in error, despite the fact they have my new bank account information. This has caused considerable issues for me with my bank account. I believe after I revoked authorization for them to charge my account they should have stopped charging it and used the other account I gave them!

I was notified that my debit day was changed to wednesdays, so I chatted in to their customer service line as this was strange. My paydays are always friday like most of americans. They told me that since my bank would post the deposits on wednesday most of the time they changed it. I let them know that this does happen but in no way was it something that was guaranteed because it depends on the bank and they don't have to post on that day. They assured me that it would be fine and that if there were any issues of overcharges due to the date then they would help and change the date. Now that it has happened, they drew the money today wednesday XX/XX/21 and of course my bank hasn't posted the deposit yet. They refuse to change the date stating that its always on wednesday so they can't even though its obvious that is incorrect. They also won't credit the overdraft fees as promised because of their error. I have been in chat with them for 3 hours now and they won't even change the date. They say its based on an algorithm but obviously its broken because this has happened. They have made no attempts to assist and then managers have been worse then the agents.

I emailed XXXX the week before repayment of my {$540.00} loan ( due XX/XX/XXXX ). I told them of my situation-loss of income- and they could not give me more time to pay because they had given me that courtesy once before in XX/XX/XXXX. Okay. I then sent them a follow up email letting them know the payments would be returned due to my financial hardship and they merely said if and when they were returned then they would try again for the next pay period, in 2 weeks. I sent an email revoking my previous authorization to automatically debit my account. I received an email from a XXXX saying due to the nature of my issue it had to be sent to a specialist and needed an intervention from them for further review. She checked back with me I believe 2 times over the next week in including the day of XX/XX/XXXX which they DEBITED MY ACCOUNT ANYWAY! Since they debit how you receive the funds- 5 different debits instead of one, I got charged NSF fees. They can NOT debit my account after I revoke authorization. I emailed them and have yet to hear back from them when usually they respond the same day and now that they've illegally taken my money, they won't respond.

I have tried cancelling or close my account with Earnin through their chat online by XXXX but unfortunately, they did not close my account, they put me on something else which I do not want and on XX/XX/2023 they will ACH {$9.00} and for what. I then turned them over to the California State Attorney 's Office regarding Earnins refusal to cancel or close my account completely. They did receive a letter from the California State Attorney 's Office regarding closing my account. Today, XX/XX/2023, I received an email from Earnin that they did close my account but there was a clause stating that it will not be completely close until the money I cashed out is returned. I have never received anything from Earnin, I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX Veteran and on a Fixed Income and I am very transparent on the words I am saying. I also responded to Earnins email regarding this situation and someone from Earnin responded to me as .... On XX/XX/XXXX, I emailed XXXX, as outlined in XXXX terms and conditions and stated that I am revoking authorization for them to use/charge my bank account and use of my personal information. I allowed 2 business days before the date of the scheduled transactions, also outlined in their terms and conditions. I received an email back from them XX/XX/XXXX, which suggested I can pay on a different date or schedule. I previously stated to them that I am experiencing a financial hardship, and understand the debt is my responsibility, but do not wish to speak about that matter at this very moment. The time of their email lead me to believe that they were saying they are not going to comply, and continue to charge my account, so I asked. On XX/XX/23 a direct deposit of XXXX was sent by my employer to my Earnin Express Account. Earnin did not credit my account and did not return the funds to my employer. Each time I spoke to support and was given the run around to finally get though to a specialist who robotically told me the same thing with time frames that contradicted themselves. I was told on multiple occasions that funds had been returned and even given a ACH item number as proof they returned the funds. My employer is a bank and told me the item number given was the exact number of the sent ACH Direct Deposit and not the item number for the refused/returned ACH. The banking partner of Earnin, XXXX XXXX and XXXX takes no accountability for their trusted partner Earnin. I just want my paycheck from over two weeks ago to be returned to my employer. And I hope their partner bank XXXX XXXX and XXXX will either remediate this from happening again to other people or stop facilitating Earnin.

Today, XX/XX/2021, I used the app called Earnin to make a cash out of {$100.00}. I clicked cashout and like the app promises, it's not obligatory to pay any fees. Instead, the app didn't even have an option to accept or decline any charges, it just automatically charged a pre-set tip amount that the app forcibly charged ( by fraud ) without my consent and without any approval. Instead of clicking ok or anything, I closed the app. I didn't even authorize it. I contacted the company via email and got an autoreply saying they don't monitor or reply to contacts. I asked Earnin to refund this illegally charged fee and remove the transaction. They refused to do so. I told them this is fraud and that I was also contacting the XXXX XXXX store because charging unauthorized fees like this is fraud and violates the app store terms of use. The person representing EarnIn continued being rude and refused to give me back the money they stole.

