In XXXX, 2021 I noticed a derogatory mark on my XXXX credit report. This shocked me as I have excellent credit. Upon further investigation, I found that George Brown Associates notified the credit agency that I had an unpaid debt.
This was the first I heard about this debt. I attempted to call the company at ( XXXX ) XXXX - XXXX as listed on their website ( see submitted video for listed phone number on XX/XX/XXXX ). When this communication method failed for several days, I submitted a form on their website notifying them that I had never been notified of the debt, inquiring about the origin and amount of the debt, and contact information. This was sent on XX/XX/XXXX.
I also notified this debt collector that without this information I could not be expected to pay the debt. I provided my email address to the company so that they could respond.
It has been five months and I have not received any form of communication from George Brown Associates. I do not know why this company took the step of reporting debt to XXXX without attempting to rectify the debt with me first. I am also disappointed at the utter lack of communication channels to reach this company.
It is negatively impacting my credit, and I am now a graduate student applying for student loans. I feel helpless in rectifying the situation because this company has provided me no information. I only know about the debt through XXXX XXXX.

I received a letter from George Brown Associates in XX/XX/2022. It stated in the letter they were collecting a medical debt of {$3.00}. The letter gave the options of paying the debt or disputing the debt. I disputed the debt on there form and I enclosed a letter which I asked for a debt validation letter to be sent to me if they could not validate this debt to not contact me further. I sent this letter and debt dispute insert via certified mail on XX/XX/2022 they received the letter since I have the tracking number. I did not receive a debt validation letter back from George Brown Associates, INC nor response to debt dispute In XX/XX/2022 George Brown Associates contacted me again with same letter for same supposed debt. I called them on XX/XX/2022 again disputing the debt. Since it was over 30 days without a debt validation letter and no response to dispute of the debt. I am asking for them to stop contacting me. I do not owe this debt.
