I was in dispute with XXXX XXXX over auto damage I caused to a XXXX customers car and was attempting to come to a resolution. Instead XXXX sold the debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, CA ( XXXX : XXXX ). I was contacted by a representative of XXXX XXXX XXXX ( I do not remember his name ) and he threatened that if I did not pay immediately or provide my insurance carrier info he would report the incident to the California DMV and my license would get suspended for driving without insurance. And because the DMV only sends notification via mail, I could get arrested for driving with a suspended license during the time between the suspension starting and the notification arriving in the mail. A second representative from Accelerated Recovery Services ( XXXX XXXX ) called both of my parents at their place of business and left voicemails claiming to be a XXXX XXXX XXXX representative, saying that the message was for me that she needed to collect on the debt I owe. She then called me later that day. She threatened that if I did not pay within 24hrs XXXX XXXX would be forced to file a lawsuit against me to collect the debt. I tried to call her back the next day and she didnt pick up. she called me back and left a voicemail saying that I needed to call her back by XXXX that day.

I received a call from XXXX at XXXX XXXX He stated he was working with a law firm to collect the debt from a car crash I was in. I stated to him was he a debt collector he said no. Then proceeds to tell me if I dont pay {$250.00} that he will have my license suspended. I told him I couldnt afford said payment. And he was like Im send letter to your house make a payment by then or expect you license to be suspended. That is using false and miss leading information and threatening Tactics. He never stated he was a debt collector and any information will be obtained for collection of said debt. I never refused to pay and still dont. Suspension of my license is criminal not Civil.