I have a total of {$340.00} to pay back from the app due tomorrow. The website says they have email and chat support. The app says they have email and chat support. On Monday XX/XX/XXXX I emailed their support team and requested to move the payment from XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX and the auto reply I received back instantly explained there will be a delay in the response, please chat with us if you do not receive a reply in 24-48 hours. I followed-up today with a request to the chat group in the app and they are telling me there is nothing they can do when they failed to follow-up to my first TIMELY email request. The supervisor tried to explain that their support email is no longer offered which is why no one followed-up in time. They are being deceiving because the email does not say that, nor does the website and app advise that.

I am trying to close my account. Yet, while I owe them {$520.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, when I try to close my account through the app, it says I owe {$630.00}, which is entirely fabricated with NO basis. They continue to provide horrible customer service, refuse to be contacted via phone, and seems like they deliberately spend hours without solving any problems. Now they can't even get the amount owed correct. They should not be allowed to take advantage of vulnerable customers. Yet again, they wasted hours of my time through their chat feature and closed my written requests to correct this and pointed me back to their chat feature. There is no accountability and they have repeated broken their own policies and contract with me. And now, I want to close my account and they added an extra {$110.00} for NO REASON.

I borrowed {$700.00} from Earnin App Loan the agreement is to pay off the debt every bi weekly Friday. They withdraw money from my checking account on Wednesday instead of Friday. Three days before my pay check was deposited in my bank account and they also deduct the debit at midnight before my paycheck was deposited to my bank that caused my checking account to be negative in balance and the bank charges me over draft fees. I am willing to pay back my loan but on the day i get paid not two days prior to my pay day. It was a breach of contract with my agreement with Earnin. They had a class action law suit last year and they lost. They are still doing it again in XXXX. They violated the judgement against them. Please help me? Thank you

I am an Earnin XXXX user. My paycheck goes through your third party bank to cover my paycheck advances, and you use your instant deposit feature to deposit the remaining balance into my XXXX XXXX XXXX account. All of the sudden my instant deposit feature was revoked without any rhyme or reason. The app also shows I was paid today, my normal payday. ( which I shouldve have been ) but I have yet to receive funds in my personal checking account. Ive reached out multiple times as last as Monday the XXXX of XXXX and as recent as today, the XXXX of XXXX. And I get the same response that your engineering team is working on it. But youre holding up my paycheck because your system is broken and thats theft.

This is not about a mobile wallet and there's no option for other but i have been using a mobile app. Its called earnins. Earnins is a service that let 's you borrow money before payday ... its a payday app and I have a limit of XXXX dollars on there and I only borrowed XXXX including small tips and they are trying to say that I owe them XXXX on my next payday. I never borrowed that much money. Thats my entire paycheck. So they get a hold of my bank account information and they are going to steal everything from me now. I need help pretty fast because that's my rent money and everything to live off of for 2 weeks. I would be drained out if every penny I have to even eat with. It's a payday service.

Earnin is an app that lets you do an advance without fees of a traditional payday loan I used the app for a loan in XXXX I asked for a new date but it turned out that I wasnt paid enough to cover the cost of what I borrowed I contacted then several times and no one assisted me or provided any sort of payment plan they just all used the same scripted answer and made me feel even worse. I have tried to work with them to no avail and now I had to take out a very expensive loan with XXXX and I have ten payments I have to make on the loan I took out with high interest because Earnin wouldnt work with me and instead was willing to have the item bounce or cause me to go overdrawn with additional fees.

Active hours app is showing that I withdrew {$100.00} on XXXX XXXX, 2017 to be transferred to my checking account, however no money was ever withdrawn and no fund we received in my checking account. I have contacted there support group multiple times, and have not been able to resolve. the last contact was last night. I did advise them that they better not try to take this money out of my account when I get paid on XXXX XXXX, 2017 since it is not something I ever received. I have not received any kind of response from them. I am beginning to believe the Activehours app is a scam. They have no phone number to call and speak to someone. Everything is done through email.

I filed a previous complaint because the company refuses to update my information to the correct pay dates and I was getting charged over draft fees. I filed a complaint before and they never got back to me or responded to me but seem to have taken down some info? They just credited my account for the overdraft fees and I received no other correspondence or information. I attempted telling them the correct days to pull out of my account to which they disregarded again. I am now being charged additional overdraft fees and they are charging a full day earlier than what they claim in the app. This is the second time I have been willfully mislead by this company.

Money was supposed to be debited on XX/XX/21, money was debited on XX/XX/21. I contacted Earnin and they instantly put the money back in my account. There 5 debits cleared the bank before my bills did, so I had a bill rejected that resulted in an overdraft fee. The money was in there to cover my bills, but the Earnin debits cleared instead. Earnin refunded 3 of my overdraft fees caused directly by their debits, but refuse to refund the fee caused by my bill being rejected, even though the bill would not have rejected had they not taken their money out on the wrong day.
