This company is calling people from my family and my ex-husbands new wife threatening they are going to file a judgment against them and myself if they don't cooperate. When I called them, they were very aggressive and disrespectful. I did use foul language when speaking to them out of anger, however I felt abused and threatened by them, they called me a child and that there was nothing I could do because the courts will take care of me and it will be ugly. They said " I'm sorry to have to do this to you in the middle of a pandemic, but we need to collect '' This is an old debt more than 5 years old that was less that {$500.00} dollars that I could not pay because of job loss, which since I have fixed my credit and have an account with the people they are claiming I owe and the account is active and in good standing. This debt they are trying to collect is not on my credit report at all. They are saying I owe {$1700.00} because of interest and fees ( original past due amount was {$500.00} for XXXX work I needed. This was a care credit account ). They would not give me the details on why the amount was so high and when I discussed how that could be lowered they said it could not be and they will seize my assets and my husbands assets. They will take me to court and will be reporting to the credit bureau. They said if I let them proceed with the judgment they will now be charging me in excess of {$6000.00} to {$7000.00}. They would not provide their full names or address to me so I could send a Debt validation letter. They kept putting me on hold every time I would try to speak. They would pass the phone back and forth between agents claiming to be the supervisor.

On Thursday XXXX XXXX I returned a call from my missed calls. That number was XXXX. A woman answered and told me she was calling from ADR ( Acknowledged Debt Resolutions. I was told I had an outstanding credit card debt from 10 years ago with XXXX XXXX and that I could either pay half of what i owed or that they will proceed with legal filings where i will then owe over XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was skeptical but they had my name, address, and last digits of my SS card ) Needless to say after a while i was transferred to another person who i was disconnected from. Then I called their XXXX number on their webpage and no-one answered that. The numbers I called or was called from are : XXXX XXXX While I am convinced this is a scam, they were very good and had information that i guess is public information about me but it still has put me on edge.
